Brad Pitt just bought a $7.6 million yacht

The 'Inglourious Basterds' actor Brad Pitt, who has set up home with Angelina Jolie and their six children in the south of France in their vast estate, Château Miraval, has bought a new toy for the family...

  The 'Inglourious Basterds' actor Brad Pitt, who has set up home with Angelina Jolie and their six children in the south of France in their vast estate, Château Miraval, has bought a new toy for the family and it cost a fortune.

   Pitt always fancied a beautiful yacht and dropped recently $7.6 million for it. He brought the boat after selling a share of his French vineyard to famous winemaker Marc Perrin.   The couple's wine venture has already proven a huge success after selling out in just five hours. 

  Pitt is said to be in love with the idea of taking his kids out around the islands along the coast of the South of France near St Tropez.

  It is believed Brad's friend, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, will help him charter the 75ft yacht out to wealthy individuals while he's away filming.   The yacht sleeps eight but you can have more on board if you are just going out for a day.

Who is the most famous celebrity who owns a yacht? Well, Nicole Kidman owns a luxury yacht, Sunseeker Manhattan 74. In 2014, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased a yacht for over $250 million. They have been known to vacation aboard the watercraft with the whole family. Their family. Not yours.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have splashed out on a £250million superyacht.

The newlywed Hollywood A-listers are spending a further £200,000 to have the luxury vessel fitted to their own specifications.

The floating palace will be decked out with the finest Italian marble and woodwork by Italian boat-makers Rizzardi.

It will even feature technology that can interfere with digital cameras to fend off paparazzi.

Meanwhile, Brad, 50, and ­Angelina, 39, are in Malta shooting a film together after marrying in a secret ceremony in France last month.

But locals are said to be angry over alleged disruption to the village where the pair have hired six villas so they can be left in peace with kids Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and twins Vivienne and Knox, six.

A source said: “As well as two holiday homes to accommodate their brood, they’ve hired four surrounding them so they can have privacy.

"It’s as though they’ve sectioned off their own compound.

“Locals are getting angry as their presence is getting disruptive.”

Residents have posted comments on Facebook and some are ­planning an online petition to “show their displeasure”.

Don’t worry, folks – looks like they’ll soon be off to sea...

We told you about the gorgeous Versace dress Angelina Jolie wore for her wedding with Brad Pitt ; now news is that the couple has bought a superyacht... perhaps as a wedding present? The £250million (approx Rs 250 crore) luxury yacht will be one more in a series of extravagant purchases the couple has made .

A Floating Palace

Designed by Italian boatmakers, Rizzardi, the superyacht incorporates specifications given by the Jolie-Pitts, including high tech gadgets like surveillance cameras, to ensure privacy at all times. The yacht's flooring is Italian marble and wooden panels will be used or the interiors. All this is at an additional cost of £2,00,000 (approx Rs 2 crore).

Brad Pitt buys $5mn luxury boat

Brad Pitt has purchased a luxury yacht worth 5 million pounds for his family. The actor, who has six children with actress Angelina Jolie, bought the boat after selling a share of his French vineyard at Chateau Miraval to winemaker Marc Perrin.

The 49-year-old actor's friend Paul Allen, the Microsoft co-founder, told him he could offset the cost of buying the 75ft schooner by chartering it out to the well-heeled when he was away filming, the Sun reported. A source said Pitt always wanted a classic sail yacht and this one is perfect for his as it sleeps eight but you can have more on board if you are just going out for a day.

The source added that the 'Thelma n Louise' actor loved the idea of taking the kids out around the islands along the coast of the South of France near St Tropez.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have spent over $323 million on a luxury yacht.

The Hollywood newlyweds are said to have purchased the top-of-the-range ship, with plans to spend even more so that it fits their own specifications, including being decked out with Italian marble.

According to the Mirror newspaper, the yacht will have woodwork by Italian boat-makers Razzardi, while the couple will also look to stop paparazzi by installing technology to interfere with digital cameras.

Meanwhile, the two stars are shooting a film together in Malia following their secret wedding in France last month, but locals are angry over alleged disruption to their village.

The couple have reportedly hired six villas to ensure they are left in piece with their children Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their brood of six had a fun family day on the most expensive yacht available for charter during a vacation in Sydney, Australia.

