Since 2013, Below Deck has been captivating TV audiences across the globe by offering a voyeuristic peek into life on board multi-million dollar luxury charter yachts . Taking readers behind the scenes, YachtCharterFleet identifies the yachts featured on the show, as well as those which have appeared on the celebrated spin-off series Below Deck: Mediterranean , Below Deck: Sailing , Below Deck: Down Under and the latest iteration, Below Deck: Adventure .

Bravo’s hit reality TV series Below Deck chronicles the lives of crew members who work and reside aboard a luxury yacht during the charter season.

Each season features a different crew configuration, and the episodes show how the crew members interact and deal with personal issues alongside their working lives. The seasons are filmed over six weeks, with every episode featuring a new group of charter guests.

Getting even closer to these Below Deck superstars, we take a look at each of the stand-out features of every yacht that has appeared on the show.

Below Deck (US)

Many crew members are recurring on the show;  the longest-standing is Captain Lee Rosbach, who been on the show since 2013. A fan favourite, he has been at the helm of every yacht on Below Deck and seen a number of different crew formations.

The latest Below Deck season 10 is rumoured to be his final swan song, although his legacy on the show is such that whoever replaces him will have very big shoes to fill.

Among the crew members, Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain was an integral member of the team from season two to season seven. Alongside her, Chef Ben Robinson was a permanent fixture of the crew from season one to season four, before stepping out for season five.

Throughout the course of the show, the yachts have played an important role.

Hiring a Below Deck yacht will cost from €140,000 per week - and that price doesn't include expenses such as fuel. While some of the yachts were given an alias over the course of filming, their real names can now be revealed below; as well as the exact cost to rent them.

The largest yacht in the show's history, the 10th and 11th seasons of Below Deck  are set around the Caribbean islands of St Lucia  and Grenada onboard the luxurious 60m (197ft) superyacht ST DAVID . Delivered in 2008 by Italian shipyard Benetti, the yacht has an impressive sleek, supercar-inspired profile that instantly turns heads.

Onboard highlights include her well-appointed sundeck with sunloungers and sunpads where guests can kick back and relax, a spa pool and her al fresco cinema screen set up for unforgettable movie nights.

One of the yacht's most distinctive features is her sophisticated spiral staircase that leads through all three decks and is lit by a skylight in the spa pool of the sun deck. The yacht is very versatile for a variety of charter party configurations, with room for 12 guests across six elegantly appointed cabins.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

This is the first time the Below Deck franchise branched away from gleaming motor yachts, with the various weather issues that sailing yachts have to contend with adding even more drama and excitement.

The design of luxury sailing yachts  also creates far more confined crew areas than we are used to seeing on the original Below Deck . In general, sailing yachts tend to feature smaller galleys, compact stew stations and cramped crew quarters which are in closer proximity to the guests’ living areas, putting crew under increased pressure to deliver their signature silver service.

In addition, deck crew are placed in a far more demanding role, with sailing yachts requiring increased accuracy and precision to safely maneuver and plenty of deck duties taking place in the midst of guest areas.

PARSIFAL III

Season 2 was set around the glistening waters of Croatia and in  Season 3 of Below Deck Sailing , M/Y PARSIFAL III came back to where she traditionally charters in the beautiful Balearic island of Menorca . For the latest Below Deck: Sailing Yacht season she ventured around the glittering coastline of Sardinia .

The yacht can comfortably charter up to 12 guests across 5 luxurious cabins with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

For this new serie filled with adventure, Below Deck picked the motoryacht Mercury, ex Malibu and Kermit, to explore the Fjords Norway is famous for.

Mercury is a 50m motoryacht built by the dutch shipyard Amels, and designed by Terence Disdale.

She can accomodate up to 12 guests and 12 crew onboard. No doubt, that should be enough for this new exciting season.

Mercury is available for charter from $170,000 a week . Her current selling price is $13,500,000 .

Yachts featured in Below Deck Down Under (Spin off in Australia)

Thalassa (keri lee iii): the motoryacht in below deck down under season 1.

keri lee III below deck down under season 1

Thalassa was the vessel of choice for the Australian Spin off of Below Deck. The real name of the yacht isn’t actually Thalassa but Keri Lee III.

The 181ft (55m) yacht was built by the American shipyard Trinity Yachts and features amenities such as a gym, a jacuzzi and 6 magnificent cabins. The perfect vessel to sail in style the waters of Northeastern Australia.

Keri Lee has a weekly charter rate that starts at AUD310,000 .

Northern Sun: the yacht in Below Deck Down Under Season 2

northern sun below deck down under season 2

Below Deck Down Under season 2 explored the coasts around Cairns, the gateway to access the great barrier reef and the Whitsunday Islands.

And it’s hard to imagine a better yacht than the Northern Sun motoryacht to explore this iconic area. The Northern Sun is a 50.8m (now yacht) that used to be a vessel dedicated for ice exploration. The refit work took two years but was clearly worth it when we look at the result displayed in this second season of the Australian Spin off.

Although the Northern Sun is built by the Japanese Narasaki shipyard, it surely is a boat that fits Australian waters quite well and could delight anyone looking to explore the most rugged locations in style, whether they are polar or tropical.

Northern Sun is available for charter from $161,700 / week . Her latest asking price was $15,000,000 .

Who Pays for the Below Deck Yacht? We Finally Have the Answer

The memories may be priceless, but the charters aren't.

how much is the below deck yacht worth

A vacation doesn't get more luxurious than the getaways we see on Below Deck , Below Deck Mediterranean , and Below Deck Sailing Yacht . These vessels cruise around the most breathtaking locations in the world, letting the guests experience everything the diverse cultures have to offer, all while the crew fulfills their every wish and whim.

How to Watch

Watch  Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo App .

This kind of luxury definitely doesn't look cheap — and it isn't, with the charter guests paying for everything, including that stack of cash they hand over to the captain to tip the crew, as Mark Cronin, who has been an executive producer on every season of Below Deck , Below Deck Med , and Below Deck Sailing Yacht confirmed to The Daily Dish during an interview last month. “They spend their real money to be on the show," he explained. "And then the tip they leave, they decide what it is."

