Do I need my own insurance to rent a boat?

You do not need boat insurance when renting with Boatsetter. Coverage is provided under the Peer-to-Peer Boat Rental Policy, which is underwritten by GEICO Marine Insurance Company. The policy was written from the ground up as a stand-alone recreational boat rental insurance policy covering the period of time that the boat is being rented and is available for all non-commercially insured boats.

Does Boatsetter screen renters?

Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

Myke took care of everything for our yacht rental and answered all our questions. The crew on the yacht was AMAZING! My family had the time of their lives. Anytime we are back in Miami looking to rent a yacht, Myke will be without a doubt who we book with.

This was my first time renting a boat in Miami and I’m sooo happy I found Myke to work with. I’ve heard so many terrible stories about yacht rental companies in Miami, especially after giving them a deposit for the yacht. I did a lot of research, and eventually found Myke. He was extremely helpful in every single aspect of my yacht charter (even getting me the dimensions of a table on the boat for a tablecloth I wanted to bring on), always responsive, and just very nice!!!! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a yacht rental in Miami.

This company is phenomenal and made the process of booking a luxury yacht charter so easy. Vanessa helped me plan my 40 th  birthday celebration. It was a truly unforgettable experience.  I booked a 150’ yacht in The Bahamas. During my trip, we explored the Exumas. Each day was better than the day before!  My favorite part of the trip was swimming with the nurse sharks at Compass Cay. The captain and crew were also incredible. They were extremely professional and friendly. I never had a chance to even ask for anything, they were on top of everything!  I recommend using this company for your next yacht charter.

Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Can I rent jet skis with the boat/yacht?

Yes we offer jet ski’s and can bring them to you while boating. The minimum is 1 hour and the rate per hour is $175

Do you have captains? All boats and yachts include a captain in the price. We do not offer rentals without captains.

What is included in All-Inclusive boat rental?

All-inclusive rentals includes the captain, taxes, fuel, marina docking fees, cooler full of ice, floats and rafts.

What are we allowed to bring?

Guests can bring food and drinks. BYOB. Canned alcoholic beverages are accepted.  We have a grill, so feel free to bring your meat, chicken, hot dogs or veggies (please call at least 24 hours ahead of time to request the grill). For the grill, you should also bring paper plates and cups. Also, don’t forget to pack your sunscreen, sunglasses, spare clothes, towels, and water bottles.

No glass containers, plastic bags or balloons are allowed.

The host was great. Beautiful experience being on a yacht for the first time with some friends and myself. I recommend this charter if you’re trying to experience something new! Water was beautiful the weather was great. Jet skis are available upon request. Catering is an option. We had a seafood boil which was delicious!! Enjoyed every minute of it. The day of my charter, I got there a little early as instructed, and was greeted by an extremely friendly captain and an immaculate yacht. When I tell you this was the nicest yacht I’ve ever been on, that is an understatement. Beautiful hardwood floor, state of the art sound system, and the best lighting on any yacht in the water; Yacht Maryam did not miss in any way! The stew was also super friendly and took care of all my needs as fast as they could. They offered us a personal chef as well, and he was absolutely incredible!!! 5 start meals being cooked while we were enjoying the Miami views, there’s just nothing like it.
