New York and its skyline were the inspiration for this yacht’s styling, from the Empire State skyscrapers on the bar stools in the sky lounge bar, lit by uplighters reminiscent of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty, to the firebird figurehead that looks as if it may have flown in from the Chrysler Building. Everything, from the door handles to the cutlery, is hand-made, each a work of art in its own right.

From the ballroom, move aft past the full-height windows, circular lounge and onto the aft deck, where a spiral staircase leads up to the upper deck and the emphasis on good times continues. Past the buffet lounge is a winter garden with guest dining in open air or climate control, as conditions dictate, then continue down the boardwalk-style sidedecks to the jacuzzi lounge.

After a night of revelry, head to the bridge deck. Take the rivetted-aluminium spiral staircase or the elevator, which runs from the tank deck, home to the Radio City-inspired cinema with popcorn maker, to the bridge deck, and you’ll find a gym overlooking the aft helipad (there is a second on the foredeck). Sweat it out in the hammam or have a massage in the beauty salon. After that, the sun deck beckons, with its 7m (23ft) oval pool with skylights filtering natural light into the lobby below. Then soak up the sun or snooze in the shade on the sunpads and sun lounges.

To get ashore, take the elevator to the lower deck lobby where one of two 10m (32.8ft) tenders is waiting to take you wherever you want to go. For using an armada of watertoys however, the place to be is the 4m (13.1ft)-deep swim platform, complete with hydraulic bathing steps.

The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, is similarly bewitching. Accessed from the main deck or via a glass spiral staircase from the owner’s private observation lounge and office on the upper deck. The circular sweep of the windows and their wraparound views is echoed in the black circle in the carpet and the recessed lighting overhead. A spectacular his-and-hers bathrooms in contrasting marbles features a bath and a steam shower and one of the walk-in wardrobes can be concealed should her new owner wish to operate her commercially.

With a range of 6,000nm and Quantum stabilisers, this impeccably maintained 2,667GT yacht, defies limits on what is possible.

CCTV SYSTEMS     

• Mobotix Digital IP camera system consisting of 4 x display locations; Wheelhouse, Radio Room, Crew Mess & Engine Control Room.  There are a total of 25 cameras throughout the vessel strategically placed to cover entries and work spaces.  Many of the cameras are set to record movement, particularly at entry points and the recorded data is saved.  The two mast cameras also have infared sensor to display heat signatures

• The Wartsila NACOS navigational bridge is based upon seven (7) 67cm/27” flat multi-functional & inter-changeable screens. These workstation screens are able to display and control the following: Chart radar, Radars, Electronic chart display information system (ECDIS) and Conning. The three (3) multifunctional workstation screens display 3, 4 and 6 in the matrix below are working as a dedicated redundant integrated navigation system. The four (4) remaining displays 1, 2, 5 and 7 are reserved for the Alarm Monitoring and Control System (AMCS), Dynamic positioning, CCTV. Display 8 (the 4th multifunctional workstation is independent from the other units in the wheelhouse console) with a 56cm/22” flat screen and keyboard and is designated as the planning station.

Entertainment Equipment

• The Audio-Visual system was upgraded in 2016.  The system now comprises of Savant Control System that links all of the system components into one easy to use application.  The application is installed on iPads.  The host server for the system uses an Apple Mac Mini.  
• The system is networked through fibre optic cables from the Cisco core switches in the tank deck AV room to Cisco 48 port switches on each deck level, the back-haul between switches is 20GB. Each of the services to the individual locations is maintained in the tank deck AV room and directed through JAP port switching devices upon request from the iPad controls.  The AV room on the tank deck is kept at a very cold 18°C / 64°F. The individual components that make up the services of the complete system are listed below.
• It is possible to play the same music selection in any guest area whether inside or outside, or conversely have different music playing in different areas. So, adults in the upper salon, Wintergarden and upper deck aft listening to classic rock and the kids on the top deck, bridge deck playing Spotify favourites.

