Disney's Yacht Club Resort

Walt Disney World Resorts Yacht Club Resort Main | Rooms | Dining | Recreation | Resort Map

Like Disney's Beach Club Resort , Disney's Yacht Club Resort has the distinct advantage of its close proximity to Epcot . A short ten-minute walk is all that it takes to get to the International Gateway entrance of the World Showcase at Epcot ®. For guests who arrive at this entrance prior to the World Showcase “official” opening time of 11:00 a.m., there will be Cast Members to escort guests to Future World. Buses and Friendship launches will take guests to other Walt Disney World® Resort destinations.

  • Magic Kingdom ® Park: Take the Magic Kingdom ® Park bus from the front of the resort. Bus service is shared by Disney's Beach Club Resort , and Disney's BoardWalk Resort as well. A leisurely, but more scenic alternative, is to walk through Epcot ® and take the Monorail to the Ticket & Transportation Center and switch to the Magic Kingdom ® Park Monorail from there.
  • Epcot ®: If it’s too hot to walk or if you simply want to conserve your energy, take the Friendship boat launch. But take note that the launch also stops at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin and Disney's BoardWalk Resort docks so the trip to Epcot ® could take up to 20 minutes.
  • Disney-MGM Studios : Take a separate Friendship launch. As with the Epcot ® launch, service is shared with the other Crescent Lake resorts. Once again, this trip can take up to 20 minutes.
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom ® Theme Park: Take the Disney's Animal Kingdom ® Theme Park bus. However, in addition to Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort guests, the bus also makes stops at Disney's Boardwalk Resort and the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin hotels.
  • Downtown Disney ® Marketplace, Downtown Disney ® West Side, Downtown Disney ® Pleasure Island: Take the Downtown Disney ® bus
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: Take the Downtown Disney ® bus
  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park: Take the Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park bus

For those wishing to go anywhere else on (or off) property, Bell Services can get a taxi for you. The bus stop at Disney's Yacht Club Resort is located to the left as you exit the lobby, on the other side of the porte cochere (valet loading and unloading area).

WDW – Getting Around the Walt Disney World Resort: Yacht Club Resort

  • WDW – Getting Around the…

Disney's Yacht Club

The Walt Disney World Resort provides complimentary transportation to almost every destination on property.  Disney’s Yacht Club Resort occasionally shares bus service with Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Villas.  Check with your resort concierge desk for information.

* Check park hours as alternative routes may be required due to bus schedules.*

Transportation to other Disney Resort hotels for dining experiences such as Whispering Canyon or ‘Ohana, and for dinner shows like Spirit of Aloha and Hoop De Doo Review require an extra step or two.  Bus service does not run between resorts, so travel to the nearest park and transfer to another bus is necessary.  The recommended steps are below:

*Some transportation options may be affected by inclement weather so check with Cast Members for alternate options. *

Taxi Service – Mears Taxi is the preferred taxi service of Walt Disney World, and provides service to all locations within Walt Disney World, as well as off-property.  They can be reached at (407) 699-9999.

Minnie Van Service – Minnie Vans are available to and from each resort, park, and Disney Springs for transportation to any Disney property location.  See the tip page on Minnie Vans for more information.

Disney Transportation Map

Our Disney Transportation Map is an interactive map designed to help you plan your next Disney vacation. Use it to determine which Disney Resort is the best fit for your next trip to Florida!

How to Use the Disney Transportation Map and Guide

The massive Walt Disney World Resort transportation system can be confusing. Use our Disney World Transportation Map/Guide to navigate your way around the park. We provide the bus, monorail, and boat routes you will need to reach your destination.

To use the interactive Disney World Transportation Map and Guide, simply click on the name of the Disney Resort you wish to depart from or arrive at. You will see the Disney transportation options available to you. The transportation routes are color-coded and highlighted to correspond with the information in the legend key. Note that certain destinations do not have direct transportation options, and you may need to take a connecting mode of transportation to reach your destination.

Walt Disney World Transportation Map and Guide

Disney Transport  is a massive public transportation system at Disney World that provides efficient transportation within the park. All modes of Disney transportation are complementary (i.e., FREE) and open to guests staying at a Disney Resort and staying off-property.

The system consists of buses, monorails, watercraft (water taxis, boats, and ferries), and other assorted modes of transport heading to areas throughout Disney World. Disney Transport provides guests with a wide variety of transportation options, including resorts to theme parks, theme parks to theme parks, resorts to resorts, and Disney Springs (the shopping, dining, and entertainment district). In other words, where ever you want to go to Disney World, you can get there using some form of Disney transportation. Plus, there are taxi services like Uber and Lyft within the park if you so choose.

Because of Disney’s large size – 25 Disney Resorts, 4 theme parks, and two water parks – deciding which mode of transportation you should use to get from point A to point B can be confusing. Thus, we have created a Disney World transportation map to help you find the best route to your destination. Continue reading for detailed information about transportation routes and pickup locations to and from each Disney Resort listed on the map.

How Does Walt Disney World Resort Transportation Work?

Disney provides transportation using buses, ferries/boats, monorails, as well as a few other options like railroad and parking lot trams. One of the great things about Disney transportation lines is that it is entirely free to use, which means you can potentially spend no money on transportation during your stay at the park. Of course, there are plenty of  parking lots if you choose to use your own car (you can even get free parking if you’re staying onsite) — and you can use taxi/Uber/Lyft options (extra charge) to speed up your arrival if necessary. However, if you plan on staying at a Disney Resort, there really is no need to open your wallet to get around Disney World.

As you can see from the Disney World Transportation Map, there is a wide availability of free transportation inside the park. In addition, every Disney Resort has stations/stops to catch various modes of transportation to a theme park, water park, and other destinations around Disney World.

(Note: For maps of the theme parks, water parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs, please reference our comprehensive  Disney World Map  page for printable PDF maps.)

Buses at Disney World

Buses provide Disney World guests a mode of transportation in locations where monorail or boat are not available, and walking is not an option. You can find Disney’s bus service connecting all in-park Disney resort hotels with each theme park and water park (most buses provide direct service), to/from Disney Springs, and service between parks.  Like all modes of Disney transportation, bus service is complimentary and offered to both visitors staying at a Walt Disney World Resort as well as those staying  off-site .

