Yacht Charter in Montenegro
Montenegro yacht charter
The country of Montenegro is one of Europe's smallest, but fast becoming a hub for yacht enthusiasts. It only has around 300km of coastline, but its relatively untouched natural scenery, a small collection of smaller islands, and historical towns create a yacht holiday unlike any other. Much beauty can be found on its coastline, with magnificent architecture, fascinating history, and glamourous marinas. It is no doubt that Montenegro will be one of the world's top sailing destinations in the near future.
Why charter a yacht in Montenegro?
To charter a yacht in Montenegro is one of the most exciting ways travelers can discover this wonderful country in the Balkan Peninsula. Croatia is a short 30 minutes away, with Italy also a stone's throw away. With perfect sailing conditions in the summer, Montenegro offers plenty of itineraries to choose from for a yacht charter holiday in the Adriatic Sea.
What are yacht charter prices in Montenegro?
Yacht charter prices in Montenegro depend on several factors, such as the type of boat, the rental duration, the number of people on board, and cruising destinations. A 44-foot catamaran with six cabins can cost around $3,100 for a week's rent, while a 289-foot luxury yacht for 12 people on board can cost about $480,000 for a week's rent. A 310-foot superyacht complete with marble finishing, swimming pool, and ensuite facilities can go for $1.2M for a week's charter in Montenegro.
When is the yachting season in Montenegro?
The yachting season in Montenegro falls in the summer, which is the hottest and driest time of the year. The months of May to September offer ideal sailing conditions, with May and June being the peak season for sailing.
Montenegro yacht charter for a day
A full day yacht charter in Montenegro can start in Tivat, on the Bay of Kotor. Being the country's tourism center, a visit to Budva's long sandy beaches is a top priority on your itinerary. Before you arrive at Budva, however, you must visit the Blue Grottos, where a fantastic array of river caves are found on the coast, accessible only by boat. You can take a kayak to enter the Grottos or swim inside. You can enjoy a few hours on Budva's sandy beaches, explore the town with its narrow streets, the old walled city, or have lunch in the sea's restaurants. You can then head to the island of Sveti Stefan, where you can spend an hour or two on the north or south beaches, which are open to the public for a fee. An ancient fishing village, the island is now privately owned by a 5-star resort, but the island remains a sight for sore eyes and makes for a great cruise along the waters.
Montenegro yacht charter overnight
An overnight yacht charter in Montenegro can take you to the port town of Bar, where you can discover the well-preserved old town, taking you back in time. Look for an ancient olive tree that's 2,000 years old, visit the castle of King Nikola, and explore Lake Skadar, the largest lake at the Balkan Peninsula. Drop anchor on the Bay and continue your itinerary in Budva, where you can marvel at the narrow streets and seaside vibe with gourmet restaurants and cafes. Enjoy a swim in one of the beaches before you get back on board and head back to Tivat.
Montenegro yacht charter for a week
Cruising along the coastal villages and towns of Montenegro can take you a week to explore. Therefore, a one-week liveaboard on a private yacht charter is perfect for an immersive experience in this small Balkan country. Here is a sample one-week yacht charter itinerary in Montenegro:
Day 1: Herceg Novi
Depart from Tivat's town on the Bay of Kotor and visit the small coastal town of Herceg Novi, which sits on the Bay entrance. Here, you will find three medieval fortresses, several beaches to enjoy swimming and kayaking, mud baths, and a beautiful old town with winding stone streets.
Day 2: Ulcinj
Cruise along the coast and drop anchor in Ulcinj, which borders Albania. It has a lively nightlife scene in the summer, and its Old Town is worth exploring with its stone walls. Climb the beautiful castle that overlooks the sea for panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, then have drinks at a hilltop bar with stunning views of the Bay.
Day 3: Petrovac
A day of enjoying the beach is waiting for you at Petrovac, a 600-meter long famous beach. After, head to the promenade where bars and cafes are found, then visit a 16th-century fortress built by the Venetians. There are plenty of water sports activities here, and several excellent seafood restaurants, an ideal place for families.
