Westport 164 Yachts for Sale

The flagship yacht of the westport fleet takes luxury cruising to a new level.

The Westport 164 luxury yacht series built by American yacht builder Westport is one of the most sought-after and revered yachts in its size range on the market. Launched from the Pacific Northwest shipyard, Westport first began producing the 164-foot series in 2006. Built in all fiberglass, the Westport 164 is one of the larger series produced by Westport. The hulls of yachts in this series are the work of Bill Garden and the styling is by the renowned Donald Starkey. As with other Westport yachts, the Westport 164 series provides a perfect platform for an owner to customize the yacht’s interior to an extent, including the capability to rearrange non-structural bulkheads. Westport luxury yachts offer exceptional seakeeping, stability, top pedigree, world-class design and a layout ideal for a successful charter program. The Westport 164 price reflects all the incredible facets of the yachts in the series and is why Westport 164s hold such high resale value.

W164 Superyacht Overview

All yachts in the Westport 164 series are ABS classed and MCA compliant. The Westport 164 has a top speed of 25 knots and cruises at 22 knots. She is powered by twin 3,650hp MTU engines. The yacht’s draft measures in at seven feet, three inches (2.2m) and ensures that she can access even more-shallow islands, inlets and is ideally suited for cruising locations such as The Bahamas. The Westport 164 also offers an impressive range. She can cruise 5,200 nautical miles when cruising at 12 knots. Her range at 16 knots is reportedly 2,900 nautical miles.

Tri-Deck Layout

Westport 164 luxury yachts for sale typically have three decks with alfresco spaces for guests to enjoy. The main deck aft is outfitted with an alfresco dining space. Some Westport 164s also have a main-deck foredeck seating space. The bridge deck also often has alfresco dining space and a seating area forward of the bridge. The sundecks of the Westport 164s are outfitted with Jacuzzis, full bars, alfresco dining and lounge spaces.

Yacht Accommodations

The 30-foot (9.2m) beam of the Westport 164 provides the perfect platform for a variety of configurations. As is customary for Westport, the yacht’s interior is customizable and often is designed by the owner. The yacht does offer a six-stateroom configuration. The most popular version has the full-beam master stateroom on the main deck, the VIP stateroom on the bridge deck where it has a private terrace and the additional staterooms below deck. Some opt to use one of the below deck staterooms as a gym rather than a fourth stateroom. The yacht typically carries 12 guests, but in a five-stateroom-plus-gym configuration, the Westport 164 would welcome 10 guests.

The Westport 164 yacht for sale is ideally suited for cruising with family and friends. Owners interested in chartering also should consider the Westport 164 as it is a very popular model on the charter market due to its well-thought-out and malleable layout. Westport 164 brokerage yachts for sale retain their high level of quality, are designed to stand the test of time and retain their value. Hospitality Boat | 164' Westport 2011