On average, Disney buses run every 20 minutes from all Walt Disney World Resorts, although wait times can vary. To accommodate breakfast dining reservations and parks with Extra Magic Hours, bus service to the theme parks typically begins at 6:30-7 a.m. (running on a less frequent basis). Buses run at full operation roughly one hour before the park opens and stop running up to 2 hours after the park closes in the evening. Buses to/from Disney Springs remain in operation until 2 a.m. Check with your Walt Disney World Resort for the latest information.

Larger  Disney World hotels have bus stops inside the resort grounds, whereas smaller resorts typically have stops near the resort’s front entrance. The bus stops for theme parks are located near the park entrance, and the Disney Springs stop is located near the Town Center entrance.

Transportation and Ticket Center & Monorail Service at Disney World

Disney Transportation Map

With over 150,000 daily riders, the  Disney World monorail  is one of the world’s most heavily used monorail systems. There are three monorail lines at Disney, all originating from the  Transportation and Ticket Center  (TTC). The Disney World Transportation Map lists them all. Monorail service is free for Resort guests and non-guests.

The “ Resort ” monorail line loops between Magic Kingdom and the TTC, making stops at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary Resorts.

The “ Express ” monorail bypasses the resorts and travels directly between the TTC and Magic Kingdom.

The “ Epcot ” monorail line provides service between the TTC and Epcot.

Guests staying at the Boardwalk-area resorts can either walk or take a ferry boat to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and buses to other theme parks and water parks.

Guests of other  Disney World Deluxe resorts  will use bus transportation to get to their theme park destination.

*see below for resort-specific transportation options

Transportation from Value and Moderate Disney Resorts to the Theme Parks

Guests staying at Value and Moderate resorts will  not  have access to either boats or monorail but  do  have access to buses that go directly to each theme park. Walking directly to a nearby park from your hotel may even be possible. For guests staying at Fort Wilderness, Disney offers a free shuttle service around the resort, making internal loops to take guests to different areas of the gigantic campground.

Transportation Between Resorts

Taking the free Disney transportation between parks can be confusing to the uninitiated. We recommend that you head to the nearest theme park and hop on a bus, monorail, or ferry to your destination. You may also find that heading to Disney Springs and catching a bus from there is an easy option. If time is of major concern, the quickest way to travel between resorts is by taxi/Uber/Lyft. This should cost you in the $10-$15 range, but the time you save may be worth the added expense.

Transportation from Disney Springs

Disney Springs  provides free parking throughout the day. While this may sound tempting to guests with cars, be warned that there is no direct transportation to the theme parks from Disney Springs. You can certainly take a bus or water taxi to other transportation hubs and find connecting services to the parks from there. Just be aware that transportation originating from Disney Springs will take longer than from other locations within Disney World. On a positive note, one-way service from the parks to Disney Springs  is  provided after 4 pm.

Transportation from Disney Value Resorts

All-star resorts – disney world transportation map.

We have grouped the All-Star Resorts (Movies, Music, and Sports) into one category because they all have similar transportation services. Bus loops going directly to the Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks may or may not pick up guests from other All-Star resorts along the way. The bus stop for All-Star Movies is located at Cinema Hall near Donald’s Double Feature Gifts & Sundries; All-Star Music is located at Melody Hall near Maestro Mickey’s Gifts & Sundries, and All-Star Sports is located at Stadium Hall near Sport Goofy Gifts & Sundries.

  • Magic Kingdom – Bus (service runs from 6:30-7:00 AM until 2 hours after the park closes).

Disney Skyliner

disney skyliner

Disney Skyliner is the newest Walt Disney World Resort transportation feature. The gondola lift system launched on September 29, 2019, and is now in full swing.

The Disney Skyliner  has 3 routes that connect to resorts and theme parks.

The lines for the Disney Skyliner are hubbed from a central station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. There are 5 stations in total.

The 3 Disney Skyliner routes are as follows:

Disney Skyliner Map

 Epcot Line

Route: Caribbean Beach – Riviera – Epcot

The Epcot Line is the longest of the 3 Disney Skyliner lines. The duration between Caribbean Beach and Riviera takes approximately three minutes, and the duration between Riviera and Epcot takes approximately six minutes.

Hollywood Studios Line

Route: Caribbean Beach – Hollywood Studios

The ride time for a one-way trip between Caribbean Beach and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park is 5 minutes.

Art of Animation and Pop Century Line

Route: Caribbean Beach – Art of Animation – Pop Century

The Art of Animation and Pop Century Line is the shortest route of the three. The ride time for a one-way trip on the Art of Animation route takes approximately 4 minutes.

Disney Minnie Vans, Uber, Lyft, and Taxi Service

For those of you who don’t mind spending the extra money to get better service, then Walt Disney World has a few options for you. Guests can opt for the convenience and playfulness of the Disney Minnie Vans service or the standard on-demand ride services of Lyft and Uber. And yes, there are still plenty of old-school taxis within the park as well. Any of these options will improve your comfort level and save you time.

Disney Minnie Vans

Disney Minnie Vans is Walt Disney World’s on-demand ride service. These vehicles operate daily from 6:30 am to 12:30 am and are available to anyone within the park.

Although Disney has partnered with Lyft on this service,  Disney Minnie Vans  are actually operated by Disney and driven by Disney Cast Members (Disney employees). To schedule a Disney Minnie Van, you simply open the standard Lyft app and call for a pickup as you would for a normal Lyft ride.

As far as the vehicles go, the vans are more like midsize SUVs. They are painted red with white polka dots (a la Minnie Mouse). Each vehicle will hold six passengers and carry two adjustable car seats for children.

The cost of Minnie Vans is much higher than a taxi, Uber, and standard Lyft rides. Be aware the Guests can only be picked up in designated pickup zones and not from sidewalks or non-designated areas. Minnie Vans are able to drop you off directly at the Magic Kingdom or next to Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness or anywhere else you wish to go.

Disney Minnie Vans are a good option if you don’t mind paying for comfort and point-to-point convenience.

Lyft and Uber

On-demand Lyft and Uber services are available throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

While cheaper than Minnie Vans and regular taxi services, be aware that “surge pricing” is in effect during periods of high demand. Prices for Lyft and Uber could potentially exceed taxi rates during this time. But, for the most part, Lyft and Uber will be the cheapest transportation option (other than the free Disney Transportation options listed above).

Using an on-demand ride service like Uber and Lyft is fairly straightforward. Just download one of the apps and use it on your Android or iPhone. Remember to stay put once you call for the car, so there is no confusion as you meet your driver.