Day 4: Radovici
Visit the Blue Grottos on the Lustica Peninsula, where water's bluest shades offer excellent swimming conditions. Only about 500 people live here, making it a charming, quaint, and warm coastal village with small shops and alleys.
Day 5: Rose
This picturesque village located on the peninsula's western tip features a rocky beach that offers excellent diving spots for scuba dive enthusiasts. It is a fisherman's village with mountains as backdrops and provides a peaceful and tranquil destination.
Day 6: Kotor
Located on the Dalmatian Bay, Kotor is surrounded by tall, beautiful cliffs and a fort covering the coast. The village's old town center is worth a visit, with its winding streets, Romanesque churches, and medieval structures. Head to the village of Perast on the Bay's edge and visit the small islet where the Our Lady of the Rocks is found, one of Montenegro's top tourist spots.
Day 7: Tivat
Your seventh and last day will be spent cruising back to Tivat and making shortstops in the small coastline villages or secluded beaches found on the coast.
Wedding yacht charter in Montenegro
Montenegro's wedding yacht charter gives you an excellent opportunity to cruise along the Bay of Kotor and have the beautiful scenery and mountains in your backdrop. Give your guests the chance to explore one of Europe's most beautiful parts, as you move on to enjoy your honeymoon after your wedding yacht charter. With delicious cuisines, free-flowing drinks on board, and a lively party atmosphere, a yacht charter for a Montenegro wedding is genuinely a unique experience that can't be met by any other wedding destination in the world.
Luxury yacht holiday in Montenegro
As the Pearl of the Mediterranean, Montenegro offers lavish lifestyles with its luxury boutiques, casinos, nightclubs, and cosmopolitan appeal. But amidst all this, its natural wonders are relatively untouched. Its historical towns offer so much beauty and tranquility that you will feel like you've been transported to another century. Imagine enjoying all these wonders of Montenegro while onboard your very own exclusive luxury yacht, complete with VIP service and luxurious amenities. The yacht becomes more than a vessel; it becomes a key to unlock a world where every bay, cove, and harbor whispers secrets waiting to be discovered.
What Should I Consider Before Renting a Yacht in Montenegro?
Before embarking on this aquatic adventure, there are a few vital considerations that must be made to ensure that the journey is as harmonious as the landscapes themselves.
⛵ Weather Patterns
Understanding the local weather and seasonal changes is of paramount importance. These waters have nurtured life for ages and they have their unique way of governing the winds and tides. One must respect and adapt to these natural rhythms to fully appreciate the splendor of the sailing experience.
⛵ Local Regulations and Navigation
The laws and regulations of the land and sea are as intricate as the rock formations that line the coast. Adequate knowledge of these legal requirements, paired with a comprehension of the charts and navigational routes, ensures a journey that is both safe and mesmerizing.
⛵ Ecological Responsibility
The environment that cradles this part of the world is fragile. Recognizing the ecological footprint of a yacht and making conscious decisions to minimize that impact is a tribute to the land and waters that so graciously host your exploration.
Which is the Best Yacht for Montenegro Waters?
In choosing a vessel, the synchronization of form and function must be considered. A yacht is more than a boat; it's a companion, a co-explorer in this grand expedition.
⛵ Size and Design
The intricate network of bays and coves calls for a vessel that is nimble yet robust. It needs to be both a delicate dancer, able to glide through narrow passages, and a formidable force against the winds and waves of the open sea.
⛵ Amenities and Comfort
The yacht should reflect a home upon the water, providing comfort and amenities that enrich the journey. The boat was kept in fine condition. Office staff very helpful.
Absolutely brilliant. There was 10 of us and we all agreed that it was the highlight of the trip. Velimir is the nicest guy, nothing was too much trouble. We had lots of drinks in a big ice tub, music blaring and he took us to so many great spots for swimming, climbing and relaxing. Really great boat that's even better than the pictures. A perfect day out, thanks so much!!

