Jeff Bezos’ Giant Yacht Is Apparently Too Big to Anchor Near Others in Florida

The superyacht, called Koru, arrived in Port Everglades in Florida on Nov. 22, and has been docked near a more-than 610-foot-long oil tanker named Magnolia State.

First, Jeff Bezos’ new megayacht was too big to pass under a bridge in the Netherlands. Now, the massive vessel’s size — it’s more than 400 feet long — has played a role in preventing it from keeping company with other private yachts in Port Everglades, Fla., where it is anchored.

Instead, the megayacht, named Koru, is hanging with huge oil tankers and general container ships. The yacht is docked there because of its size and also because of what berths were available in the seaport, according to a spokeswoman for Port Everglades.

Koru is a sailing yacht, unlike the much bigger diesel-powered boats popular with other billionaires. It is the largest sailing yacht in the world, according to Oceanco , the Dutch company that finished building the boat earlier this year.

The deck space of the three-masted schooner has three Jacuzzis and a swimming pool. The inside has a “timeless, contemporary style,” according to Oceanco, with natural wood tones, warm neutrals, and patterned textiles. It also includes a mermaid on the bow that appears to resemble Mr. Bezos’ partner, Lauren Sánchez.

Koru, which Bloomberg estimated cost about $500 million to build, arrived to the Florida port on Nov. 22 after departing from Gibraltar earlier this month, according to Marine Traffic , a real-time maritime data platform.

It was unclear why exactly Mr. Bezos docked his yacht there, but earlier this month he said that he would be moving back to Miami to be closer to his parents and to Ms. Sánchez.

Mr. Bezos had since 1994 lived in Seattle , where he started Amazon from his garage. He has already purchased two mansions in South Florida, one for $68 million and another for $79 million, according to Bloomberg News .

Bloomberg estimated his net worth to be $171 billion.

Port Everglades charges yachts larger than 400 feet at least $309.50 per 24 hours. Ships that have been closest to Koru include a more-than 610-foot-long oil tanker named Magnolia State .

Koru is Maori for “coil” or “loop” and has come to symbolize new life, growth, and peace in traditional Maori art.

Mr. Bezos’ journey with his new yacht started off rocky . Last year, city officials in Rotterdam, the Dutch city, initially agreed to dismantle De Hef, a 95-year-old bridge, so that Koru could pass through it from the nearby city where it had been built. The dismantling process would have taken more than a day, and putting it back together would have too. But after uproar from the community — including calls to throw eggs at the boat as it would have passed — Oceanco decided against it and the yacht was towed to a different location to have its masts attached.

Jeff Bezos' multi-million dollar yacht, Koru, docks at Port Everglades

According to boat international, the koru is the world’s largest sailing yacht, and reportedly cost an estimated $500 million to build, by monica galarza • published november 28, 2023 • updated on november 29, 2023 at 12:37 pm.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' massive yacht has officially dropped anchor in Port Everglades.

Video captured by NBC6 shows the enormous 417-foot yacht docked in Port Everglades Tuesday weeks after the billionaire announced he was moving back to the Sunshine State, after spending nearly three decades in Seattle.

According to Boat International , the Koru is the world’s largest sailing yacht, and reportedly cost an estimated $500 million to build.

Bezos stepped down as the CEO of Amazon almost three years ago and said in a social media post that operations for his rocket company, Blue Origin, are “increasingly shifting” to Cape Canaveral, which is about 200 miles north of Miami.

Coincidentally, on Tuesday, an Amazon spokesperson confirmed to NBC6 that the company is searching for 50,000 square feet of leased office space in the Miami area as part of its organic growth over the past few years in the region.

Amazon currently has more than 400 corporate and tech employees assigned to our existing serviced office locations in the Miami area, but this office space would first base location in the city.

In October, Bloomberg News reported that Bezos had purchased a mansion in the area known as “Billionaire Bunker” for $79 million, after buying a neighboring estate for $68 million.

Spotted: where to find the world's coolest superyachts

The global superyacht fleet is always on the move. In fact, last year, the fleet travelled a cumulative total of 18.7 million nautical miles . BOAT keeps track of some of the most famous yachts in the world, spotting them in locations such as Dubai, Antarctica and Thailand.

Triton in London

This week, the 49.7-metre Triton was seen moored near Tower Bridge in London. She was launched and designed by Delta Marine in 2004 and was the largest composite yacht built in the United States at the time. Triton is best suited to worldwide cruising, deep-sea fishing and exotic reef diving, with an underwater camera in the bow and a lighting rig at the stern that "provides guests front-row seats for observing the ocean’s mysteries". A sonar and bottom-mapping system by Simrad can also photograph and 3D map the bottom of the ocean, easily locating any nearby wreckage.

Pink Shadow in St. Tropez

Delivered by Damen Yachting in August 2023, Pink Shadow has been spotted at Port de Saint Tropez . The 58.3-metre yacht is part of the yard's explorer yacht range and boasts an eclectic interior by Design Unlimited , inspired by the 1982 epic adventure film Fitzcarraldo. A BOAT International Design & Innovation Award winner, the yacht was customised for an experienced client with a taste for adventure and sports a certified helipad and range of 5,000 nautical miles. She is expected to charter with Y.CO later in the year.

DAR in Port Hercule

The "shark-inspired" superyacht DAR was sighted in Port Hercule, Monaco in March 2024. Measuring exactly 90 metres, she was delivered by Oceanco in 2018 and won Motor Yacht of the Year "by a good margin" at the World Superyacht Awards the following year. Onboard, the key communal area is the main deck saloon, which boasts stunning views out to sea through 2.3-metre-tall windows, while the bridge deck swimming pool is flanked by sunpads and fed by a cascade of waterfalls starting on the upper deck. Her exterior is by Luiz De Basto , with interiors by Nuvolari Lenard . She is currently for sale at a staggering asking price of €208 million .

Eye in Port of Gibraltar

The 85-metre Eye (ex Ace ) was photographed docking in the Port of Gibraltar in March 2024. This marks one of the first sightings of the Lürssen since her extensive rebuild was completed in February 2024. Works began in 2022 with MB92 and involved a complete exterior redesign that removed the superyacht's trademark arches and "eye" . According to BOATPro , she has passed the Gibraltar Strait and is now cruising just off the coast of Algeria.