The Jolie-Pitts had a day at sea on the Ghost II, a 120-foot Warren Sports Yacht.

The yacht, built in 2009, features luxury accommodations for up to eight guests in four cabins. Its staterooms are paneled in exotic fine-grained Makore timber and soft cream-colored leather, highlighted with stainless steel details.

The Art Deco-inspired interiors were designed by naval architect Peter Lowe and Anthony Starr Design.

The price to charter the yacht for a week: $90K.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spent the day on the water with their six children in Australia earlier this week.

The family of eight boarded a luxury yacht named "Ghost" in Sydney Harbor and spent several hours playing in the water and soaking up the sun. The Jolie-Pitts took a water taxi from the beach early in the morning and were ferried to the larger boat.

Shiloh , Maddox , Pax , Zahara , Vivienne and Knox were all seen playing in the on the boat's front deck.

Later on in the day, a few of the kids changed into wetsuits and tried their hand at paddle boarding with special instructors nearby.

Brad, who had flown in from Los Angeles to reunite with his fiancé and kids, was snapping pictures of his family throughout the day.

The proud papa cheered on as Shiloh was in the ocean while Angelina joked and laughed with the younger children.

Later that night, mom and dad took the kids to the Sydney Zoo—which, we're told, the superstar couple rented out for the night—and enjoyed the zoo's "Roar & Snore" adventure packages, which includes a sleepover after visiting the animal attractions.

The Oscar-winning actress is currently Down Under where she's directing her upcoming film , Unbroken .

The movie tells the true story of former Olympian and real-life World War II hero  Louis Zamperini  who, as an Air Force pilot, crashed into the Pacific Ocean in 1943, survived a long ordeal in shark-infested waters only to be later taken captive and held in a prison camp by the Japanese.

Meanwhile, her leading man has been in England and the United States working on several projects of his own, including his own WWII film Fury , but flew across the globe to see his loved ones for a few short days. How nice!

Inside Brad Pitt’s Design-Forward Real Estate Portfolio

Among Brad Pitt’s many accomplishments—seven Academy Award nominations, a successful  wine label , the title of  People ’s Sexiest Man Alive—is his ability to invest in some truly trophy real estate. The  Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood actor has spoken before about his affinity for all things architecture and interior design,  telling Oprah Winfrey in 2004 , “I love that architecture is this huge  art piece you can be inside. I believe it lifts your soul and affects your mindset.” In late 2012 he collaborated on a collection with furniture-maker Frank Pollaro, and in 2020 he narrated a  documentary about Frank Lloyd Wright. So it is no surprise that he has selected some impressive homes and made them even more so with his time, investment, and attention to detail.

Over the years, the actor and producer has owned residences in Hollywood, the south of France, Mallorca, New York City, and New Orleans, with a rumored property in the Lake of the Ozarks region of his native Missouri—though unfortunately for fans in the Show-Me State, there are no public records of this. Below, we’ve rounded up some of Pitt’s most prominent houses, some of which he still owns—and continues to expand upon—today.

Three years after he stole the screen as a charismatic hitchhiker in  Thelma & Louise, Pitt paid $1.7 million for a mansion in Los Feliz, purchased directly from Cassandra Peterson, better known by her alter-ego,  Elvira Mistress of the Dark. Over the next few years, the actor picked up two contiguous properties to expand the compound and then purchased two more after coupling up with ex Angelina Jolie in 2005.  According to  Variety , the multistructure 1.9-acre property cost a total of nearly $5 million. Under his ownership, the home came to include a 6,692-square-foot Craftsman main house, large outdoor swimming pool, private tennis pavilion, and skate park, and it was what Pitt called his kids’ “childhood home” in  a 2017 interview with  GQ . (It is also where Jimi Hendrix reportedly wrote “May This Be Love.”) The actor  listed his longtime property for $40 million in early 2023; a source  told  People magazine that the Oscar winner was “looking for something smaller” in the Los Angeles area.  He sold it just two months later , for $33 million, to oil heiress Aileen Getty. 