The mountainous landscape make it perfect for cruising along the stunning bays. Multiple sites are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site and the region showcases fortresses and and old towns from the 14th century.
Renting a boat in Montenegro
Like most of the Mediterranean, it's best to go during the summer. June, July and August are the best sailing months and you'll find these months to be very sunny and hot. The rest of the seasons are typically characterised by heavy rainfall.
The rain of the off season dictates the typical pricing of the region. For most of the region, you can typically rent a monohull for on average 150€ per day during off season to 300€ per day during high season. For catamarans, the typical price would be around 200€ outside of June, July and August while the high season would
Where to sail in Montenegro
Depending on your rental, your itinerary will certainly change if you rented one day or an entire week. If you are doing a weekly charter, there are a few essential areas you will need to see. Herceg Novi should be a stop on your charter. Characterise by a long rich history, you'll see squares and historic buildings throughout the old city. The Bay of Kotor is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful bays in the entire world. When you enter the bay, you'll appreciate the beauty of the old city surrounded by a mountainous landscape.
The other popular departing spots would be the classic Porto Montenegro in Tivat. It is considered a luxury yacht marina and a majority of the yacht charters depart from here. The last must see destination would be Budva. The old city of Budva has a very different landscape with welcoming beaches and crystal clear water.

Rent a sailboat in Montenegro
Pros of renting a sailboat in Montenegro
A sailboat charter in Montenegro offers the amazing opportunity to explore this wonderful part of Europe on your own terms and in your own time. You don’t need to stay close to any marinas in case you have to refuel, the only fuel you're moving with is the wind. Feel the wind on your skin and taste the salt on your lips while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
If you’re someone who is conscious of the environment and wants to continue doing good while on vacation, a sailboat rental in Montenegro is exactly what you were looking for. Powered solely by the wind you become one with nature and harness the wind. This makes it one of the most affordable options to rent a boat in Montenegro .
Cons of renting a sailboat in Montenegro
While a sailboat hire in Montenegro has many advantages, there are also some less appealing things about it you should consider. If you plan on stopping by all the lovely beaches you have heard so much about, a sailboat in Montenegro might not be your best choice as they have a keel, which can make it extremely difficult or even dangerous to anchor close to the shore. You might end up disappointed, because you can only admire the beaches and other parts of the coast from a distance.
As sailboats are highly dependent on the wind, you might end up stuck in the middle of the sea for a certain period of time when the wind suddenly stops blowing. But if you bring a book and a lot of patience you’ll do great.

A catamaran hire in Montenegro is also fantastic for anyone who wants to explore all the amazing beaches this part of Europe has to offer. Catamarans have a shallow draft, allowing for easy access to the shore and safe sailing without having to worry about hitting anything underwater that you might not see.

The Oceanis Clipper 411 is the perfect sailing yacht for family vacations or exciting adventures with friends.
On board can accommodate 10 people in double cabins, one with a bunk bed and a saloon. The salon is spacious and comfortable, with a dining group on the starboard side. The galley is extended along the port side. Due to the relatively small width of the boat, the need for two helms disappears, but there is enough free space for movement. During transitions, the cushions in the cockpit can be easily removed and taken back to the parking lot - with them the cockpit will turn into a great lounge area. Wherever you anchor, a bathing ladder is sure to come in handy. To protect from inclement weather and the sun, the boat is equipped with a bimini and a splash guard. Navigation equipment includes GPS and autopilot.
Yacht rental price
The rental includes:.

