Endlich wieder „Riverboat“ – das sind die Gäste der MDR-Talkshow!

Es wird spannend beim MDR-„Riverboat“. Diesmal berichtet ein Prinz über die Krönung von Charles III. und ein Bestseller-Autor über seinen neuesten Hit.

Das „Riverboat“ legt wieder an und am Freitagabend erwartet Kim Fisher wieder spannende Gäste in der MDR-Talkshow. Mit ihr zusammen moderiert Showstar Wolfgang Lippert. 

Die Zuschauer können sich wieder auf einen bunten Mix für die Talkshow freuen, die heute wieder spannende Einblicke in das Leben der Gäste geben wird.

Einblicke in die Krönung von König Charles III. mit Eduard von Anhalt

Interessante Einblicke in die Krönung seines Freundes Charles III. wird wohl  Eduard Prinz von Anhalt  geben. Der Journalist und frühere Fernsehmoderator ist das Familienoberhaupt der Askanier. Als Teil des historischen Hauses Anhalt kann Eduard Prinz von Anhalt über die Welt des europäischen Adels und seiner Traditionen sprechen. 

Schließlich war er es, der die Erbfolge vom salischen Recht wegführte und seine älteste Tochter zur Nachfolgerin bestimmte und somit das Haus Anhalt an moderne Gepflogenheiten des europäischen Adels anpasste. Erst dieser Tage kritisierte er das Gebaren von Prinz Harry.

Auch wird er über sein Buch „Das verfluchte Jahrhundert. Eine Dynastie am Abgrund“ berichten, in dem er über die Geschichte seiner Familie schreibt, die als Adlige aus der Sowjetischen Besatzungszone fliehen mussten.

MDR-Moderatoren sitzen heute als Gäste beim „Riverboat“

Auch Kollegenbesuch bekommen Kim Fisher und Wolfgang Lippert am Freitagabend. Ex-„Riverboat“-Moderator und Deutschlands Thriller-King Sebastian Fitzek hat mit „Elternabend“, seinem 38. (!) Buch, die Verkaufscharts gestürmt. Aber halt, keine Mordserie diesmal – Fitzek nimmt uns stattdessen mit in eine verrückte Story über zwei Hochstapler, die bei einem Elternabend für ein Kind geradestehen, das nicht mal ihr eigenes ist.

Mit Peter Imhof ist ein echtes Unikat beim „Riverboat“ zu Gast. MDR-Moderator, selbsternannter Heimorgelvirtuose, Entertainer, Pizzakünstler und in seiner Freizeit auch noch HipHopper. Aber da ist noch mehr! Seit zwei Jahrzehnten steht das Allround-Genie bei „MDR um 4“ vor der Kamera. Dabei kam er 2003 zum MDR und dachte, er würde nur mal vorbeischauen. Jetzt, kurz vor seinem 50., blickt er zurück.

Junge Powerfrau verteidigt „alte weiße Männer“

Es mag erst mal seltsam klingen, wenn eine junge Frau die Position alter weißer Männer einnimmt – aber genau das tut die Journalistin Franca Lehfeldt . Sie stellt die Frage: Sind unsere weisen, älteren Männer auf dem Weg, zu einer „bedrohten Spezies“ zu werden? Gemeinsam mit ihrer Schreibpartnerin Nena Brockhaus hat sie ein Buch geschrieben, in dem sie zehn Männer jenseits der 70 – darunter Stars wie Mario Adorf, Peer Steinbrück und Heiner Lauterbach - unter die Lupe nehmen.

Für Lehfeldt, 33 Jahre alt und Powerfrau bei Welt TV, sind Klischees wie „der alte weiße Mann“ nichts weiter als ein billiger Trick, um komplexe gesellschaftliche Probleme zu umgehen. Seit letztem Sommer trägt sie außerdem den Titel „Frau Minister“ – zumindest im privaten Bereich, dank ihrer Hochzeit mit Bundesfinanzminister Christian Lindner (FDP).

