Season 9 of the outstandingly successful Bravo franchise Below Deck is back with a bang, and set to premiere on October 25. And a brand new spectacular trailer following the latest antics of charters guests and crew onboard 56m (185ft) superyacht STARSHIP (aka MY SEANNA) in St Kitts and Nevis has just been released.  This represents the third season which the impressive Delta Marina charter yacht has featured, appearing in season 6, 8 and 9.

Will this be the last season on Below Deck for superyacht STARSHIP (aka MY SEANNA)?

The exceptional motor yacht STARSHIP (aka MY SEANNA) is one of the most iconic yachts to appear on the franchise alongside motor yacht VALOR (aka BG) which has also been featured for three seasons (4,5 and 7). Boasting 6 cabins for 12 guests, she is the paradigm of ideal indoor/outdoor living. Her highlights including an outstanding beach club, sundeck sauna and gym, touch-and-go helipad plus an excellent selection of water toys.

But season 9 may mark this splendid vessel's last appearance, as superyacht STARSHIP was sold in July 2021.

The newly released trailer gives a teaser of what's to come in this nail-biting series. Tensions are evidently high as Captain Lee Rosbach (who has been at the helm of every yacht on Below Deck) is shown to be briefly replaced by another Captain as the crew boards their St. Kitts charter.

Eddie Lucas — who now has the title of First Officer — returns to the series, as does Chef Rachel Hargrove. However, the rest of the crew is completely new.

This season, Below Deck takes place in St Kitts and Nevis for the first time. Docking at the majestic Christophe Harbour known for its picture-perfect mountain backdrop, superyacht STARSHIP mainly cruised in Majors Bay, Ballast Bay and Whitehouse Bay during filming.

Below Deck season nine: Everything you need to know about the superyacht charter show

With season nine of Bravo's superyacht charter TV Show, Below Deck , approaching its finale, BOAT breaks down everything you need to know about the new TV series, from filming locations to the crew serving as the season nine cast...

What is Below Deck ?

Below Deck is a reality TV series documenting the lives of superyacht crew members working on board a luxury charter yacht. From fires in the galley to demanding requests from guests, the hit TV show has pulled back the curtain on the private lives of superyacht charters and the crew that work on them. The series has also spawned a number of spin-off shows, including Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht and other new series set to premiere in 2022 .

Which yacht is in Below Deck season nine?

My Seanna , which has previously appeared in season six and season eight of Below Deck , has returned as the star of season nine. Following her sale earlier in 2021 , the Delta Marine superyacht has now been renamed Starship . The 56.4 metre motor yacht was delivered in 2000 to a design by Glade Johnson and can host up to 12 guests and 11 members of crew.

Where is Below Deck season nine filmed?

The idyllic island of St Kitts serves as the filming location for season nine of Below Deck . The larger of two islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis , the island is located in the West Indies and is an up and coming winter hub for superyachts. In recent years, visitors to its warm waters have included 88 metre Maltese Falcon , 86 metre Aquijo sit and 74 metre Plvs Vltra .

Who are the crew on Below Deck season nine?

Season nine has seen a mix of returning cast members and new crew members on board My Seanna . In an unusual turn of events, this season features two captains, as beloved star Captain Lee Rosbach is temporarily replaced at the beginning of the season by Captain Sean Meagher.

Returning crew for this season include chef Rachel Hargrove and first mate Eddie Lucas, while the rest of the cast features new faces. The interior crew is made up of chief stew Heather Chase, stewardess Jessica Albert and steward Fraser Olender. Meanwhile Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay and Wes O'Dell are working as the deckhands on board.

How can I watch Below Deck season nine?

A new episode of Below Deck season nine airs on Bravo every Monday at 21:00 ET. Episodes can also be streamed the next day via Peacock TV and a variety of other services including Hayu, Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Below Deck' s Captain Kerry admits Ben Willoughby wasn't his first pick for bosun: 'He may not make the whole season'

"Ben wasn't my first choice to be in that position, but he does know the boat well," Captain Kerry tells EW.

Newly crowned bosun Ben Willoughby may have felt like the last Below Deck docking was rainbows and sunshine, but dark clouds are on the way.

Captain Kerry Titheradge reveals exclusively to Entertainment Weekly that not only was the former lead deckhand not his first choice for bosun , but Ben's future isn't locked in on St. David.

"Ben wasn't my first choice to be in that position, but he does know the boat well. He's very good at his job, but he definitely needs to stay focused and understand what the chain of command means," Captain Kerry says.

Also, firing bosun Jared Woodin immediately before a new charter meant that someone from the deck team would need to lead. "He knew the boat well. I didn't know the boat," Captain Kerry says about Ben. "I used to live by a mantra that you can teach a job, but not a personality. And I think if you can treat someone differently, maybe they might not be the ideal personality for the job. But at the time, I needed the right skillset for the job, and that's what he had."

But Captain Kerry adds a teaser that could be a harbinger of tension to come. "I had a lot of faith in him to do that job. But you'll see in the episode as well, more than once, I said, 'Are you up for this?' I mean, I think three times I asked him," Captain Kerry recalls. "And the last time you could see his face, he was sick of being asked a question. And that might give you an idea of the future discussions I'll be having with him."

Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

A possible future discussion could involve Ben's boatmance with deckhand Marie "Sunny" Marquis. Did Captain Kerry know about the bubbling flirtation?

"That was part of the conversation I had with him about having to act different amongst the other crew. I wasn't officially aware," Captain Kerry says. But he was aware of Ben's messy love triangle from last season: "I was aware of his history in his position," the captain adds. "I give everyone a fresh start. Hopefully people react differently to different styles of leadership. And I was hoping that he would react to a different style of leadership later in the season more than once. He came quite close to things not being very good for him. And he may not make the whole season."

Could this neatly tied bowline start to unravel?

Bravo’s reality series Below Deck returns for its ninth season this October but with a new captain at the wheel.

A trailer (watch below) for the upcoming season reveals that Captain Lee Rosbach will not be part of the crew this year, leaving his first officer Eddie Lucas out in the deep end. “I have a condition,” Rosbach says over the phone. “The whole boat is your ballgame now,” he tells Lucas, who responds, “F*** my life.”

In Rosbach’s place is Captain Sean Meagher, who takes over management duties on the superyacht My Seanna, and it’s safe to say he has a more “hands-on” approach than his predecessor.

“We’re leaving the dock with a new captain, new crew, tensions are high,” Lucas says in the teaser clip.

Returning alongside Lucas is chef Rachel Hargrove, who has had her fair share of clashes with the first officer in seasons past. And judging by the trailer, the issues are still unresolved between the pair. During a heated confrontation, Hargrove tells Lucas, “Alarming things were said on your behalf, viciously attacking my integrity and character.”