Pitt then enlisted the German architecture firm Graft to construct a zen Hollywood Hills getaway.   The actor served as his own interior designer for the modernist stone and glass oasis, telling the L.A.-based style magazine  Flaunt, “I learned that you have to let go of a lot of great ideas for the sake of harmony.”. The pad features hidden shelves and cupboards to maximize storage while minimizing clutter. Mica stone walls, pine flooring, and copious skylights help to add texture and character to the pristine space. It appears that Pitt still owns this home.

Shortly after marrying Jennifer Aniston, Pitt splashed out $4 million for an ocean-front, 11-acre vacation property near Santa Barbara. The home,  located near Gaviota State Park , is still in his possession today. When he and Jolie were together, they used it as a vacation retreat for themselves and the kids, horseback riding and enjoying time out on the beach.

When Aniston and Pitt purchased their main marital home together, they opted for an impressive 11,173-square-foot Wallace Neff designed mansion. The couple spent three years renovating the French Normandy Revival-style residence, which was originally built in 1934 for actor Fredric March and his wife Florence Eldridge. Improvements included heated marble floors, a bar with wood floors from a 200-year-old French chateau, and a brand-new screening room. When the couple split in 2005, they put the property on the market and ultimately  sold it for $28 million the following year.

Pitt then spent $8.4 million on a midcentury-modern bachelor pad in Malibu situated between Point Mugu State Park and the sea. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom dwelling featured three fireplaces, a tennis court, and access to a private cove, and measured 4,088 square feet. The architecture buff  reportedly spent millions renovating the 1962 property before finally listing it in early 2009. Fellow real estate enthusiast  Ellen DeGeneres snapped it up for $12 million in 2011, and flipped it for a $1 million profit a year later.

The following year, Pitt and Jolie bought a property in New Orleans’s French Quarter as they focused on charity work in the city after Hurricane Katrina. (Pitt’s started a nonprofit called the Make It Right Foundation in 2007 to help rebuild housing in the area, though it was  plagued with issues and controversy .) They paid $3.5 million for the brick, traditional-style 7,650-square-foot house, which was  originally built in the 1830s and featured Venetian-plastered walls, custom marble mantles, and original crown moldings. The now-separated couple put it on the market and  sold it a decade later for $4.9 million.

Pitt and Jolie set down roots in New York City with  the purchase of a residence at the famed Waldorf Astoria hotel. While it’s unknown how much they paid for the luxury unit, it’s rumored that the hotel held particular significance for them as one of the first places that they stayed together as a couple. It’s unclear whether or not Pitt or Jolie still own this home.

The couple set their sights toward international real estate over the next few years, first renting, and then buying, a villa in the French countryside. Named Chateau Miraval, the $60 million estate includes both a chateau and a winery, the latter of which the pair used to create an eponymous wine brand, best known for its rosé. Pitt and Jolie even tied the knot on the grounds in 2014. After their split and consequent divorce, however, it was Pitt who primarily maintained involvement with the brand—they are currently embroiled in a  lawsuit over the fact that Jolie sold her stake. In late 2021, the actor began  working with French producer Damien Quintard to restore a recording studio on the property.

While Pitt shot his World War II drama  Allied amid rumors of his impending divorce, he and Jolie reportedly paid $3.9 million for a private villa in Mallorca, Spain. Not much is known about the property, except that it measures 9,687 square feet and boasts eight bedrooms and a swimming pool overlooking the Balearic Sea.  Local media reported that Pitt and Jolie were spotted together around town often. It is unclear whether Pitt still owns this home.

That same year, the Jolie-Pitt family was  reportedly renting an eight-bedroom home in Surrey , England, along the River Thames, for $21,000 a month while Pitt filmed  World War Z  and Jolie worked on humanitarian projects in the U.K. The residence included an indoor pool and gym— ideal given the more blustery weather there. The plan was for the clan to live there for six months, and the couple split not long after that.

The  Ad Astra star next broke records with his  purchase of a historic seaside bungalow in Carmel, California, for $40 million. According to  The Wall Street Journal , the sale was one of the most expensive real estate deals ever made in the Carmel area—and likely for good reason. The Craftsman-style home was designed by Charles Sumner Greene, one half of the influential 20th-century architecture firm Greene and Greene (he shared the firm with his brother Henry). Named the D.L. James House, after the American writer who commissioned its design in 1918, the unique mansion is built from locally sourced granite and sandstone and even appears to be built directly into the rock. The structure measures 3,000 square feet and includes a basement-level library and a separate wing for live-in staff. Marble detailing in the interior include images of local flora and fauna carved into the marble, further establishing a relationship between the home and its immediate environment.