Below Deck Producers Spill Behind-the-Scenes Secrets

It sounds like chartering the Below Deck yacht has been totally worth it for the charter guests who have appeared on the show, according to Courtland Cox, who has also served as executive producer on every season of Below Deck and Below Deck Med .

“They’re not people that are coming on because they feel like this is a good chance for them to get on TV. This is a great experience for them to charter a very large yacht with a very experienced and fun crew and have an amazing three-day charter in an amazing location,” he told The Daily Dish last month. “I want them to enjoy their charter and not be afraid to ask for things if they want. And I think that at the end of their charters, like, every charter guest we’ve had has said this has been an amazing experience.”

What Is Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach’s Net Worth: How The Bravo Star Makes Money

Octomom Nadya Suleman Children

It pays to be the Stud of the Seas! For eight seasons, Captain Lee Rosbach has helmed the superyachts on Bravo’s Below Deck , and also had to deal with plenty of drama with his crew along the way. Keep scrolling to find it his net worth, how he makes money and more.

What Is ‘Below Deck’ Star Lee Rosbach’s Net Worth?

According to Cinemaholic , the Florida-based skipper is worth approximately $1 million.

How Does ‘Below Deck’ Star Lee Rosbach Make Money?

The beloved but sharp tongued captain likely brings in up to $210,000 a year by helming the yachts featured on Below Deck,   Worldwide Boat reports, as that’s the salary for skippers of boats in the 150 feet to 177 feet range. His current yacht, My Seanna, measures in at 185 feet.

jessicamore-below-deck-secrets

Captain Lee grew up in Michigan, and even though he spent plenty of time on boats growing up, he worked in the restaurant industry until the age of 35. That’s when he moved into the world of yachting and became a captain. After more than three decades skippering vessels throughout the Caribbean and South Pacific , he’d been able to earn a healthy living from his captain’s salary.

Lee’s paycheck from Below Deck has not been disclosed, but his presence on the show beginning in 2013 has helped raise his profile to branch out into other ventures. He became a published author in 2018 when his memoir, Running Against the Tide: True Tales from the Stud of the Sea , was released .

In February 2023, it was revealed that Lee will only appear in a few episodes of season 10 due to health issues. While he will be returning at the end of the season, the Bravo veteran will be leaving the show for good ahead of season 11.

Amazon Big Spring Sale

Deal of the Day

How else does ‘below deck’ star lee rosbach make a living.

The tome’s description on Amazon reads: “From having to reclaim his drunk captain’s lost papers in the Dominican Republic to unwittingly crewing a drug boat out of Turks and Caicos to navigating the outrageous demands of the super-rich in New York City, Captain Lee’s tales from the high seas run the gamut, proving time and time again why he’s a fan favorite: he’s occasionally profane, he’s often surprising, but he’s never dull and, for the first time, he’s here to tell all.”

Below Deck's Kate Chastain Shares Off-Camera Moments: Watch

In the book, Lee wrote about his time on Below Deck : “Working on a TV show has been a learning experience, but at the same time, it hasn’t changed who I am or what I do. First and foremost, I’m still a captain, a sailor. Whether there are cameras there or not , I do my job … I’ve got a lot more people who know who I am now, but I don’t think working in TV has changed me.”

Captain Lee has his own online store , where fans can purchase mugs with some of his salty sayings on them, coaster sets, T-shirts and autographed photos. And if that’s not enough, fans can purchase a Cameo message from Captain Lee for $250 for a personalized video, $4,000 for a message to a group or company, $750 for a live video call or $3 for a quick message.

How much does it cost to charter a yacht from below deck.

If you’ve watched Below Deck or Below Deck Mediterranean, you have surely been absorbed by the captivating drama of the cast’s lives. But more stunning than the cast are the beautiful superyachts that serve as the stage for the drama. But how much does it cost?   It costs $140,000 to $275,000 per week to charter a yacht from ‘Below Deck’. The average price you should expect to pay is north of $180,000 to charter a boat that has been on the later seasons of ‘Below Deck’. But if you get featured on the show, you’ll probably only pay half of the charter rate due to a 50% discount from the production.   In this article, you will learn more about the prices of those yachts featured in the famous TV show. You will also find out whether Captain Lee comes with the yachts and how you can meet the cast and crew of ‘Below Deck’ in real life. But first, let’s explore the process of chartering a yacht from ‘Below Deck’.

How to charter a Yacht from ‘Below Deck’?

Below Deck Yacht Scirocco

However…

Because the average yacht on the show is worth over 18 million dollars, most yacht rentals don’t let the production shoot on their yachts for free promotion. In such instances, there is no exchange of free marketing and discounts, which is why most boats you see on the show have their names disguised with a show version name. Below, you’ll find the list of all the featured yachts and their real names.

How high are the prices for Yachts from ‘Below Deck’?

Captain Lee and Crew

Can you get Captain Lee on your Yacht?

Captain Lee is not attached to any specific yacht from the show ‘Below Deck’. If you charter a yacht from the show, there is no guarantee that the crew will be the same cast as it was on ‘Below Deck’. On the other hand, you can charter a yacht that’s never been featured on the show and still get Captain Lee. Please contact us upfront if you want to charter a specific yacht from the show and if you have any wishes regarding the crew. You can request Captain Lee for your yacht charter and specifically request for his staff from ‘Below Deck’. We at Noblesse Yachts will make all the arrangements for you. But that doesn’t guarantee you’ll be featured on the reality TV series ‘Below Deck’, as not all of Captain Lee’s adventures are featured in the series.

An easier way to meet Captain Lee and his crew is to apply for the show. Instead of paying for a superyacht charter and Captain Lee independently, you can book them as a package deal – if you are willing to be featured on the show. Please note that Captain Lee Yacht availability keeps decreasing by the minute. He has brand deals, collaborations, and other engagements that can further narrow his time for in-person captaining. In other words, getting the stud of the sea to captain your yacht will take far more than the average yacht captain’s quote.