Joining Lucas and Hargrove are new yachties, including chief stewardess Heather Chase, stews Jessica Albert and Fraser Olender, and deckhands Jake Foulger, Rayna Lindsay and Wes O’Dell.

Below Deck premiered on Bravo in 2013 and has become the network’s most-watched franchise. The popularity of the show led to two spinoffs, Below Deck Sailing Yacht and the upcoming Below Deck Down Under, which was picked up by Peacock in May 2021.

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Screen Rant

9 below deck franchise deckhands who came off as lazy.

A few deckhands have left the Below Deck franchise because they were unable to meet the high work standards, appearing careless and inattentive.

  • Laura Bileskalne and Lexi Wilson are examples of bad Below Deck stews who preferred socializing over working hard.
  • Robert Westergaard was preoccupied with personal matters, which hindered his performance as a deckhand.
  • Crew members like Benny Crawley and Max Salvador had bad attitudes - they weren't team players.

Below Deck has featured some interesting deckhands over the years, some of whom weren't good fits for their jobs. Over the years, many unworthy cast members have appeared on the Bravo series. One such name was Laura Bileskalne from Below Deck Down Under . The former Stew was terrible at her job and didn’t respect personal boundaries. Aesha Scott even accused her of caring less about the work and more about her appearance. Ultimately, Captain Jason Chambers did what was necessary to keep his yacht afloat. He fired Laura for her inappropriate behavior and bad manners.

In Below Deck Mediterranean season 3, Lexi Wilson was another horrible Stew. She lacked professionalism and had a poor work ethic, which prevented her from performing her duties. She also prioritized less meaningful things like socializing over caring for the guests, showing that she was a dysfunctional team member. Camille Lamb from Below Deck season 2 was no better. She'd tangle with her crew mates, creating unnecessary drama. Camille was such a bad worker that she never met her deadlines.

Ultimately, Captain Sandy Yawn fired her for being unsuitable for her stewardess position.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

9 robert westergaard, below deck mediterranean.

Like some of the stews, a few deckhands weren't exactly great at their jobs. Robert Westergaard from Below Deck Mediterranean season 5 was somewhat of a mixed bag. He was preoccupied with other things, rather than really caring about his job. Rob pursued Jessica More and didn’t seem very focused on his work. The Bravo cameras also captured him texting his ex-girlfriend and struggling to build romantic relationships . If he'd boarded the yacht with a work-oriented mindset, Rob might have achieved his potential.

Unfortunately, it seemed like he was there to have a post-breakup trip.

8 Ben “Benny” Crawley

Below deck down under.

Benny Crawley was in Below Deck Down Under season 1. He looked good initially, but was atrocious at his deckhand job. Benny’s issues were related to his insubordination. He wasn’t a good team player and wanted to work on his own. He also argued a lot with former bosun Jamie Sayed. The worst thing about Benny was his inability to commit to the tasks and do his job properly. The young man crossed the line when he declined Captain Jason’s disco ball helmet, showing he was too lazy to have fun. Benny didn’t respect the hierarchy.

On a yacht, the crew has to respect the chain of command.

7 Culver Bradbury

Culver Bradbury’s subpar performance as a deckhand will always be remembered. When the Maryland man debuted in the franchise, he proclaimed himself the “Chief Entertainment Officer.” His actions on the show, especially his brief romantic connections with Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Jaimee Neale, showed that he was simply not ready to work. When João Franco returned to the series in season 2, even he noticed Culver’s laziness . He called him out for his unimpressive performance and flippant demeanor. All of Culver’s crew members felt he lacked leadership skills. Still, Culver somehow became the interim bosun due to Luke Jones’ sudden exit.

6 Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

Below deck sailing yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht ’s Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux had a fancy name but wasn’t a good deckhand. The former Bravo star didn’t have the skills or the desire to do his job. He often neglected his duties. At one point, Captain Glenn Shephard allowed Jean to prove his competence while dealing with a dangerous situation. However, he missed the opportunity. Per Reality Tea , Kate Chastain threw shade at Jean by implying that he wasn’t smart. Dani Soares has also claimed Jean isn’t stepping up as a father to their baby.

Below Deck: 8 Reasons Why Captain Lee Rosbach Will Never Return To The Show

5 tom pearson.

Tom Pearson was a deckhand in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3. He had a major drinking problem that made him seem like a mean person. Besides his immature attitude, Tom was irresponsible and unprepared to work on a luxury yacht. He was rude to other crew members, including Ashley Marti and Gary King. Captain Glenn gave Tom endless chances, but things blew up when Tom messed up while anchor-watching. To make matters worse, he didn’t own up to his mistakes in time, pushing Captain Glenn to send him home where he belonged.

4 Parker McCown

Parker McCown was never a good deckhand because he couldn’t follow orders. He was too lazy to use common sense - Parker messed up a lot of tasks. When Paget Berry told Parker to organize a beach picnic, he used a shovel to hurl the rocks around the beach. The strategy made no sense and showed how little attention Parker paid to his senior’s instructions . When Jenna MacGillivray asked Parker about it, he had a bad attitude. He snapped at her because she asked a simple question, pushing Captain Glenn to intervene. Parker left Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 1 in episode 12.

3 Max Salvador

At first, Max Salvador seemed like the perfect guy for his deckhand job. However, it didn’t take long for the crew members to realize he had a massive ego and lazy attitude. Max constantly complained about others and yacht life. He whined about not getting enough breaks from work, argued with his bosun, and created unnecessary drama. He also rubbed Captain Sandy the wrong way when he needlessly griped about food because he didn’t want to eat what was on the boat. From Lara Du Preez to Haleigh Gorman, most crew members felt Max was shiftless.

2 Shane Coopersmith

Below Deck 's Shane Coopersmith was the highlight of season 8, as he was dubbed the laziest crew member. He wasn’t just bad at his job - he had trouble maintaining a proper schedule outside of work. Shane didn’t respect his job enough to get adequate rest. The lack of sleep caused him to take naps during work, eventually hindering his performance as a deckhand. After fair warnings, the bosun just didn’t know how else to motivate Shane. Therefore, Eddie Lucas fired Shane in episode 7, sending him home to think about what he did wrong.

10 Below Deck Charter Guests Who Will Never Return To The Franchise

1 danny zureikat.