164' (50m) superyacht HOSPITALITY, delivered by Westport in 2011, is presented in exceptional condition following a comprehensive refit in 2021 which included enhancements to the interior, exterior, machinery, and technical. Her spacious layout accommodates 16 overnight guests across seven luxurious cabins, including a primary suite on the bridge deck and a VIP suite on the main deck. She is a proven world traveler built for extended cruising to some of the world's most remote places with an impressive 4000+ nautical mile range. HOSPITALITY is well-suited for a  business-savvy owner looking to enter the charter market with a proven platform. HOSPITALITY stands out from similar vessels in her size thanks to her cabin configuration. The superb owner’s suite is found on her bridge deck and boasts a private balcony, while her almost-equal VIP stateroom is on the main deck, making her particularly attractive for family or multi-family use. Five further cabins each have en suites and are located on the lower deck. HOSPITALITY also has a ‘bonus’ room that can be used as a fully equipped gym, sauna, or massage room. The welcoming interior spaces of HOSPITALITY are designed by Donald Starkey with warm wooden tones and soft neutral furnishings. Large windows flood the space with natural light. Her open-plan main salon offers an array of comfortable sofas for guests to relax with a morning coffee or evening cocktail. The dining space seats up to 12 and provides an opulent setting for more formal meals. Additional socializing space is found on her bridge deck. The cozy skylounge, complete with a grand piano, will be the perfect place to relax after a long day in the sunshine. The exterior is where HOSPITALITY lives up to her name with an abundance of spaces for entertaining. Al fresco dining can be enjoyed on both her main deck and bridge deck, each seating up to 12, with comfortable sofa seating and shade to protect from the heat of the sun. Her sundeck is a sun worshipper's paradise. Those on board can take advantage of several loungers before enjoying a refreshing cocktail in her covered bar area. With far-reaching views of the cruising grounds, sunpads, and large Jacuzzi, her bow area is to be enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. An ideal yacht for the Caribbean and the Bahamas, HOSPITALITY’s full suite of water toys stowed in the garage are included in the sale, furthering her appeal as a true turn-key program. Two davits provide ease of access for tenders and toys on the bridge deck. The Starboard davit is one of two that is rated as an emergency crane, both with a safe working load of 2000lbs, a foredeck davit is conveniently located on the bow when in guest mode, increasing efficiency when deploying PWCs. HOSPITALITY has a cruising speed of 15 knots and a maximum speed of 25 knots. She is powered by twin MTU 3650 horsepower engines.

With a motivated seller willing to accept the right offer, HOSPITALITY is a pedigree yacht with excellent charter potential, ready to delight her new owners and their guests.Key Features:

Our website offers a wide selection of Westport 164 Yachts for sale.

The flagship of the Westport yard offers the utmost luxury for a Bahamas-friendly superyacht. Accommodating up to 12 guests in the utmost luxury the yacht is ideal to island-hop for a week with friends and family. The yacht is a true achievement in yacht design combining all the luxury features from much larger yachts, while keeping a shallow draft, with a helipad on the sundeck and an on-deck spa, a master on the main deck as well as a stunning beach club.

The American yacht maker Westport’s Westport 164 luxury yacht series is one of the most coveted and esteemed yachts in its size range on the market. In 2006, the Pacific Northwest shipyard Westport began manufacturing the 164-foot class for the first time. The Westport 164 is one of the largest models created by Westport and is made entirely of fibreglass. Yachts in this series feature hulls designed by Bill Garden with styling by the legendary Donald Starkey. As with earlier Westport yachts, the Westport 164 series offers an ideal platform for internal customization, including the flexibility to alter non-structural bulkheads. Westport luxury boats provide great seakeeping, stability, top pedigree, world-class design, and an optimal layout for a prosperous charter program. This explains why Westport 164 yachts have such a high resale value: the price reflects all of the ships’ outstanding features.

Westport 164

Westport's new flagship, the 164 tri-deck accommodates twelve guests in unsurpassed luxury. A vessel as prized for the artistry of its contours as for the substance of its construction, the Westport 164 represents an exceptional landmark achievement in large yacht design.

Developed using leading-edge three-dimensional modeling and structural software applications also used in the aviation industry, this new yacht has met every objective for speed, ride, maneuverability, integrity, quality and classing capability. As with every Westport yacht, the 164 delivers the uncommon luxuries of predictable performance, on-time delivery and a full complement of equipment and features for immediate enjoyment.

Westport's design and engineering teams have collaborated with world-renowned designer Donald Starkey and prominent naval architect William Garden to develop a refined hull form for exceptional ocean-going performance, an innovative accommodation plan which balances interior and on-deck spaces for maximum enjoyment and versatility, and a contemporary styling that ensures lasting appeal.

The six-stateroom layout with on-deck full-beam master suite affords everyone a luxurious private retreat incorporating the finest fabrics, cabinetry, stone and leathers. An innovative arrangement includes a top-deck VIP suite with its own sun deck, a large formal dining room adjacent to the commercial-grade galley, and a garage aft for tenders and water toys. Designed for entertaining and relaxed socializing, the salon opens to a large covered aft deck with lounge, conversation areas and wet bar.

