Lagoon 440 (Puerto Rico)

S/V Nani is a highly sought-after and wonderfully maintained 3-cabin Owners Version, 2007 Lagoon 440 catamaran and has never been in charter, for sale by owner.  No hurricane damage or bulkhead issues. Are you looking for a turnkey, bluewater catamaran that is ready for sailing?

Lagoon 42 (Florida)

Lagoon 450 F (Bahamas)

S/V Marlove is a 2011 Lagoon 450 F Owner version catamaran, for sale by owner. EU VAT PAID, NEVER chartered, she is viewable in Bahamas from Jan 10th, in perfect shape. Small trades such as for cars and monohulls can be considered.

The Lagoon 450 has taken several items ideas from its predecessor, enhanced them through owner feedback, and created a larger sail area for favorable cruising speeds. The 450 flybridge version gives optimal visibility and access to sailing controls while providing easy access to the main cockpit and seating areas via twin stair wells. Cushions and lounging areas abound for the family and crew to relax under way or in port. As with all Lagoon catamarans the vertical windows provide superb visibility while maximizing interior space and keeping the interior cool under those overhanging eyebrows.

Lagoon 42 (Mexico Pacific)

S/V Korra is a 2018 Lagoon 42 catamaran, for sale by owner. Korra has been owned and actively maintained by a full-time cruising couple since 2020. She is a 3-cabin owner’s version and is extremely well outfitted for blue-water cruising.

Starting in Spain, the owners sailed across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal and up the west coast of Mexico to her current destination in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Lagoon 40 (Caribbean)

S/V Blue Iris is a 2019 Lagoon 40 catamaran, for sale by owner. She has been in charter in BVI for past 5 years minus 2 years during the pandemic. Regular maintenance with yearly hauling out checked over and bottom paint. Priced to sell in BVI.  Once we bring her to the US, the price will be much higher.

The 40 is endowed with enhanced performance. The larger sail plan than other Lagoon models ensures a better sail surface/displacement ratio, making the 40 a fast and seaworthy boat. The decision to move the mast further aft, arising directly from VPLPs experience in racing, has many advantages. For ease of handling, the 40 has a self-tacking jib and a shorter boom. For more performance, the 40 has a large foretriangle offering a greater choice of foresails and a high-aspect mainsail, enabling use of less disturbed air higher up.

On deck, space and comfort are combined with a new aft cockpit layout like that of the 42. This space is open to the sea, with a dining table to port that can accommodate up to twelve guests, a relaxation area on the same side, and a seat on the aft crossbeam. The ergonomic helm station can be accessed from the cockpit or the deck, affording continuous communication between the helmsman and the rest of the crew. The skirts are wide, with a large platform, to enjoy the sea with feet in the water as well as to facilitate access to the dinghy and enable an easy and safe climb aboard.

Lagoon 450S (Caribbean)

S/V Mystic is a US-flagged, 2018 Lagoon 450S Owner Edition catamaran, for sale by owner.

The original owners are accomplished offshore sailors with 22 years of experience who have been cruising S/V Mystic through the Virgin Islands, New England, Florida, and the Bahamas since she was built. S/V Holy Cattitude is a 2020 Lagoon 42 catamaran, for sale by owner. Commissioned April 5, 2020 in Puerto Rico, we feel the Lagoon 42’ was a perfect fit for our transition into retirement. From our Puerto Rico home-base, Holy Cattitude kept us safe throughout the Caribbean, this past 4 years.

Holy Cattitude features new hull polishing and bottom paint in January of 2024, as well as Victron control station and charger in 2023. She also had her engines serviced in June of 2023 and has had her sail drive serviced in January of 2024.

We Explored the Spanish Virgin Islands exclusively, our first year, while honing our catamaran sailing skills and familiarity with our new 42. Lagoon 380 (California)

S/V Misha is a 2000 Lagoon 380 catamaran, for sale by owner. Misha is hull number 15, which if you check the reviews, was better built than later models.

This catamaran has had only 2 owners, NEVER chartered, and is in excellent condition. Only 700 hours on the engines. Custom interior upholstery and curtains. A joy to sail, super easy and fun. The reason for the low engine hours is due to the fact that the original owner lived in Arizona and only used the catamaran in the summer on the San Francisco Bay. This boat has been babied from day one.

The Lagoon 380 is known as the most successful cruising catamaran model. Introduced in 2000, it was built to be a workhouse for the charter industry and an entry level-cruiser. It is a great entry level cruising catamaran that sails better than many other cats and provides lots of living space for the money.

Lagoon 410 S2 (Caribbean)

S/V Breezy is a 2004 Lagoon 410 S2 catamaran, for sale by owner. We are selling our 2004 Lagoon 410 S2. A current survey from August 2023, with a job list completed.

We spent the last couple of months fixing everything on the boat that was deemed an issue in the recent survey including brand new anti-slip and top paint. The hulls are also freshly painted with Seahawk and the hulls have been polished to bring the exterior of the boat to a sparkling new finish.