Danny Zureikat was the king of being lazy at his job. The former deckhand broke too many rules in Below Deck Mediterranean season 1 and was fired for being inappropriate. Danny’s biggest issue was treating his Below Deck gig like a vacation. The young man had no boundaries and wanted to hook up with the guests. He was also addicted to using his phone and rarely put it down. In episode 12, the crew had enough of Danny, who was a bad influence . Captain Mark Howard had to step in and cut the Below Deck d eckhand’s supposed bachelor’s trip short.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Episode 9 Recap: Diamonds Go Missing on the Love Boat

When last we left Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae were in each other’s arms in the stairwell, sharing a passionate kiss. And they’re still there! A whole week later. That must have been some kiss.

After kicking Junior Stew Madison “Mads” Herrera out of their shared cabin to rejoin First Mate Gary King in the guest cabin, Daisy and Colin squeezed into Daisy’s bunk together. “You really turn me on,” Daisy whispered to Colin.

“Daisy and I have always been flirty,” admitted Colin in an interview. “I’ve had girlfriends the last two seasons, so nothing was acted on or even really thought about. But in all honesty, I kind of feel like it was only a matter of time in some ways.”

“I don’t know what’s going through Daisy’s head right now,” he continued. “But I’m picking up what she’s putting down.”

The morning after the night of passion

below deck sailing yacht season 9

The next morning, Gary told Mads, “I’m glad you came back.”

She told him, “Yeah because f***ing Colin went into my cabin with Daisy.” And Gary was all, “Whaaaaaat?” So of course, he immediately went off to find the engineer to get the full scoop.

Finding the guilty party trying to catch a few more winks in their cabin, he asked, “Did you hook up with Daisy last night?”

Colin tried to play innocent, “What? Who said that?”

“Okay,” Gary admitted in an interview. “I didn’t see that coming. Mom and Dad?”

In the crew mess, Alex Propson was having breakfast. Gary ragged him for interrupting his and Madison’s intimate moment. “Thanks for coming into the cabin last night,” Gary told him. “That was a dick move, man. F***ing hell.” But he was laughing while he said it.

Alex blamed it on the engineer. “It was Colin’s idea,” he claimed. “He was on a mission.” Yeah, because Alex was probably too drunk to think of it himself.

“Was he?” Gary mused, adding, “To make sure we were not coming back to the cabin so he could hook up with Daisy?” Uh oh, Gary’s already a little jealous.

Meanwhile, Colin had already returned to Daisy’s cabin. “Room service,” Colin teased. “How are you?”

“The minute I met Colin two years ago,” Daisy said in an interview, “I was like, ‘Oh, he’s hot.’ But obviously, I’ve never known Colin single either … I mean, it was a good kiss.”

Prodded by a producer to “give us more than that,” Daisy finally giggled, “Yeah, there’s definitely a lot of sexual energy there.”

Still not speaking to Chase

below deck sailing yacht season 9

Following his oafish behavior of the night before when a drunken Chase Lemacks had asked if he could “drink tequila between your boobies tonight,” stewardess Lucy Edmunds wanted nothing to do with Chase and totally ignored him. “You can’t just f*** up and then try and talk to me,” Lucy said. “He’s a f***ing wanker.” I’m not sure Chase had any clue what he’d done to make Lucy so pissed off at him.

After cleaning up all the detritus of the night before, the crew set about general cleaning and preparing the Parsifal III for the next charter. Making beds in one of the guest cabins, Mads told Lucy, “I went back with Gary, and we just cuddled all night and then had sex at some point.”

“Oh fab,” Lucy commented. “Was it good?” Mads admitted that it was, as they continued cleaning. A little idle workplace chatter always makes the day go faster, right?

Colin gets Gary’s blessing

below deck sailing yacht season 9

As they were putting the finishing touches on the boat’s engine repairs, Colin asked Gary, “You reckon I f***ed up by hooking up with Daisy [last night]? I don’t know if it was a good move, bro.”

Gary responded. “I like Daisy a lot. I’ve got a lot of time for her.”

“But do you ‘like her’ like her?” Colin wanted to know.

“No, I don’t know,” Gary said. “No, no, no, not like that. I thought I did, but I’m quite happy you guys hooked up. I would love you guys to date.” Well, that’s generous of him.

“Are you upset that we hooked up?” Colin asked, trying to make sure his friend wasn’t mad at him. “I didn’t get the feeling that you liked her,” Colin added. What gave you that idea, Colin? Could it be the way Gary went after every other girl on the boat?

“No no no,” Gary answered. “I thought coming into the season [that I did] … but [that was] before she told me to stay away from her. I thought there was chemistry there, but I don’t think she’s the one for me.”

So from their conversation, Colin surmised, “What [his mouth]’s telling me is there’s a green light, but what his face is telling me is another thing. But I feel like him and I are good enough friends for him to tell me if that wasn’t the case.”

“Wait, be honest with me,” Colin pressed. “Do you like Daisy? You’ve got that look in your eye.”

Insisting that he only liked Daisy “as a friend,” Gary stuck to his story. “No, I’m just quite happy that you guys hooked up. To be honest, I think, um … if you want to go for it, go for it, bru.” So there you have it. Gary gave Colin his blessing .

Captain Glenn calls a preference sheet meeting

below deck sailing yacht season 9

As Gary and Colin were settling their ownership rights to Daisy, Captain Glenn Shephard called for Gary, Daisy and Chef Ileisha Dell to meet him in the crew mess for the next charter’s preference sheet meeting. When Gary slid into the bench seat next to Daisy, he gave her a smug smile, like, “I know what you’ve been up to.”

“Looks like we have lovely ladies joining us this time,” Glenn announced. The primary guest was a professional woman celebrating her retirement with three of her best girlfriends. They requested to be treated “like royalty” while on board, “with a fruity drink always in hand.”

“I like cooking for a bunch of ladies,” Ileisha said. “And only four of them? Like, what am I, on vacation? Love that for me!” Hopefully, she’s right. This crew needs an easy charter.

Gary and Daisy have a heart to heart

below deck sailing yacht season 9

Immediately after the meeting, Gary met up with Daisy on the flybridge for a smoke break. “Buongiorno,” he greeted her. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m okay now,” she told him. “It was f***ing rough waking up.”

“It was a fun night, though,” Gary said.

Daisy got right to the point. “What do you think of me and Colin kissing each other?”

“I think it’s really nice,” Gary told her. “I think there’s definitely some chemistry there between you two.”

“I’m more asking you,” Daisy continued, “because we’ve kissed, and we’re still friends.”

“It’s a little bit of a weird time,” Gary admitted. “Maybe there’s a little bit of jealousy there, but then I can’t really say that because, yes, I did hook up with Madison.”

“Why are you jealous?” Daisy wanted to know. So is Daisy still interested in Gary? What’s this about?

“I don’t know,” Gary answered. “I thought we had a moment, but I think about it and it’s like, where’s it going to go? I’ve had a little chat to Colin about it, and I said, ‘I think I’ve always liked Daisy.’ I’m not going to deny the fact that [feelings are] there.”