Shortly after oil heiress Aileen Getty purchased Pitt’s longtime Los Feliz residence, Pitt made headlines when he snapped up her  nearby midcentury-modern pad for $5.5 million —a substantial bump above the $4.1 million she bought it for in 2019. Known as the Steel House, the 2,000-square-foot home was designed by lesser-known midcentury architect Neil M. Johnson in 1960. Johnson was  reportedly inspired by the Case Study program , and so created this particular residence with certain telltale elements from that era: including a rectangular roofline, terrazzo floors, beamed ceilings, and cantilevered eaves. Fun fact: The owner before Getty was none other than Maroon 5’s guitarist James Valentine, who acquired the property in 2007. The rocker worked with designer Mark Haddawy to restore the home’s retro details, including a redwood hot tub, a freestanding sauna, and a fireplace that heats both the living and dining rooms.

Inside Brad Pitt’s Emotional Reunion With His Kids as They Visit Him for Pizza Parties and Snacks

Brad Pitt is spending more time with his kids following a bitter custody battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie . Two of the actor’s six children visited his home in Los Feliz, California, in January, In Touch can exclusively reveal.

“Brad cherishes time with his kids and loves seeing them when he can, when he’s in town, once or twice a week,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch. “ It’s definitely something he prioritizes.” 

During the family’s January reunion, an Uber Eats driver dropped off pizza and a bag of snacks at Brad’s mansion. The kids stayed at their dad’s house until 8 p.m. before they were chauffeured back to Angelina’s home, which is just a couple of blocks away .

When the kids are over, Brad’s girlfriend, Ines de Ramon , who recently moved in with the A-lister, leaves the premises. Her absence from the gatherings is to avoid any backlash from Angelina, 48, who doesn’t allow the kids to spend time with Ines, 31, according to In Touch’s source.

“Angelina still exerts a lot of control over Brad,” the source explained to In Touch on Monday, February 26. “There’s no doubt Ines wants to meet the children, but she knows Brad has to do whatever it takes to see them without trouble from Angelina.” 

Brad and Angelina, who split in 2016 after more than 10 years together and two years of marriage, share children Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 15. 

The actress has primary custody of the minor children after accusing her ex of physical and verbal abuse during the 2016 fight that led to their split. Brad was cleared after an investigation by the L.A. Department of Children and Family Services later that year, but remained at war with Angelina over the kids. In 2018, a judge threatened to reduce the Eternals star’s access to the kids if she didn’t let Brad have more time with them. In 2021, he was granted equal custody, only for the decision to be overturned when Angelina appealed and had the judge disqualified.

As he rebuilds his relationship with the kids, Brad has also found love again with Ines. The two were first linked in November 2022 and are now “[talking] about getting married and starting a family of their own,” a source told In Touch on Monday, February 26. “They are truly in love and spend all their time together.”

Los Cabos is a popular celebrity vacation destination, so it’s not surprising that multiple celebrities celebrated the new year in either Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo.  One of these famous faces was American superstar Brad Pitt, who was spotted vacationing in Cabo San Lucas.   He was seen with his model and jewelry designer girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, who he has apparently been seeing for a few months now.   

The Beginnings Of What Could Be A Beautiful Relationship

The two reportedly attended a Bono concert together in November of 2022, along with other well-known celebrities, including Sean Penn, and Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber. This was a couple of months after the split between Ines de Ramon and husband Paul Wesley was confirmed by a representative for the couple. They were married for three years and according to the couple’s representative, they made a mutual decision to separate.

The Relationship Moves Forward  

Pitt and de Ramon were then seen together again in December celebrating his birthday. By this time it was being reported that Pitt was really enjoying spending time with de Ramon, although he did say that no serious commitments were being made yet. Brad Pitt was married to Angelina Jolie in 2014 but less than three years later she filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for splitting.