For fans of captain Lee on Below Deck, there are meet-and-greet events as well as the option to get a personalized video message .

Getting featured on the Netflix-Show ‘Below Deck’: The Process

Getting featured on Below Deck entails:

  • answering the casting call of the production company that shoots the show
  • willingness to pay 50% of the yacht charter price and 100% of the staff tips
  • getting interviewed by the casting director

How to charter a yacht from ‘Below Deck’ – without actually being on the show

If you want to rent a yacht from ‘Below Deck’, you can simply contact us . We have all available dates, charter prices, and itineraries for every yacht featured on the show. Is your preferred yacht not available? Don’t worry. The yacht charter market is BIG, and we can almost guarantee that we will find a suitable option for your desired dates or destination.

Are there any hidden costs when chartering a yacht from ‘Below Deck’?

Although charter prices for yachts from ‘Below Deck’ start at a whopping $140,000 per week, these prices don’t include standard charter extras. Alongside paying for the staff tips (usually 10% of the charter price), you may need to pay for docking fees, applicable taxes, and the APA (advance provisioning allowance).

We will gladly calculate any applicable extra costs to avoid you getting surprised by hidden fees and taxes. Depending on the destination, the docking fees will be listed and accessible (to an extent).

What you need to know before getting aboard a yacht on ‘Below Deck’

  • You have to pay – The production will contribute to your yacht charter, but you will not leave the show with any profit. That distinguishes the show from many other reality shows. However, you will save a significant amount of money, that’s for sure.
  • You’ll get a discount on the charter rate – The production will pay for 50% of the yacht charter price. The trend shows that they choose bigger yachts with every season because people are willing to pay more to get on the screen.
  • You pay 100% of the staff tips – That’s usually 10% of the charter’s total price. You might want to tip more if you want to show your generosity.
  • You are willing to ‘work’ on your vacation – It really does involve work, as you have to be camera-ready and may have to re-enact real-life interactions if cameras are unavailable when something significant happens.

What is the minimal booking period for a Luxury Yacht Rental?

  • Maldives – Decent yacht availability, low rates
  • Turkey – Broader superyacht availability, good rates
  • Dubai – Superyachts are available for hourly, sharing, and rental. Expensive
  • Greece – Narrow yacht availability, low rates
  • Croatia – Narrowest yacht availability, low rates

The show has since had a number of spin-offs, including Below Deck Med and Sailing Yacht. With Captain Lee Rosbach and Captain Sandy Yawn being the longest-running cast members, fans always assumed they were the richest Below Deck cast members. Well, while Lee's $800,000 net worth and Sandy's $400,000 net worth, it's actually Chef Ben Robinson that takes the take with his $2.5 million net worth! Hannah Ferrier also comes out on top with an impressive net worth of $600,000, which will certainly come in handy after having just given birth a few months ago.

10 Kat Held - $100,000

Kat Held was certainly a respected crew member on the hit series, Below Deck . Her career out at sea first began back in Maimi, Florida when she snagged her first role as a yacht stewardess. While fans loved Kat, it appears as if she did not love the show.

The star remained a full-time cast member for two seasons before calling it quits. She went on to reveal that she'd be leaving yachting behind for good and moved back home to Rhode Island. Despite her leaving the industry, Kat managed to earn herself a net worth of $100,000.

9 Rhylee Gerber - $100,000

Prior to her time on Bravo, Gerber appeared on the reality show, The Last Frontier , making it clear that she was no stranger to the cameras. During her time with Bravo, Rhylee earned $20,000 per episode, amassing a net worth of $100,000.

8 Ashton Pienaar $150,000

Ashton Pienaar made his Below Deck debut during its sixth season on Below Deck: Seanna . It became clear that he and fellow co-star, Kate Chastain, would not get along, which was evident during the show's reunion at the Bravo Clubhouse. During his time on the show, Pienaar developed quite the budding romance with fellow cast member, Ross Inia.

The two bonded over their love for sports, and adventure, which made their time out at sea that much better. While Ashton may no longer be on the show, he managed to earn decent pay, amassing a net worth of $150,000.

7 Kate Chastain - $300,000

Kate Chastain is easily one of the biggest names attached to the Bravo series. She first began at the very start of the show as the lead stewardess and one that didn't put up with anything! Chastain remained on board for six seasons before announcing she would be leaving the show for good.

In addition to stepping down from Below Deck, Kate also revealed that she'd be leaving Bravo's Chat Room , making it clear that she's no longer about that Bravo life. Despite her absence, Kate managed to make quite the name for herself, and if that weren't enough, she's also earned herself a net worth of $300,000.

6 Captain Sandy Yawn - $400,000

Much like Captain Lee Rosbach, Captain Sandy Yawn is not only a fan favorite but loved by Bravo exec, Andy Cohen. Sandy has worked in a freelancing capacity at sea for over three decades, making her quite the expert.

As a yacht captain, [aroculal on Below Deck , the star has dealt with a number of situations that make her as great as she is, especially when it comes to putting up with her crew. Luckily for Captain Sandy, the star has her $400,000 net worth to fall back on if she ever chooses to leave the show for good. While Sandy ruffled some feathers following Hannah Ferrier's firing, she appears to be redeeming herself on the current season of Below Deck Med.

5 Hannah Ferrier - $600,000

Considering the success of Bravo's original Below Deck series, it was only fitting for the network to introduced fans to Hannah Ferrier, who became the Chief Yacht Stewardess in the reality series spin-off, Below Deck: Mediterranean.

The Aussie-born star has become a fan favorite, mostly because of her bubbly and sweet personality. Despite her kind ways, Ferrier is also the last person you'd want to upset! Luckily for the star, her success in the series has allowed her to amass a net worth of $600,000. Since her firing last season on Below Deck Med, Hannah has moved back to Australia where she and her hubby have started their family!