Taxis are located throughout Walt Disney World Resort and use different brand names (Yellow Cab, City, Checker, or Safety). However, all the taxis are yellow, and all are operated by Mears Transportation (a company that has an official relationship with Disney). We recommend that you use the yellow cabs (sedans and vans) with meters, lest you pay more than you have to.

Call (407) 699-9999 to schedule a pickup, or have your hotel’s front desk call over to a Yellow Cab or taxi to wait for you.

The Ultimate Disney Yacht Club Review + Insider Tips

February 8, 2021 //  by  Kimberly Jones //   2 Comments

Disney’s Yacht Club opened back on November 5, 1990. Its sister location is the Beach Club located right next to it. The Yacht Club is a beautifully themed resort with nautical and beach themes. We are going to tell you everything you need to know about this wonderful resort in our Ultimate Disney Yacht Club Review + Insider Tips!

There are so many great aspects to this resort such as its location, pools, transportation options, and amenities. If you are thinking about staying at the Yacht Club, read on to find out if this resort is a good fit for you!

Where Is The Yacht Club At Disney Located?

One of the best reasons to stay at Disney’s Yacht Club is the fantastic location! This resort is within walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios . There are also several different transportation options to all of the parks, Disney Springs , and the water parks .

The Yacht Club is directly next to the Beach Club, and they share the pool. Now you not only have access to all of the Yacht Club’s restaurants and amenities, but you also have access to the Beach Club’s!

The Yacht and Beach Club are right across the water from Disney’s Boardwalk Resort . It is a short walk away to enjoy everything the Boardwalk has to offer! There are some fun restaurants, bars, and shops to explore there.

The Yacht Club is also very close to the Swan and Dolphin Hotels. There is a pathway to take you right over to these hotels for some extra fun as well!

Not only are there other resorts within walking distance of the Yacht Club, but there are also resorts that are a quick Skyliner trip away! Taking the Skyliner from Epcot’s International Gateway, you can visit Disney’s Riviera Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century , and Art of Animation!

Disney’s Yacht Club is in a very prime location with quick access to two of the parks and multiple resorts!

Checking in to The Yacht Club At Disney

Checking into the Yacht Club is extremely easy, and it doesn’t even require you to visit the front desk! The day of your reservation, you can check in to the resort from the My Disney Experience app . The app will let you know when your room is ready and what your room number will be! If you have magic bands or even your phone , you can head straight to your room and unlock the door.

Of course, you can always go the old school route and check-in at the front desk. All the cast members at Disney’s Yacht Club are extremely friendly and accommodating! A great tip to keep in mind is you can always see if there are any upgrades available for your room. We were able to get a free upgrade from a standard view to a water view!

The lobby is also absolutely amazing here. It has a very adventurous and nautical theme to it. You can find everything you need right in this area, such as the restaurant, lounge, bell services, and the front desk.

Right outside the backside of the lobby, there is a boardwalk that will lead you to the boat transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Transportation Options From The Yacht Club

We love all of the transportation options the Yacht Club has to offer, and we’re sure you will too! As mentioned before, there are walking paths to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The Epcot walking path is very short and will get you to the International Gateway in about 5 – 10 minutes. The entrance at International Gateway is on the back side of Epcot by World Showcase .

The walking path to Hollywood Studios is a little bit longer than the Epcot one. This one can take 20 minutes or more. However, there is boat transportation to Hollywood Studios if you don’t want to walk! You can find boat transportation right behind the lobby that will take you to Epcot or Hollywood Studios.

If you don’t want to walk or take the boat to Hollywood Studios, you can always take the Skyliner! There is a Skyliner location right outside International Gateway that will take you first to Disney’s Riviera Resort, and then to the Skyliner central hub at Caribbean Beach Resort. From here you will get off the Skyliner and get in line for a different Skyliner track to take you to Hollywood Studios.

So there are so many options to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, but what about the other parks? Disney has bus transportation from the Yacht Club to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Spring, and the water parks.

If you plan on spending a lot of time at either Epcot or Hollywood Studios, the Yacht Club is one of the best resorts to stay at.

Disney Yacht Club Room Review

There are several different room options at the Yacht Club. There is Standard View, Water View, Garden or Woods View, and 2 Bedroom Suites. All of the view rooms also have club level options.

I was able to stay in a Water View room. The room was absolutely delightful! It had a nautical theme to match the rest of the resort, and it was quite spacious. The room had two queen beds and a pull out couch, so it was able to sleep up to 5 guests. We only had 4 guests in our room, but I could imagine the pull out bed might make the room feel a little more cramped.

The room had large closets with space to hang clothes, and a big sink and bathroom area with two sinks. The shower had a sliding glass door, which I prefer over a curtain.

I really liked that this room had wood flooring compared to carpet. It added to the nautical theme very well. The room also had a balcony that looked over the back entrance of the lobby and the water. Overall, the room was very nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed its set up!

Yacht Club rooms average in price anywhere between $400 to over $3000 per night depending on what room you stay in and what time of the year you visit.

Dining Options At The Yacht Club

There are some really great and delicious dining options at the Yacht Club. This resort has two restaurants, two lounges, a quick service restaurant, a restaurant located in between the Yacht and Beach Club, and a pool bar.

The two restaurants at the Yacht Club are Ale & Compass and Yachtsman Steakhouse. Yachtsman Steakhouse is currently temporarily unavailable, but Ale & Compass is open for breakfast and dinner. This restaurant follows the nautical theme with a relaxing atmosphere and some delicious coastal eats.

The Ale & Compass Lounge is located adjacent to the restaurant. Here, you can order off the lounge menu and even the restaurant menu. This lounge can fill up quickly at night though, so make sure to grab a seat early if you want to eat or drink here.

The other lounge, Crew’s Cup Lounge,  is right next to Yachtsman Steakhouse and is also temporarily unavailable. We hope that the lounge and restaurant will open soon!

The quick service location shares a spot with the Yacht Club’s gift shop. When you enter the Market at Ale & Compass, on the right is the gift shop and on the left is the quick service restaurant. They serve coffee, sandwiches, pastries, and more. This is a great place to stop for a quick bite to eat to or from the parks!

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop is the hidden gem of the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts! This restaurant is located in between the two resorts and serves some wonderful food! They are open for lunch and dinner and they serve sandwiches and burgers. My favorite is their Grilled Cheese sandwich, its delicious!