SATELLITE TV SYSTEM

• Each guest area has a dedicated satellite receiver located in the AV room.  In the EU we use a Polsat NC+ Receiver as it gets the maximum coverage and has many English Channels including HBO, Cinemax, BBC news, CNN, and many more.  In the Caribbean we use receivers from Trinidad for maximum satellite footprint

• Kaleidescape System with over 1800 movies and TV series Each guest area with a TV has a dedicated K-player located in the tank deck AV room

RADIO STATIONS     

• There are 10 x “Phoenix 2” Radio Stations that play a choice of genres to provide easy choice of music styles in all areas without the need to be constantly choosing the next song.  Each genre has enough songs that it would take 2 weeks to hear any song twice. The genres are: Blues, Buddha Bar, Classic Rock, Classical, Dance, Jazz, Lounge Music, Pop, Reggae & World Music

AIRPLAY    

• There are 5 x Airplay device services for the guests to select in all areas of the vessel.  This means the guests can connect directly to the system speakers

                             MUSIC SERVER     

• There is a music server onboard with 10 x available streams in all guest areas.  The music library holds over 16,000 songs of various and varied genres.  This is completely separate to the Radio Station selections.  The Streams are outputted to 3 x autonomic devices which also have the ability to stream Spotify and radio stations from all over the world through the internet connection

BLUERAY DVD PLAYERS     

• There are two OPPO Blue-Ray DVD players onboard, one in the upper salon and the other in the cinema.  These are there for those moments that the guests come back to the boat with a new DVD and want to watch it immediately.  Of course, if they would prefer for it to be installed on the Kaleidescape, this can be done within about 25 mins

PLAYSTATION 4     

• There are two PlayStation 4 onboard with VR goggles located in the upper salon and cinema for that all-encompassing video game experience

LIGHTING CONTROL     

• The guest area lighting for each area or cabin can be controlled by the iPad through the Savant App

CINEMA     

• The cinema is situation on tank deck level and has 7 x 2-person luxurious loungers stepped up towards the back of the room. There is a Sony 4K protector located in the cinema shining onto a 240cm/94” screen

OUTDOOR CINEMA     

• An outdoor cinema screen and projector can be setup on the sun deck for evening of fresh air cinema.  The screen is viewable from both sides, so those in the pool can watch at the same time as those on the lounges
• The TVs are mostly Samsung LCD screens throughout the guest area and cabins.  The bathroom TV are Aquavision waterproof displays

• Rotel amplifiers are used throughout the guest areas, along with Kramer digital amplifiers in certain areas

PHOENIX 2, designed by Andrew Winch Designs, is a much bigger and more beautiful yacht that incorporates elegant and sleek lines. She has more than 100 meters of stainless steel handrails that have been uniquely shaped and installed to fit these lines. Her sundeck offers a generous swimming pool with a separate Jacuzzi and an exterior cinema.

The sky lounge opens to an inside/out dining area complete with glass screens creating the ultimate dining experience. 90m Lürssen Phoenix 2 for sale at Monaco Yacht Show under joint central agency

The 90.1-metre Phoenix 2 has become a joint central agency with Burgess and Cecil Wright . The yacht will be on display at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, taking the slot previously allocated to Kismet , which has now been sold .

Built of steel and aluminium by Lürssen and designed throughout by Winch Design , Phoenix 2 was delivered in 2010 and refitted in 2019.

Phoenix 2 accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, is accessed from the main deck or by using a glass spiral staircase from the owner’s private observation lounge and office on the upper deck. The circular sweep of the windows and their wraparound views is echoed in the black circle in the carpet and the recessed lighting overhead. Spectacular his-and-her bathrooms in contrasting marbles feature a bath and a steam shower, and one of the walk-in wardrobes can be concealed should her new owner wish to operate her commercially. There are three guest double VIPs, two double cabins and a twin-berth cabin, as well as quarters for a crew of 28.

The style is grand Art Deco with a ballroom, a gilt-and-black Steinway grand piano, vast dining table, crystal chandelier and an adjoining wine cellar. Features include a cinema, a winter garden with guest dining in open air or climate control, a beach club and a beauty salon with a hammam. New York and its skyline were the inspiration for Phoenix 2’ s styling, from the Empire State skyscrapers on the bar stools in the sky lounge bar, lit by uplighters reminiscent of the torch held by the Statue of Liberty, to the firebird figurehead that looks as if it may have flown in from the Chrysler Building. Everything from the door handles to the cutlery is hand-made, each a work of art in its own right.

The sun deck sports a seven-metre oval pool with skylights filtering natural light into the lobby below. There are two Jacuzzis, one of which is exclusively dedicated to the owner, and two helipads. An elevator takes guests to the lower deck lobby to embark on one of the two 10-metre tenders – one is a limousine and the other a sports boat. A four-metre deep swim platform has large hydraulically operated steps lowering into the water for easy access from the sea.

The Lloyd's Register-classed, 2,667GT yacht for sale has a cruising speed of 14 knots and maximum speed of 18 knots. Under twin 2,670hp MTU engines, the yacht's range is 6,000 nautical miles.

Phoenix 2 is asking €124,950,000 with VAT paid. She will be on display at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show.

A General Description of Motor Yacht PHOENIX

PHOENIX was formerly named project/yacht name 13626. This 61 metre (200 foot) luxury yacht was made by Lurssen Yachts in 2004. Motor Yacht PHOENIX is a notable superyacht. The firm of naval architecture that made her design details for the yacht was Lurssen and Espen Oeino. The vessel had interior design work was by Andrew Winch. Luxury yacht PHOENIX is a good looking yacht that is able to accommodate as many as 12 people on board and has around 14 professional crew.

Construction & Naval Architecture relating to Luxury Yacht PHOENIX

Lurssen was the naval architect firm involved in the technical nautical composition for PHOENIX. Also the company Lurssen and Espen Oeino expertly worked on this project. Interior designer Andrew Winch was selected for the creative internal ambience. Germany is the country that Lurssen Yachts constructed their new build motor yacht in. After the official launch in 2004 in Bremen she was thereafter delivered on to the owner following sea trials. Her hull was built out of steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made predominantly using aluminium. With a width of 12 metres or 39.4 ft PHOENIX has spacious room. She has a fairly deep draught of 3.35m (11ft). She had refit maintenance and changes completed by 2005.

The 16V 4000 M70 engine installed in the motor yacht is built by MTU. Connected to her MTU engine(s) are twin screw propellers. The engine of the ship produces 2300 horse power (or 1692 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The total output for the boat is 4600 HP / 3385 KW. The bow thrusters are / Stern.

In a showcase of German engineering, Lürssen has unveiled their latest masterpiece, the 122-meter superyacht Kismet . Initiated under the codename Project Jag in late 2020, Kismet embodies the convergence of sleek exterior aesthetics and sophisticated interior design, a collaboration between the renowned Nuvolari-Lenard and Reymond Langton Design teams.

Commissioned by a long-standing client of Lürssen, motor yacht Kismet boasts a host of luxurious features tailored to reflect the Owner's distinctive lifestyle. Among the standout amenities is a 7-star spa, which includes a hammam, sauna, and even a cryotherapy chamber. For entertainment, the lower deck houses a Nemo cinema, complete with a 150-inch television and an innovative underwater seating area.

Kismet is a true ‘Made in Germany’ superyacht, from the laying of the keel to her final departure down the Kiel Canal in Germany. Her craftsmanship is further evident in the yacht’s cutting-edge hybrid powertrain, which incorporates a full-electric mode. This advanced technology positions Kismet as one of the world's most powerful and energy-efficient superyachts.

Delivered to her owners in Spring 2024, Kismet has showcased Lürssen's expertise at building very large and complex superyachts when the boundaries of yacht design are pushed to their limits.

LeBron James to the Suns? Why stop there? Why not Chris Paul and Dwight Howard, too?

The talk about LeBron James coming to the Suns is a lot of fun, and it makes sense on a basketball level.

Take contract concerns out of the conversation for just a moment. In the NBA, teams have a limit on how much they can spend for players, but those rules are easily bent for teams controlled by a guy like Mat Ishbia, whose pockets are so deep he had to hire a couple of 7-footers to help him reach his money clip at the bottom.

The Suns need someone who can organize the team on both ends of the floor and generate easy shots for guys like Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.

James would excel in this role.

But why stop there?

Why not get Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, too?

For that matter, what about Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard?

Or Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley?

We’ve heard about “youth movements,” why not “experience actions?"

The talk about LeBron has been widespread, starting with the Suns scheduling Bronny James for a pre-draft workout.

The speculation is that LeBron might be willing to play at a discount for a chance to run with his son, making the first such tandem in NBA history.

The joke is that a core of James, Booker, Durant and Beal would be hard to stop in 2017.

But these guys can still play.

And so can Chris Paul in limited minutes. Melo, too. (Probably).

Paul helped take the Suns to the NBA Finals before he was traded for Beal and ended up in Golden State,. Why not see if he’ll come back to help finish the job? The Suns certainly could have used his on-court leadership last season.

And just think of the commercials! Jake from State Farm, CP and LeBron could walk into an old-folks home where Melo is playing pickleball and break him out with the help of a magic headband that turns back time.

And if that’s your core, why not go get the rest of “The Redeem Team”?! If nothing else, it’ll make for a great sequel to the Netflix documentary of the same name.

Wade probably has at least one more clutch performance in him, and that’s what the Suns have needed in each of their last few playoff fizzles.

Bosh retired too soon. OK, yes, he had a potentially life-threatening medical condition, but no guts, no glory, amirite?

Howard … well. … Yeah. … Probably not Howard. He’s got a lawsuit pending against him that seems to stem from a sexual encounter gone wrong. If the case gets dismissed, maybe we can talk.  

Anyway, Mike Budenholzer would have no problems coaching this group. He could just play Kobe Bryant motivational speeches on TikTok and take a nap on the bench. His squad would be leading by 20 by the time he woke up.

From there, the team would need depth.

Could you imagine if Magic, MJ and Sir Charles were talking trash from the end of the bench and going crazy over lob passes and blocked shots?!

Just imagine the quotes in the postgame news conferences.

Reporter: "Charles, can you tell us what was going on out there tonight?"

Barkley: "You tell me. Your view was good as mine. I ain’t played a minute all season. I’m just here till Kenny, Shaq and Ernie tell me we’ve got a new home for 'Inside the NBA.'”

In all seriousness, there’s plenty of reason to be skeptical over adding the oldest player in the league in LeBron James.

It rarely goes well when star players chase rings at the end of their careers. I still have nightmares about Barkley playing for the Rockets.

But James was All-NBA last season, and he fits well with the Suns' current core.

Paul fits in a reserve role.

And if Howard’s legal troubles go away, why not bring him in on a couple of 10-day contracts to see how it goes?

Teams go young all the time. Why not zig where everyone else is zagging and go old?

And if all it takes is considering drafting Bronny James to have this much fun, imagine what would happen if the Suns actually selected him.

If nothing else, the jersey sales would cover the luxury taxes (Especially if they were to somehow lure Jordan off his yacht and into a uniform).

And, like a joke I heard from a buddy, the alternate uniforms could be “Los Suns,” “El Valle Suns” and “Phoenix Sun Cities.” (And for the record, I would 100 percent bring in James and James. Wouldn’t think twice. I’d sign them both and start planning a parade.
