We came again for the croquettes and took the mixed platter with 3 pieces (ham, cheese and of course the signature shrimp filling). A year and a half ago I was more impressed than now. The shrimp filling was way better than the 2 other... croquettes, still it did not really convince. Too few shrimp perhaps, no cognac in the filling? Not sure but it made the place, busy as always, feel a bit overrated. Service, as always, friendly and efficient and easy free parking as well. More

Oh my word - what a find This restaurant was recommended by Visit Bruges and boy were we not disappointed. It’s tucked away on Zebrugge marina and looks a bit industrial from outside but once inside it’s seafood and shell fish heaven Ordered the seafood... platter which was enormous, even without the lobster…langoustines, prawns, crab, oysters, razor clams, brown shrimps, scallops whelks and periwinkles…piled high on a tray of ice and loads of them… Never tasted things so fresh..pure and simple and absolutely wonderful Will definitely be back..a great stop on the way to Bruges for the weekend.. thank you More

Found this restaurant by chance whilst staying in a nearby hotel. Very busy (I arrived before 19:00 and got the last table - people arriving later had to sit at the bar to eat as part of the restaurant was closed for a private function).... Good choice of fish dishes and an extensive wine list.Friendly staff, service a little slow as they were busy. Menu only avaiable in Dutch but the staff speak good english. Great atsmosphere, would go again. More

queuing outside in the wind and rain, the young venue manager told us a half hour wait but in the end it took an hour. We tried to book but couldn't. Making people wait outside like that on an evening when it is almost impossible... to find an open restaurant is not very correct. but anyway, with two glasses of wine in hand, we witnessed a gentleman going out to pee on a van. This gentleman seemed to be already very drunk. Later we will have dinner in what they call. A heated covered terrace. everywhere gas appliances terrace where it was still raining inside, they had to put cushions under the raindrops and the cold that still sent shivers down your spine. The famous gentleman had gone back to pee outside, we saw him through the window and then when he came back without washing his hands… he went back to the bar with other people who weren't very popular… and he started to shell shrimps!!! ! waouuu hygiene. I asked the boys who it was. That's where I was told, but it's the owner of the place. Wow that's where we're coming from. Honestly, it's really not good. Shrimp croquettes lack shrimp. The €39 fish are served with mayonnaise in plastic containers like at McDonald's. And the service is terrible. It took 25 minutes to get the bill. My wife even caught the young, supposedly restaurant manager, powdering his nose in the toilet. That's live life. Never again. More

Charming place. You cannot book in advance. We tried the Saturday evening arriving at 7:00 pm and we were told we should wait for 1 1/2 hour. We tried again on Sunday at the same time and there were a few tables left. Food was... delicious. We very much recommend the shrimp soup and the eal which is served on a toast with a delicious dressing. The salmon is also very good. Very much recommended. More

A place no walk will take you, no road sign directing, not a single interesting thing to see unless.......you have a yacht in a cheap parking space, you have an urgent need for a new fishing rod, you are a migrant in search of a... truck to the UK or a marine officer (one of the three) of the Belgian navy. So basically you will go because I and many others will tell you, tale telling, mouth marketing, gossip of the stomach. And yes, shrimp do sing, as they are fried in a melting crust. And cod sing and dance, because they found a simple way to meet their creator. Plain and simple, fast as ever. Expect no style, no fancy, no reservation, expect a crowd, a waiting queue but oh man, read and listen and go.... More

Located close to port of Zeebrugge. Car parking in area. You can't make a reservation. It is usually crowded. Second time we went and were immediately taken to a table on their large terras. Excellent shrimp croquettes. Fish soup is fine but not very traditional.... Mainly fish, limited choice but we found what we were looking for. Very good service. Nice white wine collection. Went to this place on a monday afternoon, for something to eat. The place looked nice, and it was. They where rather busy, but we got a table and sat down to eat. The menu, was short, but we wheren't aware they mostly served small... meals. We ordered some meals and they where nice and good. It took some time to get the meal, but I guess this is was due to many customers this evening. More