“Yeah, but this kind of bothers me,” Daisy fired back. “Like you can’t even tell me that you have feelings for me?”

below deck sailing yacht season 9

“Maybe that’s it,” Gary admitted. “Maybe I’m a coward in that sense, and I’m too scared to see what your reaction is going to be, so I’m happy to tell everyone else about it because it’s how I feel. And I’m just too scared to tell you.”

“In what f***ing warped zone am I in right now?” Daisy asked in a production interview. “I can’t believe he realized he has feelings for me now that he’s seeing me with someone else. Come on! I think Gary’s upset that I’m not his backup. So f***ing annoying!”

“I couldn’t pursue you because I just thought … my chances weren’t there,” Gary admitted. “Especially when you told me to stay away from you. I was heartbroken by that comment, really. We don’t get to explore that, you know?”

“We don’t get to explore it because you’re in a relationship with my roommate,” Daisy replied. “Gary, I don’t know what you want me to tell you. After you kiss Madison, what, you want to come over to me and see which one you have more chemistry with? You didn’t give any room. I kissed Colin last night. We’re three weeks into the season. You’ve been hooking up with Madison for the last three weeks.”

At this point, socially awkward Chase strolled in and chirped, “Is this private? Or not?” And that was the end of the conversation, as Gary said he had to go and made a hasty retreat.

Afterward, Gary commented in an interview, “I think that sexual tension between Daisy and I is always going to be there until we have sex.” In your dreams, buddy. You had your chance.

“But now, all of a sudden, Daisy’s hooking up with Colin,” he added. “You snooze you lose. Sh**!”

Daisy and Colin catch up

below deck sailing yacht season 9

“How are you feeling about last night?” Colin asked, “Because we were f***ing wasted.”

“Do you regret kissing me?” Daisy asked him.

“Not at all,” Colin said. “What makes you say that?”

“I’m not somebody that just hooks up with people,” Daisy told him.

“So where do we go from here?” Colin wanted to know.

“I’m not thinking too much about it,” Daisy lied. It’s ALL she’s thought about all day, for sure.

“Obviously keep it professional,” Colin commented. “None of this PDS sh** in front of all the crew.”

“We’ll see what happens,” Daisy said, as she stretched a foot out to rest in Colin’s lap.

“Not in public!” he protested. “Oh, my God, stop it!” What did he just say about PDA, Daisy? But all she did was giggle. I think Daisy likes Colin. I do, too (even though I’m married). He’s so much more mature and reliable than flighty, flirty Gary.

And the crew had an early night since the charter guests would arrive the next morning.

The crew greets the new guests

below deck sailing yacht season 9

Hopefully, this would be an easy charter, as there were only four guests to entertain. “What a handsome crew!” one of the ladies exclaimed, as they shook hands with everyone.

When one of the ladies complained that she didn’t really like champagne (Philistine!), Daisy asked if she would like something else. “Fresh fruit martinis, please,” and Daisy made sure they got them before taking them on a tour of the boat.

Chase complained that they had a lot of luggage to be loaded onto the boat, but Gary told him, “Yes, but they’re ladies, and you know what ladies are like.” Oh really, Gary? And what are we like then? To be fair, it was explained to me that most of these charter guests have packed for a full European vacation, only part of which will take place on the Parsifal III. They didn’t just pack for a couple of days.

When Chase found out the guests were from South Carolina, he immediately knew how to behave. “Growing up in the South, I know what these ladies want,” he said. “It’s the way I greet them. ‘Yes, ma’am, my pleasure.’ They see it as manners, but I might be a little taste of home [for them].” He’s not wrong. Finally, Chase has found his comfort zone.

As Lucy brought the ladies more fruity cocktails, the primary explained that the four of them had been roommates in college. And still friends after all these years! How sweet is that?

Meanwhile, Ileisha thought she had these ladies’ MO. “I can tell that these ladies are classy,” she said, “and that they would appreciate something Southern. I’m kind of catering to their flavors, but then putting my twist on it.” To go with their fruity cocktails, Ileisha prepared homemade Parmesan crisps, melon balls with mint and mini crepes with smoked salmon. Sounds yummy!

Captain advised everyone to prepare for sailing, so Daisy instructed her crew to make sure everything was stowed securely when the boat started heeling (not “keeling,” as one of the guests called it). “This is so incredible,” one of the women sighed, watching the sails go up.

In the meantime, Colin informed Daisy, “Tomorrow is Gary’s birthday. We can get his face printed out and then just at the end of the day tomorrow, we all just say, ‘Happy birthday, Gary!'” Daisy said she had balloons and stuff, and before they go out (after the guests are gone), they can have birthday cake and a drink to celebrate.

A 70s disco-themed party

below deck sailing yacht season 9

When the guests went down to their cabins to get ready for dinner, the crew started to prep their costumes for the evening. The guests requested a 70’s theme disco party, so Daisy sorted through outfits for her stews.

“I had a lot of fun in the 70s,” Glenn said. “The 70s were great. I remember sneaking into discos. And I had frizzy hair. And so I used to brush it up into an Afro. It was big.” Somehow Bravo producers got hold of a picture of Afro Glenn from the 70s. He did have a lot of hair.

“That is shagadelic,” Glenn said in his best Austin Powers voice, as the stews picked outfits. “I’m glad I saw the 70s. That’s when streaking was really big. And it was fantastic because everybody was streaking. Groovy, baby.” Not everybody was streaking, Glenn, only the naked people. But everybody was kung fu fighting.

The mysterious case of the disappearing diamonds

below deck sailing yacht season 9

Everything was peachy until Daisy was called down to one of the guest cabins. “I took off my diamond necklace and earrings,” the guest told her, “and I put them on [this counter]. I’m so upset.” Apparently, her jewelry had been misplaced.

“No no, it’s okay,” Daisy reassured her. “It’s not gonna go far. They’re on the boat somewhere.” Maybe they slid off the counter when the boat was “keeling.” Check the floor.

“Don’t you have like a video of people that are walking down here?” the guest asked. “I’m pretty responsible when it comes to my diamond necklace. I’m just like in shock.”

“I promise you,” Daisy vowed, “no one would take anything. I’ll ask the rest of the crew in the meantime.”

Daisy walked away muttering, “Now we’re getting f***ing accused of stealing jewelry.” Looks like this charter wasn’t going to be as easy as they originally thought.

Running into Mads on deck, Daisy asked her, “Did you move a necklace and earrings that were in this twin cabin?”

“No, I haven’t touched that [cabin],” the junior stew said.

“I would check purses,” Alex suggested.