However, save room for the best part of this restaurant. The ice cream! They have shakes, floats, and sundaes! You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose. If you’re feeling really brave though, try the Kitchen Sink sundae. This sundae is meant for 4 or more people, and includes every topping and a whole can of whipped cream! I have attempted it twice, and I still haven’t been able to finish it. Maybe you can!

Hurricane Hanna’s Grill is the pool bar located right next to Stormalong Bay. They have a few food items and some refreshing drinks.

If you’ve tried everything at the Yacht Club and want something different, head over to the Beach Club! Here you can find even more restaurants and tasty eats!

Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort

Yacht Club Swimming Pools

The Yacht and Beach Club have hands down the best swimming pools on Disney World property. It’s considered more of a small water park than swimming pools because it’s so large!

Stormalong Bay is 3 acres of refreshing fun! It includes a large sand bottomed pool and a lazy river. There are waterfalls, a volleyball net in the pool, and a water slide.

This water slide is no joke. You climb a large shipwrecked ship all the way to the top and then slide down this long and exciting slide! Stormalong Bay even has a “beach” area with sand to play with! After all that fun, go relax in one of 3 whirlpool spas.

Right by the entrance to the water slide is a small kid play area with a mini water slide. This is a great introduction to the big slide for nervous kids!

Don’t need all the excitement of Stormalong Bay? There are also 3 leisure pools at the Yacht and Beach Club for guests to enjoy.

If you plan on staying at the Yacht Club, you must plan a resort day into your schedule! Make some time for this awesome mini water park and relax away from the parks! You won’t regret it.

Amenities At The Yacht Club Resort

There are so many fun amenities and things to do at Disney’s Yacht Club. When it comes to activities, there are fishing excursions, a tennis court, a sand volleyball court, jogging trails, motorized boat rentals, an arcade, and a fitness center. Just ask the front desk if you’d like to book a fishing excursion or rent a boat to go out on the water!

The Yacht Club even has a spa! Ship Shape Massage Salon is a full service spa that can do massages, facials, hairstyling, and nails. We all need a relaxing day every once and awhile! Why not enjoy the spa on your day off from the parks?

The resort also has campfire activities, movies under the stars, and a Pirate Adventure Cruise (which is unfortunately temporarily unavailable at the moment). The Yacht Club is within walking distance of the Fantasia Gardens & Fairways Miniature Golf. Go show off your mini golf skills at this adorably themed course!

This resort really has a lot of fun things for you and your family to enjoy! You will definitely want to take a day away from the parks to enjoy this amazing resort!

Overall Thoughts On Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

We at Disney Trippers absolutely love Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The whole place is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. It has the perfect mix of being family friendly and adult friendly with lots of things to do. So whether you’re traveling with a bunch of adults or your kids, everyone will enjoy it!

Most everything is in super close distance to this resort. The only time you will have to take the bus is to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Spring, or the water parks. The other parks and some resorts are really easy to get to, making this a top notch location for a resort.

If you have a day off from the parks, make sure to enjoy all of the amenities the Yacht Club has to offer. You could spend a whole day just having fun at the resort! You definitely don’t want to miss out on this place!

We stayed at the Disney Yacht Club the last time we were at DW. We loved it. The staff was outstanding. It was an adult family vacation, and due to different work schedules, some family members had to fly in at different times. The staff accommodated each one and made them feel as if they already knew them. We loved the location as we could walk to different locations. We tried the Kitchen Sink sundae, but couldn’t finish it. We sure had fun trying. We actually took one day to enjoy the resort and were not disappointed. We spent time in the swimming pool, which was amazing with the sand bottom. Lunch was an delicious lobster roll and we finished off at the steakhouse. I would certainly recommend this resort to all who are considering a trip to Disney World.

How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom

posted by James Brockbank on August 7, 2022 // last updated on September 19, 2022

Disney Beach Club has a style inspired by New England. The Beach Club is among the renowned Walt Disney hotel resorts with theming and fabulous amenities. Its classic Disney hospitality and park transportation are worth your time!

But that’ll not be enough if you haven’t gone to Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom is the place that actualizes your fantasies and our guide will walk you through all your options for getting from the resort to the park.

Monorail System

Taking the bus, driving a car, walking from ttc.

To visit Magic Kingdom by Monorail , you’ll first need Park Hoppers. After which, the Monorail will then take you to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). At this point, you’ll need to transfer to the Resort Monorail. The monorail will transport you to the Contemporary Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Magic Kingdom.

transportation from disney yacht club to magic kingdom

The resort does not have direct transportation to the monorail because it is an Epcot Resort. But there are boats to ferry you to Epcot or Hollywood Studios and buses to more resorts. You can also choose to walk. However, you can stroll via Epcot to the main entry, dependent on hopper tickets, and get the monorail to MK from there.

The monorail trip is seamless, but there are occasions when it has to slow down, causing you to lose your balance abruptly. It can be worse if you’re standing and not gripping on anything. In that scenario, an open drink cup, popcorn container, or bottle may make a mess causing you to slip and fall. So, pay heed to the messages on eating, smoking, and drinking when traveling on the monorail.

Carry your bags on your lap to free up seats. Consider your monorail neighbors and do everything you can to support latecomers. Prepare to offer up your place for mothers with young children and senior people.

In areas where there are no boats or monorails and strolling is not viable, you’ll need to use the bus. You can move from any resort hotel in the park to every water park and theme park using the Disney bus service. Most buses offer direct services.

The buses also offer transportation to and from Magic Kingdom and between parks. Complimentary services provide free transportation for visitors staying at the resorts and elsewhere, and bus service is one among many.

Using a bus from the Beach Club to Magic Kingdom will take you around 25 minutes tops. Buses run, and you won’t wait for long. Park hours vary, with certain parks keeping longer hours on particular days.

You’ll not need to take the Monorail from TTC since the bus will stop at Magic Kingdom. It is also where other buses also drop off passengers or make stops.

If you feel like using a ride-sharing service like Lyft or Uber, It’ll come at a cost and descend at the TTC. Then you’d have to ride a ferryboat or Monorail to the Magic Kingdom Resort’s entrance. So, why not choose the bus?