Ultra G in Amsterdam

The 58.5-metre superyacht Ultra G was seen cruising in Amsterdam in March 2024. Her last official sighting was on sea trials last summer , with delivery expected this month. The superyacht is a "sport fisherman in yacht disguise" and is one of Heesen 's most powerful projects yet, with a propulsion package totalling 22,000 horsepower. Her eye-catching exterior lines are the work of Omega Architects ' Frank Laupman.

Launchpad in Gibraltar

Launchpad was recently sighted in Gibraltar on her maiden voyage. The 118-metre was delivered in March 2024 , when she became Feadship 's largest superyacht to date. Her midnight blue exterior comes from Espen Øino , whilst interiors have been headed up by French studio Zuretti . Little is known about the yacht, though images point to a main deck swimming pool, a large helipad with a hangar and a unique pod-style skylounge encased by curved glass. She is rumoured to be owned by Mark Zuckerberg.

Eight13 in London

The 27.7-metre Eight13 was seen cruising along the River Thames this week, marking the first time a Sanlorenzo has visited London. She belongs to the shipyard's SL90A series, whose design is owed to Bernardo Zuccon and based on an original idea by automotive designer Chris Bangle. The yacht will be moored in St. Katharine's Docks until 24 March as part of an "immersive experience" held by the shipyard.

Koru in the US Virgin Islands

The world's largest sailing yacht, Koru , was seen docking at the scenic Charlotte Amalie Harbor in St. Thomas – with the 125.8-metre Oceanco easily dwarfing the marina's other visitors. Owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, wherever Koru goes, the photographers follow. The superyacht has been pictured all over the world , including in Gibraltar, Florida and Mallorca.

Infinite Jest in Antarctica

In the seven months since her delivery, Turquoise Yachts ' 75-metre Infinite Jest has travelled 19,699 nautical miles. This includes an incredible trip to Antarctica , where she was recently photographed. Yacht captain Tim Davison recounted the journey as such: "The air and water temperatures dropped to freezing point, the sea changed colour, the wildlife changed, the fog closed in and the first icebergs were sighted. What lay ahead of us was the adventure of a lifetime."

Promise.D in Poole, UK

Following her delivery last month , the 65-metre Feadship Promise.D has been sighted docking at Poole Marina in the UK. The highly-secretive superyacht has only been seen by the public a handful of times, most recently on her sea trials in December 2023. Little information is available on Promise.D , but images reveal a sheltered foredeck, large helipad on her upper deck and a fold-down beach club. Her interiors are also known to be the work of Bannenberg & Rowell .

More about this yacht

Infinity in miami.

In February, the 117-metre Infinity was seen in Miami, Florida – no doubt docking for the Miami International Boat Show . She was delivered in 2022 as Oceanco 's flagship superyacht and the largest superyacht to be constructed in the Netherlands, though she was recently superseded by Jeff Bezos' 125.8-metre sailing yacht Koru . Infinity features accommodation for up to 16 guests and a wellness area with a spa, sauna, gym and yoga studio. Espen Øino is responsible for exterior design, while her contemporary interior is by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and David Kleinberg Design Associates .

Athos in Mexico

Recently sighted in Isla Partida, Mexico, the 63.3-metre Athos was originally launched by Holland Jachtbouw in 2010 (and remains its flagship). Her classic build is owed to Hoek Design Naval Architects , while an extensive, 14-month refit saw the schooner leave Huisfit in November 2023 with a 1.25-metre stern extension and a total rebuild of her interiors. Onboard highlights include a cosy media room, a "classic-looking" deckhouse bar and new, professional-grade galley. Athos was BOAT International's June issue cover star in 2023.

Obsidian in Portland

The 84.2-metre Obsidian is the newest hybrid vessel to emerge from Feadship 's shed. Formerly known as Project 710, the yacht has a futuristic exterior look designed by RWD in collaboration with MONK Design . One of her coolest features is an "Aqua Lounge" with large windows below sea level (similar to the Nemo lounge on Savannah ) and a staircase that leads to a hidden terrace sitting just 75 centimetres above sea level. She was recently photographed in Portland, UK.

Octopus in Cowes

The 126-metre superyacht Octopus was most recently sighted off the coast of Cowes, the Isle of Wight's maritime gateway. Delivered by Lürssen in 2003 (and still ranking among the largest superyachts in the world ), Octopus was commissioned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Outstanding features include an Espen Øino exterior, a glass-bottom pool that rises to create an on-water dance floor and a drive-in garage that qualifies as a "mini marina". Since her delivery, Octopus has explored the coast of Antarctica, traversed the Northwest Passage and even discovered the wrecks of long-lost WW2 battleships off the Philippines.

Carinthia VII and Tranquility in Dartmouth

Two superyacht legends were spotted crossing paths in Dartmouth Harbour this week. The 97.2-metre Lürssen Carinthia VII and 91.5-metre Oceanco Tranquility have both recently finished up summer refit work at their home shipyards and spent a brief moment on the British coastline. Carinthia VII then hot-footed it to Gibraltar and has now entered the Mediterranean in time for some cruising ahead of its grand debut at the Monaco Yacht Show , while Tranquility has doubled back on itself and is back in the Netherlands.

Artefact in Alaska

World Superyacht Award winner Artefact came out victorious in the Motor Yacht of the Year category in 2021 – thanks to her cutting-edge exterior and interior design, and an innovative general arrangement to environmental and technical considerations. Built by Nobiskrug , the 80-metre Artefact has been cruising nonstop since leaving Germany in early 2020. She has recently been spotted near Alaska, fulfilling the owner’s desire to have a home that was able to travel the world.

Dr No in Denmark

Capable of carrying a 6.9-metre Super Falcon submarine, the 36.7-metre motor yacht Dr. No ’s primary purpose is adventure, exploration and underwater expeditions. She has recently been spotted in Denmark and is no stranger to expeditions, having ventured to Raja Ampat, Indonesia and New Caledonia. Formerly known as Blue Hunter, Dr. Do went through an extensive refit in 2011 to bring the vessel closer to superyacht standards and to accommodate her all-important submersible. Her unusual lines are the work of HYS Yachts and she was delivered in 1995 from Japanese shipyard Narasaki .

