Biograd Boat Show

Central and Eastern Europe’s largest in-water boat show celebrates its 21th year following 20 years of continuous record breaking shows. In 2018, the show had well over 310 contracted exhibitors and more than 320 boats on display, covering more than 33.000 m2.

The show is held in the resort town of Biograd, at Marina Kornati and includes Ilirija hotels, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. The special atmosphere and many industry and social events attracts many exhibitors and visitors from all neighboring countries, making it a truly international event for those interested in boating on the Adriatic.

Biograd B2B is a Nautical Business Networking Event held during the Biograd Boat Show, connecting professionals from the boating and nautical tourism industries. It offers business visitors the opportunity to register in a Business to Business Directory, and to search and schedule meetings with other participants. The event was created in 2017 as a way to offer companies official participation in the boat show without the need for exhibition space, today counts more than 400 business profiles.

An extensive Congress Program offers participants the opportunity to attend meetings and presentation during the event, as well as providing a venue for industry groups to meet and advance their interests, Biograd B2B participants also have access to a number of social events as well as the Biograd Boat Show for all 4 days. The Biograd Boat Show is a Gold Member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organizers,

Biograd with its two marinas represents an important nautical center, and the Biograd Boat Show has become a nautical fair of European reputation and importance.  A buoying, half submerged bridge connects the Kornati Central marina with the Kornati Western marina, providing a simple and attractive representational experience. The 24th Biograd Boat Show, a nautical fair recognized as the greatest Croatian boat show, will be held on 26th – 30th October 2022.

We are pleased to announce the 24th Biograd Boat Show 2022 , the biggest nautical fair in the region which will mark this year the eighteenth anniversary of gathering all segments of nautical industry in Croatia and the region. Biograd Boat Show is traditionally held in Marina Kornati in Biograd, one of the three largest marinas on the Adriatic coast, where over 50 regattas and events take place throughout the year, on which occasion marina Kornati is visited by an enviable number of 50,000 boaters, which makes it a unique event on the Adriatic. From it's beginnings Biograd Fair has been recording a constant annual growth, with over 300 exhibitors and more than 300 ships displayed in the year 2018. Boat Show experience Ilirija d.d., as the organizer of fair, has created the full experience of fair, fitting its marina, hotels, restaurants and entertainment programs into the setting of a coastal city with charm. Biograd Boat Show celebrated its 25th anniversary

The jubilee five-day festival of global and European nautical activities brought together the boat and equipment exhibition, congress, charter, and B2B, and established itself as the congress of the Croatian nautical industry and tourism

The largest nautical fair in Central Europe, the Biograd Boat Show, closed on Sunday, October 29th, in Marina Kornati after a five-day spectacle at sea and a series of successful business gatherings. The jubilee edition of the fair gathered a record number of over 400 exhibitors and more than 400 boats up to 24 meters in length, presenting over 40 premier vessels, confirming this year’s fair as the most significant nautical event in Croatia and this part of Europe.

The five-day festival of global and European nautical activities this year was marked by the theme ‘4 fairs in one,’ including an exhibitory, congress, charter, and business fair. As is the case every year, changes were made to the fair’s layout, with more than 50 new boats added to the sea and over 30 on land. Additionally, a fifth hall, Hall E, was added in the northern marina, along with floating exhibition booths on the pontoon bridge connecting Marina Kornati North to Marina Kornati West.

With eco-friendly and innovative products, internationally acclaimed technology was presented, transforming non-recyclable plastic into construction materials for innovative products like IZOXECO floating pontoons. The IZOXECO technology has won 12 international innovation awards, including the prestigious iENA innovation fair in Nuremberg, where they received the Leonardo da Vinci Award for Innovation.

At the 7th Croatian Nautical Days, businessmen from the nautical sector traditionally gathered to analyze and discuss key topics affecting maritime and nautical tourism towards the end of the nautical season. Discussions revolved around competitiveness and sustainability in the nautical industry, with a presentation of the upcoming Tourism Law changes, focusing particularly on the part related to the nautical sector.

The business segment of the fair was organized through an online “B2B” networking platform for companies in the nautical sector, which has been a distinctive feature of BBS for several years. More than 1,000 confirmed meetings arranged through the B2B platform highlight the growing importance of business partner networking. In addition to domestic representatives, the B2B program included participants from nearly 30 countries.

This year’s 5th Croatia Charter Expo has surpassed all previous editions in terms of success. With over 150 registered charter yacht companies, agents, and businesses offering services closely related to chartering, along with more than 500 accredited participants, this exclusive two-day business event has transformed into the largest global gathering of charter enthusiasts within the framework of the nautical fair.