Use the Disney watercraft to enjoy a spectacular view and a refreshing breeze. It’s a fun and easy way to go to and from Magic Kingdom and the resorts along The Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

Moving about in Disney World is simple when you board Walt Disney World Water Transportation. It includes boat and ferryboat transportation to Magic Kingdom park, certain Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and a water launch.

Those staying at certain Disney Property hotels may enjoy free boat rides. Water taxis, Ferries, and other Disney water transportation carry visitors to and from the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. They also cover Epcot, waterfront Disney Resorts, and Disney Springs, and most ferries run at intervals of 15-30 minutes.

The monorail is quicker and more regular. But, the hotel boat is only available to resort tourists, and you will be there during the year’s peak period. So remember that the ferryboats are terrific choices, particularly for repeat visitors.

You must first travel to the Magic Kingdom Toll Plaza at 3450 World Dr, Winter Garden, FL 34787. You then leave your car at the TTC at 1151 Seven Seas Drive, Orlando, FL 32836. You will take a vehicle that will transport you straight to the park’s entry after parking at the TTC.

At this point, you can take a monorail, a boat, or a bus to the park’s entrance. To begin your time at Magic Kingdom, you may find the craft or monorail more enjoyable. But, the shortest route is usually the best option.

Regular parking is $25 per car per day at Magic Kingdom, and it’ll be at your cost. You must spend $50 for each vehicle daily for preferential parking.

The TTC Monorail station is the authorized alighting spot for Magic Kingdom riders using Uber . Walt Disney World reopened the service with drop-off limitations ahead of park opening hours to reduce crowd levels at entry gates owing to COVID-19.

Every day at 9:00 a.m., the Magic Kingdom opens. You should anticipate delays in reaching the approved rideshare drop-off point should you come half an hour earlier before park opening.

Regardless of the inconveniences, passengers and motorists should only finish their travels at approved locations to avoid breaking the law. Be aware that regular drop-off site access will start after 8:30 a.m.

It is doable, but it will take a longer time. You may stroll from the TTC to the Polynesian Village Resort, then to the Grand Floridian Resort. You’ll then finish by walking to the park’s entry point through the pedestrian walkway from the Grand Floridian. Your trek will be a 1.5-mile stretch to Magic Kingdom from TTC.

Choosing the best mode of transportation from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom might be overwhelming. All the ways here provide excitement, so make your life easier by selecting the one that’ll work for you. Weigh the benefits and drawbacks, then go exploring!

Can You Take Water Transportation From The Yacht Club?

There is no direct water transportation from the Yacht Club to the Animal Kingdom park. Guests staying at the Yacht Club can use bus services or other transportation options mentioned below to reach Animal Kingdom. Water transportation at the resort connects select resorts to nearby theme parks and Disney Springs, but Animal Kingdom is not accessible via water routes due to the Animal Kingdom park’s remote location and the layout of the waterways. To get to Animal Kingdom from the Yacht Club, use the complimentary bus service provided by Disney, which is specifically designed to transport guests between different parts of the resort, including Disney Springs, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach and theme parks.

Can You Take The Monorail From The Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom Park?

Unfortunately, the Yacht Club is not connected to the Monorail and the Monorail does not serve Animal Kingdom park. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t ride the Monorail during your stay! The monorail connects select destinations such as the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and nearby resorts, but not the Yacht Club or Animal Kingdom. During your visit make plans and reservations for dining at one of the resorts that on the Monorail line and you can use the Monorail to travel for your evening out! The monorail connects several opening-day resorts — the Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian — where you can experience the Resort Monorail. This travel method requires you to first take a bus from the Yacht Club to one of these hotels.

Remember, while the resorts connected via the Resort Monorail provide easy access to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, you will still need to use a bus or other Disney transportation options to reach Animal Kingdom. It’s important to plan for additional travel time due to transfers.

  • Contemporary Resort: Here, the monorail glides through the main concourse. You can enjoy this experience by transferring from a Yacht Club bus.
  • Polynesian Village Resort: The monorail station here is a short stroll from the main lobby. After arriving by bus, you can travel to other theme parks or resorts on the monorail loop.
  • Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: This Victorian-style hotel is another stop on the Resort Monorail. Guests can switch from bus to monorail for a scenic route around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Travel Tip: If you’re looking for the most efficient route to Animal Kingdom, it is to stay on the bus service directly linking the Yacht Club Resort to the park.

Can You Take The Disney Skyliner From The Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom park?

You cannot take the Disney Skyliner from the Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom Park. The Disney Skyliner is an aerial gondola system that connects select Walt Disney World Resort hotels with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Yacht Club Resort, while being in proximity to Epcot, does not have a direct Skyliner route to Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom is not served by the Disney Skyliner system.

However, you can use it to visit several other locations originating near Disney’s Yacht Club Resort area at the Epcot International Gateway station.

While the Disney Skyliner does not provide direct service to Animal Kingdom, it does connect Epcot and Hollywood Studios directly, with interchange routes to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century Resort, and Riviera Resort. To reach Animal Kingdom, you will disembark at the Hollywood Studios station and use a bus or other ground transportation options.

Walking Paths

No, despite the great ambitions of some of you to see how many steps you can get in, you cannot walk from the Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom Park. The distances between the Walt Disney World Resort hotels and the theme parks can be quite substantial, and the layout of the roads, as well as the natural geography of the area, do not support pedestrian access from the Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom. The resort is designed with specific pathways for walking and biking primarily within and between nearby resorts or attractions, not for long-distance travel across the entire property. Animal Kingdom is located several miles away from the Yacht Club, making walking impractical and unsafe due to the lack of designated pedestrian paths over such distances and the heavy vehicular traffic. Guests looking to travel from the Yacht Club to Animal Kingdom are encouraged to use the complimentary bus service or other Disney transportation options provided for convenience and safety.

Ride-Sharing Services

Ride-sharing services are transportation options that allow travelers to book a ride through a mobile application, which connects them with drivers who use their personal vehicles to take passengers to their desired locations. At Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, you will find that both Uber and Lyft operate as popular ride-sharing options. These services offer a convenient and efficient way for you to travel from the resort to Animal Kingdom, another theme park, or various attractions within the Disney World area.

To use ride-sharing services, follow these steps:

  • Download the Lyft or Uber app to your smartphone and set up your account.
  • After signing in, specify your pickup location at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and set your destination to Animal Kingdom.
  • Select your preferred ride option; standard sedans usually accommodate up to 4 passengers, and larger vehicles are available for bigger groups.
  • Confirm your ride and wait for your driver at the designated pickup location at the resort.

For guests traveling to Orlando International Airport, ride-sharing can be a cost-effective and straightforward travel option. The price for a ride varies based on the time of day, traffic conditions, and the type of vehicle you select. During peak times, when the demand for ride-shares increases, rates may be higher due to surge pricing. Remember to consider your travel budget and plan accordingly.

The convenience of ride-sharing services at Disney resort properties includes the benefit of not worrying about navigating unfamiliar roads, dealing with parking, or waiting for shuttle buses. With these services, you enjoy direct transportation to your destination while someone else manages the driving.

When you decide to travel from the resort to Animal Kingdom by car, you’ll find self-parking available for your use. Disney Resort guests are privy to the benefit of complimentary standard self-parking at the resort itself.

For your convenience, here is a breakdown of important considerations regarding personal vehicle parking:

  • Location : Parking is located near the main entrance of the resort, ensuring easy access to your vehicle at all times.
  • Cost : As a guest of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, standard self-parking at the resort is included in your stay at no additional charge.
  • Transportation Options : In addition to driving, you have several complimentary transportation options to Disney parks, including bus service and boat transportation, which can enhance your experience by alleviating the need to drive and park at the parks.
  • Disney Park Parking : When driving to Animal Kingdom, remember that standard parking at the theme park is not complimentary and is subject to a parking fee unless you are a Disney World Annual Passholder.
  • Arrival : Arrive early to ensure the best parking spots and to reduce travel time to the park entrance.
  • Remember Your Spot : Make a note of your parking section at Animal Kingdom to facilitate an effortless return to your car after a day of adventure.

Should you choose to use your personal vehicle throughout your stay, you’ll enjoy the ease of complimentary parking at the resort and have the choice to pay for parking at the Disney parks, unless other free parking options apply to you.

Experience the themed vehicles, usually adorned with iconic polka dots that represent the character Minnie Mouse, adding a unique touch to your transport. These vans are driven by knowledgeable Disney Cast Members, contributing additional magic to your journey.

Duration: A trip from Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to Animal Kingdom typically lasts around 20 minutes, though times may vary based on traffic conditions.

Car Services

Car service is a private mode of ground transportation that offers personalized travel between locations. These services range from standard sedans and town cars to more luxurious limousines.

Transportation Options at Disney’s Beach Club (What You Need to Know)

When it comes to transportation options at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you’ll find more than a few! Below, we’ll discuss how to get from Disney’s Beach Club to the theme parks, Disney Springs, water parks, popular destinations, and more.

You can use any of the links to get to a specific section more quickly:

  • How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom
  • How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Epcot
  • How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Hollywood Studios
  • How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Animal Kingdom
  • How to Get from Disney’s Beach Club to Disney Springs

Often, I’ve found myself waiting for a bus at Disney’s Beach Club. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen other guests sitting there waiting like me. Only, they are waiting for a bus that’s not coming.

For example, one morning, we were at the bus stop bright and early. A large family who were in a hurry to get to breakfast at Akershus arrived. After a few moments of waiting, they began asking if anyone knew how to get to Akershus once they got to the park.

Since they asked, I intervened and explained that they first needed to exit the bus stop and walk back to the resort. Then, I continued with the rest of the directions. (You can walk to Epcot from the Beach Club. There isn’t a bus.)

The saying, “If you don’t know, you don’t know,” has become common in my life.

We can all agree that there are many things that many of us don’t know. However, I know a lot about getting around Disney’s Beach Club from practice.

Therefore, I thought we would go over the basics for using the transportation options at Disney’s Beach Club. Hopefully, these tips will help you efficiently navigate the area.

Transportation Options at Disney’s Beach Club

The following modes of transportation are available at Disney’s Beach Club:

  • Friendship Boats
  • Disney Bus Service
  • (The Skyliner is within walking distance.)

Below, we’ll look at the best ways to get to and from Disneys Beach Club, including the most direct routes. Here are a few of the routes we’ll look at below:

  • How to get from the Beach Club to Epcot
  • Traveling from the Beach Club to Hollywood Studios
  • The Best Way to get from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom
  • How to get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom from the Beach Club
  • Getting to Disney Springs from the Beach Club

Additionally, I’ll share a few tips for traveling from the Beach Club to other popular destinations. Some of those destinations include the water parks, Disney’s Boardwalk, and resorts in the Magic Kingdom area .

How to Get to Epcot from Disney’s Beach Club

Location is often the primary reason guests stay at Disney’s Beach Club. It takes approximately five minutes to walk between the Beach Club and Epcot.

Of course, that walk depends on how fast or slow you walk and which exit you use when leaving the resort. But most will come and go from the resort lobby.

exiting the lobby to walk from Beach Club to Epcot

First, exit the Beach Club and walk out to the pathway along Crescent Lake. Then, you’ll take a left and walk straight to Epcot’s International Gateway , Epcot’s back entrance. You’ll have a beautiful view of Disney’s Boardwalk across the lake.

view of Crescent Lake when walking to Epcot

It’s much easier to enter the park at the International Gateway than the front entrance. However, it is crowded here at certain times, especially at rope drop first thing in the morning.

Guests who use this secondary entrance are visiting from the surrounding Epcot Resorts and Skyliner Resorts . Meanwhile, guests of the other Walt Disney World Resorts and off-property guests enter via the park’s front entrance.

So, there is a significant difference in crowds between the two entrances. For reference, Epcot is the only park with multiple entrances.

If you prefer not to walk to Epcot, you can take Disney’s Friendship Boat service from the Yacht Club’s dock to Epcot. However, this route is significantly longer and requires an additional stop.

Exiting the Beach Club, you’ll take a right on the walkway and head to the lighthouse. I haven’t timed it exactly, but there isn’t much difference between walking to the boat dock versus walking to Epcot.

Once you reach the lighthouse, you’ll board the boat on the left-hand side of the dock. This boat then travels across the lake to Disney’s Boardwalk, where it will load and unload before moving on to Epcot.

boat dock

Disney’s Beach Club to Hollywood Studios

You can get to and from Disney’s Beach Club to Hollywood Studios via the Friendship Boat Service or walk. However, the walk to Hollywood Studios might be considerably long for some.

It takes approximately 17 minutes to walk from Disney’s Beach Club to Hollywood Studios at an average pace. When you leave Beach Club, you’ll take a right on the pathway along Crescent Lake.