Down below, the ladies were getting themselves more and more worked up, as Daisy tried to figure out what happened. Guest Lorrie told Jill, “Don’t leave any of your stuff out.”

When Daisy saw Lucy, she confirmed with her, “You haven’t touched any jewelry in the twin cabin?”

“I’ve not been in there,” Lucy said.

Finally, Daisy knocked on Glenn’s cabin door, as he was getting ready to join the guests for dinner. “What’s going on?” he asked her.

“So, Lorrie has misplaced her diamond earrings and her necklace,” she told Glenn. “I think she’s very concerned that somebody’s taken them.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with a theft on a super yacht,” Glenn told producers. To Daisy, he said, “Let’s you and I go and I’ll have a chat with her.”

Downstairs Daisy told the guests that she had informed Glenn of the situation, just so he was aware. “He just wanted to come down and speak to you.”

While Glenn spoke with the guests, Daisy returned upstairs and told her girls, “Whoever does turndown, you just check all the cupboards.”

When Lorrie told Glenn that she’s “torn everything apart” and her heart was “racing,” he reassured her. “We’ll find them, don’t worry. I don’t think anybody steals stuff like that. We’ll start looking around and figure out where they went.”

To production, Glenn said, “You’d have to be an idiot to steal onboard a boat. You’re never gonna get away with it. It doesn’t make any sense.”

I think it’s more likely the lady put her jewelry somewhere for safe-keeping and then forgot where she put it. It’s probably stashed safely in a drawer somewhere. They had been drinking quite a bit, after all.

Dinner at the disco

below deck sailing yacht season 9

When Glenn walked out to dinner in psychedelic red bellbottoms and a bright gold glittery vest, the ladies went wild, “Look at you!”

“What?” he asked, feigning innocence. “I always dress like this.” I don’t mean to disparage, but you would never in a million years see Captain Lee Rosbach come to dinner in anything but his captain’s uniform.

As the guests sat down to dinner, the crew that wasn’t involved with serving was conducting a full-scale search for the missing jewelry. Not only was Mads giving Lorrie’s cabin a thorough once over, but Gary and Alex were searching the bunny pad and the lounge areas.

Lucy even went through Lorrie’s purse. “Yeah,” she said, “there’s literally f***ing money in here and stuff like that. If I was going to steal anything, I’d steal that.” But at the bottom of the purse, Lucy gasped when she finally found the missing jewelry.

Daisy took the necklace and earrings out to the table to show the guests that the missing items had been located. “Where was it?” Jill asked.

“In the pocketbook,” Daisy said, to which Jill replied, “I knew it!”

“Lucy!” Lorrie exclaimed. “My fave! Thank you!”

“Well, I knew there was not going to be a criminal onboard,” Jill said. So did we all. But I do know how frustrating it is to misplace something of value. I lost a pocket camera in Fort Bragg (California) once. I was so upset with myself, it almost ruined my whole weekend. I’m glad for Lorrie that her jewelry was found and returned.

“In the back of my mind,” Captain Glenn interviewed, “I’m thinking, maybe you should at least apologize to the crew. It’s like, no way are they going to do that.”

Fortunately, one of the guests recognized that the crew had gone above and beyond to find the missing jewelry and said, “Can we just make a toast to the crew? Your crew’s amazing … They’re all cute, too. If I was only 40 years younger.”

As dinner was ending, the Parsifal crew, dressed in 70s gear, came dancing out with sparklers. The guests were thrilled and jumped up to dance with them. “Show me some steps,” Alex said. “I wasn’t around for the 70s.” Shut up, Alex. We get it. They’re old and you’re so young. Rude!

On his way to bed, Glenn remembered to stop by the galley and compliment the chef. “Ileisha, dinner was delicious,” he told her. “It came out really fast. Everyone’s great.”

“Thank you,” she told the captain. To production, she laughed, “Sorry, what? I am reeling the captain in. Awesome.”

The lovers say goodnight and Chase takes a jacuzzi with the cougars

below deck sailing yacht season 9

When Gary went to say goodnight to Mads, he found her already in bed. “Oh, you’re in bed!” he said, surprised. “Go on, sleep well,” and he closed the door behind him. “A good night would be nice,” he muttered, walking away. Apparently, his feelings were hurt that Mads went to bed without first bidding him good night. “That’s just blatantly rude.”

Daisy, on the other hand, was visiting the engine room at that very moment. “You going to bed soon?” she asked Colin. “I’m jealous you’re going to bed,” she said, giving him a good night hug.

“Don’t stay up too late,” he told her, giving her a quick smooch and a long hug.

In the hot tub, the guests asked Gary if one of the boys could come up and “do a temperature check.” Send Alex or Chase, ’cause he’s “adorbs,” according to Jill.

Gary asked Chase if he minded jumping in the jacuzzi with the ladies, and he was up for it. “They just want some male company there, it seems like,” Gary told him. “Whatever happens, I don’t want to hear about it.”

Promising to be a “perfect gentleman,” Chase scampered back to his room to change into his wet gear. “These ladies are a little bit older and they’re single,” Chase interviewed. “I know these type of ladies very well, and I like a little hot tub time, so I’ll take one for the team.”

“I hear you need a temperature check,” Chase announced when he arrived at the jacuzzi.

The ladies were pleased to see him. One of them told Jill, “He looks like my cousin, the one that you dated.”

“I look like your ex-boyfriend?” Chase asked Jill. She told him she had good taste.

“Listen to us,” one of the women said. “We sound like a bunch of cougars.”

“We are cougars!” her friend responded.

Lucy gets a long-deserved apology

After changing out of his swim gear and back into his work clothes, Chase went looking for Lucy, who was still working.

“Hey, Lucy,” Chase whispered in the hallway, being respectful of the people trying to sleep. “I know you’re super busy. Can I talk to you? It’ll take 30 seconds.”

When she agreed, he continued, “I wanna apologize about last night. I know that sometimes when I drink, I’m full on, and I make dirty jokes, and sometimes I can be offensive. One of my goals, I wanna crush the season, but I also want to walk away from this, like being friends. Let me hug it out.”

Lucy thanked him for the apology and said it was “fine” and she appreciated it. “I’m not a hugger,” she said, giving him a quick squeeze.

“I gotta take responsibility for the fact that I’ve upset Lucy,” Chase admitted. “Going forward, I need to just be more aware of the things that are coming out of my big, stupid mouth.” Talking about women’s breasts is not cool, Chase. This is 2023, not 1950. Be better.

Last day of the charter

below deck sailing yacht season 9

Wow. That was a short one. They only stayed one night? But it’s Gary’s birthday!

“Happy birthday!” Daisy and Ileisha told him, as they both hugged him together.