Premieres of Biograd Boat Show 2023

The exhibition part of the fair delighted with a record number of premieres. Over 400 exhibitors from both the domestic and international scenes were showcased at the exhibition section of the fair. Boat enthusiasts had the opportunity to enjoy more than 40 boat premieres presented by 30 companies.

Aquitalia 78

The company PAVIC recently became the representative of luxury boats Aquitalia, whose modern design of the Aquitalia 78 model was awarded at this year’s Yacht Trophy in the Revelation of the Year Trophy category.

Namely, this 24-meter long and 6.2-meter wide motor yacht was designed according to the vision of Mr. Pero Pavić, an experienced boat owner. It combines stunning exterior design with the latest technology in operational systems, while the state-of-the-art construction process has saved significant weight and maximized interior space.

Prestige X60

The Prestige X60 represents the pinnacle of luxury and elegance in the world of motor yachts. This yacht combines outstanding technical durability with impeccable design, providing you with a unique experience at sea. Inside the X60, you will find spacious and luxuriously decorated cabins, while the exterior allows relaxation and socializing outdoors. Outer Reef 620 Trident

The Outer Reef 620 Trident model was designed by Ward Setzer with excellent cruising qualities from 8 to 24 knots and long-range capabilities. In addition, the yacht’s hardtop is designed to be lowered hydraulically to allow space for the bridges while cruising. Other Trident models include the 720, 980, and 106 models.

Regina 470 is the second creation of the Italian shipyard FIM (Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi), which paid the greatest attention to details and materials of the highest quality, combined with the meticulous research of the designer, which makes this boat a real jewel of Made in Italy.

Galeon 440 Fly

At the prestigious 25th Biograd Boat Show, Yacht Center Baotić presented the Galeon 440 Fly for the first time in Croatia. This boat combines impeccable craftsmanship, premium materials, and revolutionary design to provide an incredible sailing experience.

Oceanis 40.1

The Oceanis 40.1 from the French shipyard Bénéteau has become the first sailing yacht with an electric motor, and it is equipped with batten mainsail and furled genoa, bow propeller, generator, heating, electric toilets, and solar panel.

Central Europe’s In-water Show Celebrates 25 Years

This year the Biograd Boat show will celebrate its 25th anniversary following a history of spectacular growth and loyal followers, to become Central Europe’s in-water boat show. This truly international event attracts many international visitors and exhibitors and is the biggest meeting point for Croatia’s nautical industry. It marks the end of the boating season and the start of a new business year.

25 Year Journey

From its humble beginnings as a springtime open house for Marina Kornati, the Biograd Boat Show reinvented itself in 2004, by moving to October to better serve the demands of exhibitors. From that point, the show never looked back; hosting record breaking shows each year, gaining loyalty through the global financial crisis, and powering through the pandemic.  Last year’s show broke all records, and this year the expectations are very high, as many new exhibitors are looking to join in, and existing exhibitors looking to expand.

The Boat Show Experience

The show has gained its international popularity due to Croatia’s importance as a boating destination and Ilirija’s well managed facilities including Marina Kornati, Ilirija hotels, restaurants, and entertainment facilities.  The secret to the show’s success is the festive environment and special atmosphere resulting from a large boat show held in a spectacular natural setting while partnered with an intimate resort town. This is the Biograd Boat Show experience!  When the sun sets, the exhibiting stops and the party begins, with a legendary entertainment program that spills into the town center.

Central Europe’s Gateway to the Sea

Each year, Biograd plays an important role for domestic and international boaters.  Many people were introduced to Biograd as one of the busiest marine transit destinations in Croatia and one of the world’s largest yacht charter destinations.  Others are introduced through its world class calendar of regattas and events, regardless, the international recognition and reputation of Biograd improves each year.

Biograd B2B

As the largest gathering point for the Croatian nautical industry, Ilirija developed Biograd B2B, a business to business platform and business networking event during the boat show allowing business visitors to register, participate and schedule meetings with exhibitors and other B2B participants.  As part of Biograd B2B, there is an extensive congress program which includes the 7th annual Croatian Nautical Days sponsored by the Croatian Chamber of Economy to be held from 25.-27. 10. 2023., featuring numerous industry association meetings, business presentations and networking social events.

Croatia Charter Expo

Also as part of Biograd B2B, the Fifth Croatia Charter Expo will be held from 25.-26. 10. 2022.  This B2B event for the yacht charter industry allows charter fleet providers to meet with agents, brokers and suppliers, and is supported by an active congress program. All participants are registered on the Biograd B2B platform, and can take part in the boat show during its entire duration.  This is a very important event which serves the Croatian bareboat charter industry, which is by far the largest in the world. Generous support for the Croatia Charter Expo has been provided by the City of Biograd, Croatian Tourist Board, and the Chamber of Economy.