Since his divorce from Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt reportedly spent some time with Emily Ratajkowski as well, but the relationship didn’t go beyond a few dates. The two are both interested in art but according to reports, there was never anything serious between them. Ratajkowski was recently divorced as well, and at the time was just enjoying being single and dating.   

Spending More Time Together  

The relationship between Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon seems to be a little bit more serious than previous relationships the Bullet Train actor had following his breakup with Jolie. Only a few months after meeting they were already celebrating special occasions together and now their trip to Los Cabos seems to signify a step forward in their relationship. Furthermore, insiders have revealed that they have been spending a lot of time together doing couple type things like watching movies, hiking, and working out together. It has even been reported that he cooks for her.

Sunbathing in Los Cabos   

During their Los Cabos trip the pair were spotted poolside in Cabo San Lucas soaking up the sun a few days after the new year. Both were seen sitting in lounge chairs and reading by the pool, he was reading something in a black binder, possibly a script according to sources. She was facing the opposite way and appeared to be sunbathing without her top on, though she did have her knees drawn up and covering her chest. 

Brad Pitt Keeping Busy  

Brad Pitt has not only been moving on in the dating world but has been busy in his career as well. The high-profile actor starred in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie in 2019 and then in Bullet Train in 2022. He is also a producer on the upcoming film The Killer, which will be released on Netflix this year.

The Future For Brad Pitt And Ines de Ramon

It will be interesting to see how the relationship between Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon progresses in the new year. One thing is for sure, and that is that there really is no better way to ring in the new year than sitting by a pool in Cabo San Lucas soaking up the sun with a beautiful model girlfriend. If that’s any indication of how the rest of the year will go, then Brad Pitt is a pretty lucky guy.

Brad Pitt on the Kind of Leading Man He Doesn’t Want to Be

“I spent most of the ’90s hiding out and smoking pot. I was too uncomfortable with all the attention.”

As the stuntman Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood,” Brad Pitt laid down a performance of vintage Hollywood dudeness. His character is equally at ease being a human security blanket for his B-list-actor boss, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, as he is subduing murderous Manson family members while tripping on acid. In James Gray’s “Ad Astra,” Pitt used the same tools he wielded so deftly in Tarantino’s film — laconic cool; understated emotion — to build an entirely different version of masculinity. In it, he’s Roy McBride, an astronaut on an interplanetary mission to find his absentee (in multiple senses of the word) father. But McBride’s imperturbability is rooted in repression and hurt, nothing like Booth’s so-it-goes acceptance. “The two characters could be connected,” Pitt says, “in the sense that you have to go through an evolution to get to a place of comfort. You have to go through profound internal hardships.”

There’s such stillness and ease to your work in “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” and “Ad Astra.” Those qualities weren’t always there earlier in your career. Is that because you’ve gotten better at picking roles? No, because I don’t know what the outcome of the work is going to be. But in the ’90s I did become aware that there was this kind of leading-man role that you could plug any of us into and it didn’t even matter. We would all have the same result. So as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more conscious of thinking, If I am the one to play something, what can I bring that’s unique?

What did you bring to Cliff Booth and Roy McBride? With Cliff it’s connected to my dad, the way he carries himself. It’s also the iconic figures like Butch and Sundance and in Clint Eastwood movies. Then it’s where I am in my life. I don’t care who you are, life is struggle. It’s how you perceive those struggles. As I’ve gotten older, I take them more as another day in the office, acceptance of what the day throws you. And in “Ad Astra,” we were looking at this idea of being older, being a dad. You become more aware of your shortcomings. You look into starting to break some of that open, which is not always comfortable. I said to James Gray: “I see this as very still, and I want to see how much truth and honesty can read on camera, can resonate.” It’s what they say: The camera doesn’t lie. Though I don’t know if that’s true. I’ve seen some people lie on camera, and it looks pretty good.

Have you lied on camera? I must have somewhere. Some days you’re drowning on set. You just can’t quite get there.

Was there a performance where you never got your head above water? My first 15 years of them.

Those 15 years include films like “12 Monkeys.” You got an Oscar nomination for that one. I nailed the first half of “12 Monkeys.” I got the second half all wrong. That performance bothered me because there was a trap in the writing. It’s not the writing’s fault, but it was something that I couldn’t figure out. I knew in the second half of the film I was playing the gimmick of what was real in the first half — until the last scene — and it bugged the [expletive] out of me.