4 Captain Mark Howard - $800,000

Captain Mark Howard first appeared on Below Deck' s first season, however, that would be the last time fans would see him. While his departure may have come off as sudden, fans immediately fell in love with Howard's replacement, Captain Sandy.

During his time on the show, it was reported that Mark was bringing in between $120,000 to $180,000 annually , which is quite similar to that of Captain Lee. Considering the duo have been in the game for the same amount of time, it is only fitting to assume that Captain Mark's net worth is similar to that of Lee Rosbach's.

3 Captain Lee Rosbach - $800,000

Captain Lee Rosbach is certainly the most loved Below Deck cast member. The captain is by no means a pushover and has no problem speaking his mind, especially when it comes to rules on his ship.

As someone who charters yachts, it is no surprise that the esteemed out at sea captain has amassed an impressive net worth of $800,000 , which was certainly made possible from his estimates $95,000 - $130,000 annual salary, says Screen Rant . Captain Lee has just welcomed yet another grandchild earlier this month, baby Amelia Charlotte.

2 Eddie Lucas - $1 Million

Eddie Lucas appeared on the very first season of Below Deck , however, he only lasted up until the series third season. During his time on the show, the star stirred up quite a lot of drama, especially when it comes to his romance.

He began dating co-star, Rocky Dakota, however, he did so all while having a girlfriend back home. Despite his wrongdoings, Eddie was a stellar sea crew member, which makes his $1 million net worth a fitting figure for his level of adventure expertise.

1 Ben Robinson - $2.5 Million

Ben Robinson joined the cast of Below Deck as none other than the mastermind behind some of the most delicious meals the crew has served to its guests. While his time on the show has certainly helped him amass his $2.5 million net worth , he has had quite the culinary career prior to his time on-camera.

Robinson received his cooking skills back in Florence, Italy before becoming a chef on the Athena, the world's biggest cruise line. In addition to his talents in the kitchen, Ben is also a certified health and lifestyle coach, which also contributes to his growing worth.

Below deck: captain lee's salary from the show & his net worth.

Captain Lee Rosbach has made quite a hefty salary from not only sailing on luxury superyachts but also from having a big role on Below Deck.

Captain Lee Rosbach has made quite a hefty salary from not only sailing on luxury superyachts but also from having a big role on  Below Deck .

Viewers got to see the skills of a mega-yacht captain when Lee joined the cast of the Bravo reality series for its first season, which aired in 2013. Since then, fans of the show have enjoyed watching him control the ship as the rest of the crew follows his lead. The crew not only respects Lee as their captain, but they also enjoy him as a person. Since Captain Lee has been so successful in his career, it has allowed him to bring in quite a bit of money for chartering yachts.

Related:  Below Deck: The Crew's Salary & How Much They Make On The Show

According to Wealthy Genius , 71-year-old Captain Lee Rosbach has an estimated net worth of $800,000. On the other hand, Cinemaholic  estimates that his net worth is close to $1 million. Nonetheless, Captain Lee has clearly made a good chunk of change from working in the boating industry and on reality TV. Captain Lee was born and raised in Michigan where he practically grew up on boats. At the age of 25, he realized that he wanted to get away from the cold weather and move to a warmer climate. So he packed his bags and made his way down to Florida, which is where he still lives to this day. Before Captain Lee began his career in yachting, he owned and operated several restaurants in different states all over the country. He worked in states such as Indiana, Georgia, Florida, as well as the Caribbean island of Turks and Caicos as a restaurateur. Then, at the age of 35, Captain Lee decided to enter the world of yachting.

Once Lee's career took off , he began to make quite a bit of money working on yachts. In general, yacht captains tend to make a lot of money. It all just depends on their experience and the size of the boat. Captain Lee is reportedly making somewhere between $95,000 and $130,000 per year. He has been in the industry for almost 40 years and is part of a reality show on a popular network, so it is likely he makes closer to the higher amount than the lower. Plus, the captain and his crew usually get large tips from whoever is chartering the yacht. The salaries of the Bravo stars from Below Deck have yet to be disclosed on an official basis, but it is likely that they get paid well.

The job of managing a superyacht may be stressful and at times difficult, but the large paycheck at the end sure does make it all worthwhile.

Here's How Much Money The Cast Of Below Deck Makes

Below Deck star Captain Lee Rosbach, Kate Chastain, Ashton Pienaar

Working aboard the luxury yachts of Below Deck isn't like any other charter. As series stalwart and chief stew Kate Chastain revealed to Entertainment Tonight , the trips featured on the hit Bravo show typically last around two or three days, versus the usual weeklong voyages. Even so, Chastain was quick to note the crew puts in the equivalent of a week's work to ensure the experience is top-notch for their clients.

"We're working not just eight-hour shifts, it's like, we're working pretty much around the clock," she admitted. If you're wondering how much the Below Deck crew actually make in tips , well, it's no small sum, and usually lands somewhere in the several thousand dollar range. "On a yacht of that size, [a good tip] would be $5,000 a person, for seven days of work," Chastain said. And their working wages aren't bad either.

Below Deck-like charter crews make decent money

According to Crewfinders , a chief stew like Kate Chastain stands to earn between $62,000 and $75,000 per charter season on the kind of yacht featured on Below Deck , most of which are around the 150-foot range (via Worldwide Boat ). After that, second and third stews are still pulling in about $50,000 per season, chefs make anywhere between $52,000 and $72,000, a bosun will earn up to $52,000, deckhands will pull in between $40,000 to $52,000, and last but not least, a captain starts at $120,000. In fact, it's estimated that Captain Lee could make up to $210,000 per year , depending on the size of the boat he's manning.

Luxury Yacht Group has slightly different and potentially more impressive figures (depending on the position and how many months per year the crew works), advising an experienced captain can make up to $25,000 a month on similar sized boats, a chief stew up to $10,000 per month, a bosun up to $6,000 per month, deckhands up to $5,000 per month, stews up to $6,500 per month, and a chef up to $11,000 per month.