With 2 Weeks to go, the Sold out Biograd Boat Show Faces a Hot Boating Market.

This year’s Biograd Boat Show has sold out its exhibition space and will be held during a very strong boating market, where demand for boats throughout Europe is very high and the supply is tightening.  With delivery dates for new boats getting longer and longer, this is the best opportunity to see the largest selection of boats in the region and to secure the best delivery terms and prices.

There will be numerous World and Croatian premieres of vessels, and plenty of equipment and accessories that can be purchased directly, as well as many demonstrations of new products.  The show is also known for its gastro and entertainment offerings with good food served in the restaurants, selected artisan food vendors at the Festival Izvornosti, as well as an entertainment program each night after sunset.

Although all exhibition space is sold out, nautical businesses can still participate by registering on the Biograd B2B business to business platform, and have full access to the show and an online Biograd B2B Directory, where they can present their products and services to other participants and schedule meetings in advance.

Central Europe’s In-water Show Sails Ahead

New Brands and Models

Some of the new vessel brands that will be introduced to the Croatian market include the luxury sailboat shipyard Solaris , as well as the motorboat brands De Antonio from Spain, as well as 3B Craft sport fishing boats from Italy. The Finnish brand Saxdor will also debut their 4 seat Saxdor 200 Sport model.  Rib brands that will have their Croatian debut include: Italian brands Panamera and AB Inflatables , as well as the Canadian Brand Gala . 

Traditional exhibitors will show many Croatian vessel premieres.  Highlights include: the new Absolute Navetta 48 in the Luxury motor yacht segment, while the Hallberg-Rassey 50 will make its debut in the luxury sailboat segment.  In the Catamaran Segment, the Bali 4.2 and Bali 4.6 sailing catamarans will debut alongside the Bali 4.3 motor catamaran, as well as the Fountaine Pajot Isla 40.

Electric powered vessels will be more prevalent at the show, including the world premiere of

the Solar Ferry by Agena Marin, a compact solar powered electric catamaran ideal for tours and transfers.

An Important Show for the Boating Industry

The importance of the show was proven in 2020, as the show was a rare opportunity in Europe for companies and boaters that gravitate to the Adriatic to directly communicate and deal with the global changes that had taken place.  This year, the expectations are very high, with a record number of early exhibitor registrations and many exhibitors expanding their exhibits to satisfy the increase in boater interest.  

The Boat Show Experience

The show has gained international popularity among both exhibitors and visitors due to  Croatia’s importance as a boating destination, and Ilirija’s well managed facilities including Marina Kornati, Ilirija hotels, restaurants, and entertainment facilities.  Ilirija has proven itself as a safe and professional event organizer during the pandemic, with no reported COVID cases in 2020, and will continue on this path, following and exceeding national health guidelines. The legendary calendar of social events that has made the BBS unique is being planned, and will be adjusted to suit the situation at the time of the show.  

Central Europe’s Gateway to the Sea

Each year, Biograd plays an important role for domestic and international boaters.  Many people were introduced to the BBS while visiting Biograd throughout the year, as it is one of the world’s largest yacht charter destinations, or through its world class calendar of regattas and events, or as one of the busiest marine transit destinations in Croatia. Regardless, the international recognition and reputation improves each year.

Biograd B2B

As the largest gathering point for the Croatian nautical industry, a business to business platform was developed, and Biograd B2B was created.  Biograd B2B is a nautical business networking event during the boat show allowing business visitors to register, participate and schedule meetings with exhibitors and other B2B participants, and participate in an extensive nautical Congress Program.  

5th annual Croatian Nautical Days

As part of Biograd B2B, the Croatian Chamber of Economy will hold its 5 th annual Croatian Nautical Days from 20.-22. 10. 2021, featuring numerous industry association meetings, business presentations and networking social events.

Croatia Charter Expo

Also as part of Biograd B2B, the third Croatia Charter Expo will be held from 21.-22. 10. 2021.  This 2-day, B2B event for the yacht charter industry will allow charter fleet providers to meet with agents, brokers and suppliers, supported by an active charter congress program.  All participants will be registered on the Biograd B2B platform, and will be able to take part in the boat show during its entire duration. 

International congress of the Boat Charter Agency Association

This year the Croatia Charter Expo will be joined by an international congress of the Boat Charter Agency Association, which boasts over 200 international members.  Generous support for the Croatia Charter Expo has been provided by the City of Biograd, Croatian Tourist Board, and the Chamber of Economy.

A Brighter Future for Boating

The Biograd Boat Show made its biggest gains in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, growing from a minor regional show to an international show that brought the Adriatic boating region to the world stage, when all other shows faced serious declines.  This was done by optimizing Ilirija’s nautical and hospitality assets, and creating attractively priced options for exhibitors and visitors, resulting in long-term success. In 2020 similar measures were used to address the challenging environment, focusing on Ilirija’s strength in providing safe holiday and event experiences in hospitality, food and beverages, and event planning.  For the 2021 show, the company plans to build in its successes to again play an important role in setting a course for a brighter future for boating.

