Captain - Adam Cunerd Adam started boating at the age of 8 with his family and neighbors on the Severn River just outside of Annapolis, MD. Water-skiing, fishing, and cruising were his favorite activities through the years, which expanded his knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. In his later teenage years and twenties, working at various marinas in the area, he became more involved in the handling, maintenance, and mechanics of boating. He attended Chapman’s School of Seamanship in Stuart, Florida, which helped him make his decision to work on private yachts as a professional crew member. Attaining his master’s license in 1993, he has traveled and gained cruising experience in the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, East Coast north to Nova Scotia, Canadian Maritimes, New England, the East Coast of Florida, Mississippi River, Ten Tom Waterway and its tributaries, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. With this experience he has gained the knowledge and skills to be a confident Master. Mate - Brandon Cavitt Brandon is from Nebraska and grew up going camping, fishing, and swimming. Brandon chose to come to Florida to pursue his career in the yachting industry. His goal for the future is to become an engineer. He is hard working, energetic, and personable. His hobbies consist of traveling, fishing, and water sports. Brandon will make sure you have a fun and eventful trip. Stewardess - Nicole Taylor Nicole grew up in southern Maryland. As a child she went boating and fishing with her family on the Chesapeake Bay. As an adult she settled in the Annapolis area and began her family. She has been taking part in various water activities all her life. She decided to begin a new adventure combining her love of the water and taking care of others and became a yacht stewardess in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Nicole gets gratification from giving exceptional service and taking care of the interior. Chef - Gail Murphy Gail was born in New York but grew up in Italy (Rome) and the South of France. She fell in love with the sea at an early age after sailing on her father’s sailboat along the coast of Italy. This is also where Gail gained her knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and the different flavors of Europe. Gail learned how to cook onboard yachts and has been doing so for many years. Gail also owns her own catering business in Fort Lauderdale. Engineer - Emmanuel Rojas Emmanuel was born and raised in Venezuela. He is a family man with a wife and two small children. Over nine years ago he began his engineering career preserving the environment on oil tankers then passenger ships. He continued to learn and develop his knowledge which led to yachting where he works as a very skilled engineer.

Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). Crew Information

Captain: ersin.

Captain Ersin Kamış is spending his third year mastering a luxury sailing gulet “Virtuoso”. Ersin is 38 years old, and he’s been working as a captain for almost one third of his life. Being originally from Hopa, located at the Black Sea coast of Turkey, he completed his professional education in Maritime College of Kocaeli near Istanbul. At the age of 23 Ersin received his captain license, and since then he’s been working at luxury charter yachts sailing in the Easter Mediterranean. He knows perfectly the sailing area of South-Eastern Turkey and islands of Greece. Apart from being a true professional, Captain Ersin has a debonair personality. He’s very friendly and communicative. He’s always there for the guests whenever they want to choose the best and the most interesting destination in the area, and ready to show a quiet secluded bay with crystal-clear turquoise water or an authentic village with some historical sights to explore and great restaurants to enjoy a wonderful culinary journey. One of the most favorite sailing areas for Ersin is Cyclades islands and the coast near Turkish little yachtsmen town Bozburun. Captain is very passionate about the sea and gulets. He’s been through the refit with “Virtuoso” and knows his yacht perfectly. He’s a true team leader having great relationships with his crew. First mate, Can (pron. Djan) Yurttaş is a very interesting and versatile young man coming originally from Kuşadası. Being only 21 years of age, he’s already doing his seventh season working in marine business, holds a captain’s license, speaks excellent English, and owns perfect service and hospitality skills. After high school Can also attended Maritime College of Kocaeli, like Captain Ersin. After the graduation, he took some additional training courses, successfully passed all necessary exams and received a license, which allows him to master a yacht. For his perseverance and high professionalism, Can has been promoted this year to the position of the first mate. Can really loves his job and is happy when guests are enjoying the most of their holiday aboard “Virtuoso”. Chef Mehmet Özgür Sert is a naturally gifted man. He is 34 years old and originally comes from a beautiful inland Turkish town Bolu, which is near the Black Sea. Being a chef is not only a lifetime profession for Mehmet, it is his true passion. Before starting to work aboard luxury charter yachts and cook culinary masterpieces for guests from all parts of the world, Mehmet worked in Istanbul. There he was mastering kitchens in luxury restaurants and hotels, always improving and polishing his skills. In wintertime, Mehmet comes back to Istanbul to spend time with his wife and two kids. Chef Mehmet doesn’t only please the tastes of his guests with various dishes of Turkish and Ottoman cuisines, Italian, French, and Japanese, but also with his own recipes. He loves using inspiration and experimenting with ingredients, tastes, and decors of his dishes. Mehmet is also excellent in pastry making. These are his own secrets, but we’d love to know how he makes those brownies and meringues so light and sweet to a turn. When not working, Mehmet loves being with his family, spending time near the sea and swimming, travelling and vising historical places. It is Chef Mehmet’s third year aboard “Virtuoso” luxury yacht. Eda Aras is working as a stewardess aboard “Virtuoso”. It is her first year in maritime business, but she’s already showing great performance. Eda is 20 years old, and she’s very perseverant young lady, who loves the sea, adores working with people and growing professionally. After high school in Kuşadası, she was enrolled in Maritime College of Kocaeli. Eda is happy with her choice. She says the job becomes more and more interesting for her and opens new horizons in life. This year Eda is responsible for keeping the staterooms in excellent condition during the charters and helping her teammates with service. She plans to continue working aboard the yacht and never stop mastering her skills to the top. When Eda has a free time, she spends it for reading books or fishing. Ali Özgür Kaya is 22 years of age. Aboard Virtuoso, he is working as a seaman. It is his second season with the crew. Ali is a professional young man, who’s helping Captain and his colleague Çağdaş to maintain “Virtuoso” in excellent condition, open sails when the wind is right, a guests with water sports. Ali has also graduated from a maritime college, and his life goal is to become a yacht captain. We believe Ali has all skills to achieve his goals. What makes him a great team member of the crew is his friendly smile and a strong belief in the integrity of teamwork. Çağdaş (pron. Tschaa-dash) Güneş is a also seaman, and it’s also his first year with Virtuoso. Although he’s been working aboard luxury yachts for the past six years. He shows excellent seaman skills and knows what a perfect service must be like. He is 24 years of age. Çağdaş comes from the northern part of Turkey, from a town called Kastamonu. That’s where he went to high school. Even though his hometown isn’t located by the sea, Çağdaş always loved the water. So, it is no wonder he’s chosen to dedicate his life to a marine profession. However, Çağdaş is expanding his horizons. After finishing maritime education and receiving a yacht captain license, Çağdaş began to study Tourism and Hospitality at the university. If Çağdaş has a free time, he’s happy to play football, listen to music and swim in some warm waters. Çağdaş has a very kind, friendly, and collected personality.

Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). Where to go Boating in Fort Lauderdale

Lake Sylvia

Lake Sylvia is a hidden gem located just off the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW),  north of Fort Lauderdale. Hop on a pontoon with the family and enjoy the small crowd of sunkissed Floridians that hang out here (don’t worry parents—this is a very family-friendly environment, you won’t find much of a party crowd here). If you have small children pack their floaties, the waters of Lake Sylvia are protected, warm and gentle. You and your crew will most likely be hungry after all the fun, nearby Lake Slyvia is Boatyard, a waterfront steakhouse with specialty beverages, and dishes even the kids will enjoy. 

Dockage : Leaving from the southwest corner, boaters can head west on the canal under the 7' bridge. Once you continue up the ICW, you can enter the canal just south of SE 15th Street where you’ll find a public boat ramp at Cox’s Landing.

Pro Tips : The water depth in Lake Sylvia can vary greatly depending on your location. Be sure to keep an eye on your depth finder and look for shallow areas.

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park

Also fondly known as Fort Lauderdale's 'Central Park,' Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is the green speck amid a concrete jungle located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. To get here by boat, and cruise around Sunrise Bay or Coral Bay. On one side of the bay, you'll have the thick tropical hammock trees of Hugh Birch Taylor State Park; on the other side, you'll see Fort Lauderdale's famous luxury waterfront mansions. There are many more spots, like the Bonnet House and Garden, sitting just south of Coral Bay! This is a highly attractive area, so you'll likely see many others oohing and aahing at all the beauty surrounding them. 

Dockage :  Yes - the park has a public floating dock and pavilion so boaters can access the park via the Intracoastal Waterway.

Pro Tips : Fishing is allowed in the park, but be sure to keep an eye out for 'No Fishing' signs. No fishing is permitted in waters within the interior of the park, such as the mangroves or the coastal dune lake.

ONLY NOW spends the summer and winter season in Amalfi Coast. She was delivered by the ship builder Tansu in 2012. A comprehensive refit was finalized in 2021. The expansive yacht layout features 4 generous cabins and comfortably accommodates a group of 8 guests.

ONLY NOW is classified as a superyacht. The generous aft deck, is right next to the the heart of the yacht - the main saloon. The main saloon is a well-design space that is well-equipped to shield from the elements in comfort and enjoyment and boasts a number of entertainment options. 4 spacious cabins are laid out with vison for maximum room, access, comfort and privacy.