Then, you’ll head toward Disney’s Swan and Dolphin. At the center of the bridge, you’ll take a slight left toward Hollywood Studios. (If you take a hard left, you’ll end up at Disney’s Boardwalk. However, this will be pretty obvious.)

We have a separate article detailing walking between the two parks if you want to learn more: Walking Between Hollywood Studios and Epcot .

Sign shows directional for walking from Beach Club to Hollywood Studios.

Walking is one of the nicest ways to decompress after leaving the parks. Or you can always stretch your legs in preparation for the day first thing in the morning.

However, given the long walk, most guests prefer to take the Friendship Boats to Hollywood Studios. Even I take them from time to time when it’s miserably hot.

So when you leave Beach Club, you’ll walk to the boat dock at the lighthouse. Those going to Hollywood Studios will board on the right-hand side of the dock.

After boarding, you’ll stop at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin before heading to Hollywood Studios. While the boat ride to Hollywood Studios is usually quicker than walking, waiting for the next boat’s arrival can take time. Additionally, you’ll have to make that extra hotel stop on the way.

Friendship Boat picking up guests from Disney's Beach Club

Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom

You’ll leave the resort’s front entrance when heading to Magic Kingdom from Disney’s Beach Club. From there, you’ll stay to the left and enter this covered walkway leading to the bus stop at Disney’s Beach Club.

walkway from the lobby to the resort bus stop at Disney's Beach Club

Signage is available that indicates where the buses travel. You might also note that the sign mentions you’ll need to take boats or use the walkways to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Sign reads Disney's Beach Club bus to Magic Kingdom and lists other destinations.

Bus transportation is shared with Disney’s Yacht Club. It stops at the Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Magic Kingdom. So, on the way back, the bus will stop at Yacht Club before the Beach Club.

Since the resorts are connected, you can exit at Yacht Club and take the back walkway by Stormalong Bay . It’s a pleasant walk and often nice to get off a crowded bus. But if you’re exhausted, you’ll likely want to wait for the Beach Club. It will only take a few more minutes to get there.

Magic Kingdom Bus at Beach Club bus stop

Disney’s Beach Club to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

You’ll also catch a bus from Disney’s Beach Club to the theme park when visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It takes approximately 10 minutes to travel between the resort and the theme park.

transportation from disney yacht club to magic kingdom

Disney’s Beach Club to Disney Springs

You will also take a bus from Disney’s Beach Club to Disney Springs. Often, this route is shared between all three of the Epcot Resorts. It is not uncommon for the bus to stop at Disney’s Yacht Club, Beach Club, and then Disney’s Boardwalk Inn before heading to Disney Springs.

Thankfully, the route is short, and the stops are typically quick. I always feel like it’s usually not a big deal if you expect the stop and a few extra minutes. But if you don’t know the bus makes extra stops, it can feel like it’s taking forever.

If you’re visiting over Christmas, Easter, or some other frightfully busy time of year, you probably won’t make extra stops at the Boardwalk. However, throughout the slower times of the day, the buses are almost always shared between Yacht and Beach Club.

Wait Times and Bus Hours for Disney’s Beach Club

Per Disney, “ Bus service between Disney Resort Hotels and Disney Theme Parks  begins 45 minutes prior to opening and ends one hour after closing.” That time includes extended theme park hours in the morning for resort guests and extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests.

Wait times are posted at the bus stop. These times are transmitted from the bus, so they are accurate. From time to time, you will see the time fluctuate. That happens when a bus is delayed. For example, they might stop at a traffic light.

Wait times for the buses at Disney's Beach Club

Accessibility at Disney’s Beach Club

Most transportation options at Disney’s Beach Club accommodate guests with accessibility needs. Disney provides an overview of each form of transportation on their website.

All bus stops have a separate spot for guests in wheelchairs and ECVs to wait. Additionally, the Friendship Boats accommodate most wheelchairs and ECVs.

Disney has an excellent resource on their site if you want to learn more:  Transportation and Mobility Disabilities at Disney World

More Transportation Tips for Disney’s Beach Club

One of the things we’ve yet to discuss is how to get to Disney’s Water Parks from the Beach Club Resort. Most of the time, you’ll have to take a bus from the resort to another location. Then, you’ll transfer to another bus to the water park.

For Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, you’ll take a bus to Disney Springs. From there, you’ll board a bus that travels across the street to the water park.

You’ll take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for Blizzard Beach. There, you’ll board another bus that travels directly to Blizzard Beach.

I think it’s fairly easy to get to the water parks. However, by the end of the day, it feels like a hassle to return to the resort.

We almost always drive our car to the water park so we can come and go at our leisure. You might consider taking the bus on your way and ordering a Minnie Van or a car service on the way back.

I mention this because you’ll get dropped off at the main bus stop at Disney Springs. Then, you’ll have to walk to the pick-up area and find the return bus stop to Disney’s Beach Club.

I don’t know about you, but I carry more to the water parks than to the regular parks. So I hate to tote all my belongings, including wet swimsuits, back to the bus stop.

Tip: Bring a pair of dry clothes to change into after you leave. When you return to the resort, you do not want to be in damp clothes on a bus with the air-conditioning turned up full-blast.

Beach Club to Disney’s Boardwalk

Those staying at Disney’s Beach Club will likely visit Disney’s Boardwalk at least once during their vacation. You’ll have two options for getting to the Boardwalk.

First, you can walk. It takes about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. Or you can take the Friendship Boat (on the Epcot side) over and exit at the Boardwalk. This will only take a few minutes, plus however long you have to wait for the boat.

Disney's Boardwalk as seen from Disney's Beach Club

Disney’s Beach Club to the Monorail Resorts

Additionally, most guests will want to visit the monorail resorts for dining or touring. There are several ways you can do this from the Beach Club.

Personally, I would take a bus from Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom. From there, you will have to walk through security at Magic Kingdom. Then you can walk, boat, or monorail to the following resorts:

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (walk, boat, monorail)
  • Disney’s Polynesian Resort (boat, monorail, technically can walk via the Grand Floridian walkway to Magic Kingdom)
  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort (walk or monorail)
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (boat)

Alternatively, you can walk or boat to Hollywood Studios from the Beach Club. After you get to Hollywood Studios, you can catch a bus to any of the Magic Kingdom Resorts .