Biograd Boat Show, the boats on debut

The Biograd Boat Show (25/10 to 29/10/2023) is the largest boat show not only in Croatia but also in Central Europe. The show gathers more than 300 registered exhibitors and 300 boats, and presents more than 1,500 charter boats.

The organisers released a list of the boats that are going to debut at the upcoming event.

Aquitalia 78

The AQUITALIA 78 model had its world premiere at the recently held Cannes Yachting Festival, while it will have its Croatian premiere at the 25th Biograd Boat Show. The modern design of this model was awarded at this year’s Yacht Trophy in the Revelation of the Year Trophy category. This 24 meter long and 6.2 meter wide motor combines a stunning exterior design with the latest technology in operating systems, while the most modern construction process saved a lot of weight and maximized interior space.

Explore the highly anticipated new addition to the Evo Yachts lineup, the Evo R+. With its innovative design and exceptional performance, this yacht promises to redefine the concept of luxury and versatility at sea.

OUTER REEF 620 TRIDENT

The Outer Reef 620 Trident is a Ward Setzer design with excellent cruising qualities from 8 to 24 knots and long-range capabilities. In addition, the yacht’s hard top is designed to be hydraulically lower to allow for bridge clearances while cruising. Other Trident models include the 720, 980, and 106 models.

Event Description

Biograd Boat Show once again broke all records for attendance, number of exhibitors and vessels as well as vessel premieres. More than 400 exhibitors, 400 vessels, of which 260 were in water, and a total attendance figure of 23,026. Despite dire weather warnings and Friday morning showers, the show finished with a beautiful sunny weekend and an electric atmosphere. The 25th anniversary entertainment program was unparalleled, entertaining thousands with 7 live music events and various DJ parties. The new luxury yacht area catering to vessels up to 24 m on the pontoon bridge joining the two halves of the show was also a success, with all exhibitors vowing to return and requesting more space. The Biograd B2B congress program and Croatia Charter Expo continue to gain traction and are more relevant than ever.

More and more, the show attracts visitors and exhibitors from neighboring countries and afar, including many owners of boats in Croatia, as well as many of the thousands that participate in nautical events held in Biograd throughout the year. Big attractions include over 300 registered exhibitors and 300 boats on display, as well as over 1500 charter yachts represented at the show, and approximately 100 used boats, displayed according to strict standards. BIOGRAD BOAT SHOW 2023

Last October, the 25th edition of the Biograd Boat Show was held in the beautiful Croatia. The 10 Most-Exciting Yacht Debuts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show

For superyacht shoppers, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, kicking off its four-day run this week, is set to break records with more than 60 yachts over 100 feet long on display. Last year was also a banner year for superyachts at the show. 

Headliners will include the likes of the 295-foot Corsair Nero ,  the 278-foot Victorious by AKYacht, the 230-foot Turquoise-built Talisman C , and 213-foot Benetti Triumph among brokerage yachts, and in new yachts, the 113-foot Ocean Alexander Puro 35 is making its world debut.  

There are so many gleaming white vessels over 100 feet, in fact, that the fleet will be split between the Palm Harbor Marina at the main show site on the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront and the Safe Harbor Rybovich Marina two miles north. 

Now in its 42nd year, PBIBS will also showcase hundreds of models of dayboats, cruisers, and fishing boats, as well as marine accessories. Running from this Thursday through Sunday, the show coincides with the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show, a fortuitous opportunity for yacht owners wanting to add new art to their collections.

Here are 10 must-see boats at this year’s show.

Corsair Yachts ‘Nero’

The undisputed star of this year’s Palm Beach show? That would be the 295-foot, classically styled superyacht Nero , built in 2007 and inspired by American financier J.P. Morgan’s legendary 1930s steamer Corsair IV . Nero ‘s attendance at PBIBS marks its return to the charter market after an extensive refit in 2021. Now better than new, the boat is being managed by Burgess. With weekly charter rates from $497,000, the vessel offers five-star accommodations for 12 guests in six cabins, with pampering from a crew of 20. Part of the refit included a full interior refresh by Italian interior designer Laura Pomponi, plus a major focus on wellness. That meant the construction of a new, state-of-the-art gym and spa, the assistance of a certified onboard trainer, a masseuse and beautician. After PBIBS, Nero will spend the winter in the Caribbean before returning to the Med for the summer season.