Looking at the arc of your career, it seems as if a real shift happened somewhere around 2004. You started working more exclusively with higher-caliber directors. And maybe as a result, your acting had this new depth to it. I can see a line from then to now. Sorry, I realize that’s an observation and not a question. But you’re absolutely right. I’m happy someone could read that. It was really a turn on “Troy.” I was disappointed in it. When you’re trying to figure things out in your career, you get a lot of advice. People are telling you that you should be doing this, and other people are saying you should be doing that. There was this defining film I never got to do, a Coen brothers film called “To the White Sea.” We had an opportunity to go, and then it was shut down. Then another interesting opportunity arose, and instead I was talked into: “No, you need to be doing this other thing. You can get to your art project later.” I ended up taking that advice.

And you made “Troy”? No, it wasn’t “Troy,” it was another thing. But that really made me think, I’m following my gut from here on out. I had to do “Troy” because — I guess I can say all this now — I pulled out of another movie and then had to do something for the studio. So I was put in “Troy.” It wasn’t painful, but I realized that the way that movie was being told was not how I wanted it to be. I made my own mistakes in it. What am I trying to say about “Troy”? I could not get out of the middle of the frame. It was driving me crazy. I’d become spoiled working with David Fincher. It’s no slight on Wolfgang Petersen. “Das Boot” is one of the all-time great films. But somewhere in it, “Troy” became a commercial kind of thing. Every shot was like, Here’s the hero! There was no mystery. So about that time I made a decision that I was only going to invest in quality stories, for lack of a better term. It was a distinct shift that led to the next decade of films.

You didn’t get much opportunity to do comedy until fairly deep into your career, and now it’s a real strength — Cliff is such a sly, funny character. Was developing that side of what you do also part of the effort to get away from the straightforward leading-man stuff? Well, I was very conscious of that when I did “Kalifornia.” It’s kind of a B film, but it was important for me. I was going against the things I was getting at the time. I got to do character work in it, and there’s humor laid in there, too. I’ve gotten to do a few comedies. They’ve just been subtle. I’m better at behavioral comedy than jokes.

It’s interesting that you mention “Kalifornia.” I see that as a very method-y, flashy performance. It doesn’t strike me as pointing toward the kind of work you’re doing now. But it was another big turning point for me. After “Thelma & Louise” I was offered hitchhiker roles, which is no surprise — but you would be surprised at how many hitchhiker roles there were. I was also being offered romantic leads. For me in the ’90s, there was this strict imprint of what a leading man was. It felt limiting. So what I’m pinpointing with “Kalifornia” is a moment in which you can tell yourself that the box is bigger than the one you’re being defined in.

I think an example of the kind of behavioral comedy you just described is Cliff’s LSD scene in “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” — at least before he starts bashing heads. Actually, wait, I’m curious: Have you taken LSD? Who, me?

Yeah, you. Oh, sure. Oh, sure.

The way you said that suggests more than a passing familiarity. [laughs] I’m microdosing right now.

You’re holding it together nicely. By the way, that was brilliant of Quentin. He came up with that a couple of weeks before we started shooting. We already had the script, and then he said, “You’re going to be on acid in that scene.” I said, “Great!” It gives you so much room. The clichés of acid trails; it’s always funny. Everyone gets it. But the scene might’ve played the same way without acid: Cliff would find it so damn funny that he was having a normal night and then these bozos show up at his house. He was feeling the opposite of fear. There would have been humor for Cliff regardless. It was just amplified on acid.

Let me ask you this: A movie like “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” is so much about how certain kinds of cultural figures and images evoke particular associations and memories. And along those lines, it’s not some brilliant leap of interpretation to suggest that our — and the movie’s — awareness of a “Brad Pitt” persona affects our feelings about Cliff Booth. As an actor, are you aware of how the audience’s idea of you can resonate with a role? No.