Lagoon 500 (Florida)

S/V Wonder is a 2008 Lagoon 500 catamaran, for sale by owner. She has had only TWO owners and has NEVER been chartered. This vessel has barely been used, has been well taken care of and customized for long passages. She is ready for any passage and perfect for liveaboards! Includes Starlink Antenna.

Wonder is fully equipped with everything that you could ask for, from two electrical diving compressors to fixed stainless steel lifelines that are also extended higher up for even more safety. The transom (sugar scoops) have been extended by 1.07m for more stream line sailing, with pull-down ladders on each side. After 20 years experience as a Lagoon dealer, I made this catamaran perfect for sail and live on board. I removed many electronic complications such as Dometics, Yanmar engines, electronic injectors, and electronic fuel pumps. They are now without electronics. Engine controls are mechanical, no more electronic Micro Commander.

After I repaired several boats with electronic damage for lightning or magnetic field, I saw that they remain in the sea without any possibility to start the engines, without electronics, with the need to be towed into port. So I decided to fix my Lagoon 52 that is much more safe now. The catamaran has been completely renewed in 2022 and is ready to go.

Caribbean first impressions and hurricane plan

Peter has just had his Lagoon 630MY shipped to the Caribbean after 3 years in the Mediterranean.

He is already loving the abundance of sea life, catching fish on every cruise and spotting turtles in the clear ocean. Peter is enjoying the cultural mix and lots of rum while settling into the consistent weather conditions.

Mediterranean highlights and advice

After three years in the Mediterranean Peter says he could definitely have spent another three… But unfortunately, everyone has time restraints… There aren’t many islands in the Mediterranean Peter hasn’t visited, with an impressive list of 47 in Greece alone… Peter talks about his favourite places and what he got up to in the winter.

Sailing Sabella – A Lagoon 42 Adventure

“I wanted a big, spacious saloon that you could see through for transparency. I wanted it to feel like a home, like a floating apartment. I thought regarding the kids, on the 42 specifically, we can steer the boat from here on the same level, it’s not a separate area … and the entire thing can be enclosed without it being a visual and physical barrier,” said Lara.

Waters Family Update

‘Lagoons are perfect as a live-aboard option. They have plenty of room, everyone in the family has their own space. Tyler can be off in her room, Max on the trampoline burning off energy, Darren keeping on top of the maintenance. The boat never feels cramped,” says Kristy.

“Living the dream” on board a Lagoon 380

Every day is magical when you’re living on board. Take this morning, for example … the water was like a millpond, delivering a special sunrise. This was the view from our cabin as we woke up. We chose the 380 for her spacious interior. She’s super easy to sail, well suited for the two of us to live and work on board comfortably and she has plenty of indoor and outdoor living areas,” Said owners, Justin and Kelly.

Sailing Sabella April Update

Lagoon 42 owner Aaron tells us “…living on Sabella is wonderful. Whilst much smaller than an Australian house, we each have our own space and it doesn’t feel cramped.”

Home sweet home is a Lagoon 420

Bob and Margaret Kennedy have called their Lagoon 420 home for 6 years, “We thought it was terrific. In comparison, our other boat was ‘camping’, but this was ‘home’. We found a little-used boat in very good condition – we lucked out with the perfect boat.”

The Jones Family heads for warmer climates

“There are so many wonderful memories from this short time at sea – sunsets, dolphins, peaceful night watches – this way of life is just spectacular and really feels right for our family. We pinch ourselves each day and wonder when we’ll wake up from the dream,” Lagoon 42 owners the Jones family.

This Lagoon 450F was Johns 3rd out of 4 Lagoons “You want to buy a production boat, built in a factory in series. You get a properly designed and built boat. Compared to other 40ft boats a 40ft Lagoon will have the most volume. A signature of Lagoon is its vertical windows. The advantages are you have ample headspace in the saloon, plenty of light and 360 degree views, whilst keeping the sun out.”

The Jones Family take delivery of their new 42

“We’re in Les Sables-d’Olonne and we’re taking the boat out for a test sail and I’m floating on a cloud, I’ve got no idea what’s going on! It’s the most stunning day – in January no less! The weather was fine and the wind almost calm, but regardless she made 3 knots in 5 knots of breeze. What a clever little thing she is!”

“As soon as we got onboard, we were sold— the sliding doors were brilliant, the big glass window right by the kitchen sink—it was just like an apartment,” said Lagoon 39 owners.

Don McIntyre, Global Adventurer and Explorer, Life in Tonga with his Lagoon 450, Golden Globe, Royal Yacht Club Nomuka. Don describes the boat as “perfect, fantastic, incredible”— this “is the most fun” and “living on-board is like an apartment on the water”.

The liveaboard life Lagoon style

The Atkinsons love their catamaran. They had the design in mind for 20 years, and even though they weren’t actively looking, when they saw the Lagoon 400, they found the exact layout they had been dreaming of.

Lagoon 42 modified for quadriplegic sailor

‘When you’re in a wheelchair there’s a lot of places you never see or you can’t get to. They’re just not accessible. Yesterday when we were out we sailed past some of those places that I have never seen before,’ Cliff said. For many sailors the freedom of the sea is one of the attractions. For Cliff, it’s life changing.