Ocean Alexander Puro 35P

Ocean Alexander is debuting the first of its new Puro superyacht series at PBIBS. The 113-foot Puro 35P comes from the drawing board of Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and is a step back from the polarizing lines of OA’s recent Revolution and Explorer series with their bold, vertical bow designs. Aimed at long-distance cruising, the 35P can carry over 5,000 gallons of fuel and is powered by twin 2,000 hp MAN V12s for a 24-knot top speed. Twin 55kW Kohler generators can also keep the yacht powered at anchor for long periods. Other standout features include extensive glazing in the chiseled fiberglass hull, a forward deck plunge pool, and spacious accommodations for 10 guests. 

Think of it as the “starter” Sirena. Aimed at a younger demographic, the Turkish builder’s brand-new Sirena 48 is making its U.S. debut at PBIBS after a global reveal at last fall’s Cannes boat show. Such is its appeal that 27 hulls have already been sold, with 13 of the orders coming from North America. Looking like a scaled-down version of Sirena’s popular 58, its distinctive, trawler-style lines are from Argentinian designer Germán Frers. With more interior space than a typical 48-footer, the yacht offers three staterooms—plus a crew cabin—a spacious, light-filled salon, a large cockpit, an oversized flybridge, and a vast forward social area. Take your pick from twin 550 hp Cummins QSB, or 670 hp Volvo D11 turbo diesels. Or the builder is also offering hybrid power with twin 285 hp electric motors charged up by variable-speed generators that are good for a 30-mile battery-only range.

Feadship ‘Olympus’

Picture purchasing a classic 180-foot Feadship superyacht, and then getting a $10 million bill for a major refit. That was the case with Olympus , built by the Dutch masters at Feadship in 1996 to a design by Britain’s Andrew Winch and the celebrated naval architect Frits De Voogt. Sold in 2022, the new owner sent it to the Monaco Marine refit center in La Ciotat, France for a major makeover. It included overhauling the 2,600 hp Caterpillar engines and generators, repairs to the structure, substantial upgrades to the guest areas and crew quarters, and new paint throughout. With the work completed just last year, the vessel is said to be in mint condition. Offered jointly by brokers Fraser and Edmiston, Olympus has an asking price of $28.5 million. With accommodations for 16 guests in eight cabins, the boat’s highlights include two primary suites, tropical-spec air conditioning, and Palm Beach-chic decor.

Benetti ‘Triumph’

Italian yachting powerhouse Benetti is showing off its superyacht-building skills with the 213-foot Triumph . Delivered in 2021, this Giorgio M. Cassetta-designed steel-and-aluminum world girder features six decks, a 1,400-square-foot primary suite with outdoor terrace and adjoining lounge, a 750-square-foot beach club, and a touch-and-go helipad. What sets Triumph apart, however, is its lavish interior furnishings put together by the owner along with Benetti Interior Style and Monaco-based Green & Mingarelli Design. It includes pieces by French glassmaker Lalique, marble from Marfil, Statuario and Armani, furs, silk and wool carpets, plus a collection of cool black-and-white wildlife photographs by British fine art photographer David Yarrow. The pièce de résistance? That would be the owner’s Triumph Bonneville motorcycle displayed in the salon.

Fjord 39 XP/XL

Germany’s Fjord Yachts, part of the Hanse Group, has a new 39-foot day boat that it’s unveiling at the Palm Beach show. The 39 XP and XL keep all the bold design cues of the bigger Fjord 41 XP and XL, like a big, open cockpit, walkaround center console, vertical bow, mile-high windshield and stretched hardtop. As for the differences between the XP and XL, it’s all about power. The XL comes with a choice of twin 320hp Volvo D4 diesels, or bigger 440 hp D6 versions, both with Volvo stern drives. Likely more appealing to U.S. buyers will be the XP powered by twin 400 hp Mercury Verado V10 outboards giving a 50-knot top speed. Pricing starts at around $500,000.

Turquoise ‘Talisman C’

Chandeliers don’t come more dramatic than this. Cascading down the central spiral staircase of the Turkish-built, 231-foot superyacht Talisman C , this jaw-dropping piece of art comprises an array of multi-colored glass balls threaded on stainless-steel rods and illuminated by hanging fiber-optic strands. It’s the creation of Prague-based Crystal Caviar and is one of a number of glass installations on this sleek, low-profile superyacht. Built in 2011 by the Proteksan Turquoise shipyard, Talisman C was designed inside and out by London-based studio H2 Yacht Design, with naval architecture by Italy’s Hydro Tec. With cabins for 12 guests, one of its highlights is a huge primary suite, which boasts more crystal chandeliers and a private library. Twin 2,447 hp Caterpillar diesels give a top speed of 18 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. It’s listed with Burgess for $59.9 million. 