Was passiert, wenn Cowboyherzen auf Berliner Asphalt treffen? The BossHoss ! Alec Völkel alias Boss Burns und Sascha Vollmer alias Hoss Power zelebrieren derzeit 20 Jahre der Band mit ihrem zehnten Album „Electric Horsemen“. Privat haben die beiden Frontmänner den Cowboyhut gegen Familienglück eingetauscht, doch im Herbst steht die nächste Tour an. 

Um die Familie geht es auch bei Bernhard Bettermann . Seit 17 Jahren kennen ihn Zuschauer als den bedachten Dr. Martin Stein aus der Erfolgsserie „In aller Freundschaft“. Aber seine Mutter kann noch ein paar ganz andere Anekdoten über den sonst so braven Schauspieler erzählen. So erinnert sich Jutta Dyrchs , die ihn besser kennt als jeder andere. Die beiden werden zusammen beim „Riverboat“ des MDR zu Gast sein. Langweilig wird es dabei also nicht.

Leipzig. 

In der Talkshow Riverboat im (MDR) sorgte das Geständnis eines Gastes für eine kurzzeitig unangenehme Stimmung im Studio.

Den Auftritt des Schauspielers Bernhard Bettermann („In aller Freundschaft“) in der Show Riverboat im (MDR) werden die Moderatoren so schnell wohl nicht vergessen.

„Vielen Dank für Hinweis“, ertönt Kachelmanns Stimme aus dem Hintergrund, während sich Bettermann ein Grinsen nicht verkneifen kann. „Ich war auch schon in Sendungen, da warst du nicht da“, richtet Bettermann das Wort an Kachelmann und versucht somit sein Kompliment an Fiscer zu begründen.

„Achso, so meinte er das“, versucht Fischer die Situation zu retten und setzt das Interview fort, ohne weiterhin auf den Kommentar einzugehen.

Auch im Netz gibt es Aufreger. Dort wird der Fokus allerdings auf etwas anderes gelegt.

Die Sendung von Freitag wird auch auf Facebook von Fans der Talkshow kommentiert. Bei ihnen liegt der Kritikpunkt des vergangenen Abends allerdings eher auf Folgendem: „Schon wieder Dr. Franziska Rubin und Ute Freudenberg, gefühlt alle drei Monate – das nervt. Und jedes Mal dann mit Werbung in eigener Sache – nervt noch mehr. Haben wir keine anderen interessanten Stars?“, fragt eine Nutzerin.

Doch es gibt auch Verständnis für die scheinbar derzeit eintönige Gästeliste von „ Riverboat “. „Es wird wohl nicht jeder ins Riverboat wollen, im Moment werden in allen Talk-Shows die Gäste hin und her gereicht“, kommentiert ein weiterer Nutzer und macht damit eine Anspielung auf die andauernde Pandemie. Why were so many metro stations in Moscow renamed?

The Moscow metro system has 275 stations, and 28 of them have been renamed at some point or other—and several times in some cases. Most of these are the oldest stations, which opened in 1935.

The politics of place names

The first station to change its name was Ulitsa Kominterna (Comintern Street). The Comintern was an international communist organization that ceased to exist in 1943, and after the war Moscow authorities decided to call the street named after it something else. In 1946, the station was renamed Kalininskaya. Then for several days in 1990, the station was called Vozdvizhenka, before eventually settling on Aleksandrovsky Sad, which is what it is called today.

Until 1957, Kropotkinskaya station was called Dvorets Sovetov ( Palace of Soviets ). There were plans to build a monumental Stalinist high-rise on the site of the nearby Cathedral of Christ the Saviour , which had been demolished. However, the project never got off the ground, and after Stalin's death the station was named after Kropotkinskaya Street, which passes above it.

Of course, politics was the main reason for changing station names. Initially, the Moscow Metro itself was named after Lazar Kaganovich, Joseph Stalin’s right-hand man. Kaganovich supervised the construction of the first metro line and was in charge of drawing up a master plan for reconstructing Moscow as the "capital of the proletariat."

In 1955, under Nikita Khrushchev's rule and during the denunciation of Stalin's personality cult, the Moscow Metro was named in honor of Vladimir Lenin.

New Metro stations that have been opened since the collapse of the Soviet Union simply say "Moscow Metro," although the metro's affiliation with Vladimir Lenin has never officially been dropped.

Zyablikovo station. On the entrance, there are no more signs that the metro is named after Lenin.

Stations that bore the names of Stalin's associates were also renamed under Khrushchev. Additionally, some stations were named after a neighborhood or street and if these underwent name changes, the stations themselves had to be renamed as well.

Until 1961 the Moscow Metro had a Stalinskaya station that was adorned by a five-meter statue of the supreme leader. It is now called Semyonovskaya station.

The biggest wholesale renaming of stations took place in 1990, when Moscow’s government decided to get rid of Soviet names. Overnight, 11 metro stations named after revolutionaries were given new names. Shcherbakovskaya became Alekseyevskaya, Gorkovskaya became Tverskaya, Ploshchad Nogina became Kitay-Gorod and Kirovskaya turned into Chistye Prudy. This seriously confused passengers, to put it mildly, and some older Muscovites still call Lubyanka station Dzerzhinskaya for old times' sake.

At the same time, certain stations have held onto their Soviet names. Marksistskaya and Kropotkinskaya, for instance, although there were plans to rename them too at one point.

"I still sometimes mix up Teatralnaya and Tverskaya stations,” one Moscow resident recalls .

 “Both have been renamed and both start with a ‘T.’ Vykhino still grates on the ear and, when in 1991 on the last day of my final year at school, we went to Kitay-Gorod to go on the river cruise boats, my classmates couldn’t believe that a station with that name existed."

The city government submitted a station name change for public discussion for the first time in 2015. The station in question was Voykovskaya, whose name derives from the revolutionary figure Pyotr Voykov. In the end, city residents voted against the name change, evidently not out of any affection for Voykov personally, but mainly because that was the name they were used to.

What stations changed their name most frequently?

Some stations have changed names three times. Apart from the above-mentioned Aleksandrovsky Sad (Ulitsa Kominterna->Kalininskaya->Vozdvizhenka->Aleksandrovsky Sad), a similar fate befell Partizanskaya station in the east of Moscow. Opened in 1944, it initially bore the ridiculously long name Izmaylovsky PKiO im. Stalina (Izmaylovsky Park of Culture and Rest Named After Stalin). In 1947, the station was renamed and simplified for convenience to Izmaylovskaya. Then in 1963 it was renamed yet again—this time to Izmaylovsky Park, having "donated" its previous name to the next station on the line. And in 2005 it was rechristened Partizanskaya to mark the 60th anniversary of victory in World War II.

Another interesting story involves Alekseyevskaya metro station. This name was originally proposed for the station, which opened in 1958, since a village with this name had been located here. It was then decided to call the station Shcherbakovskaya in honor of Aleksandr Shcherbakov, a politician who had been an associate of Stalin. Nikita Khrushchev had strained relations with Shcherbakov, however, and when he got word of it literally a few days before the station opening the builders had to hastily change all the signs. It ended up with the concise and politically correct name of Mir (Peace).

The name Shcherbakovskaya was restored in 1966 after Khrushchev's fall from power. It then became Alekseyevskaya in 1990.

But the station that holds the record for the most name changes is Okhotny Ryad, which opened in 1935 on the site of a cluster of market shops. When the metro system was renamed in honor of Lenin in 1955, this station was renamed after Kaganovich by way of compensation. The name lasted just two years though because in 1957 Kaganovich fell out of favor with Khrushchev, and the previous name was returned. But in 1961 it was rechristened yet again, this time in honor of Prospekt Marksa, which had just been built nearby.

In 1990, two historical street names—Teatralny Proyezd and Mokhovaya Street—were revived to replace Prospekt Marksa, and the station once again became Okhotny Ryad.

Rosatom Starts Life Tests of Third-Generation VVER-440 Nuclear Fuel

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.
