Lil Yachty took to his Instagram “Close Friends” list Wednesday to reveal his forthcoming Nike Air Force 1 collaboration. Naturally, the images didn’t remain within his green list for long.
These alterations are only slight but are similar to Fat Joe’s Air Force 1 Low “Terror Squad” releases from earlier this year. Related Stories Nike Beats Sales, Earnings Projections in Q3 as Leadership Touts Innovation Pipeline Nike Draws Criticism for Changing Colors of England’s St. George’s Cross on Euro 2024 Kits
Lil Yachty first revealed the existence of his own AF1 in a video from the sneaker resale shop Cool Kicks’ YouTube channel. There have been conflicting reports on if the sneaker will actually release to the public, with Complex saying it’ll be a friends and family exclusive and the reliable leak account @Ovrnunder saying it’ll drop in 2024.
The truth could be somewhere in the middle, with this version being F&F only and another variant designated for a wider release. More information should arrive in the coming months, but it wouldn’t be a surprise for Nike to release a Yachty collaboration based on how big of a year he’s had in 2023. He also played a major role in the rollout for Cactus Plant Flea Market’s recently released Nike Air Flea 2.

Lil Yachty Unveils Friends-and-Family Exclusive Nike Air Force 1s
Don't expect this sneaker to release.
After much speculation and rumors, Lil Yachty has officially unveiled his Nike Air Force 1 collab.
Just moments ago, the rapper shared images of his Air Force 1 Low project on Instagram via the platform's close friends feature. Yachty' kept things fairly simple by applying a white-based leather upper that's offset by navy accents on the sock liner and outsole. The sneaker also features Yachty's Concrete Boys logo embroidered on the footbed and special "It's Us" branding on the tongue.
Speculation about Lil Yachty potentially having his own Air Force 1 first hit the net last month when the rapper himself said he created his own iteration of the classic silhouette while shopping for sneakers. The rapper later backtracked on the statement, denying the project.
This Nike Air Force 1 collab is exclusive to friends and family members of Yachty and will not be released to the public. Grab a closer look at the shoe below.

A collaboration between one of rap's biggest sneakerheads, and the world's biggest sneaker company.
[Update 1 Feb 2024] First teased in November, Lil Yachty has since shared more looks of his Nike Air Force 1 Low “Concrete Boys” when he appeared on SNKRS live recently. As of now, it’s an F&F exclusively for his coterie. Nevertheless, stay tuned!
He did say, “As of right now, this’s only a Concrete exclusive.” The first part, “As of right now”, being the operative phrase.
[Update 16 Nov 2023] First looks of the Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 have now emerged. Also known as the “Concrete Boys”, the pair features a white leather upper and Air midsole unit, complemented by Navy accents on the sockliner, rubber outsole, “It’s Us” tongue tags and Concrete Boys logo on the sides.
At this time, the pair is said to be a Friends and Family exclusive. But rest assured should it see a general release, we will keep you informed so stay tuned here for further updates.
Lil Yachty recently made an appearance on CoolKicks, where he hinted at a collaboration with Nike. About nine minutes into the interview, he casually held up a Nike Air Force 1 Lows and subtly mused, “I just did a Force.” This Freudian slip left fans speculating that a Lil Yachty x Nike Air Force 1 is actually in the works.
When directly probed about it, AKA Lil Boat was evasive and non-committal in his reply, “I didn’t say that, I didn’t say that!”
There isn’t a Rosetta stone regarding the pair but expect the collaborative Air Forces to be reflective of the rapper’s off-beat personality and taste.
He was recently spotted in the upcoming Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 “Faded Spruce” and the pair’s unconventional design was perfectly in-brand. Thus, the upcoming Yachty and Swoosh collaboration might produce a shoe equally enigmatic.
For now, we’ll just have to stay tuned! In the meantime, check out the CLOT x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar .

Nike’s Be True to Your School collection gifted eight collegiate programs with the first team basketball shoe, the Nike Dunk High . Nearly 40 years later, the Beaverton brand is reimagining the heritage-infused collection through the eyes of its female audience.
Initially introduced through a grade school-sized Air More Uptempo , the upcoming women’s exclusive collection of footwear now taps the iconic Air Force 1 Low for a staple varsity-style color blocking. Embarking upon its entirely own color palette, the Bruce Kilgore design introduces its layered upper with a slate grey pebble grain leather base layer with contrasting dark navy overlays. While further greyscale appearances render along the nylon inner lining a set of bright white contrasts illuminate the laces and profile swoosh as a clad “Sail” sole unit brings a vintage finish to the ensemble underfoot.
Accompanied with retro hangtags and 80s-style Nike branding, the Air Force 1 Low “Be True To HER School” can be seen below in detailed imagery as we await further release details.
In other news, Lil Yachty reportedly has his own AF1 collaboration on the way.