Afterward, Daisy went to say good morning to her new boyfriend Colin, already at work in the engine room. She was right in the middle of reaching over his shoulder to give him a big kiss when Gary popped his head in to see Colin, too. Catching Colin and Daisy making out, Gary turned right around and made a speedy exit.

The guests were having a beach excursion day, with a walk and a swim, before returning to the dock. Alex and Lucy were assigned to take the ladies to the beach and motored off in the tender. What a gorgeous day! The skies were blue, and the water was turquoise and crystal clear.

The ladies wanted to challenge the boys to a cornhole competition. “Where’s my teammate?” one of them said, referring to Alex, who was taking a quick dip to cool off.

“Yeah, he’s acting like a model coming out of the sea,” Lucy said, as Alex catwalked his way out of the Tyrrhenian Sea (I Googled it).

“Hey, he’s looking like a model!” one of the guests laughed.

While the ladies enjoyed the water, Gary was kvetching to Lucy about Mads going to bed last night without saying goodnight to him. “The fact that a girl won’t say good morning or good night to me after we’ve had sex f***ing hurts,” he whined. Come on, Gary. Grow a pair.

“I think it’s kind of weird that Gary’s telling Lucy,” Alex commented. “Why wouldn’t you just go talk to Mads about it? As much as it pains me to have to hear about [it], I’m also enjoying watching Gary squirm a little bit.” So, no love lost there.

Back on the boat, Lucy hurried to tell Mads that Gary was talking about her at the beach. She said he was upset that she walked right past him last night on her way to bed and didn’t say good night.

“Oh my God,” Mads moaned. “That’s the kind of sh** that annoys me.”

“I’m not, like, in love with Gary,” Mads said in an interview. “It’s just casual sex to me. Every time I take a step back, it feels like Gary needs more attention from me. It’s f***ing ridiculous … Be more dramatic, please.”

Later, as the guests gathered on the dock to bid adieu to the crew, there were some teary eyes. It was all too short a visit. The ladies exchanged hugs and stole a few kisses from the boys, while Glenn said, “It was fun having you guys. You guys are amazing!”

“Well, what can I say?” Jill announced. “It was so lovely. Service, food. We have memories forever. Thank you so much.” And with that, Jill handed Glenn a fat tip envelope. They were nice guests. Other than the missing jewelry fiasco, it was all cake.

A problem with the plumbing

below deck sailing yacht season 9

After the guests had left, the crew began cleaning the boat. Daisy was in the shower when she noticed a problem. She told Colin, “You know, the toilets aren’t flushing.”

“This f***ing boat,” he said, shaking his head. “This is the sh**iest part of being an engineer.” Literally, in this case.

He decided there must be a blockage somewhere in the pipes, and it needed to be sucked out. “It’s really hard to diagnose where the problem is. I can’t just undo something and find the blockage.”

So he posted someone in each bathroom to watch the bowls, as he pressurized the plumbing. “Anyone who’s religious, please say a little prayer.”

“Bru, it’s my birthday!” Gary joked.

Starting to pressurize the system, Colin radioed, “No one’s got any spillage?”

“I’m getting bubbles,” Gary called.

“Captain’s cabin is bubbling,” Alex radioed.

Nothing in the girls’ cabins. So it’s the boys’ fault then? That makes sense. Boys are gross.

As Gary’s toilet neared overflowing, the smell started to get to him and he began to gag uncontrollably.

“Girls, try to flush your toilets,” Colin called. Daisy and Lucy both attempted to flush their toilets, but nothing happened.

“Literally my worst nightmare,” Colin mumbled. “We have to f***ing break some pipes.”

And Gary was still gagging noisily. Happy birthday, Gare!

Below Deck Trailer: See an Iconic Real Housewife Rock the Boat With Her Demands

Below deck welcomes a sexy new deckhand, deals with a demanding real housewife and teases more dramatic crew drama and firings in e news' exclusive midseason trailer..

A Real Housewife is making waves on Below Deck .

E! News can exclusively debut the Bravo series' season 11 midseason trailer and, as the first look teases, the crew of the St. David might have met their toughest charter guest to date in The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin .

"This is a buffet meal," Zarin tells the staff in the preview while complaining about the quality of her food. "It shouldn't be a three-hour meal. Make it better. Burger's cold!"

Jill's arrival comes as the yachties are feeling the strain from an already stressful season filled with multiple shocking departures , plenty of crew drama between Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Stew Barbie Pascual and, of course, some boatmances.

As Captain Kerry Titheradge notes, "We're half way through the season we're getting tired. This is the opportunity just to smash it. We've all had some ups and downs this season and it wouldn't be yachting if we didn't. We don't do this because it's easy. Easy s--t is on the shore."

As for the friction between Fraser and Barbie, their working dynamic doesn't seem to improve as the Stew notes, "Everybody here knows that there's s--t going on between me and Fraser."

Plus, Fraser bitterly adds, "I'd rather have no sleep than have to look at your face every morning."

But while there doesn't seem to be much hope for Barbie and Fraser, her flirtation with Deckhand Kyle Stillie is only heating up.

"I really like Kyle," she admits. "It's just like a fun, flirtatious...whatever."

And it seems not every crewmember will make it to the end of the charter season.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at the show's most shocking crew departures ever.

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3: next episode, trailer, cast and everything we know

Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is underway and the only thing calm may be the water.

Chef Marcos cooking on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 is here, and Captain Glenn Shephard is back to balancing the demands of vacationers with the drama of his crew. And let’s face it, in most instances, the baggage of his crew far outweighs the luggage of any guest.

This season takes the show to the waters surrounding Menorca, Spain. The breathtaking views only serve as momentary interruptions to the hookups, the confrontations, the injuries and the occasional emergencies of the new season. Given the interesting dynamic that already exists between returning crew members like Daisy Kelliher and Gary King, the addition of a new chef, new stews and new deckhands make sailing anything but smooth aboard the Parsifal III.

Here’s what we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3.

When is the next Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 episode?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 premiered on Monday, February 21. New episodes continue to air on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo TV in the US. Episodes are available the next day in the UK on Hayu , which can be included as part of a Prime Video subscription. Additionally, Peacock via Sky TV or NOW TV also offers next-day streaming for Bravo content.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is back with the first part of the season 3 reunion airing on Monday, June 27, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. After a tumultuous season full of drama and love triangles, it will be interesting to see what the cast has to say to one another when they face off.

By the way, have you read why fans are grossed out by Ashely's grilled cheese feast ?

What happens on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3?

