The Building & Designing of Luxury Yacht SEAWOLF
The yacht's general design work came from Dbr Huisman. The technical naval architect drawings are the work of Dbr Huisman. Built at Smit J & K the yacht was constructed within the Netherlands. She was successfully launched in Kinderdijk in 1957 before being delivered to the owner. The core hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht main superstructure is fabricated mostly from steel. With a beam of 11.22 metres / 36.8 feet SEAWOLF has fairly large internal space. A deep draught of 4.8m (15.7ft) limits the list of overall marinas she can berth in, taking into account their individual characteristics. She had refit maintenance and alteration work carried out by 2006.

The yacht engages twin capable SMIT-MAN diesel engine(s) and can manage a swift top speed underway of approximately 15 knots. The main engine of the SEAWOLF produces 1500 horse power (or 1104 kilowatts). Her total HP is 3000 HP and her total Kilowatts are 2208. SEAWOLF is propelled by a single screw propeller. For stabalisers she was built with Koopnautic. For bow thrusters she was fitted with Brunvoll. SEAWOLF has a/an comparatively good cruising speed is 11 knots which produces a range of 13000.

Motor Yacht SEAWOLF Completes Major Refit

The striking 58.8m/193’ 1957-built SEAWOLF has completed an extensive 120-day refit and is now looking better than ever ready for the summer charter season.
The refit was the result of a collaboration between the New Zealand and Spanish yards Integrated Marine Group (IMG) and Atollvic, with at times over 65 full-time employees working simultaneously on the project. Superyacht SEAWOLF initially went in for her five-year ABS survey but it was later decided that while she was there she should undergo further works to bring her up to date.
Some of the work completed included the installation of a new air conditioning system, the replacement of the sewage tank, refurbishment of the aft deck crane, an overhaul of the vessel’s steering, 26sqm of steel plate replacement for the ice B-class hull, the switch of the windlass system from DC to AC power, and the installation of a new AMS system and fire detection system.
Due to the amount of experienced workers contributing to the project, it was able to be finished efficiently within a relatively short amount of time and enabled her Captain and crew to get back out on the water. With meticulous maintenance and upgrades, SEAWOLF continues to offer all the luxuries and beautiful styling of even the most modern superyachts available for charter despite her age. She was previously an ocean going tugboat before being converted into a luxury yacht in 2002 with beautiful accommodation for 12 guests in six staterooms and a huge selection of amenities.

The 58.83 metre explorer yacht Seawolf, listed for sale by Jody O'Brien at Fraser, has been sold in an in-house deal with the buyer introduced by Dennis Frederiksen..