There are other major perks to being a Below Deck yachtie

Aside from the massive tips and generous wages, there are also some great perks to sailing the high seas as a yachtie. According to yacht crew recruitment company AYC ( via Starcasm ), crews earn a tax-free income, enjoy generous vacation allowances, and, naturally, the job involves living and working aboard a luxury yacht with zero monthly bills to worry about — it's a pretty sweet deal all round.

As for how much the cast makes for appearing on the show itself, producer Mark Cronin revealed during an AMA on Reddit that they only get a "small sum" for taking part. He also revealed that Below Deck is slightly more realistic than other so-called reality shows, saying, "The contract between the cast and me is: 'Please make us a great show that people will love — and please be fair in portraying who we are and what we do.'"

Below Deck crew members can easily build up their savings

It really is a dream job, if Below Deck Med star Colin Macy O'Toole is to be believed. The reality star told The Cheat Sheet if he could do it all over again, he'd start working in the industry even earlier. "I'd probably start right out of college at age 22 and then put in about five years of work on yachts," he said.

Macy-O'Toole advised that, if he'd done so, the savings would've been exponential, explaining, "Depending on where you live, you could even save enough money to buy a house." This chimes with what a chief stew previously revealed in one of Refinery 29 ' s Money Diaries, disclosing that, because she didn't have to pay taxes, saving up to $4,500 monthly was a piece of cake (from her annual salary of $72,000).

The Below Deck crew only has to work a few months a year if they choose

The work is hard but, as Below Deck 's own Ryhlee Gerber told The Cheat Sheet , if you're smart, you can reap the rewards. "Of course I'm very frugal and live a pretty minimalist lifestyle. But I was able to stretch the two months I worked on My Seanna on Below Deck, plus about 60 days working in Alaska," she advised, referring to another job working as a fishing boat captain in Alaska. That's four months of work for a year of living — not too shabby.

Gerber also hinted at certain perks being provided for the reality show crew, joking, "If I wanted $60 face cream, it would be paid for." Both she and Macy-O'Toole again stressed the travel side of the job, as it gives them the opportunity to see the world, while bosun João Franco pointed out yet another perk. "The more luxurious boats have a gourmet chef that will cook all crew food every single day! The fridges and pantries are stocked with an endless supply of all you can think of," he said.

All in all, it seems that being a yachtie has its fair share of benefits.

Buying 'Below Deck's Eros Will Take A Lot Of Cash

how much is the below deck yacht worth

When embarking on a marathon of Below Deck , it's common to wonder about what it's like to have enough cash to spend on a fancy yacht trip. While a week or two-long charter is nice and all, what about getting to take yacht trips whenever you want? Just how much does it cost to buy Eros ? Well, in its non- Below Deck form, the Eros actually goes by the name "Mustang Sally," and thanks to its many upgrades, improvements, and new reality TV fame, Yacht Charter World reports that it was recently sold for $17.9 million.

Obviously, there are not many people who can afford to spend that much for a mode of transportation that is essentially meant for vacation. But if by some crazy chance you did have $18 million lying around, I think throwing down for Eros is well worth the price. Seriously, if you're in the market for a way to spend your money, think of all the perks that come with owning a huge boat like Eros. First and foremost, you could live every day like it was an episode of Below Deck . But even if that's not enough, there are plenty of other reasons why owning the Eros would be a dream come true.

Unlimited Alcohol

I'm sure I've brought this up every single time I've written about Below Deck , but there's something about being on the ocean that just makes day drinking even more desirable. Is it the fresh sea breeze? Or just the fact that there's plenty of people to serve it to you who aren't allowed to judge? I'm not sure, but I can't think about Below Deck without thinking about mimosas. The only downside? You'd have to re-stock the bar pretty often.

Take As Many Charters As You Want

Hey, the more time you spend out on the seas, the more the yacht pays for itself. With each week-long charter valued at over $200,000, that means that you only need to go out on Eros (Mustang Sally) for eight to nine and a half weeks to pay off the $18 million you spent. That's a bargain!

You Can Switch Bedrooms Every Night For Over A Week

With 11 different bunks for the guests, if you choose to ride solo instead of bringing a crew of your closest friends on board, you can enjoy the varied accommodations for a week and a half. A new bed every night, with a crew (of up to 10 people) to make the previous night's for you.

You Can Enjoy Having A Staff At Your Beck & Call

If you want to max out the crew, you can bring up to ten people on board. And if you bring all of them, it will feel like being the upper class side of an upstairs-downstairs British drama. Just be warned that your crew is going to need payment — and they're going to want to be treated well if they'll be making all of your beds each night.

You Can Ask For Whatever You Want

In regular life, there's no one who will listen to your pleas for a foam party or watch you jetski or set up a huge inflatable slide for you. Actually, on second thought, if you just dropped $18 million on a yacht, you can probably get anyone to do anything you want, but there's something special about seeing it happen on a boat.

Take To The Seas & Become The World's Fanciest Pirate

I've always been drawn to the lifestyle of a pirate, but wish that it was possible to be a marauder who also showered regularly. If you buy the Eros, you can both sail the high seas with command of your crew (well, technically, the captain will have command of the crew, but you get the idea) and bathe. Buying the yacht from Below Deck may be out of reach for just about everyone, but if it's something you can afford, it certainly seems like a fun, if not practical, purchase.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Daisy Kelliher dishes Below Deck Sailing Yacht success, reveals if she still stalks to Gary King after scandal

Daisy Kelliher on BDS Season 4

Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher has dished about her success on the hit show ahead of Season 5.

Daisy has appeared on three seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht and helped turn the show around after a lackluster first season.

Despite a serious rift in the dream team trio of Colin, Daisy, and Gary following Season 4, fans still can’t get enough of them.

Ahead of her fourth stint on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Daisy has opened up about life following her success and how she ended up on the show.

Daisy lost her job during the COVID-19 pandemic and at the urging of friends, she applied to be on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Speaking with The Irish Independent, Daisy admitted that a couple of weeks after applying, she was filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 in Croatia.