Viewers of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 will recall that the last time the crew was together, first mate Gary King was involved in a messy love triangle with deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore. While fans of the show won’t have to worry about seeing King in a continuation of that love saga, based on the trailer, King will again find himself entangled in a romance. It appears he entangles with chief stew Daisy Kelliher of all people. While the two appeared to make amends at last year’s reunion after feuding all season 2, no one expected the two to be locking lips.

Additionally, it should be noted that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is done with love triangles, as Bravo TV teases this season fans can expect to see a “twisted love pentagon.” More may not turn out to be merrier in this case.

Fans of the show will also remember that Captain Glenn Shephard and his crew were involved in an accident during season 2 . Season 3 shows how Captain Shephard has been able to bounce back from the incident while also trying to avoid another potentially disastrous event.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 cast

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 includes returning crew Captain Glenn Shephard, chief stew Daisy Kelliher, chief engineer Colin MacRae and first mate Gary King. These members are joined by chef Marcos Spaziani, second stew Gabriela Barragan, third stew Ashley Marti, as well as deckhands Kelsie Goglia and Tom Pearson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 looks like it’s not light on the conflict or surprised hookups.

For those needing more details about that kiss between Gary and Daisy, hear from Daisy herself as she provides a little more insight on their involvement.

How to watch Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3

New episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3 air live on Mondays in the US. With a subscription, episodes can also be streamed live via Fubo TV , Hulu with Live TV , Sling TV and YouTube TV . Additionally, Peacock provides next-day streaming for its subscribers. In order to access episodes, would-be viewers will have to subscribe to Peacock Premium , which offers either a $4.99 ad-supported or $9.99 ad-free plan.

Viewers in the UK can watch episodes the day after they air using Hayu .

Who's leaving Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

It looks like everyone's favorite Below Deck chef is calling it quits. Marcos Spaziani recently took to Twitter to announce that he has no plans on returning for another season.

I want to thank everyone for the big support and great comments. I never thought in my life I would bring so much inspiration to so many ppl and for that I’m very grateful and also blessed! But I can’t go back to the next season. #BelowDeckSailingYacht #belowdecksailing pic.twitter.com/CLTmtLV7yP June 1, 2022

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5: When does it premiere?

Captain Glenn Shephard on Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Below Deck Season 11 has yet to hit Bravo airwaves, but that hasn’t stopped fans from asking about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5.

Captain Glenn Shepard and his Parsifal III crew have been fan favorites since the show was revamped for Season 2.

Fans wait to have Below Deck Sailing Yacht back on Bravo airwaves each year.

This year is no exception, especially after fans were less than thrilled with Below Deck Med Season 8.

Let’s look at when the sailing show will be back on the small screen.

When will Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premiere?

Unfortunately, the wait for Captain Glenn to return with some new and returning crew members will be awhile. There is an entire season of the OG show to air before we get to see the sailing show.

Below Deck Season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5 at 9/8c. If Bravo follows past seasons, there will be anywhere from 15 to 17 episodes of Below Deck featuring Captain Kerry Titheradge.

Based on that timeline, Below Deck would air the Season 11 finale in mid to late May, with a possible reunion show to follow. That means Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will kick off at the beginning of June.

Even if the Below Deck Season 11 finale ends in mid-May, the Memorial Day holiday will push back Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Bravo won’t start a new season on a holiday, that’s for sure.

This points to four more months until the Parsifal III guys return to Bravo airwaves.

What else do we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5?

We know the upcoming Below Deck Sailing Yacht season was filmed last summer. Photos of Daisy and Gary filming on Parsifal III were leaked well ahead of Bravo’s confirmation of the show’s renewal at BravoCon.

Colin wasn’t in any pictures, and his travel adventures at the time have fans believing he won’t be on the next season.

Meanwhile, Gary’s future on the show remains up in the air amid sexual assault allegations made against him by a production team member.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the scandal broke right after filming, and Gary was soon removed from the BravoCon list of attendees.

So far, Bravo and 51 Minds has been tight-lipped on what that means for his presence on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Gary has played a key role on the show since Season 2. Editing him out or reducing his role will drastically alter the season.

Keep checking back for more updates, as details on the next sailing season will be here before we know it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Below Deck Season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5, at 9/8c on Bravo.

Ben Willoughby Might Be Fired In Below Deck Season 11, According To Captain Kerry

  • Captain Kerry dismissed Jared Woodin and appointed Ben Willoughby as the new Bosun.
  • Ben is at risk of being fired due to his disappointing performance as Bosun in Below Deck season 11.
  • Captain Kerry admits that Ben wasn't his first choice for Bosun, but he acknowledges his knowledge of the boat.

Captain Kerry Titheradge hints he may fire Ben Willoughby in Below Deck season 11. The Gold Coast-based Deckhand quickly rose to popularity after his debut last season. He earned his promotion and became the Lead Deckhand within five episodes. Unfortunately, Ben’s performance in season 11 has been slightly underwhelming. Over the episodes, he has made various mistakes and distracted himself with other things like hooking up with junior Deckhand, Marie “Sunny” Marquis. Most recently, Ben earned an unexpected promotion. He became the Bosun after Captain Kerry fired Jared Woodin due to his attitude and inability to focus on work.

Ben has yet to showcase his abilities. However, Captain Kerry has already teased that things may not end well for the new Bosun. While talking to Entertainment Weekly , Captain Kerry shared that Ben “may not make the whole season.” He added that Ben has come quite close to things not being good for him. Besides teasing Ben’s exit from the show , Captain Kerry also shared the possible reasons.

He said, “I had a lot of faith in him to do that job,” implying that Ben didn’t live up to his expectations and made him question if he deserved the promotion.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Ben willoughby wasn’t captain kerry’s first choice for bosun, captain kerry believed in ben willoughby’s expertise in handling the boat.

Captain Kerry disclosed the real reason he chose Ben as the Bosun . He revealed, “Ben wasn't my first choice to be in that position , but he does know the boat well.” The new Captain shared that the Lead Deckhand knew the boat more than him. Therefore, he had no choice but to give him a chance.

Captain Kerry said, “at the time, I needed the right skillset for the job, and that's what he had.”

While the Australian Captain didn’t say if he would fire Ben, he shared that his future discussions with him would be about whether he could handle the job.

Captain Kerry is right to doubt Ben’s skills. Over the years, many Below Deck crew members have become successful by concentrating on their jobs more than romance or drama. João Franco from Below Deck Down Under is a great example. When the Zimbabwe native debuted in the series, he had drinking problems. However, he didn’t let the issues dictate his future and completely altered his personality to earn the promotion. Similarly, Tumi Mhlongo achieved the position of Chief Stewardess through hard work. She deserved her promotion because she was passionate about her job. Unfortunately, Ben has yet to improve himself.