Sanlorenzo 44 ‘Kamakasa’

Delivered in 2020 and sold to a new buyer just last August, the 146-foot Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy Kamakasa will be for sale at PBIBS. The asking price, through the Italian Yacht Group, is $23.75 million. Lack of use might also be the issue here; the yacht’s twin 2,600 hp MTU V16 diesels have a mere 289 hours on the clock. Built in aluminum to a design by Rome-based Zuccon International Project, Kamakasa was the second hull in the Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy series. One of the top features is a primary suite that spans three levels and almost 1,600 square feet; it also comes with a private Jacuzzi, separate bathrooms, a walk-in closet, and a private study. The yacht’s lightweight construction and MTU power combine to deliver an impressive 20-knot top speed.

Bahama 41 GT2

As ultimate, reel-’em-in, fishing center consoles go, the Bahama 41 from West Palm Beach-based Bahama Boat Works is as hard-core as they come. But when owners kept asking for a little more comfort for the family, the builder responded. The result is the brand-new flagship 41 GT debuting at PBIBS. While the proven, wave-slicing hull stays the same, the cockpit layout is new. In place of the single bench seat, there are now three-across bucket seats with a second row behind. The wider console now has space for a pair of 22-inch Garmin screens, while the new extended hardtop features sun shades and even a rain shower. Outboard choices stay the same with either twin Mercury V12 600s, or four 400 hp Mercury V10s, good for a 65-knot-plus top speed. Pricing is from around $920,000.

Heesen ‘Book Ends’

Launched in 2022, this 164-foot Heesen is part of the Book Ends collection, owned by an American couple who have had more than 18 yachts with the same name. The exterior design of this Heesen was by Omega Architects, while Dutch studio Van Oossanen did the naval architecture. The yacht is part of Heesen’s fast cruising series, which is more efficient than other vessels its size, and can reach 23 knots at full speed with its MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines. The yacht is listed through Ocean Independence for 42 million Euro, or about $45.7 million.

BIOGRAD NA MORU - In Marina Kornati, organized and hosted by Ilirija d.d., the jubilee 25th Biograd Boat Show opened, the largest nautical fair in Central Europe and the largest nautical fair in Croatia, and at the same time a proud gold member of the IFBSO, which brings together 36 prominent world nautical fairs.

The company Ilirija d.d., organizer and host of the fair, has a rich 66-year history and a deep-rooted passion for nautical that has lasted for over 46 years. Ilirija d.d. is a pioneer in the development of nautical tourism in Croatia, which 46 years ago built the first targeted and dedicated port for nautical tourism in Croatia, and with that created the first own charter fleet of 40 Elan boats. This also elevated Biograd to the cradle of nautical tourism in the country, and even today, thanks to the dedication and development of Ilirija, it is the third most visited nautical port on the Croatian Adriatic.

The Biograd Boat Show, which has been organized by Ilirija d.d. for over two and a half decades, carries more than the title of nautical fair. It is a meeting place for eminent manufacturers and traders, boating enthusiasts and professional organizations, with an exhibition of vessels at sea and exhibitors' stands on the piers in the area of the third largest marina in Croatia.

At the 25th Biograd Boat Show, all records were broken with the participation of over 400 exhibitors, the display of around 400 vessels up to 24 meters in length and the presentation of more than 40 premiere vessels.

Biograd Boat Show in the presence of the president of the board of Ilirija d.d. Goran Raznjević, organizer and host of the fair, was officially opened by Mr. Josip Bilaver, State Secretary of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, with welcoming speeches by Mr. Tonči Glavina, State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and Mr. Dragan Kovačević, Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy for Tourism and Agriculture, Mr. Božidar Longin, prefect of Zadar County and Mr. Milan Šangulin, director of the Biograd Boat Show. The opening ceremony was attended on behalf of the City of Biograd na Moru by Mrs. Ivana Stamičar, President of the City Council of Biograd na Moru, on behalf of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Mr. Saša Popovac, Head of the Market Research and Analytics Department, and Mr. Richard Rodgers, Ambassador of Australia to the Republic of Croatia.

This year, the Biograd Boat Show is also under the banner of “4-in-1 fair” – it has exhibition, congress, charter and B2B components: the Biograd Boat Show – exhibition fair, the 7th annual Croatian Nautical Days – congress fair, the 5th annual Croatian Charter Expo – charter fair, and the Biograd B2B business fair.