Enterprise in New York

The 38-metre Enterprise was recently spotted docked at the North Cove Yacht Harbor in New York. This Baglietto motor yacht was designed, built and delivered in less than three years, with construction seen through the height of the pandemic. Baglietto claims her to be the world’s largest yacht by volume for her length, thanks to an impressive 8.8-metre beam. Her sundeck is the real showpiece, fitted with a transparent perimeter, a glass-side spa pool and a large bathing platform courtesy of Francesco Paszkowski .

Yachts for charter

Multiverse in florida.

The 116.5-metre Multiverse (formerly known as Ulysses ) was recently spotted in Tampa, Florida bearing a new nameplate. The 2018 build has only been known as Ulysses since delivery, built as the successor to the 2015 yacht of the same name (now renamed Andromeda ). The hardy explorer can accommodate 66 guests and can also carry a 20-metre tender in a recessed well on the foredeck.

Kaos in Miami

The 110-metre Oceanco superyacht Kaos has been spotted moored in Miami. She was delivered in 2017 as Jubilee and the previous flagship of the Oceanco fleet. Her iconic profile and blue superstructure, courtesy of Igor Lobanov, is hard to miss, with her “faux decks” and smoked glass masking her true height. The year-long refit at Lurssen saw Sam Sorgiovanni make alterations to the exterior and interior, while maintaining her recognisable design. She is equipped with multiple standout features across the yacht's 4501 GT volume, including a pool deck with a built-in aquarium.

Koru and Black Pearl in Mallorca

Two Oceanco sailing giants were spotted docked side by side in Port Vell in Palma. The 125.8-metre Koru made her maiden voyage to Palma following delivery earlier in the month and joined the 106.7-metre Black Pearl during the Palma International Boat Show 2023. The pair measures a collective equivalent of 2.5 football pitches, and Koru marks the new flagship for Oceanco, as well as the largest yacht ever built in the Netherlands. She is also the largest sailing yacht in the world — excluding motor-assisted Sailing Yacht A — while Black Pearl is the third-largest.

Faith in Saint Martin

The 95.6-metre Faith was spotted seeking some serenity in the waters around Belmond La Samana, one of the most exclusive hideaways in Saint Martin. The yacht dropped anchor just opposite the beach, showing off her elegant RWD -designed exterior, twin ten-metre tenders and unfolding sea terraces, which lead into a spacious beach club with a glass-bottomed pool. In eight weeks' time, the hotel will play host to the inaugural Between the Bays event, which is being held in partnership with Anguilla Tourism, St. Martin Tourism and Feadship.

Octopus in Antarctica

The 126.2 metre Octopus has been busy since she sold in 2021. Since then, she has joined the charter fleet with Camper & Nicholsons and voyaged across central and south America, finishing her ambitious charter tour in the wintry waters of Antarctica. The superyacht, which was famously commissioned for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen , is widely considered the world's first 'true' explorer and is packed from bow to stern with adventurous amenities including pools, a helipad and an ROV.

Stardust in Thailand

The 62.5 metre Amels yacht Stardust was spotted cruising through Phuket and the shallow waters of Phang Nga Bay shortly after delivery. Led by Captain Fraser Gow, the yacht explored the remote beaches and limestone karsts studded throughout the region's emerald waters. Stardust was delivered in 2020 by Amels and is no stranger to adventure — in the first half 2022 she was the world's eighth most-travelled superyacht and she even paid a visit to London .

Bold in Dubai

BOLD is a born explorer and has been on the move since the day she left the SilverYachts shipyard in 2019. From Australia to Fiji and Papua New Guinea, to Canada and across the Indian Ocean, she has racked up more than 90,000 nautical miles circumnavigating the globe. Her latest adventure has seen the 85.3 metre explorer drop anchor in Dubai where her guests could observe the regatta action unfolding at the Dubai SailGP event - the first to be held in the Middle East. The Espen Øino design may resemble a battleship but conceals a colourful interior behind her aggressive lines and tinted windows.

Dragonfly in The Netherlands

After checking in for a refit at an unknown shipyard in Harlingen at the beginning of the year, the 73.3 metre Dragonfly has been spotted on the move. Not one often found sitting still in a shipyard, Dragonfly started 2021 exploring Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands, moving northwards to West Papua and crossing the pacific to the Galapagos and Costa Rica, before making passage across the Atlantic to Harlingen. Her slender form is the work of Espen Øino and she is the second of two sisterships from Australian shipyard SilverYachts .

Blue Jeans in London

The latest launch from Van der Valk made a trip to London on its maiden voyage from the Dutch shipyard. Her custom lapis-blue hull stood out against the grey skies of the British capital as she posed for a picture in front of the iconic Tower Bridge. Highlights of the 33 metre include a sundeck firepit, a folding bulwark that doubles as a diving board, and a foredeck "chillout lounge" with sun pads tucked into the bow and a dining table that pops up from the deck.

Gene Machine and Gene Chaser in Miami

The 55 metre Amels Gene Machine and its Damen support vessel Gene Chaser have been spotted at Yacht Haven Grande Marina at Island Gardens in Miami. The two have been cruising in tandem since 2021 after its owner, Dr Jonathan Rothberg, purchased and refitted the Damen support vessel formerly known as Blue Ocean . In an interview, Rotherbeg said that Gene Machine is operated like a Four Seasons and Gene Chaser is run more like a Holiday Inn Express. Gene Machine carries a Fjord 42, pictured, and a Hatløy Maritime Oxpro AL8 landing craft. The 74 metre Lady Jorgia can also be seen moored side-to the pair.

O'Pari in Greece

The 95 metre O'Pari is one of the largest superyachts built in Greece, and is an active cruiser around the Hellenic coastlines. She was spotted here, coming into the port of Spetses, during a busy summer season island-hopping around the Saronic. She marks one of the most expensive superyachts available to charter and was famously chartered by basketball star Michael Jordan around Croatia. As the flagship for Athens-based shipyard Golden Yachts, she follows in the footsteps of a number of superyachts that all begin with 'O' - a nod to an ancient Greek character that was formerly used as a greeting.

13 Awesome Superyacht Marina Destinations

With a growing number of superyachts over 100 meters in length, there is more and more demand for large yacht berths in scenic locations worldwide.