Really? That resonance feels so central to the pleasure of the movie. The answer is no. I mean, I’m aware of when a director is using my persona really well. Fincher in “Fight Club” was twisting it. In “Jesse James,” it was pretty blatant. But no, I’m not really aware, and I’m not sure I should be. I stopped reading all press about 2004. Not just reviews. I mean any magazine in the doctor’s office. Because some of it would bounce around like a rat in the skull. It would stay there, and it would inform some of my decisions and choices in work, in life, and I didn’t find any of it helpful.

People always say they don’t read about themselves. I never believe it. I don’t go out of my way to avoid it; I just don’t seek it out. I don’t know how many women they’ve said I’ve been dating the last two or three years, and none of it’s true — I just flashed on something, but maybe it doesn’t mean anything.

What? When I first started my career, I was in USA Today. I was pretty pleased with myself. Two days after it came out, I go over to a friend-of-a-friend’s house. In the kitchen I look down and there’s a litter box for the cat — and there’s my piece in USA Today with a cat turd on top of it. That pretty much defines it.

This is a different, probably more embarrassing version of the question about your persona: Are your looks a tool you can use or subvert to particular actorly effect? No.

How could the answer be no? What about all this business about actors and their instrument? Yeah, but you don’t know how you read. I’ve had moments where I’ve seen pictures of myself from years ago and gone, “That kid looks all right.” But I didn’t feel that way inside. I spent most of the ’90s hiding out and smoking pot. I was too uncomfortable with all the attention. Then I got to a place where I was aware that I was imprisoning myself. Now I go out and live life, and generally people are pretty cool. I just flashed on something else: When I was a kid, I loved the Harlem Globetrotters. When they came to my town, it was a big deal. We had seats up in the bleachers, but I sneaked down and sat in the front row, and Meadowlark pulled me out of the crowd. I was the kid for the thing when they threw the bucket of water, you know?

You’re talking about Meadowlark Lemon’s famous Globetrotters bit where his water bucket is filled with confetti? Yeah. And I remember how when that happened I felt as if I had been touched by someone great. So what I’m getting at is that after I stopped hiding out, once I got back out in the world, I realized that you have that ability to make someone feel good for a moment. I’m not trying to say anyone is being brushed with my greatness. I’m trying to say that I have the opportunity to brighten someone’s day. That’s a rare thing.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ’s youngest daughter, Vivienne , is starting to follow in her parents’ footsteps.

The 15-year-old was born, alongside her twin brother Knox , in July 2008 in Nice, France, as the youngest of six siblings. She grew up primarily out of the public eye but made numerous red carpet appearances alongside her mother throughout her life and even collaborated on projects with her.

Jolie has been open about how raising her six children has been “healing” for her as she and Pitt encouraged them to be their own people and follow their various ambitions.

Why wouldn't you be?" she told PEOPLE in October 2021. "We're supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can't figure out who they are if you don't enthusiastically develop with them."

From her early acting credits to her burgeoning love for theater, here’s everything to know about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s youngest daughter, Vivienne.

She and her twin brother were born in France

Jolie first announced she was expecting when she debuted her baby bump at the Independent Spirit Awards red carpet. On July 12, 2008, her twins, Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon, were born in Nice, France. Vivienne was born a minute after her brother, weighing exactly 5 lbs.

The family spent time at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, following the birth of the twins. The proud parents spoke to PEOPLE at the time about how their older children were helping out with the newborns.

“[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins’] clothes and help change and hold them,” Jolie said. “It’s sweet – they are little mommies.”

She added that the house was “chaos,” with Pitt joking “it’s still a cuckoo’s nest.”

She was named after Jolie’s mother

Vivienne was named after a person close to Jolie’s heart: her deceased mom, Marcheline Bertrand. She died from cancer a little over a year before Vivienne was born, and Jolie chose to honor her with Vivienne’s middle name.

Vivienne lived up to her name, too, with Jolie expressing in August 2023 that her youngest child made her think of her mother.

" Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives," Jolie said in a statement to PEOPLE. "She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute."

She starred alongside her mother in Maleficent

In 2014, Vivienne appeared in her mother’s movie Maleficent as the younger version of Elle Fanning’s Aurora. Jolie said that her daughter, just a toddler at the time of shooting, was the only option since other kids were too scared to film with her as the menacing character.

“We think it’s fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors. That’s not our goal, for Brad and I, at all,” Jolie told Entertainment Weekly at the time. “But the other three- and four-year-old [performers] wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv.”