The motor yacht features BF website: www.onlynow.charter.marketing ONLY NOW is NOT an RYA training centre, therefore the use of Jet Ski requires the charter guests to hold the necessary license. engines .

The cost of a yacht charter is dependent on a number of factors, including the type of yacht, the charter destination, local taxes, and the base cost. (If the yacht has a celebrity owner, well that too, can add to the cost.)

Therefore, yacht charters have a wide range of base prices. That’s why charters can cost from $10,000 per week on smaller sailing yachts and catamarans, up to $150,000+ per week on the most luxurious motor superyachts.

Yacht Charter Price Structure: “All-Inclusive” vs “Plus Expenses”

In the world of yachting, two types of crewed yacht charters are available to you – “All-Inclusive” and “Plus Expenses” charter experiences. What do these terms mean exactly? Here’s a quick look:

• All-Inclusive Yacht Charters – Some charters (mainly catamaran and monohull charters in the Virgin Islands) offer all-inclusive rates. That means rates are based on the number of guests, and they include all food and drink, water sports, and fuel costs. Dockage and taxes, though, are usually charged separately.
• Plus Expenses Charters – Rates for larger motor yachts do not include running expenses, which must be paid separately. For these luxury charters, the base price is for the yacht only. Additional expenses, i.e. food, bar, fuel, dockage, port taxes, and other expenses, are charged separately. Most frequently, the running expenses are paid by an Advance Provisioning Allowance, or APA, which is typically 35% of the base price; this is an amount that’s paid prior to the charter.

What can you expect to pay for a catamaran, a sailing vessel, or motored yacht? Here’s a quick overview of the average cost to rent a yacht (not including extra expenses) for the most common types available:

Factors that Affect Yacht Charter Prices

Since charter yachts are privately owned, prices are set by the owner. This can explain, in part, the wide range of differences in price between boats of similar lengths. Yet, several other factors can significantly impact price, including:

• The Yacht – The year the boat was built, the builder, previous owners, and the boat’s selection of water toys can also increase the cost of a yacht. Boats can also develop a reputation, i.e. the largest or most luxurious, or having a famous builder or previous owner. Reputation can also affect pricing.
• Season – Prices typically increase in the high season – i.e. high summer in the Mediterranean or winter in the Caribbean – and decrease in low seasons.
• Destination – Your charter destination also plays a role in charter cost. For example, prices increase in areas without large charter fleets (i.e. the Galapagos), whereas Bahamas yacht charters,   BVI charters , or Mediterranean yacht charter are priced more competitively.

Additional Costs Considerations on Yacht Charter

In addition to the cost associated with running the yacht and provisioning, there are a number of other costs that must be considered. These are the most significant:

Advanced Provisioning Allowance

The APA on Plus Expenses charters equals roughly 35% of the yacht’s base price. This is a fee that’s collected prior to charter, and it’s similar to an expense account the captain can access during the charter. At the end of the charter, you will receive a detailed accounting of your APA account, plus any unused APA funds in cash.

In the case of overages, you may be required to replenish the APA account during the charter. This can be done with cash, although many choose to set up accounts with their charter brokers , which can be accessed if requested by the captain.

Taxes and Value Added Tax (VAT)

Most boats – whether all-inclusive or Plus Expenses – will not include local taxes or a Value Added Tax into their charter rate. The charterer will be responsible for paying those taxes. Taxes range significantly by destination; here’s a look at some of yachting’s most popular destinations:

• The Bahamas – Tax: 4% plus 10% VAT
• BVI – Tax: between $6 and $16 per person per day, depending on the flag of the boat
• Croatia – VAT: 13%
• Florida – Tax: 6% for Broward County, 7% for Miami-Dade County
• France – VAT: 20%, however, 10% can be applied when an itinerary includes International Waters
• Greece – VAT: 12%
• Italy – VAT: 22%, however 6.6% (over 24m) and 8.8% (under 24m) can be applied when an itinerary includes International Waters
• Montenegro – NO VAT
• New England – NO TAX
• Spain – VAT: 21%
• Turkey – NO VAT

Charterers can purchase cancellation and curtailment insurance – which is similar to traveler’s insurance. This insurance can help cover costs if a charterer must cancel or shorten the charter. Charter brokers can help you weigh insurance options, and often offer several different options.

Crew Gratuity

While crew gratuity is certainly not mandatory, it is recommended, particularly if you were truly impressed with your charter experience. In general, crew gratuity is roughly 15-20% of the base charter rate, which is handed to the captain at the conclusion of your charter.

Delivery Fees

While these fees do not apply on most charters, you may be asked to pay delivery costs if you are not chartering in the yacht’s normal cruising ground. In most cases, you will only be required to cover the fuel for the trip.