At the exhibition part of the fair, over 400 exhibitors from the country and the world are presenting themselves. Boat lovers can enjoy more than 40 premieres of vessels exhibited by 30 companies. Among the most notable premieres is the Aquitalia 78, a 24-meter yacht that recently made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival and won the World Yacht Trophy in the “Revelation of the Year” category. The Italian Frattin Group will present its 18-meter yacht EVO R+, and the peak of luxury and elegance to the visitors of the 25th Biograd Boat Show will be confirmed by the Prestige X60 motor yacht presented by Euromarine. The offer of luxury catamarans is rounded off by the Aura 51, presented to the Croatian public for the first time by Ultra Sailing, and the Lagoon 51, directed by Nautika Centar Nava. Also worth mentioning is the premiere of the Pelagos 33 vessel, which arrived from the Croatian shipyard, with which the Croatian company Boat Lab realized its aspiration to offer the market a product that does not exist in 10 meters through complete sovereignty at sea.

Ecological and innovative products will be presented at the Biograd nautical fair by Josip and Monika Šincek, who developed an internationally awarded technology that turns non-recyclable plastic into construction materials for innovative products such as their floating pontoons. IZOXECO technology has won 12 international innovation awards including the largest innovation fair iENA in Nuremberg where they won the Leonardo de Vinci Innovation Award, which is awarded every 12 years, and is the first in the environmental protection category!

In the congress part of the fair, the Croatian Chamber of Economy organizes the 7th HGK Croatian Nautical Days, through the congress program from October 25 to 27, and already on the first day a panel discussion was organized with the topic: CCE The perspective of nautical tourism in Croatia Legislation, promotion, quality and sustainability, with distinguished participants. In the continuation of the 7th HGK Croatian Nautical Day, sessions will be held for all nautical associations of the HGK, i.e. all representatives of the real sector of the nautical industry and tourism: associations of marinas, small shipbuilding and service providers on charter vessels.

In parallel with the nautical fair, the Biograd B2B nautical business platform enables business visitors to register in the Biograd B2B business directory and schedule meetings with companies of interest in advance and attend networking events.

It is known that Croatia has by far the largest charter fleet in the world with more than 4,500 yachts, and the central gathering place of the charter industry is the Croatia Charter Expo, a B2B event that takes place from October 25 to 26 during the Biograd Boat Show. For boaters interested in well-maintained pre-owned sailboats, information will be available on hundreds of older model sailboats that are lease-free. It is also the best time for a good job.

As every year, changes were made in the layout of the fair, and more than 50 new vessels were added at sea and more than 30 on land, which increased the total number to about 400 vessels up to 24 meters. The 5th hall E in the northern marina has been added, as well as floating exhibition stands on the pontoon bridge connecting the Kornati marina north with the Kornati marina west.

The legendary entertainment program has also been improved. There will be seven live performances and numerous evening events on site. On Friday evening, Giuliano & Diktatori will perform in Hall B, followed by the "Saxy" afterparty, while Saturday's program begins in front of Hall B with spectacular Orion fireworks, followed by a concert by TBF (The Beat Fleet) and a special afterparty.

The knowledge, experience and entire infrastructure of Ilirija d.d., the organizer and host of the fair, with the support of national and county structures and the City of Biograd na Moru, as well as partnership cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian National Tourist Board, enabled the Biograd Boat Show to grow into an exceptional event of importance for the nautical industry and nautical tourism, as the most competitive and highest quality type of Croatian tourist offer.

Spectacular multi-million dollar yachts — check! Balmy, waterfront location — check! Family-friendly exhibitions and fun — check!

Then it must be the 42nd annual Palm Beach International Boat Show, which cruised into West Palm Beach this week. The city’s waterfront Downtown was transformed into a yachters’ haven, filled with ultra-luxurious yachts and cruisers and a seemingly endless range of yachting-inspired activities.

This year some 800 boats and yachts participated in the show, which is expected to lure over 55,000 total visitors along with 600 brands. In total, the four-day show is anticipated to pump over $1 billion into the economy of the Palm Beach area, which has seen both its population and popularity surge since the pandemic.

“Beyond its economic significance and standing in the industry, the Palm Beach International Boat Show holds a special place in the hearts of local residents, revered as one of the region’s must-attend events,” said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC).

The show supports a series of satellite events such as the Winward VIP Club, with an open bar, gourmet dining and special pop-up activations. The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach at Palm Harbor was where the show’s most glamorous — and truly gargantuan — superyachts are on display. At the AquaZone, which is presented by Nautical Ventures, guests can enjoy a “show within a show” via an interactive experience featuring a wide range of water sports and cutting-edge, marine-related products.

As always, the Show delivers an exceptional array of culinary experiences, including world-class cocktails provided by sponsors such as Goslings Rum. The Show also includes a series of education seminars that appeal to visitors of all ages, including the Hook the Future’s Kids Fishing Clinics with Captain Don Dingman, who demonstrates various fishing techniques while showcasing a wide variety of fish species. Participants get a free Hook the Future x Carolina Skiff rod and reel combo.

But it’s really all about the boats. Here are five of the most unique, intriguing and eye-popping vessels on display.