It’s hard to say if Ben deserves such a harsh punishment. However, he does need a lesson to help him understand that work is more important than romance. Captain Kerry knows that his new Bosun has potential. He also admitted to having faith in him, which proves he wants Ben to improve. Ben has a golden opportunity in his hand. If he can show Captain Kerry that he’s ready for the job, things can go in his favor. Captain Kerry may even request him to return for future Below Deck seasons and make him his right-hand man.

Below Deck airs every Monday at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.

Below deck sailing yacht.

below deck sailing yacht season 9

After the last episode’s instant replay of Ashley tumbling out of her top bunk, I thought we would at least get some slo-mo footage of Gary’s finger getting smashed between the slamming French doors. But no, we are instantly propelled out of the crime scene and into a CPR course run by — say it with me now — Captain Glenn.

Loyal readers know by now how I feel about Captain Glenn, and the fact that he just whips out this first-aid knowledge for Gary and his purple fingernail only elevates him in my mind. Captain Glenn simply knows things. I can’t do anything without Googling how. I am an indoor kid. On the other hand, Captain Glenn knows how to sail a yacht, and more impressively, he knows how to fix a fingernail bursting with blood. Examining Gary’s injury, he asserts: “You’re going to lose that nail. I’ve had that many times. What I do normally is I get a hot needle — and I get it red hot — and I poke it through and let the blood out.” Gary recoils at the thought, but mere minutes later, he and Colin, in what I can only imagine is an homage to  The Parent Trap , are taking a piping hot needle and piercing it through his bruised fingernail. Gary experiences an immediate wave of relief, and Captain Glenn smiles knowingly. Special mention here to Gary’s gorgeous song/mantra/dance number that I should repeat every morning upon waking up: “Fucking hell. Just stop. Positive. Positive. Be positive, be, be, be positive. Be positive, be, be, be positive.”

This charter is easy. They go to bed at 11 p.m. and have minimal requests: no beach lunches, themed dinner parties, or clubbing excursions. Primary guest Dawn is a vegan and believes that dolphins are aliens ( Google it! ), but Marcos flexes his West Hollywood culinary skills and turns out dish after dish that makes the usual suspects (Crossroads, Gracias Madre) look like dumps. He elegantly shaves tofu over beetroot, turning it into a parmesan of sorts; he grills a butternut squash, transforming it into a fat tenderloin “steak”; he takes tofu again and —  poof!  — creates fried chicken. “Cooking is my therapy. I can get lost … for hours,” Marcos tells us. Let’s sit with that poetry for a moment!

Less poetic is Gabriela and Ashley’s boring tension. I just don’t care about them and their passive-aggressive shutdowns! And just as I predicted, Ashley attempts to throw Gabriela under the bus, and even that is a snooze! The guests hop aboard the tender for swimming and water sports and the minute Gabriela joins them with a platter of fruit, Ashley texts Daisy asking to talk. Daisy’s exasperation is tangible as Ashley launches into her saga: “The other day she’s whining about wanting to quit. She’s like, ‘I don’t trust any of you guys, and I don’t want to drink with any of you guys anymore.’” Mature mother hen Daisy shuts this squabbling down: “I don’t feel it’s fair that I’m talking to you without talking to her.” It’s obvious what Ashley is trying to do here, and it’s embarrassing (for her) that Daisy realized it and stopped it in its tracks. Ashley then realizes that Daisy isn’t in an alliance with her — she’s their boss who is sick of this shit! — and tries to cover up her snakelike behavior by adopting a sweet-girl persona and offering Daisy candy. Like? Grow up? Daisy doesn’t want Reese’s! She grew up in the Dublin, and her palette is accustomed to Cadbury and shit!

Then , to make matters worse, Ashley blabs to Marcos and Colin: “She said she doesn’t want to drink with us anymore. She doesn’t trust any of us.” Please be more of a “pick me,” I’m begging you!

“I don’t really understand the competitiveness with Ashley about boys, about their jobs, about everything,” Daisy begins in her confessional. “I’m not fucking stupid; it’s about being number one.” We get a flashback of Ashley lamenting her third stew position, telling Gabriela that their differences are “obsolete.” This begs the question: Who cares? Who cares about being number one? Every position gets tipped the same! Maybe I’m too  Severance -d out, but it sounds blissful, luxurious even, to be a cog in the machine, to receive and complete your silly little tasks without the burden of responsibility, without doling out assignments to your direct reports, and then checking up on those assignments!

And who cares about fighting over Gary, who clearly wants to shag Daisy? Even the boys are gossiping before bed now! Colin, all curled up and tucked in, says in a yawn to Marcos: “These girls are fucking going crazy for Gary … three weeks, and these girls are like in love with him.” Gary interrupts teatime, and Marcos gets him up to speed, “I’m talking about you right now. I’m talking about the girls in love with you.” Colin eggs him on: “So who’s it going to be?” “Daisy would be a good shag,” he answers, adamant that she’s been flirting with him despite her protests. How quickly forgotten are Ashley and Gabriela …

On the guests’ final morning, there is some minor miscommunication between Daisy (who wants to serve breakfast) and Captain Glenn (who wants to sail). Sailing prevails and the boat heels hard, sending glassware crashing and food flying. Considering Tom almost sunk the boat for real a few weeks ago, this superficial wreckage has lost its luster for me. They dock, send the guests on their way and get a fat tip ($20,000, or $2,500 each). Plus, more good news: A shiny new deckhand will be on board by the next charter.

As Kelsie says: “I hope they have a good personality and they’re a hard worker. I hope they can make me laugh. And then I hope they are hot, but that’s third on the list.” She doesn’t miss, this girl!

Someone from Bravo called and said  Let’s stir it up  because then Captain Glenn announces to the crew that they have tomorrow off, and he’s secured them a private villa for some R&R. Someone pops what looks like Veuve, and it appears that Gabriela is still indeed drinking with the people she distrusts. Later that evening, she and Daisy have a little heart-to-heart, and it’s clear our girl Gabriela is down bad. She confides in Daisy that she thinks she’s lost Daisy’s trust, that she doesn’t want to drag anyone else down, and that she’s just overall defeated. Daisy launches into an affirming pep talk of epic proportions. I hope this buoys Gabriela’s spirits because, judging from the looks of the next episode, she needs it.

Tensions High, Patience Low

Tensions rise on the boat for both the interior and deck crew. Gary’s finger gets stuck in the main saloon doors causing so much pain that his patience with Kelsie is obsolete. Still one man down, Kelsie tries to keep her head above water with the new 12-hour graveyard shift. On the interior, Gabriela works hard to amend her relationship with the crew but feels isolated from the team. Ashley confides in Daisy about Gabriela’s attitude, forcing Daisy to have a private conversation with Gabriela.