Daisy Kelliher dishes Below Deck Sailing Yacht success

Although it may seem like Daisy’s life has changed drastically since she became a staple on the sailing franchise, she insists that’s not the case.

“My life hasn’t changed dramatically, but there have been small, subtle changes – it’s been fun,” she expressed to the outlet.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, one big change for Daisy is her new friendship with Hollywood A-list star Christina Applegate.

Daisy also looked back on her life since her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut, admitting she didn’t think she would get the gig, but is beyond happy she did.

“The last three years have been kind of a whirlwind, I really can’t complain. I’m getting to do all my yachting work and slowly getting to do other things as well,” Daisy stated.

With her fourth season hitting Bravo airwaves this year, one can’t help but wonder how much longer Daisy will still be on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

“I’m just being a ‘yes person’ at the moment. The last few years have changed very quickly, so my attitude right now is just saying yes and seeing where things take me,” Daisy spilled. “I’ve done everything from podcasts to the show, to still doing both, so every day is very different. I don’t know what the future holds right now.”

Along with opening up about her success on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Daisy also shared if she still speaks to Gary following sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Daisy Kelliher reveals if she still talks to Gary King

Last summer, Gary was accused of sexual misconduct by a production team member. However, even before that, Daisy and Gary were at odds over things that went down during Season 4, especially her hooking up with Colin.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans have wondered where Daisy and Gary stand today following the scandal and their fallout. After all, Gary was removed from BravoCon after the allegations against him came to light, so no resolution to his and Daisy’s friendship was revealed there.

During an Instagram Stories Q&A session, Daisy asked who she talks to from the show. Dani Soares and Gary were two names Daisy brought up immediately.

Daisy Kelliher IG Story

Although she did mention she keeps in touch with others like Alli Dore, Daisy also declared that they all simply live different lives. Daisy confirmed that no other cast members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht live in London, where she resides.

Daisy frequently hangs with Below Deck stars Fraser Olender and Hayley De Sola Pinto. She also spends time with Below Deck Med alum Courtney Veale since they live in London.

The wait to see Daisy Kelliher back on Below Deck Sailing Yacht won’t be much longer. Captain Glenn hinted at when the Parsifal III crew will be back, and you can read what he had to say here.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-4 are streaming on Peacock.

Private Chef Reveals Influencer's Morning Menu on $30k-a-Week Superyacht

W ouldn't we all love to wake up to the smell of breakfast waiting for us on the deck of a luxury boat sailing through the Caribbean? A private chef has revealed everything she cooks in the morning for her client on a yacht in the Bahamas in a clip that has gone viral on social media.

In the video , shared on TikTok on Wednesday under the username @lilydavison6, the poster, Lily Davison, shares a glimpse of her client's lavish lifestyle, laying out all the dishes she cooks before 9 a.m. for the Instagram influencer and their family onboard the Sailing Location catamaran, for which prices start at $30,000 for seven nights.

She starts with some bacon and a sliced fruit platter, followed by a batch of fresh blueberry pancakes. She then makes French toast with a specific type of coconut bread bought on the island that she cooks in the plancha grill on deck.

She told Newsweek : "It's hard work, long days and long hours but so worth it as I'm cooking in paradise which is my dream job."

Davison, who has been a private chef on a yacht for two years, says she's always loved cooking, and luckily for her, she had chefs in the family who helped her nurture her passion since she was a little girl.

"I got into the industry as I got a job vlogging on super yachts and whilst I was there, they asked me If I'd like to test run as a hostess on a yacht. I did the test run as a hostess but I ended up cooking every single meal and the guests said 'we didn't know we had a chef onboard'. That sparked my interest and decided to apply as a chef. I then got a job as a chef on my first boat but I didn't stay long as I got a call from Below Deck saying they were looking for a stew and asked if I was free.

"So I went on Below Deck and afterwards I got this job (where I am now on a catamaran in the Bahamas) and have been here for a year and half. And where I met my boyfriend Nik who is the captain."

Davison recently appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8, a reality TV show that follows the life of a group of crew members working on a superyacht during charter season.

" Below Deck is definitely real but it's a bit more dramatic compared to the real life of yachting due to the guests being way more demanding than in real life," she said about the show.

As if getting to do your dream job in a dream location wasn't enough, being a private chef on a yacht also allows for plenty of time to enjoy the place.

"We get lots of time in-between charters," she added. "We just had a three-week break in January, but we now are pretty full-on with back to back charters."

A caption shared along with the viral post says: "Yes this was all before 9 am."

As much as we'd all love a skilled private chef to cook our every meal, most of us have to cook our own food if we want to eat.

According to data shared by Statista, over 34 percent of Americans cook more than five times a week, while another 37 percent cook about three to five times a week, and only 8 percent cook less than once.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 1.2 million views and 52,000 likes on the platform.

One user, allieD, commented: "Do you get off time where you can swim or lay on the deck without them judging you and making you feel like you should be working?"

And Nikki Morris said: "Aaahhh I'm so happy I seen this love you Lily loved you on below the deck so happy for you beautiful."

When Season 2 of Below Deck premiered, there was a new Chief Steward on board named Kate Chastain . Kate was immediately a fan favorite. Her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude made for great television. She knew how to handle herself in any given situation.

While Kate had conflicts throughout her time on the series, they never got in the way of her work. Kate also had an excellent working relationship with Captain Lee Rosbach . She left Below Deck in 2020, so what is Kate Chastain’s net worth?

Kate Chastain made a name for herself and built her net worth on 'Below Deck.'

Kate’s humor knew no bounds during her time on Below Deck . She famously assigned fonts to her fellow Below Deck crew members , one of several iconic Kate moments. For example, she assigned herself Times New Roman because, as she explained, “It’s classic. It’s the traditional standard; it’s assertive.” Comic sans was the font that “no one takes too seriously,” which was assigned to Amy “Jo” Johnson. Luckily for fans of Kate’s hot-takes, she still makes appearances on Below Deck: Galley Talk .

Kate Chastain was so good on ‘The Traitors’ that she played the game twice.