Parking in Marinas and meals are paid separately
Book a yacht
The most popular day route is a swim trip to the island of Mamula or to Kotor and back to the yacht's mooring.
The yacht sails at a maximum speed of approximately 9 km/h. To get to Budva from the yacht's parking lot, we will need to spend half a day, and then another half day to go back. Walks start and end in our home marina, next to Tivat airport. In exceptional cases, for an additional fee, we can pick up and drop you off in the settlements of the Bay of Kotor, but keep in mind that the draft of the yacht is 2 meters, we cannot approach the shore, the owners of specially equipped berths for yachts will charge a lot of money for embarkation and disembarkation of passengers at their own berth. Boarding and disembarking outside of our marina is carried out with the help of a rubber boat, you should be prepared for this.
We love sailing. If you want, we will definitely do it, weather permitting. The decision to set the sails is made by the captain, in accordance with the weather conditions. You will have the opportunity to take part in setting and tucking the sails, as well as in steering the sailing yacht.
Please bring swimwear, sunglasses, hats and sunblock. Dress for the weather if you are going on a yacht trip in early spring or late autumn, keep in mind that it is always colder on the water than on the shore. Bring drinks and food that you need with you. The yacht has all kitchen utensils, a gas stove, dishes, a charcoal grill.
Before the start of the trip, in accordance with the weather conditions, you, together with the captain, may adjust the route. Your safety is the most important thing for us. The blue cave is located in a sheer cliff in the part of the coast open to waves and wind. Sometimes visiting the blue cave is life-threatening. The captain is responsible for you during the trip and the last word is always with him. In addition, to be honest, the blue cave is not the best thing to see while trip. There are usually a lot of people in the cave, boats and motor boats come inside, people swim between them, risking falling under the propellers. The best time to visit the cave is before sunset or early in the morning, when the motorboats leave and you can enjoy its beauty.
A 30% deposit is due at the time of booking the yacht. Prepayment can be made by bank transfer, cash or cryptocurrency. The remaining 70% is paid in cash on board the yacht before the start of the charter.
The total amount of expenses includes payment for fuel, utensils and services of the captain. On board the yacht there is also everything you need for a picnic (barbecue grills, skewers and barbecues), as well as musical accompaniment.
When you board the ship, express your wishes to the captain and discuss the route with him. Usually they go for a trip first. After it (about an hour and a half after leaving the port) there will be a stop, and you can swim, fry a barbecue, relax or land on the shore to see the local attractions, which are endless in Montenegro. Then the trip continues, taking into account the wishes of the passengers.
Going on a trip on a yacht, you can leave your car in the municipal parking lot. It is quite roomy, but you need to take into account the possible workload.
Can. We provide boats for rent both for day trips, and for a week from Monday to Monday, and for 10 days. But if there is less than 4 days left until the date you would like to start your trip, there is a risk that we will not be able to offer you a yacht. The fact is that it takes a lot of time to carefully prepare the vessel, issue the necessary documents for all crew members and solve other problems.
When it is important to rent a yacht from a certain date or a specific vessel for a particular month, you should take care of the order in advance, and the sooner the better. There are so many people who want to go sailing during the season that the number of available dates quickly decreases, and you may miss your chance. In addition, there is another reason to arrange a rental long before the trip. We offer such clients special preferential conditions.
There is. If desired, a wireless access point is installed on any vessel with the ability to connect up to 10 devices to the Internet at the same time. What will be the speed of access depends on the location of the yacht. In some coastal areas, you will have access not only to 3G connection, but also to LTE, a high-speed connection. Of course, regardless of the speed, the payment for Internet connection will be fixed. At current rates, this is 5 euros per day.

MOREMAN Restaurant at Avrora Yacht Club
Ratings and reviews, location and contact.
There is varied menu: raw bar with good sea-urchins, hot and cold starters, main dishes and desserts. Good cocktails and wine card. There is a big terrace. This club is located near the water (it’s obvious:) ), but the view is a partly industrial -... there is construction on the opposite bank and this ruins the view. This restaurant is spacious and it suits for different events. More

Lake county news-sun | additional charges filed against chain o’ lakes boat rental company owner.
Additional charges have been lodged against the owner of a Chain O’ Lakes boat rental company who was arrested last year after she threw a customer’s phone into the water during a dispute, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Kristen Wooden of the Antioch area was arrested Friday after police obtained a warrant charging her with forgery and several counts of theft, police said.
Police said the new charges against her stemmed from investigations that began following her arrest in July 2023 at her business, The Boatyard in Antioch. Wooden was arrested after she allegedly took a cellphone from a rental customer who was using it to record Wooden and threw it into the water, authorities said.
The new charges allege that Wooden forged the name of an inspector on a 2023 state application for her boat rental license. Police also allege that Wooden illegally charged customers extra for rentals, tacking on charges for alleged damage and, in one case, charging customers because they had parked extra cars at her business.
The Fox Waterway Agency suspended Wooden’s commercial watercraft privileges at the end of last summer for violations and non-compliance with agency rules, police said.