The lucky charm

Few yachts at this year’s show are as jaw-dropping as Talisman C. Designed by London-based interiors aces H2 and manufactured by Turkish master yacht-builders Proteksan Turquoise, it’s currently listed for sale by British yachting firm Burgess for a cool $59.7 55 million. Spanning just over 231 feet long, it features six full-sized cabins that can sleep up to 14 guests, including a sprawling owner’s suite with its king-size bed and crystal chandelier, massive walk-in closet and grand library (which can easily be converted into an additional cabin).

Upstairs, the yacht’s sundeck features a large glass-encased Jacuzzi, sun beds and dining area under the sun or stars. A chic swim platform allows for easy access to the azure seas while the nearby aft deck area includes a fully equipped bar with club seating as well as a full-size dining area capped by a glass-threaded chandelier.

The vessel is powered by a pair of 2,447hp Caterpillar diesel engines, which provide a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles.

The emperor

Reaching just under 300 feet in length, the Nero is, without doubt, one of the most eye-catching vessels at the entire Palm Beach show. Although completely contemporarily designed and manufactured, the Nero embodies the look and aesthetic of classic boats from yachting’s golden age during the 1930s. Fully overhauled in 2021, the Nero — which is currently on the market for just under $500,000 per week via Burgess — was designed in the spirit of Corsair, a yacht launched in the 1930s that belonged to legendary Wall Street financier J.P. Morgan.

Inside, it could not be more luxurious. On the top deck is a world-class gym fitted out with equipment by Technogym, while a few steps beyond is a beauty salon, which comes with an in-house beautician and masseuse.

There are six cabins with room for 12 guests — along with an on-board Jacuzzi, pool and waterslide. Throughout, veteran yacht designer Laura Pomponi has updated and upgraded the Nero’s look, introducing a range of new handmade carpets, along with hardwood floors, new sofas and elegant art-works. Pomponi has also lent her hand to Nero’s distinctive 30-foot Corsair custom-built tender that has been refitted so guests can arrive in impeccable style.

The secret agent

As its name suggests, the 236-foot Casino Royale brings a large dose of Bond-like elegance and intrigue to West Palm Beach. Constructed by Italian master shipbuilder Tankoa in 2018 and given a top-to-bottom retrofit in 2022, Casino Royale includes six cabins for 12 passengers and has been awarded a slew of industry accolades for its innovative and forward-thinking technology and aesthetic. Nearly two dozen crewmembers tend to those lucky voyagers, which luxuriate in an on-board circular swimming pool and access the ship via a helicopter port.

The yacht’s primary suite is nothing if not grand, featuring 180-degree views from its king-size bed along with its own study and al fresco terrace with private sunbed and Jacuzzi. There are five additional guest suites — all with their own private baths. Just beyond is an open-air living layout complete with a range of bespoke contemporary furnishings across the boat’s nearly half-dozen passenger decks.

Outside the amenities are just as abundant and include an onboard beach club with a lounge, bar, sauna, terrace and hammam/shower. All are ideal locations to rest and recharge after a workout in the yacht’s wellness center. On the main deck, there’s a nearly 20-foot-long infinity pool, while that helipad can easily convert into a dance floor.

The love boat

Completely futuristic and totally cool, the 180-foot-long Come Together is the ultimate example of stealth wealth on the high seas. Completed just two years ago by the Dutch firm Amels and currently on the market for a cool $65 million, Come Together features an unmistakable architecturally styled exterior reminiscent of a city-center skyscraper.

The boat can house up to 14 guests and 13 crew members within its unmissable steel hull and an aluminum-clad super structure — all cruising at a top speed of 15.5 knots.

The boat’s expansive master suite is set within its main deck and features sprawling storage space, a dressing room as well as his and hers bathrooms. There are an additional VIP cabin, two double cabins and two further cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. Up top, there’s a fully equipped gym and Jacuzzi — while a set of Jet Skis, water skis and hover-like Seabob watercraft keep the fun going just off deck. Come Together’s unique underwater lighting system also delivers a strong dose of excitement come nighttime and is the perfect way to enjoy an after-hours swim.

Want more? Then don’t forget about the on-board wakeboards, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment. And, when the moment strikes to head from the boat to land, travel could not be easier thanks to an easy-access 30-foot Limo Tender.

The cordial cruiser

The aptly named Hospitality ticks off the right boxes when it comes to superyacht bells and whistles. This twin-engine beauty can house up to 16 passengers along with 11 crew at a maximum cruising speed of 24 knots. Built back in 2011 by Westport Yachts here in the US, Hospitality — which is currently on the market for just under $30 million — underwent a comprehensive retrofit in 2021.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter)

Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter

Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter)

Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week

Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter

Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter)

Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000

Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.