The reviews promised us the best shrimp croquettes of Belgium and a cosy informal place. What we got was a big disappointment. First, a fundraising bbq is better organized and one has been sitting better and served better then in this place on tuesday 21th... of July. We were a party of seven, arrived at 5:45 pm, sitting at a table of six. After almost one and a half hour we got: no shrimp croquettes (finished), no fried langoustines (finished), no platter of seafood (limited ingredients because some ingredients were finished). Instead we got -with lots of interruptions in service-: a really dirty menu to 'choose' from, shrimps to peel, two platter boiled langoustinetails while we waited to order, mayonaise, cocktailsauce, six slices of bread (2,50 euro for two slices and some butter, no knives, the dark bread is better because the slices are bigger), drinks, excuses of the boss and still a bill of 80 euro. Unfortunately for us, 't Werftje could not meet the expectations. Oh yes: there was still lobster available, and cheese croquettes, and some other dishes too i think, but by the time somebody of the staff made that clear to us (1 hour after we arrived), and after the experience of the chaotique service, we already made up our mind about the place. 'T Werftje turned out to be a disappointement. Some advice: go and get some shrimp croquettes and mussels in the Sea Witch just arround the corner; really good food, free french fries, and the best service ever! More

As a countrymen stated in his review before: this is a very good place to enjoy fresh seafood. BUT the prices are way too high and seem to have been raised to pay for the renovations/upgrade of the place.

Food pretty good, slow service, but pay attention that only belgian cards are acceptable for payment. A drunk waiter drove me to the closest bank that was closed so I have to left my girlfriend alone at the table to go to the close city... that is 15-20 mins away to take cash. Romantic dinner waist. One of the best croquettes of te seaside. Be there early though, as it is rather full at 12:00 already. Quick service. Not to advise with children, even if they well behave, they are not appreciated.

Based on their website you would be right to expect high quality seafood. What you get is an industrial sized "shove it on their plates and sell it is expensive as possible". Their "famous" shrimp croquettes are industrial. The crab is served straight from the... fridge. They do not even bother to make the effort to pretend anything is freshly prepared. The rudeness of the service staff when I asked why I was served something straight out of the fridge when I could reasonably expect a fresh meal was beyond description. They tried to make me feel like a fool who does not belong here, since he does not know anything about seafood. The menu is embarrisingly short on fresh fish (usually 1 option: cod). Yes, there are shell fish on offer. If you want to feel like a fool go ahead and order a platter for > €50. Count how many oysters you get, how much lobster there is and compare this with the amount of cheap rubish you get served on the same plate. More

The best restaurants in Zeebrugge

On this page I’m sharing my favorite restaurants in Zeebrugge and Lissewege in Belgium . Zeebrugge is best known for its fresh seafood as it’s a coastal town, but on this page I’m showing you that you can also eat delicious in Zeebrugge if you eat vegetarian. So if you’re asking me, these are the best restaurants in Zeebrugge. I’ve also added one in Lissewege as this town is super close and is part of the same municipality.

Restaurant Lagaar

Restaurant Lagaar can be found near the beach of Zeebrugge and consists of two parts. The bistro that has a fancy atmosphere with white table linnen and big paintings on the wall. And the part where the bar is, that looks like an old train compartment. The name ‘Lagaar’ is derived from the French word for ‘station’ (La gare). This part has red walls and the seats are old train seats. You can choose your table according to your mood. They serve high-quality meat and fish dishes but on request they also make vegetarian dishes. I had a very tasty burrata dish with courgetti and tomatoes as a starter. And as a main dish I had pearl couscous with veggie balls and soy beans.

ONA by ‘t Werftje

ONA by ‘t Werftje is a concept by (you’ve guessed it) Cafe ‘t Werftje. It’s located on the first floor and has a terrace overlooking the harbour. So ONA by ‘t Werftje is perfect to enjoy your lunch, drinks or dinner with a view. ONA by ‘t Werftje mostly serves smaller dishes to share, tapas style. They’re specialised in seafood, which is very suitable with its harbour views. I went there for lunch and I had the Croque Monsieur with truffle (without ham to make it vegetarian). The truffle was such a super tasty addition to this grilled cheese sandwich!