Finding marinas that welcome larger vessels and also offer high-end facilities is therefore challenging. Here is a comprehensive list of the eleven largest yacht berths in the world that are popular for yacht spotting .

1. Porto Montenegro

Porto Montenegro in Tivat

Porto Montenegro has by far the largest yacht berths in the world and can accommodate up to 450 vessels, each measuring 250 meters.

The marina itself offers all necessary services like refueling, on-site provisions, or repairs.

Fashion stores, day spas, sports, leisure, and cultural facilities are also located just a few steps away from the port, making it extremely popular among yacht owners looking for a luxury experience.

The surrounding streets of Porto Montenegro are well known for their upscale restaurants, bars, and waterfront hotels.

Since the largest yacht in the world, AZZAM “only” has a length of 180 meters, the marina is already prepared for any even bigger projects in the future.

2. Yacht Haven Grande

The second-largest yacht berth is located in St. Thomas on the Virgin Islands. With only 48 berths, the marina is not the biggest, however, it can accommodate yachts with a length of up to 200 meters, making it suitable for some of the largest vessels in the world.

The on-site facilities are exclusively tailored to the needs of luxury yacht owners, charter guests, and crew stationed in this port.

Besides the usual amenities like repairs and provisioning, there is also a sizable shopping mall just a few steps away from Yacht Haven Grande called “The Shops,” which is perfect for stocking up during layovers.

3. Marina Port Vell

Located in Barcelona, Spain, the Marina Port Vell offers 151 berths for yachts up to 190 meters.

Its excellent location close to the city center and many of Barcelona’s main attractions makes this marina very popular among yacht enthusiasts.

Marina Port Vell is also a highly secure port with sophisticated CCTV and professional security guards stationed in the area 24/7. The on-site facilities include a gym, a business hub, and exclusive restaurants.

There is also a dedicated crew lounge within the marina where the captain and crew can spend their time ashore.

Marina Port Vell stands out due to its convenient location, although this berth tends to fill up quickly during the summer months and can become extremely crowded due to its popularity.

4. Port Vauban

Port Vauban harbor in Antibes France

Port Vauban is the leading marina in the Mediterranean, with 1,500 berths available for yachts with a length of up to 160 meters.

Located in Antibes, France, between Cannes and Nice, Port Vauban is one of the most popular locations for yachting and also one of the largest yacht berths in the world. The marina is also well known for its exclusive yearly events and parties.

Any standard, as well as unusual services and requests, are fulfilled by the berth’s own agents, who are on call 24/7.

Among other high-profile guests, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and his 126-meter yacht OCTOPUS are regular guests at Port Vauban.

5. Port Tarraco

The 5th largest yacht berth on this list is located in Tarragona, Spain, just 100 km southwest of Barcelona.

Port Tarraco is a smaller and highly exclusive marina with just 33 berths in total, and it can accommodate boats from 45 meters up to a length of 160 meters.

The business pier next to the marina offers a broad selection of excellent restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities.

Furthermore, there are several yachting stores in the area surrounding Port Tarraco where you can purchase all important spare parts and supplies that might be needed.

Tarragona itself was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000 and has lots to do and see, including famous landmarks and historic ruins.

6. Port Hercules

port hercule monaco

Port Hercules is located in Monaco, on the French Riviera, and has not only one of the largest yacht berths in the world but also represents one of the most popular locations for yachting in general.

The marina has 700 berths for yachts with a length of 135 meters and a maximum draught of 30 meters.

Monaco attracts millions of tourists every year with its many sights and upscale restaurants. The Monaco Yacht Show is held in Port Hercules every year, attracting thousands of visitors from all around the world.

7. Porto Mirabello

Porto Mirabello is a unique port located in the harbor town of La Spezia in northern Italy. Since the bay is relatively small, the berths had to be constructed without obstructing the beachfront, which proved to be a challenge.

Porto Mirabello was therefore partly constructed on an artificial island which makes this port a unique and unusual project.

Vessels between 12 and 130 meters in length can anchor at La Spezia’s berths, making it one of the largest in the world.

La Spezia is a charming former fishing village that has become a popular starting point for exploring Italy in the yachting community.

8. Vilanova Grand Marina

Vilanova Grand Marina is a modern and well-equipped port with some of the largest yacht berths in the world.

After its opening in 2009, the port quickly gained recognition and earned a place among the most well-frequented harbors in Europe.

Vilanova can welcome vessels up to 120 meters in length, although the berths are extremely popular, with only a limited number available for sale or rent.

This port specifically specializes in superyachts and was constructed with the proximity to Barcelona’s International Airport in mind allowing owners to arrive conveniently in their private jets.

9. Limassol Marina

As the only superyacht port in Cyprus, Limassol Marina combines luxury hotels with sought-after restaurants and, of course, plenty of high-end shopping opportunities.

Its berths can accommodate yachts of up to 110 meters, excluding some of the world’s largest vessels but still allow it to rank alongside high-profile marinas around the Mediterranean.

Yachts like A or MADAME GU frequent the port and attract curious onlookers. Limassol has space for up to 650 yachts which give an idea of its size.

However, there is far more to the port than just berths. With elaborate real estate projects on the property, there are plenty of investment or luxury housing opportunities to explore.

10. Club Nautico Marina, Cartagena, Colombia

Club Nautico Marina is situated in the historic city of Cartagena, Colombia, and is dedicated to both the sailing and powerboat community worldwide. It is conveniently located a short walk from the historic center, with a supermarket just 2 minutes away.

The marina emphasizes the security of vessels and crew, with a family touch reflecting the history and development of the marina. Originally a haven for international sailors, it now caters to both recreational vessels and those dedicated to tourism activities.

While you’re enjoying your time in Colombia, don’t forget to go further inland and checkout Medellin, a cultural city with excellent food, weather, nightlife and one of the best pub crawls to experience!

11. Yalıkavak Marina

Yalıkavak Marina or sometimes called Port Palmarina is situated close to Bodrum in Turkey. The marina only opened in 2012 with a grand party including a long list of high-profile guests.

The port is owned by the Azerbaijani businessman Mubariz Masimov who supported this one-of-a-kind project and gathered over $45 million in investments.

In addition to housing yachts, Port Palmarina is a hub for entertainment, shopping, and fine dining, attracting international tourists.