Kate also appeared in season one of Peacock’s murder mystery game show, The Traitors . Kate stood out in the first season because of, once again, her no-nonsense attitude. She was the biggest suspect on everyone’s list in the first season despite being a Faithful. She came back to the series in the second season as a surprise guest and was initially assigned to be a Faithful again until Phaedra Parks recruited her to become a Traitor in the final stretch of the game.

Kate Chastain

Reality TV Personality

Net worth: 300,000

Kate Chastain is a TV personality who first appeared on Below Deck as the Chief Steward.

Birthdate: Jan. 2, 1983

Birthplace: Melbourne Beach, Fla.

Children: Sullivan Cay (10 months)

Kate is still in the ‘Below Deck’ family thanks to ‘Below Deck: Galley Talk’

Even though Kate left the show in 2020, she still appears regularly on Below Deck: Galley Talk . Galley Talk brings past “yachties,” who also happen to be popular with the fans, to watch the newest episode. They watch and comment on what happens in the episode and provide their unfiltered opinions on the current cast drama. Kate was a natural choice for the show, and thankfully, she was willing to join the party. She also spends time sharing cute videos and pictures of her son, Sullivan.

What’s Kate Chastain up to now?

After essentially self-eliminating herself in the second season of The Traitors , Kate keeps busy with her young son, Sullivan Cay . She is a proud single mom and she's able to raise her son the way that she wants to. When Kate was on WWHL after her pregnancy was first announced, she said, “I'm doing it solo and perhaps with some help, but I'm happy to do it alone." Kate has shared that she is open to having more children in the future, but for now, it's just her and little Sullivan.

A Great Chief Stew Keeps 'Below Deck' Afloat

We love our 'Below Deck' Chief Stews!

The Big Picture

  • Chief Stews like Kate Chastain keeps Below Deck exciting with vibrant personalities and skills.
  • Fans have seen stews rise to become chief stews, like Aesha Scott and Fraser Olender.
  • The chief stew is essential to the success of the franchise, serving as the lifeline of the charter season.

While the captain may be steering the boat, it's the chief stew that keeps the yacht going! On Below Deck and its various spin-offs, fans have always taken a liking to Chief Stew. Whether it's figuring out how to make the impossible possible or handling the worst of the worst guests, the chief stew keeps Below Deck exciting . Some of the best in the reality show franchise have included Kate Chastain , Aesha Scott , and Fraser Olender . Their vibrancy and skills have kept viewers coming back for more , and dreaming of a chance to attend one of their amazing yacht parties!

Since the flagship series debuted on Bravo in 2013, Below Deck has been a fans' chance to get an inside glimpse of work life on the high seas. Spawning four spin-off series, Below Deck has been sailing strong as one of the top franchises on the network. Each series follows a crew of yachties as they spend a season chartering the highfalutin through exotic and picturesque locales. Displaying the on and off the super yacht antics, fans have fallen in love with the various cast members who have brought their work to the screen. Each charter features a captain who leads the crew. The exterior team comprises a bosun, sometimes a first officer, and a handful of deckhands. In the interior, the team comprises a series of stewardesses or stewards, led by the chief stewardess, lovably known as the chief stew. Throughout the various series of Below Deck , fans often have found their closest bond to the chief stew as they tend to be the most hands-on with the charter guests, handling their wild and outlandish requests. As proven season after season, a good chief stew keeps the ship's sanity and the program sailing. And it seems the c hief stews with the longest tenures have stood the test of time thanks to their rapport with both the crew and the guests , all while maintaining a confident and professional demeanor.

Kate Chastain Is the Gold Standard of Chief Stews Across 'Below Deck'

Even though Captain Lee Rosbach has been the longest-lasting cast member in the Below Deck cinematic universe, it is Kate Chastain who has seemingly been the face of the franchise. And for good reason! Joining the crew during Below Deck Season 2, Kate didn't necessarily have big shoes to fill. Like any great reality television program, the first season of the franchise had some major growing pains to overcome. As viewers had to learn just how life on a super yacht works, they were introduced to a cast of characters that were tasked to balance work and filming a reality show. In Season 1, fans saw the interior led by Adrienne Gang , who spent the season struggling to cement power among her team and bond with the rest of the yachties. She was super serious and often lacked a personal connection. In the real world, she would likely be a top tier hire, but she just didn't click for the program. For Season 2, she was replaced with Kate, and while it took some time for her to grow a working relationship with Captain Lee and Chef Ben Robinson , fans were taken by her snark and her ability to keep things exciting. Maybe she didn't always do things appropriately. Just look back at the "rocket ship" blanket. What she did was keep things entertaining for the guests and the fans.

Kate Chastain has become the gold standard for Chief Stews on Below Deck , no matter which version. Though she has passed her stripes over to new stews, Kate was a part of the flagship program from Season 2 through Season 7. Season after season, Kate has had a revolving door of stews working for her. And not all of them were the best. Kate was determined to be a professional manager, even if her employees could not work at her standards. Kate has had some gold star stews. While she did have a rocky start with Amy Johnson on Below Deck Season 2, they were a formidable pair a season later. Emily Warburton-Adams was a saint for Kate during Season 4. Despite some distractions during Season 5, Brianna Adekeye was the dream 2nd Stew for Kate. But her greatest bond was with a male stew on Season 6, Josiah Carter , who was a professionally trained butler. But for every Amy, Emily, Brianna, or Josiah, Kate suffered with some drama queens. It seems that for every good stew, there was one bad stew on the interior. How Kate was able to keep sane while handling Rocky Dakota in Season 3 is anybody's guess. Had there not been so much drama with the sudden crew turnaround,

Kate Had Run-insWith both Crew and Guests

Rocky would likely have been fired. Instead, Kate bit her tongue as best she could while Rocky stepped in as chef, pouring grenadine on oysters, becoming a boy magnet, toying with ever-so-sweet Emile Kotze , and being a homewrecker to fan favorite Eddie Lucas ' relationship. Season 5 was a season of unfortunate mistakes, as a good portion of the crew lacked experience. And such was the case with Jennifer Howell . Jen, a wonderful mother, was quite lazy and did nothing but irk Kate, who was forced to micromanage everything Jen needed to do. With Josiah being a near-perfect employee for Kate, she had trouble with 3rd Stew Caroline Bedol . Between her bed rest due to her foot injury and giving a two-day notice that turned into a few hours, Caroline was more of a burden and couldn't handle the pressure. Sadly for Kate, Caroline was replaced by Laura Betancourt , who was nothing but a know-it-all and tried to go toe-to-toe with Kate, who immediately put her in her place. Her previous Chief Stew status was nothing on Kate. No matter who Kate had on her team, she managed to succeed, charter after charter. Captain Lee adored Kate, trusting her with everything that needed to be done.