Opposite of ONA by ‘t Werftje you’ll find Port Basil, a pizza restaurant. They serve pizza’s Napels style in a industrial style premises. They’ve got a large variety in pizza’s on the menu. There are several delicious vegetarian options including the Pizza Grigliata pictured here. It’s a pizza with tomato, Fior de Latte cheese, smoked mozzarella, Courgette, Aubergine, Basil and mushrooms.

Banana Moon Beach Club

In my opinion the best beach bar in Zeebrugge is Banana Moon Beach Club. It has such a relaxed atmosphere. They’ve got many tables right on the sand. They’ve got an extended drinks menu and all kinds of cocktails. They’ve also got good mocktails if you’re prefer your drinks alcohol-free. They also serve some snacks like crisps and nachos if you’ve got an appetite. Extra perk: they also have sun beds and umbrellas that you can reserve.

Huyze Saeftinghe

Huyze Saeftinghe isn’t in Zeebrugge, but in neighboring Lissewege. Lissewege is an adorable village with white houses located around the main square. Huyze Saeftinghe is a restaurant located on the main square with a nice terrace overlooking the big church. It’s great for people watching and lovely to sit in the shade of the trees on sunny days. They’ve got a diverse menu with all kinds of dishes. For vegetarians they’ve got tasty cheese croquettes. As one of their dishes of the day when I was there they had this vegan dish of sweet potato with chickpeas and Thai curry.

Marina Zeebrugge

The Marina of Zeebrugge is situated in the old fishing harbour near the city centre. It offers berths and accommodation for passers-by. Zeebrugge is known for its fresh fish, many restaurants and commercial businesses and is near Knokke and historic Brugges.

In this Marina, there are berths for larger boats, with a maximum lenght of 18.00 meters and a maximum draught of 13.50 meters. There’s a travelift available for boats that weigh up to 25 tons.

Royal Belgium Sailing Club Zeebrugge

The Royal Belgian Sailing Club was established in 1863 and since 1951 explotation of the marina of Zeebrugge was entrusted to the RBSC.

The Marina is beautifully located in old fishermen’s area of Zeebrugge, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, marine services and public transport. We have 250 fully serviced berths. All facilities are available: diesel pump, toilets, free WIFI, sanitary facilities, laundry room, free bike rental and cozy club house.

When you sail into the dok, you can call the harbour master on channel 23.

Close to Zeebrugge you can find the wonderful medieval city of Bruges and the 2 coastal cities Blankenberge and Knokke-Heist.

Our Restaurant Manager Tomislav Karačić is responsible for overseeing both our Front and back of House Teams.

After finishing one of the most recognized universities in hospitality in Switzerland he spent years gaining international experience in various well established and recognized restaurants across Europe before deciding to make Dubrovnik his home and joining our team.

His expertise and knowledge will make sure that our guests are provided with a memorable, long-lasting impression and a unique experience.

Come by Midtown Yacht Club and enjoy a cold beer and great food cart snacks for a reasonable price.  You’ll find good people and no hassle with a relaxed vibe.  We don’t have a dock to moor your boat, but you won’t need a membership and we aren’t fussy around here.

Nestled on the end of the Marina, the world’s first Bvlgari Marina and Yacht Club is a unique destination which overlooks a 46-boat harbour and recreates the charm of a Mediterranean atmosphere in the heart of the Gulf. Open for lunch and dinner, it features an Italian Restaurant specializing in fish conceived to offer its diners a timeless dining experience.

The Yacht Club Pool

The Yacht Club's custom-designed pool looks out onto the world's tallest tower, conjuring the soul of the Roman jeweller in every facet of its unique design. Intricate details at the bottom of the pool are inspired by vintage brooches from the 1920s, giving the impression of gemstones scattered in the water. Thousands of emerald green hand-laid tiles and glass mosaic pieces from Bisazza embellish the pool's 18 cabanas, completing the dazzling décor.

Dario Abbate, Executive Chef Bvlgari Resort Dubai

Executive Chef Dario Abbate brings 15 years of culinary experience to his role as Executive Chef at Bvlgari Resort Dubai. Born in Italy and trained in France, Chef Dario began his career at a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris before returning to Italy to deepen his experience in regional cuisine. From Sorrento to Roma and Milano, he worked in and eventually helmed some of the country's most illustrious kitchens.