Twin MTU 16V4000 diesels drive the Westport 164 to mid 20-knot top speeds, and throttle back to deliver transoceanic range. ABS-classed and MCA-compliant, the 164 is equally well suited for private use or charter service.

Victory Design’s new Bolide line also includes a 164-footer that can soar to 70 knots.

164 ft yacht

Victory Design ’s newest luxury yacht is straight fire.

Named after the Italian word for “fireball,” the Bolide 80 is designed to bring all the performance, speed and agility of a hypercar to the high seas. The 79-footer, which is currently being built in partnership with Italy’s Perisco Marine under the supervision of Eugenio Voltolina, marks the first model in Victory’s new  Bolide  series. The 164-foot flagship, known simply as the Bolide 170, will be presented at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show this week.

“These are true collector’s jewels, not serially but custom-built: each unit is unique and exclusive,” Victory’s founder Brunello Acampora said in a statement.

164 ft yacht

The Bolide 80 is a strong starting point for the range. The sleek hull, which was engineered in-house, will be made from lightweight carbon with custom reinforcements by Microtex and structural cores by Diab. Billed as a “hyper muscle yacht,” the newcomer will be powered by MAN diesel engines supplied by Ranieri & Tonissi that will be mated to a patented T-Drive by Flexitab and a TS propulsion system with composite flaps. The Bolide 80 will have a cruising speed of more than 55 knots and a thundering top speed of up to 75 knots, according to the studio.

The Bolide 170, meanwhile, will be available with either diesel or hybrid propulsion that will produce a top speed of 50 knots and 70 knots, respectively. The diesel version features a light alloy hull and a carbon-fiber superstructure, while the hybrid model will sport a composite hull. Both yachts will be fitted with innovative tech that reduces fuel consumption per mile by 50 percent compared to other vessels of the same length, according to Victory.

164 ft yacht

Taking cues from the great Italian coachbuilders, Victory says each vessel will be finished to the highest standards. The interiors, which were spearheaded by architect Stefano Faggioni, epitomize that classic “made in Italy” style with exposed carbon, fine leathers, soft marbles and meticulous stitching. The Bolide 170 will be equipped with four guest cabins, one owner’s suite and a large crew area, as well as a beach club with folding terraces, a large tender garage and one swimming pool that cascades into another.

“These boats are designed for true collectors and for those who love the thrill—which cannot be waived—of speed, while experiencing it with up-to-date means, in total safety and reducing environmental impact,” adds Acampora.

To ensure exclusivity, Victory said it will cap the number of units taken to build. The Bolide 80, for example, will be limited to just 10 examples.

Straight fire, indeed.

Penned by Clifford Denn, the exterior is characterized by long, flowing lines and a round-bilge hull. The owner, who is a skilled seafarer, added a second steering position on the flybridge and a foldable mast that allows the vessel to pass beneath bridges. He also opted for a hybrid propulsion system (a first for Heesen) that ensures cleaner cruising and reinforced insulation to keep things cozy even in northern areas.

“Heesen’s Smart Custom solution represented the perfect starting point for an experienced yachtsman to concentrate on the important details for him and his family,” the owner’s representative, Stefan Zucker, said in a statement . “ Cinderella Noel IV is a testament to Heesen’s intelligent approach, allowing this family to create their dream machine with the certainty of a result which would have taken considerably more time and cost to build individually without being sufficiently tested.”

The owner worked closely with Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s in-house engineering team to create a layout suited to long periods at sea. The living quarters feature his and her working spaces and sliding partitions that create privacy as needed. The decor is the epitome of “quiet luxury,” with subtle white, greige, and taupe furnishings contrasting rich wood flooring. There are pops of deep blues and greens, too, with the colorway reflecting the high-latitude parts of the world Cinderella Noel IV will cruise.