Using the Skyliner When Staying at Disney’s Beach Club

Lastly, I wanted to share a few tips for using the Skyliner during your stay at Disney’s Beach Club. Skyliner stations are available at Epcot’s International Gateway and Hollywood Studios.

For example, if you want to take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios, you can do so. However, it won’t be any quicker than the Friendship Boats. This is something you would do more for leisure than convenience.

The Skyliner travels in this direction:

  • Epcot’s International Gateway (Sits outside the park entrance.)
  • Disney’s Riviera Resort (You are not required to exit here.)
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (Everyone must exit here.)
  • Then get in line for Hollywood Studios. (Or get in line for Art of Animation and Pop Century)

All guests must exit at Hollywood Studios. From there, you can turn around and travel back in the opposite direction if desired.

Final Thoughts on Transportation at Disney’s Beach Club

Hopefully, this article provided a few tips for using transportation on your Walt Disney World vacation . Understandably, Disney is a large place.

While getting around the property isn’t necessarily challenging, it is often frustrating not knowing the best way to do it. And when you stay somewhere as convenient as Disney’s Beach Club, you certainly want to know how to take advantage of the prime location.

What is Resort Hopping at Disney?

Resort Hopping at Disney is exactly how it sounds! You “hop” from resort to resort checking out all of the amazing properties Disney has to offer.

This experience allows guests to visit multiple Disney resorts in a single day, taking advantage of the free transportation options Disney offers, such as buses, boats, and the monorail.

Resort Hopping is perfect for those looking to enjoy the ambiance and unique offerings of each hotel, from signature restaurants and unique shops to meticulously themed pools and public areas, all while soaking in the distinctive Disney magic that each property has to offer.

What to Do When Resort Hopping

When resort hopping at Disney, you can immerse yourself in the splendor of each destination. Begin with a leisurely exploration of the lobbies, gift shops, and common areas. Some of the game rooms are epic!

Don’t miss the chance to dine at various resort-specific restaurants and be sure to schedule time for live entertainment, such as outdoor movies, campfires, and musical performances, available at select resorts.

Each resort offers its own magic, so take your time to discover the unique experiences that await beyond the parks.

What You Can’t Do When Resort Hopping

When resort hopping at Disney, it’s important to note the limitations to ensure a seamless experience.

Access to swimming pools and pool areas is exclusively reserved for guests staying at that specific resort, a policy strictly enforced to ensure the comfort and safety of its guests.

Similarly, parking at the resorts is intended for registered guests and those with confirmed dining reservations, so plan to use Disney’s free transportation options to move between resorts.

While resort hopping, you cannot participate in certain activities designed exclusively for staying guests, such as resort-specific fitness classes or certain recreational offerings.

It’s also crucial to respect the privacy and experience of staying guests by adhering to resort rules and etiquette during your visit.

Understanding these boundaries will help maximize your enjoyment of the accessible amenities and experiences while resort hopping.

Magic Kingdom Resorts on the Monorail Loop

The Magic Kingdom resorts on the Monorail Loop include:

  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Each offers easy monorail access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.  Each of these resorts provides its own unique themes and dining experiences.

Contemporary Resort

The California Grill, located at the top of the resort offers delicious cuisine and panoramic views of the Magic Kingdom, especially during the fireworks. The resort’s unique shops offer exclusive Disney merchandise, making it a fantastic spot for finding unique souvenirs.

Lastly, the outdoor viewing areas provide a fantastic vantage point for watching the Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake, offering a relaxing end to a day of exploration.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort combines sleek design with classic Disney charm, making it a top spot for resort hoppers looking for iconic sights and experiences.

Polynesian Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is a tropical paradise that transports guests to the South Pacific with its lush landscaping, water features, and themed decor.

When resort hopping here, don’t miss the opportunity to experience the ambiance of the Great Ceremonial House, where the sights and sounds immerse you in island culture.

A must-try is the nachos from Captain Cook’s, the resort’s quick-service cafe. We absolutely loved them for their unique twist on a classic snack, perfectly capturing the Polynesian flavor profile.

Another highlight is watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach of the resort.

The resort also boasts Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, a highly themed bar offering whimsical drinks in an interactive setting.

Grand Floridian

When resort hopping to the Grand Floridian, guests are treated to Victorian elegance, complete with a stunning lobby that houses a grand piano and an orchestra playing classic Disney tunes.

The resort’s dining options are a highlight, ranging from casual cafes to the upscale Victoria & Albert’s, renowned for its exquisite fine dining.

Don’t miss the chance to stroll through the immaculately landscaped grounds or relax in the lobby to enjoy the live music.

For those with a sweet tooth, the afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Room offers a delightful experience, while the character dining at 1900 Park Fare provides fun for the whole family.

Other Magic Kindom Resorts

Beyond the immediate circle of Magic Kingdom resorts connected by the Monorail, are Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The Wilderness Lodge, inspired by the national park lodges of the Pacific Northwest, offers a majestic escape with its towering lobby and cozy accommodations amidst towering pines and geyser views.

Nearby, Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground provides a more down-to-earth experience with its cabins and campsites, perfect for those looking to blend the magic of Disney with the allure of the great outdoors.

Both resorts offer unique dining experiences, from the homestyle comfort food at Wilderness Lodge’s Whispering Canyon Café to the hearty, outdoor meals at Fort Wilderness’ Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.

Accessible by boat and bus, these resorts offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Epcot Area Hotels

The Epcot area hotels offer an immersive experience that extends the magic beyond the parks. These resorts are known for their stunning themes, from the elegance of a seaside resort at the Yacht and Beach Club to the carnival sights and sounds of the BoardWalk Inn.

We particularly enjoyed exploring the various boutiques and eateries along the way, where the atmosphere is lively and the views of Crescent Lake add to the charm.

The Boardwalk makes it easy to hop between several resorts at once, plus you’re right behind Epcot so it’s got the Disney park feel.

Don’t miss the chance to rent a Surrey bike for a fun ride around Crescent Lake!

Boardwalk Inn

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn captures the essence of a 1940s Atlantic coastal village with its charming waterfront and vibrant nightlife.

When resort hopping to the BoardWalk Inn, you’ll find an array of entertainment options, dining experiences, and unique shops.

One of the highlights is taking a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk itself, where you can catch street performers, grab a slice from the BoardWalk Pizza Window, or indulge in a sweet treat from BoardWalk Bakery.