12. Marina di Stabia

Just a short ride from Naples in Italy lies the Marina di Stabia which can host superyachts of up to 100 meters.

felipe prieto E3ns5kt286I unsplash

The port has a strategic position that allows visitors to reach places of interest such as the Amalfi Coast, Capri, or Naples easily and comfortably.

With up to 900 berths available for purchase or rent, the Marina di Stabia is not only one of the largest but also the most modern ports in the area, with the volcano Mount Vesuvius providing a beautiful backdrop.

13. Marina Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico

Marina Puerto Los Cabos is located adjacent to the San Jose estuary, a few miles from historic downtown San Jose del Cabo. Offering a full-service experience with all necessary amenities, this marina provides a laid-back experience near the history and culture of Old Mexico.

ty downs IjjGIs01WHk unsplash

As one of the premier marinas on the entire west coast of Mexico, it currently has 200 slips and can accommodate megayachts up to 250 feet in length. It offers concierge services, a maintenance yard, and various other amenities sought by discerning boaters .

This is the Dynasty, the first megayacht to overwinter at Malaga's marina for luxury craft

The vessel is valued at an eye-watering 200 million dollars and it will be docked in the city until spring 2024, while it undergoes maintenance.

It's name is I Dynasty and it is a 101-metre superyacht that has just anchored at the Port of Malaga and will remain there for the whole winter.

It's the first luxury vessel scheduled to spend the cooler months in the Marqués de Guadiaro basin, the reformed area in the city port for luxury craft and megayachts. The marina was designed and built several years ago to receive large vessels and provide them with the necessary services during the low season, such as high-power electrical connections.

The I Dynasty, with a crew of 30, is scheduled to remain in Malaga throughout the autumn and winter, until the spring of 2024, according to port sources.

Business opportunities

The megayacht will undergo maintenance throughout the winter, for which the concessionaire of the marina, IGY Málaga Marina, is looking for various suppliers in the province which specialise in various technical tasks.

Maintenance required may include sanding, hull painting, welding, electrical, mechanics, carpentry and plumbing. IGY Málaga Marina is creating a database of interested companies, for which they ask anyone interested to contact them directly.

The I Dynasty is a modern megayacht built in 2015 on behalf of Alijan Ibragimov, a billionaire from Kazakhstan. He is the co-founder of the multinational Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC) and is involved in diversified natural resources such as mining, processing, energy and logistics. Its owner died in February 2021, reportedly due to Covid-19.

The vessel was built at the Kusch Yachts shipyard in Germany, with interior design by Massari Design. It can accommodate 22 guests in 11 luxury cabins; and 30 crew in another 15 cabins. Among its features, it has a 30-square-metre indoor swimming pool, which also serves as a dock for dinghies and pleasure boats.

The ship is powered by a Rolls-Royce diesel-electric propulsion system, with a top speed of 17 knots, and a cruising speed of 14 knots. It has a range of 6,500 nautical miles (about 12,000 kilometres), making it particularly suitable for journeys between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. It is valued at around 200 million dollars, with maintenance costs estimated at 15 to 20 million dollars a year.

Italy’s finance police have seized a super-yacht from Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko in the port of Trieste.

The seizure of the 143-m vessel, called ‘SY A’ and valued at €530 million, is as high an eight-storey building and is the largest sailing yacht in the world, reports Italian newspaper   Corriere della Sera .

The move is part of measures taken against Russian tycoons included in the EU ‘black list’ for sanctions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The vessel, which can reportedly accommodate 60 guests and crew, is equipped with a large swimming pool, an underwater observatory and a helipad.

Top 15 elite superyacht marinas worldwide

Nathan Bees

There are thousands of ports and marinas around the world, and most of them are very charming, worthwhile places to visit. However, there are a few in particular that are simply irresistible to the superyacht set, boasting iconic facilities that see the world’s glitterati return time and time again to revel in their splendour.

Yachting Pages feels that these elite marinas deserve to be recognised, so we have compiled a list of 15 of the most luxurious superyacht and mega yacht marinas in the world. During your time on board, endeavour to tick off as many of these as you can. We promise you won’t be disappointed!

Marinas with Italian luxury

1. marina grande, capri.

Marina Grande, Capri

We start with Marina Grande on the island of Capri, which is reportedly the most expensive marina in the world. With a real feel of exclusivity, berthing will need to be arranged many months in advance, especially during peak season. There are over 300 berths in total and the facility can accommodate superyachts of up to 60 metres or 197 foot.

The marina is nestled among striking cliffs and colourful, quaint buildings, offering a truly unforgettable experience. Sitting below the town, the marina is surrounded by a selection of luxury hotels and restaurants that offer some of the most spectacular views in the world, and numerous medieval villages.

Unsurprisingly, the island has a special allure for the rich and famous, with some of the world’s most extravagant yachts often found congregated here.

2. Marina di Porto Cervo, Sardinia

Marina di Porto Cervo, Sardinia

Listed as the world’s second-most expensive marina, Marina di Porto Cervo is located on the northern tip of Sardinia on the famous Costa Smerelda. Here daily berthing fees can exceed 2,500 euros during the high season, which gives an insight into just how desirable the marina is. Among the most expensive periods for berthing are the Deluxe Fair in June and the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup Regatta in September.

The facility has up to 60 superyacht berths for yachts up to 100-metres (328-feet) long, During the summer, this is where the Italian jet-set takes their holidays, sailing and enjoying the beautiful landscape and coves. The list of celebrities spotted in Porto Cervo is endless, with model Kate Moss and pop superstar Rihanna known to have visited in the past. Famous for its lavish parties and nightlife, there’s even a “Billionaire Nightclub” for the select few that can afford it.

The surrounding area features a mix of unspoiled natural beauty and modern luxurious facilities, such as high-end boutiques and clubs.

3. Marina di Portofino, Genova

Marina di Portofino, Genova

With only 14 berths for superyachts, and an average daily berthing price of well over 2,000 euros, Marina di Portofino is one of the most exclusive ports in the world. Again, due to a lack of berths, reservations will need to be made many months in advance, especially during peak season.

Originally a small fishing village set in a protected bay of green waters, Portofino has become an ultimate playground for the super-rich and famous, including the likes of Steven Spielberg, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and Rihanna (who must be working through our list).