The exterior decks are nothing to sneeze at, either, with a glass-bottomed swimming pool, a fire pit, and multiple lounge and dining areas.

“ Cinderella Noel IV is imbued in every detail with the owners’ passion and experience,” adds Heesen CCO Mark Cavendish. “The energy they have put into creating a yacht that perfectly suits their lifestyle is impressive.”

Cinderella Noel IV is expected to officially take to the seas in March 2024.

Heesen’s Hybrid Superyacht

  • By Kim Kavin
  • Updated: April 23, 2019

164-foot Heesen Yacht Home

Capt. Mike French has learned how to make an entrance.

He realized early on that the 164-foot Heesen Home garners more attention than other yachts. Her contemporary exterior styling catches the eye, so much so that one time, on a Fort Lauderdale river, he looked out and saw more people taking pictures than he’s seen from aboard any other yacht in the past 30 years.

So, he decided to combine Home ‘s charisma with her 7-foot draft, putting her in places where she isn’t expected to be, and where she looks even grander.

“In the Tobago Cays, we can get into where the smaller sailboats are,” he says. “It’s pretty impressive. We got into Highbourne Cay the other day in the Bahamas with all the smaller boats — those are the sorts of things we can do. Everyone’s looking, and people like that. It’s not inconspicuous.”

164-foot Heesen Yacht Home

And the onlookers likely don’t even realize just how unique of a sight they’re seeing. Home , which was delivered in 2017 , is the first Heesen Fast Displacement Hull Form with hybrid propulsion. She is one of a kind in the world, and on the charter market, as she prepares for her first spring charter season in the Bahamas and her first summer season in the West Mediterranean, as part of the Yacht-Zoo fleet.

164-foot Heesen Yacht Home

The propulsion system lets Home run in virtual silence around 10 knots, or climb above 16 knots in diesel mode. For charter clients, that makes shifting from Harbor A to Harbor B an exercise in trying to figure out whether the power plants are even turned on.

“The key is comfort,” French says. “We can move with virtual silence. It just slips through the water. You can move without anyone realizing it — it’s true. It’s only the generators that are on, and you can’t really hear them. They run electric motors, which turn the props, and that’s how we move. It’s obviously not as fast as with diesel, but it’s not like we’re moving particularly slowly. It’s not hampering us in any way.”

164-foot Heesen Superyacht

Charter clients also receive a sizable savings on fuel costs. According to Heesen, at 10 knots in hybrid mode , this superyacht’s fuel consumption is less than 12 gallons of fuel per hour.

On board, interior designer Cristiano Gatto worked with Heesen to create an experience of bringing the outdoors in. The design elements go beyond sole-to-ceiling windows and wide views; they also include connections between the outdoor and indoor spaces.

164-foot Heesen Superyacht

“The design is very clever,” French says. “You have these areas where you have the outdoor area, and then because of the use of space and windows and light, people can be inside in the air conditioning and still be interacting and feel like they’re part of the outdoor experience. The swim platform is one of those areas. It’s nothing I’ve seen before, and it genuinely works. Even people with relatively conservative tastes have come on board and said, ‘Wow, this is spectacular.’”

Another fan-favorite area, he says, is at the bow, where there are two elevated chairs.

“You sit on the chair facing aft, two people next to each other,” French says. “We then turn the chairs around, and you’re facing forward, probably 15 or 20 feet above the water. It’s silent, and you’re hovering — it’s like being on a helicopter over the water. The owner just thought it would be a totally unencumbered way to see the sea.”

Helping guests see the world in memorable ways is his goal for the entire Home charter program. Because the yacht has not chartered previously, French and the crew are open to trying just about anything clients can imagine doing — especially if it means positioning the yacht for views that others in her size range can’t achieve.

“Whether it’s the Pitons or Stromboli or Vesuvius,” he says, “we want to see about getting people there.”

Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses
