Captain Kyle and Henry were fabulous! This activity made an incredible vacation fabulous! Kyle and Henry made everyone comfortable and make the trip fun. Kyle even gave us some history of the landmarks we saw. I would recommend Kyle and Henry and this boat ride as a must do!

This day was great and so was the boat and the captain. We had our family of 4 and we went out with Brian for a full day around St John. We had such a great time and he was the nicest person and so easy to talk to. He also knew alot about the island and its history. He also made the best rum punch. (best we had while on the island for a week) BEST DAY WE HAD ON VACAY. Highly recommend this company for your boat day needs and ask for Brian.

What a great time we had. Wedding went well, and the snorkeling at water island. They took us where we saw sea turtles and stingrays. The captain and Rachel we such great hosts, so attentive and just so nice. We all enjoyed our half day tour. Can’t say enough good things about them!

We spent half day celebrating our friends one-year Wedding Anniversary on Pisces catamaran! It was such an amazing time; Captain Connor and his first mate Chelsea were excellent! It was tranquil and quite relaxing; I will certainly use them again when ever my family and friends visit us in St. Thomas! I will also recommend Seas the Day Charters and Tours to my Airbnb guests!

What an incredible day!! Captan Bryan is amazing and probably the best captain we’ve ever had! He listened to basically what we wanted to do and then crafted the itinerary to perfection. We circumnavigated St. John and he took us to some of the most beautiful spots for snorkeling and just relaxing in the water. His superb timing got us to Lime Out for lunch at JUST the right time to secure us the best Lilly pad in the house! He was personal and informative and took the trip (which would have been great by itself) to the next level. Highly recommend!!

We had an absolutely fabulous day with Glenn! Truly, it could not have been better! Glenn is a very experienced sailor and very knowledgeable about the Caribbean. He is also a great guy and we all thoroughly enjoyed hanging with him for the day. We snorkeled at several great spots in the BVI, visited Willie T's and Soggy Dollar.

Whenever we visit St John "Boat Day" is always everyone's favorite day of the the vacation. This year was fabulous! We are a 3 generation family of 11 with six kids ages 9 and under. Captain Alex and First mate Aaron found out exactly what we like to do and they made it happen. The snorkeling was amazing, lunch from the pizza boat was delicious and fun and the time out on the water all day cannot be beat. Thank you Seas the Day and especially to Alex and Aaron. Our day really could not have been better!!!

An amazing experience to St. John! We went to snorkel at 2 different places that were both beautiful! Captain Greg and Coleman were amazing and so nice. They answered all of our many questions about the island and gave us the best information. They were so knowledgeable! We never felt rushed and we felt like they wanted to give us the best experience possible. The boat was so clean and the snorkeling gear was great. Very professional. This is the charter to book!

My husband and I had the best time on this excursion. This was by far the highlight of our trip!! We got to see different islands and learn so much history about St John and St Thomas. The crew also had snorkel gear so we could snorkel each island we stopped at, we saw a sunken ship, sea turtles, stingrays. What a way to spend a day. Met the crew at the dock, jumped on the boat, and had the time of our lives for the day. A couple of snorkel stops, a little sightseeing of the beautiful island of St. John, and then lunch at Lime Out Taco Bar. Lime Out was an excellent experience floating in the clear water surrounded by a beautiful area and eating some great tacos. This was my second trip with Stormy Pirates, and I brought the entire family as my first trip with them was great. Thanks to the crew for making this a day to remember.

We had an amazing time on their Sale Pending 2 boat. Captain Rich was funny and a really good Captain, we knew we were in good hands and safe. Tara, the crew member was so authentically attentive and caring. We had drinks all day long, sodas, water, punch, cocktails. They had fruit and muffins waiting, a scheduled pizza delivery on the boat, snorkeling equipment and the knowledge the guests needed to find sea creatures. So many small detailed extras to make the day superb!

One of the best ways to experience the USVIs is by sailboat and Blue Dream Charters did not disappoint. We booked a private charter for two days of our vacation where Tommy + Erin showed us some of the most beautiful spots in St. Thomas + St. John. The views were stunning and the snorkeling was so fun. We stopped by a few popular spots and visited hidden gems, learning history + fun facts along the way. Tacos + pizza for lunch were perfect after afternoons spent swimming. Six of us had a wonderful private charter out of Cruz Bay last week. Captain Will was knowledgable and accommodating of our diverse snorkel group, providing close supervision to those who needed it. Jarred (sp?), his first mate, was a wealth of information about the history, landscape, marine life and local culture peppering information into informal conversation throughout. We sailed, visited a couple of beautiful reefs we could not have accessed via Jeep on St. John, and enjoyed a very relaxing day on the water together. We got some great photos and will remember this experience as one of the highlights of our visit. Thanks Tommy and company for the memories made!

Captain Tommy and his crew catered to our every whim as they dodged the rainstorms and found the perfect, quiet, beautiful anchorage where they produced a delicious meal of fresh mahi or chicken tacos with all the fixings. The boat was extremely comfortable and spacious and a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy a special birthday. The margaritas were excellent, and they kept them coming. It was truly a perfect evening. Have some questions how this works?

The Virgin Islands gets rain in one area or another almost every day, but they are usually short and spotty. Your captain will do their best to avoid rain clouds, but if there are dangerously high waves or strong winds your trip may be cancelled. If this happens you will have the choice of a refund or an option to reschedule. 

We offer a full refund 24 hours prior to your scheduled charter. If we have to cancel for an unforeseen event or unsafe weather conditions you will receive a full refund.

This completely depends on what you want. When you pay the full charter price for the full day or half day option the yacht becomes privately rented out by you and whoever you invite to join you.

If you want to do a full day or half day but don't want to pay the full price, let us know and we can open up the shared yacht trip to allow others to book the trip with you.

Yes, it is customary t​o tip 15-20% to your Captain as well as the crew for an excellent day.

The itinerary depends on the number of stops and the distance to each island you want to visit as well as the length of time you would like to spend at each location. We do our best to accommodate what you want to do or where you want to go. It may not always be feasible or safe depending on weather or boat traffic in the area.  A member of our team will reach out to you to discuss your desired destinations. On the day of your charter the captain will determine if your itinerary coincides with that days weather and sea state.

Sailing with Marty was my first experience as an adult sailing off the coast. We had a wonderful trip starting in St Augustine. First, we were given some basic information about the boat and safety, the other crew members and our destination. Then we were off. We sailed up to Amelia Island for most of the day and then docked at Fernandina Beach marina. We had a short walk into downtown and had a wonderful meal. It was also a great way to really get to know the other members of the crew. The next morning we set off and sailed north to Cumberland Island. Once on the island, we explored the ruins, had a nice hike and enjoyed dinner on the boat. The next step was amazing. We headed off into the sunset on the boat and sailed all night. It was truly exhilarating sailing through the night. At all times, I felt safe but the excitement got me hooked on sailing. Marty is honest, helpful, and always cheerful; exactly what you want in a captain.

This past summer my husband and I had an awesome time on Summerwind. The weather was warm so it was a great time sailing to downtown St Augustine and simply grabbing a mooring ball eating a yummy lunch with our family and diving off the back for a refreshing dip. The following day we took the boat several miles out in the ocean with all the sails up, music on in the cabin; a complete escape from work etc. At day’s end we sailed right up to Caps On The Water restaurant for my birthday where we enjoyed a seafood dinner and drinks. We can’t wait to plan another visit aboard Summerwind, It was a complete vacation over only a single weekend. Many thanks.

Sailing with Marty is truly a treat... He and his trusty Yacht are one with the mighty ocean. Years at sea and behind the helm show, and pay off in high seas or calm. We had such a peaceful experience taking in the joys of the sea while sailing with Marty. He was willing to let us take on roles to help sail the boat (and willing to let us fail, too!) We brought along our two little children (2.5 years and 10 months) and they enjoyed playing below deck and seeing the beautiful scenery sailing by. We were grateful for Marty’s expertise, generosity and passion for sailing!

I've sailed with Captain Marty several times and it was a joy. One of the trips was a longer sail from Puerto Rico to Saint Augustine, Florida in May, 2013. We had a great time and I felt totally comfortable with Marty as our Captain. His sailing and navigating experience made me feel very at ease while on the water - he is a safety conscious sailor. I would give the trip 5 stars!

Being a novice on boats, this was a very exciting time for me. Marty and the crew made me feel very comfortable aboard the Yacht. We sailed down the Cooper River, under the incredible Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and into Charleston Harbor. I enjoyed seeing the USS Yorktown and the submarines. The view of the city of Charleston and the historic homes was amazing! Marty is very knowledgeable about historic sites. Seeing Fort Sumter from the water was also a memorable experience. I would rate this sail as 5 stars

My family and I have sailed many times over the last ten years with Marty and his crews including wonderful afternoons off the coast of St. Augustine. 2024 St. Thomas International Regatta

The 50th St. Thomas International Regatta (STIR) hosted a wide range of fleets on March 29-31 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Unusual westerly winds gave sailors a tactical run for their money during the regatta’s first two days, with traditional easterly 10-17 knot tradewinds returning for the final day.

The winner of the CSA 1 Class, filled with One-Design Cape 31s, wasn’t decided until the last leg of the last race of the regatta.

“We knew whoever won would win the regatta,” says Rob Greenhalgh, tactician aboard class champ and USA-based Flying Jenny. “There was a hard fight at the start, and we won it by being at the pin end. That was the key for us. However, it was still a battle as the wind changed halfway through the course from off Moravian Point up to Henly Cay. But we crossed the finish line a minute before the other boats in our class.”

The UK’s Michael Wilson’s ShotGunn placed second with the USA’s Marc McMorris on M2 in third.

The third time sailing STIR proved a charm for the USA’s Donald Nicholson’s J/121, Apollo, in the CSA 2 Class.

“We had a well-prepared boat, fabulous crew, fair winds, good luck, and the magic of the STIR regatta,” says Nicholson. “We’ll be back.”

The USA’s Trinity IV, a J/42 with crew from Tennessee finished second, and the UK-based race charter Beneteau First 40.7 Escapado third.

In CSA 3, it was Puerto Rico’s Keki Figueroa driving his Melges 24 Exodus which capped the class. It was a podium position in which Figueroa was familiar.

“I won the Hobie class here twenty years ago,” says Figueroa. “We sailed an IC24 for a while and now the Melges. My crew and I have been together for a long time. Between that and constantly watching the wind is what gave us the advantage.”

Team St. Maarten Island Water World, another Melges 24 with Jan Bus driving ended the regatta as class runner-up. Puerto Rico’s Julio Reguero’s J/35 Umakau finished third.

St. Thomas sailor, Lawrence Aqui, raced his Dufour 40, Wild T’ing, to the top of the CSA Non-Spinnaker Class.

“Our team has been sailing together over a decade,” says Aqui. “That means we know the boat well, what it can and can’t do well to go fast. Local knowledge definitely helped, especially avoiding the shallows around the islands.”

In second place was Hotel California Too, the USA’s Steve Schmidt’s Santa Cruz 70, while Trinity VI, the USA’s David McDonough’s J/40, ended third.

The One-Design IC24 Class proved the biggest of STIR with 15 boats and was the class that did the most races with 13 total over three days. St. Thomas’ two-time Olympian Cy Thompson on Bill T successfully defended his class-winning title.

“We had conditions that no one had seen before, but many of the same crew, so our team was spot on for the transitions,” says Thompson, whose crew was Maurice Kurg, Eric Cusin, Spencer LeGrande, and Emma Walters.

PJ’s Magic Coffee Bus, chartered to race STIR by Guy Williams from New Orleans, placed second. In third was St. Croix Peter Stanton’s Big Island.

Finally, the St. Thomas Sailing Center, the racing arm of the STIR-host St. Thomas Yacht Club, chartered its Hobie Waves for STIR in addition to IC24s. Nine Waves teams raced over two days with St. Thomas’ Chris Curreri first on OT the App.

“IIt was a tough class but a lot of fun,” says Curreri who previously won the IC24 Class in STIR.

St. Thomas’ double-handers 12-year-old Will Zimmerman and 11-year-old Finn Hodgins, ended as the runners-up with the USA’s Mike Compton’s Mike’s Windsurfing rounding out third.

Before STIR, the Round the Rocks Race (RTR) was on March 28 and circumnavigated the neighboring island of St. John.