Accessible by a single road—which is usually kept closed to keep the area secluded—the preferred mode of transport to Portofino tends to be boat giving Marina di Portofino a quiet and private feel.

Spanish style and Catalonian chic

4. ibiza magna, ibiza.

Ibiza Magna, Ibiza

With a limited amount of superyacht berths, Ibiza Magna in the Balearic Islands has a certain feeling of both luxury and exclusivity. While certain marinas’ main allure may be their scenery, surroundings and views, there’s no doubt that the main draw to Ibiza Magna is the electric atmosphere.

Renowned for being a magnet for the young, rich and glamorous, some of the most famous faces in the world are frequently spotted on the ‘White Isle’. The marina itself fits perfectly with the itineraries of this crowd, as it’s located just minutes away from iconic nightclub, Pacha.

Ibiza Magna offers berths for yachts up to 60m (197ft), while larger vessels can drop anchor outside of the main harbour. The most popular (and expensive) time to visit is in September, when Ibiza plays host to the revered dance parties that bring the summer season to a close.

5. Puerto Banús, Marbella

Puerto Banus, Marbella

Having firmly established itself as a hallmark location for luxury yachts, Puerto Banús in Marbella is another must-visit location for owners, guests and crew alike. Designed and built by property developer Jose Banús in 1970, it’s since become a popular stomping ground for the wealthy.

There’re over 900 berths in total across an area of 150,000 square metres, and while that’s plentiful in comparison to the others already listed, it may well cost over 2,400 euros per day to berth here. Its clientele includes some of the richest and most powerful people in the world, with reports suggesting the King of Saudi Arabia visits regularly.

The marina is protected by the Sierra de Marbella mountain range, and is surrounded by numerous designer shops, bars, restaurants and luxury homes. If that wasn’t enough, the marina is flanked on both sides by lovely beaches that regularly attract famous faces.

6. Port Vell, Barcelona

Port Vell, Barcelona

Originally built for the 1992 Olympic games, the marina has since been transformed, recently upgrading to become a five-star, 148-berth facility for superyachts up to 190m (623ft).

Situated in the heart of Barcelona, with idyllic views of the city and out across the sea, Port Vell has become a hugely popular destination with the world’s trendsetters. Yachts can berth a stone’s throw away from the city’s beautiful beaches and world-famous attractions, including the iconic Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia and Camp Nou – the home of FC Barcelona.

As day turns into night the city’s thrilling nightlife comes to the fore. Fine-dining establishments showcase local gastronomic delights and modern fusions from renowned chefs, and the numerous bars and clubs offer up the perfect place to soak up Barcelona’s inimitable atmosphere; the perfect place to let your hair down.

As far as big-city marinas go, Port Vell in Barcelona is as good as it gets.

7. Port Tarraco, Spain

Port Tarraco

Just 64 berths are available at the tranquil Port Tarraco in Tarragona, which gives this well-equipped marina a sense of individuality from other marinas in mainland Spain. It ties in with the intriguing nature of the city, known for its charming ancient architecture and culture.

Where Ibiza Magna is a growing magnet for young and rich, Port Tarraco attracts those wishing for a little more serenity – those who want to absorb local culture at their own pace. It isn’t a celebrity hotspot, so it retains a sense of calm that other marinas have lost as a result of their showbiz allure.

Beyond Tarragona, Port Tarraco has the added bonus of sitting just below Barcelona, and being within easy reach of both Madrid and Valencia. It means there are a number of places to explore within a commutable distance of the marina, so plenty of different interests and personalities can be catered for.

The unique selling point of Port Tarraco is that it is completely different to almost everywhere else.

French-class marinas

8. port de saint tropez, france.

Port de Saint Tropez, France

A jewel in the French Riviera, and one of the most famous ports in the world due to its heritage, Port de Saint Tropez offers over 700 berths for boats with an area covering 22 acres.

St Tropez is the quintessential celebrity destination; it offers the luxury restaurants, shops and expensive clubs that the world’s elite demand, while retaining its own quaint charm. It has a classic feel, with narrow streets and architecture belying its standing as a playground for the rich and famous.

Though the marina itself can only berth yachts up to 70m (230ft), larger vessels can frequently be found farther out at sea. With other highlights including the beaches along the Baie de Pampelonne and the iconic nightlife the region is known for, it’s unsurprising Port de Saint Tropez features on our list.

9. Port Hercule, Monaco

Port Hercule, Monaco

Monaco is among the most famous destinations in the world given its combination of luxury, wealth and extravagance. Its marina, Port Hercules, is no different. An opulent extension of the Principality’s flamboyant image; it’s surrounded by casinos, luxurious homes, grand hotels and incredible restaurants.

Event highlights include the Monaco Grand Prix in May, where guests watch the action from on board, and the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Though generally not the most expensive place to berth, during these times the mooring rates are, for want of a better word, astronomical.

Surrounded by steeply rising hills, Monaco’s Port Hercules is situated in an impressive setting and provides opportune access to Monaco’s range of attractions. Experiencing the views of the marina and town at night, when the bright lights of boats and buildings combine to create a truly spectacular sight, is an absolute must for anyone involved in the yachting industry.

10. Port Vauban, Antibes

Port Vauban, Antibes

Located on the French Riviera between the glamorous locations of Cannes and Monaco, Port Vauban is a suitably sophisticated destination in its own right. The International Yacht Club d’Antibes can accommodate 19 vessels from 70m to 170m (230ft to 558ft) and is equipped with all the modern amenities a yachtsman looks for in a high-end marina.

The result is many multi-million pound superyachts coming in to berth to sample the luxurious Riviera lifestyle, with “Billionaires Row” offering up some the most eye-catching superyachts currently on the water. The port is something of a focal point for the beautiful town, with multi-storey yachts dominating the skyline and providing a poetic contrast to the town’s ancient architecture.

Celebrated as one of the most popular destinations on France’s Mediterranean coast, it offers revealing, dream-inducing glimpses into the world of the rich and famous; a gateway to the celebrity world.

Marinas with eastern-Mediterranean mystique

11. porto montenegro, montenegro.

Porto Montenegro, Montenegro

Set in the picturesque UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, with its diverse landscape and extensive stretches of coastline and mountain peaks, Porto Montenegro is fast claiming a stake as one of Europe’s most attractive marinas.