There are several things that influence how much your yacht charter will cost. The type of vessel, charter destination, length of trip, base cost, time of year, and local taxes all make a difference.

How much does it cost for a crewed vessel?

Charter yacht prices do increase when hiring a crew along with the boat. At Worldwide Boat, we offer two types of crewed charter experiences: all-inclusive and plus expenses. An all-inclusive charter yacht includes accommodation for all guests, food and drink, water sport activities, and fuel costs – dockage fees and taxes are charged separately. A plus expenses experience accounts for just the yacht’s base price. Things like food, drinks, fuel, dockages, taxes, and other expenses are charged separately and are usually estimated to be about 35% of the base price.

What’s included in all-inclusive boat charters?

At Worldwide Boat, your all-inclusive charter experience includes a diligent and friendly crew, water toys, food, drinks, fuel, water and electric services, and occasionally diving experiences.

What are some additional charter boat costs to consider?

After finding a base price you’re comfortable with and evaluating your package, you’ll also want to consider delivery fees, crew gratuity, insurance fees, taxes, and Advanced Provisioning Allowance rates. If you are responsible for these fees, your crew will handle the necessary transactions on your behalf.

What does it cost to rent a 100- foot yacht charter?

This depends on what type of vessel you’re looking at and how long you’ll need it for. The average weekly cost of a 100-foot sailing yacht is between $50,000-100,000. A weekly 80-foot catamaran charter runs around $40,000-100,000, and a week-long 100-foot motor yacht rental is anywhere between $50,000-80,000.

Does the price to rent a yacht change depending on what type of boat it is?

The more remote an area is, the more expensive it will be to charter a yacht there. That’s because prices go up in areas that have fewer boats. If you were to travel somewhere like the Galapagos, which isn’t a typical yacht destination, you’d pay more than you would if you were traveling to the Caribbean.

How much do I tip the crew when reviewing my yacht charter expenses?

It’s not required that you tip your crew, but it is recommended and appreciated. If you had an enjoyable experience it’s considered polite to tip your crew anywhere from 15-20% at the end of your charter.

Delivered in 2015, she is the last of the highly successful 115 Sport Yacht models built and fitted with signature Black American Walnut panelling throughout. The open-plan saloon has extensive seating, a full wet bar and an entertainment centre including an upgraded 65-inch television screen and Kramer AV System. Boasting a special feature in a pair of port and starboard sea balconies accessed via sliding patio doors in the Saloon, it is complimented forward with a formal dining area seating for up to 10 guests. INSIGNIA accommodates 10 guests in a total of 5 cabins, all with entertainment centres, television screens and ensuite bathroom facilities. These cabins comprise of 3 fixed Double Bed Cabins and 2 further Twin Bed Guest Cabins which both boast a sliding berth option converting to double beds depending on your guests. This ideal cabin layout gives the perfect combination of layout to facilitate the guests requirements aboard. A beautiful theme of interior design gives an amazing sense of space and comfort throughout. In addition, there are ample quarters for 5 crew members.

The tender garage has space for numerous toys along with upgraded outdoor waterfall shower for the aft beach club. Up on the flybridge are two helm positions, upgraded custom bar, ice maker, vast sunpad areas, seating and dining areas, sheltered by a hard top with retractable sunroof. Twin 2,640hp MTU diesel engines power her to speeds of up to 25 knots, effortlessly cruising at 18 knots.

For the owner moving up through the range this Predator has a raised wheelhouse and full flybridge and so presents even greater entertainment opportunity, whether in party mode of full bore passage making. This vessel features twin MTU engines matched to shaft drives which allow her to perform up to 26 knots! From the sedan hard top to full beam capped forward sections, the design emphasis is on pace, but sittting at anchor while the tender and skis circle and play (which are securely garaged when under way), or swimmers snorkel from the rise and fall bathing platform, she also enjoys a more peaceful pose.

With more internal space, and similar plan, to the 34 Meter Yacht, the 115 is appointed throughout to the highest standards, be it the AV or AC equipment, with of course individual cabin control of both, and with much of the infrastructure so neatly concealed in the cabinetry, merging with the onboard aesthetic. Another option on the main deck is to have convertible balconies through the bulwark on both sides of the saloon which, when combined with doors from the saloon, make for patio extensions. Another desirable feature of this boat is that it has a main-deck master stateroom which provides for stunning views for the owner. Also, you have the option of having a shower and separate jacuzzi, or a large central walk through shower with additional stowage room. From her daring profile to the design house ceramics, soft touch Italian fabrics and sheen of the chosen wood grain, the Sunseeker Predator 115 is quite a sensation.