Jolie later reflected on the experience working with Vivienne on the movie, sharing during a Disney roundtable that the then-toddler was impressive in rehearsals.

"When we did it together, we had a good time. I was actually shocked that she was doing so well she went back and hit her mark! It's frightening," Jolie said.

She’s joined her mom on red carpets

Though Jolie and Pitt have mainly kept their kids out of the spotlight, the Jolie-Pitt clan has joined their mom on various carpets. Vivienne was by her mom’s side at The Eternals premiere in both London and Los Angeles in October 2021 along with her siblings. 

She also joined her family at the Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil premiere in 2019. Most recently, Vivienne accompanied Jolie to the premiere of The Outsiders on Broadway, which she helped produce.

She helped her mom produce a Broadway musical

In August 2023, Jolie announced she was producing a Broadway adaptation of S.E. Hinton's novel and Francis Ford Coppola ’s 1983 film The Outsiders . From the get-go, Vivienne was set to assist her mom in the process as the mother-daughter duo enjoyed a performance together in the summer of 2023.

The idea for the adaptation came after Vivienne inspired Jolie to see the musical. “She saw an early workshop a few times and then invited me to it,” the actress told PEOPLE during the April 2024 opening night.

The teenager served as a volunteer assistant to her mom and quickly became passionate about the project.

" Viv is a young artist who focuses her efforts on her support of others," Jolie said. "She has been there to assist in any way she can and has learned so much from [score and co-book writer] Justin Levine and the whole creative team."

She is the family’s biggest “theater head”

Vivienne was an easy choice for Jolie when deciding whether she would assist her, especially since the teen is a big fan of theater . During the red carpet for the opening night of The Outsiders , Jolie told PEOPLE that her daughter was the family’s biggest “theater head.”

“Viv. Definitely Viv,” she said, while The Outsiders book and score creator Justin Levine nodded and added, “Definitely Viv.”

She also took the job “very, very seriously,” with Jolie telling PEOPLE she was a “ tough assistant. ”

"She'll correct me," the proud mom said. "She'll say, 'Didn't you read the memo? We have to do this. We have to go through this.' "

"But he was wrong," a second tipster revealed, adding, "He made her life hell, and she's hell-bent on destroying him."

Brad Pitt has moved on with Ines de Ramon

Meanwhile, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star is said to be dedicating his attention to his budding romance with Ines de Ramon .

Insiders dished to PEOPLE that while Brad used to stress over his drama with Angelina, he finally feels happy again" with de Ramon "by his side."

"Sharing his life and living with Ines now makes his very happy. Ines is great. She doesn't come with any baggage and is able to just support him," the source spilled.

Additionally, friends close to the Bullet Train star, who was first linked to his new girlfriend back in 2022, "just want him to be happy."

The unnamed informant concluded that Brad's "certainly not perfect. He'll be the first to tell you. But he will continue to push back legally."

Word is that Tarantino had rewritten his script, which delayed the start of production. But this is his 10th and final film, and Tarantino simply decided The Movie Critic will not be it.

This is the biggest surprise to Tarantino fans since years back when Deadline revealed he had shelved The Hateful Eight after he gave a small group of actors his script and one of them shared it with their rep. Soon it had been copied and the rough draft was shared all over town and online. Tarantino felt betrayed, but he eventually returned to the project after staging a reading for charity and drawing raves for it.

As for The Movie Critic, originally planned to be his 10th and final film, Tarantino has simply had a change of heart and Deadline hears he will not be moving forward with the project. Sources close to the director said he changed his mind and is going back to the drawing board to figure out what that final movie will be.

The Movie Critic project gained a lot of momentum after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended when Deadline broke that Pitt would be joining the film, with the hope to start shooting it in 2024. Tarantino opened up a bit to Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye  at Cannes in May, when the filmmaker presided over a screening of  Rolling Thunder . He said at the time his movie was set in California the year of that film’s release, which was 1977, and that it “is based on a guy who really lived but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”

Like with shelving The Hateful Eight , Tarantino has pivoted when he finds it necessary, a trait that has served him well in his career and is sure to help on whatever he does decide to do as his final film.