After recent upgrades, the facility now offers the ability to berth some of the world’s largest superyachts, measuring up to 250-metres (820-feet) long. This has brought a wealthier and more prestigious clientele to the marina who are keen to sample the lavish lifestyle Montenegro can offer. Some have fallen in love with the area, so much so that they’ve purchased multi-million pound apartments within the facility’s five-star Regent Hotel so they are always guaranteed a luxurious place to stay ashore.

The marina is complemented by a retail and entertainment village, which offers luxury waterside residences, restaurants, bars, designer boutiques and more.

From its mountainous landscape, covered with canyons, wildlife reserves and glacial lakes, to its uninhabited islands, secret coves and historical sites, the small country of Montenegro is now one of the most fashionable places to visit in Europe.

12. Grand Harbour Marina, Valletta

Grand Harbour Marina, Valletta

This time set against the scenic background of a UNESCO-world heritage site, among historic waterfront buildings and a metropolitan backdrop, Grand Harbour Marina is a truly breath-taking place to berth. Located opposite Valletta, Malta, the marina has berths for superyachts up to 140m (459ft) alongside and perfectly encapsulates the unique charm and style of the country.

On the quayside one can enjoy numerous stylish restaurants and bars, as well as the world famous Casino di Venezia. Other notable attractions in the vicinity of the marina include one of the world’s oldest golf courses and various exhilarating water-sport opportunities, with the waters around Malta considered to be among the best in the Mediterranean. It is also worth noting that Valletta has been chosen as the 2018 European Capital of Culture, guaranteeing a range of exciting celebratory events should you visit during the course of the year.

The marina boasts an array of modern services and amenities, which have been refurbished to the luxury standards the yachting elite expect of a top-class marina. The transformation, alongside its lengthy list of things to do, has catapulted Grand Harbour into the stratosphere of must-visit Mediterranean marinas.

13. yas marina, abu dhabi.

Yas Marina

Situated on Yas Island, Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi has firmly established itself as the premier Middle-Eastern destination for super and megayachts. The 227-berth marina caters for yachts up to 150m (492ft) and gives visitors access to sumptuous coastlines, uninhabited islands and the nearby cosmopolitan cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

An expansion development plan was revealed in October 2013 to enhance the growth of Yas Island as a leading tourist destination, and has helped to transform the marina into a vibrant dining, lifestyle, fitness and entertainment centre. It features, among other things, seven new restaurants with panoramic views, a pedestrian promenade, charter operators, wellbeing facilities, a chandlery and big events throughout the year.

The leading attraction of Yas Marina is the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the annual Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and numerous other motorsport events and experiences. For a sports enthusiast, or someone who appreciates majestic track vehicles as much as those on water, it’s a coliseum of unmissable entertainment and drama. This alone makes Yas Marina well worth the trip.

To further add to its appeal, the marina is also the first within the Caribbean to offer complimentary concierge services. Priding itself on sourcing everything that is requested, by even the most discerning of guests, Yacht Club Port de Plaisance’s team can ensure every visitor has an unforgettable trip to St Maarten.

15. Port de Gustavia, Saint Barths

Port de Gustavia, Saint Barths

During high season, Port de Gustavia in Saint Barts is one of the most select marinas on earth, due to its exotic location and climate during the winter period. It offers fantastic berthing opportunities for superyachts due to the amazing atmosphere of the area, modern facilities and scenic landscapes. It’s particularly popular at Christmas and New Year, where the rich and famous flock to see in the year under firework-lit skies, surrounded by Caribbean wildlife.

With only a small number of berths for large superyachts, it’s no surprise that it’s almost impossible to make a reservation during the high season.

Awaiting owners, guests and crew at St Barts are numerous luxury boutiques, perfect white-sand beaches and palm trees, delicious restaurants and a wild nightlife, all ensuring that Saint Barts is one of the most popular marinas and destinations for superyachts and mega yachts.

Notable marinas

It was, of course, very difficult to restrict our list of the world’s top marinas to just 15, and there were a large number of others that were close to making the cut! From experiencing the delights of Port des Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival to the hilltop castle, pretty churches and striking towers surrounding  Port De Bonifacio , Corsica, it’s fair to say we agonised over which berths were simply the best.

PETER DUNCAN AND RELATIVE OBSCURITY WIN THE 2021 J/70 WORLDS

Peter Duncan and Relative Obscurity Return to the Podium as J/70 World Champion at California Yacht Club

Peter Duncan’s Relative Obscurity has prevailed over 60 other teams and challenging wind conditions to capture the 2021 J/70 World Championship title at California Yacht Club, today. In a five-day series that tested the skill and patience of top-notch competitors from 11 nations, Duncan – sailing with Willem van Waay, Morgan Trubovich and Victor Diaz de Leon – secured a top five position in the beginning of the regatta and never let go.

“I’m elated!” said Duncan as he returned to the dock, bustling with activity. “That was a tough day out there. We didn’t start very well but had a bit of a break with a header on the first run of the second race that let us get close to everybody and sail through some folks we need to sail through,” he explained. “We have a lot of fun onboard – joke and laugh and keep it light – and that worked in our favor when we had to grind through. Everybody knows what their job is, and these guys do them exceptionally well.”

“It was very cool that there were four boats who could have won this thing in the last race...”

CALIFORNIA YACHT CLUB

Founded originally in 1922 by yachtsmen including Charles Hathaway and Frank Garbutt, the California Yacht Club's first clubhouse was built in Wilmington, CA in Los Angeles' inner harbor (berths nos. 192 & 193), just opposite Terminal Island. Close by were the yards of renowned yacht builders Wilmington Boat Works and Fellows & Stewart (second location). In the club's inaugural year, member yachtsmen formed the first Star class fleet on the Pacific coast. Involved in all aspect of the sport, the club has encouraged a variety of pleasure boating, first in Los Angeles Harbor, and now in Santa Monica Bay.

Over the years CYC has been the club for numerous prominent yachtsmen including Merritt Adamson, Pierpont Davis, Roy E. Disney, J. Paul Getty, Samuel K. Rindge, William Stewart, James Kilroy and navigator extraodinaire, Ben Mitchell. Movie mogul Cecil B. DeMille once served as a trustee of the club and donated a gold cup for powerboat racing. Comedy film producers Al Christie and Hal Roach were both deeply involved in club activities in the twenties and thirties.

Power boating has always been a part of the club's mission along with sailing and rowing. The first CYC powerboat regatta was run in 1922 and the winner was none less than the famous Gar Wood in his Harmsworth Trophy winner Miss America. CYC's Catalina Challenge race for powerboats has been run annually since 1922.

A fire on Thanksgiving Day, 1930 severely damaged the original clubhouse although the heroic efforts of some members saved all of the trophies.

In 1932, several CYC members figured prominently in the sailing events at the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Owen Churchill, inventor of the SwimFin, won the gold medal in the Eight-Metre Class with Angelita.

Unfortunately, the club was forced to relinquish its key location in the East Basin to the Coast Guard for the war effort in 1941. A dormant period followed.

With the development of the long-awaited Marina Del Rey in the early 1960s, the club reformed in '63 and elected Fritz Overton, Commodore in 1923, as head of the "new" club. In 1966, they opened the modern clubhouse and marina facility that is their home today. The radial design of the building allows sweeping panoramic views of the marina.

The California Yacht Club is owned by the Hathaway family, owners of the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The annual "Great Catalina to Marina del Rey Rowing and Paddling Event" pays tribute to Charles Hathaway's row in 1976 from Catalina Island to the club on his 50th birthday.

The unique combination of private ownership and annually elected flag officers has worked well to establish California Yacht Club as one of the outstanding clubs in the nation.

‘Nothing left’: After California Yacht Club fire, residents mourn loss of a beloved spot

Two firefighters injured fighting a massive overnight fire that destroyed

In an instant, an overnight seaside blaze engulfed decades’ worth of boating trophies, historical artifacts and cherished memorabilia at the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey on Monday.

Fire crews attempted to control the blaze as heavy smoke and flames consumed the two-story building. By the time they had subdued the fire two hours later, only the skeletal remnants of the clubhouse were left standing.

John Myers, senior vice president of the club, said the blaze had been reported by an employee working late in the clubhouse Monday night. The fire spared the remainder of the facilities on the ground, including the docks and the yachts moored there. But the clubhouse, and particularly its second floor, was all but wiped out.

“We are working closely with the Los Angeles County Fire Department in their investigation of the cause of the incident and will share those findings when they become available to us,” Myers said.

The three towers that make up the Marina City Club

Members are left mourning, comparing the loss to the death of a loved one.

Jennifer Dakoske Koslu awoke in Rancho Mirage at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, before the sun had risen, to find her phone inundated with text messages from club members.

The first message she read simply stated, “The CYC is gone.”

“As soon as I opened my phone, it went to a link on the Citizen app and saw a video of the club burning. I was shocked,” Dakoske Koslu said.

For the last 24 years, Dakoske Koslu and her family have been dedicated members of the CYC, whose clubhouse is a few miles away from their home in Playa del Rey. She said it is where her children have grown up, familiarizing themselves with every inch.

“I remember taking my son there on the Fourth of July when he was just 3 weeks old. It was the first place we went with him as a newborn,” Dakoske Koslu said.

She and her husband biked to the club in the aftermath of the fire, greeted by the charred remains of the building on Wednesday afternoon.

“The destruction is unbelievable. It’s clear that the fire was burning intensely on the second floor,” Dakoske Koslu said. “There’s nothing left.”

The second floor once housed a collection of the club’s prestigious racing trophies, kept on display for members and visitors. The fire melted all but a single salvageable California Cup. Most notably, the priceless King of Spain Trophy, acquired in 1929 from King Alfonso XIII, was lost.

Additionally, the club lost cherished photographs of every past commodore, a significant position within a yacht club. Members said they didn’t know if anyone had digitized the images of the commodores or of the club’s founders.

“We would tell yachting stories at the bar around lots of memorabilia, and the yachting artifacts behind the bar are all gone now,” Tom Materna said. “The yacht club provided us a facility for the off-the-water celebrations after hard-fought competition on the water.”

Boats on the water with palm trees in the background

The CYC dates to the early 1920s, started by boat owners from the Los Angeles Athletic Club and other yacht clubs. The Board of Harbor Commissioners approved the first clubhouse in 1922, designed by famed architect Edwin Bergstrom, co-designer of the Pentagon.

In 1965, the yacht club submitted a proposal for an all-encompassing $1-million, two-story, 10,000-square-foot clubhouse on four acres off Admiralty Way. Members envisioned a state-of-the-art facility with 170 boat slips, a guest dock, a small boat hoist and a dry land storage facility for boats. The clubhouse that resulted was dedicated on June 10, 1967.

Then-Commodore William A. DeGroot Jr. told The Times that the triangular parcel of land on which the clubhouse still sits is a “perfectly logical place for a club facility, and a commanding view down the main channel of the marina.”

Though the building has historical significance to its members, it does not have a historic designation, according to Linda Dishman, president of the Los Angeles Conservancy.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and so grateful for the outpouring of support from the community and our members,” Myers said. “CYC has been a beacon for the nautical community for the past 101 years.”

Materna, 68, first found out about the fire through Facebook as friends posted videos and photos of the damage Tuesday morning. Then he began receiving calls and text messages from friends.

“Everybody woke up in the morning and realized we’d lost a significant part of the sailing community,” Materna said.

His connection to the club dates back nearly 52 years, to when he was just 16 years old. After spending 30 years sailing professionally with Hobie Cats, mainly racing catamarans — a watercraft with two parallel hulls of equal size — he recently served as a crew member on other club members’ racing yachts.

The CYC is pivotal in the boat racing community, organizing and hosting events such as the Optimist National Championship and Junior Olympic trials, Materna said. He fondly remembers the hundreds of people from across the globe converging on the marina for similar events.

The main topic among members now is what’s next for the club. Dakoske Koslu noted that the club’s ownership changed over the last few years, and many are unsure and concerned about the club’s continuation after the fire.

The club relocated to the marina in 1967, leasing the land it sits on from the county.

“I don’t think the county has really valued the contributions of the California Yacht Club as an important part of the Marina. They value Trader Joe’s because it’s more money for them,” Dakoske Koslu said.

Dakoske Koslu said she’s seen numerous small marine-oriented businesses displaced from the marina, making way for more commercialized developments such as Trader Joe’s and Recreational Equipment Inc.