Viewers Should Pay Attention to 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'

Whether it was the Caribbean or Tahiti, Kate was faced with some of the most incredulous charter guests. And some of those guests came back for more! Part of why these wealthy guests had a desire to return was the experience on board. Their onboard experience can only be credited to the work that Kate and her various teams provided. Oftentimes, she was able to make the impossible possible. One of the most prominent recurring guests was the infamous Dean Slover . Of course, Kate and Mr. Slover came to form their love-hate bond thanks to her phallic-shaped folded blanket on his bed. While Captain Lee was furious and was fearful that it would lead to a reduced tip, Dean Slover was a lover of the joke, and expected an artistic gift on his bed during every charter he was on. He became her charter soulmate as they developed a shorthand.

Unlike Chef Ben who was always receiving a lashing due to the specifically timed meals. Parties are essential on charters. Most of the time they were reasonable, but when the foam wasn't foaming, Kate had to make it up. His appearance in Season 3 was a headache for the crew, so when his name came up during the Season 6 preference sheet meeting, Kate was already prepared. Despite that, his rowdy and demanding behavior resulted in another problematic trip. His flirtatious nature went beyond appropriate, and Kate sadly let her stew stay in the line of fire. No matter what, she's Kate the Great! And Below Deck fans were saying," we told you so," after her two-season star turn on The Traitors .

Fans Have Watched Stews Turn Into Chief Stews Before Their Eyes

Rising in the ranks is true in any industry. Not every chief stew starts on Below Deck in the top position. Fans have been allowed to watch some of their favorites develop on the show, and turn into stews before their eyes as they are hired as chief stews on future seasons, or even future franchises! One of the absolute fan-favorite cast members in the Below Deck cinematic universe is Aesha Scott . The bubbly and high-energy New Zealander first came to fame in the fourth season of Below Deck Mediterranean . She was a hard worker, dedicated to her craft. However she did find love on the open seas. And when trouble was bubbling under the water in Season 5, Aesha was called in to serve as a replacement. As a fan favorite, Aesha was tapped to lead her own Below Deck spin off, serving as the chief stew for seasons 1 and 2 of Below Deck Down Under .

Now at the top of the Stew food chain, Aesha, once again, proved why she is one of the most beloved yachties in Below Deck history. Aesha was personable with everyone, even if she had a troublemaker in the galley with Chef Ryan McKeown . Her bond with Captain Jason Chambers mirrored the close bond Kate Chastain had with Captain Lee. Fans often speculated a budding romance between Aesha and Captain Jason. It was a relationship they wanted to ship off the ship. Aesha was a team player and encouraged the best from her team. She was so strong at her job, she even brilliantly trained a future chief stew, Tumi Mhlongo , who would journey over to Below Deck Mediterranean for Season 8. Though unlike Aesha, Tumi was much stricter, turning off some Below Deck fans in the process.

Andy Cohen Is Right, Don't Come On 'Housewives' If You Have Something to Hide

Below Deck reflects the real world of yachting, displaying what life aboard a yacht might be like in the real world. In general, gender roles play greatly into the employment of certain positions in the yachting industry. On Below Deck Mediterranean , Captain Sandy Yawn was the ferocious first female captain in the Below Deck franchise. She came in with a purpose, to prove that it doesn't have to be in a male-dominated position. While Below Deck did have male stewards, history was made during Season 10 when Fraser Olender became the first male chief stew. And he has proven that he is the official new face of the flagship franchise. Originally joining the crew as a second stew during Season 9, Fraser proved his worth and his ability, so that Captain Lee invited him to serve as the chief stew on the St. David. As fans remember, Captain Lee had a difficult tenth season as he struggled with some severe nerve issues. He had to temporarily leave the charter season to get better. And who better to serve as his substitute than Captain Sandy?

Even though both Captain Sandy and Fraser were groundbreaking when it came to historic hires for Below Deck , they were at odds often during her tenure. She even broke him down to the point where he seemed like a sad puppy trying to do right. Despite that, Fraser was a seasoned professional and ensured that his guests had the best experiences possible. Fraser has an impeccable work ethic, yet still finds a way to entertain himself and his fellow crew. His bond with Chef Rachel Hargrove and stew Haley De Sola Pinto always found a way to let steam off, enjoying the experience in the process. He may not be as strict as Kate was, but like Kate, he's had some terrible stews under him. He somehow managed to handle the mess that was Camille Lamb and Alissa Humber drama during Season 10. For Below Deck , Season 11 was a major transition season as it marked the first season without Captain Lee fully at the helm. Captain Kerry Titheradge transitioned over from Below Deck Adventure to take over. With a new captain, it made sense that Fraser returned as Chief Stew. Below Deck is in more than capable hands with Fraser Olender. His legacy is just beginning.

Below Deck is a beloved Bravo series. And it's thanks to some of the brilliant characters the fans have met along the way. In the history of the franchise, there have been many more other Chief Stews that have been monumental and could easily be discussed in this article. Good thing that the franchise isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Without a great Chief Stew, the charter season would fail. And with a failed season, comes a bad season on Below Deck . The chief stew is the lifeline of the franchise.

Below Deck airs on Mondays on Bravo. It's available to stream on Peacock the next day.
