The recent 2022 30.5m motor yacht EDEN is one of the highest demanded 5-cabin Superyachts on the Corsica and French Riviera’s charter market. This 100’ Maiora 30 Walkaround model from the Italian brand Maiora of Next Group, is the result of a renovated in-house production, that stands out with her large outdoor areas and broad side walkways allowing easy and safe passenger access from stern to bow.

Her impressive 120 square meter full-beam flybridge is totally free of any obstacles, making it a perfect place to sunbathe or relax under the stars, and is dotted with a pop-up TV, a bar, al-fresco dining area, and an octagonal Jacuzzi surrounded by sun beds. Down to stern, motor yacht EDEN offers a wide beach club with swimming platform, shower, and built-in sofas, while the innovative transversal garage hides a 5.40m tender and a wide array of water toys.

Her main deck cockpit is designed as a terrace overlooking the sea and provides an obstacle-free open-space with the main saloon, which includes two side opening balconies to enhance the modern marine atmosphere the yacht provides, along with a convenient day-head and fully equipped galley.

EDEN’s well-appointed accommodation lodges comfortably up to 10 guests in 5 en-suite staterooms, with a friendly and professional crew of 5 led by captain Patrice. The enlarged Master suite is located forward on the main deck, while 2 double VIP cabins and 2 convertible twin/double cabins are located on the lower deck, all with en-suite bathrooms.

The 30.5m superyacht EDEN interior design features top edge luxury finishings made of two types of oakwood, leather and lacquered panels, furniture from Poltrona Frau and Cassini, as well as a state-of-art A/V system. For comfortable cruises while underway or at anchor, this yacht is equipped with silent zero speed stabilizers.

Description

Winner of the "REVELATION OF THE YEAR" award at the famous World Yachts Trophies in Cannes in 2019, the MAIORA 30 WALKAROUND has an overall length of 30.50 metres but is still registered as a boat within 24 metres. The innovative "walk-around" solution connects everything on a single level from the flybridge to the bow without stairs. With an impressive beam of 7.5m, visibly increased internal volumes are highlighted by large windows that allow in much more natural light and a complete and wide view of the outside.

EDEN is the number 4 in the MAIORA 30 WALKAROUND series and brings innovative new features such as an enlarged master cabin and a transversal garage for a 5.4m tender with outboard engine, allowing to benefit of an aft beach club. She is the only MAIORA 30 with a 5 cabins layout available for charter, offering a master suite on the main deck and 2 VIP and 2 convertible cabins on the lower deck.

Particular attention has been made to the interior design that combines flamed oak flooring with American walnut walls with touches of smoked oak, leather and lacquered panels, designed loose furniture from Poltrona Frau and Cassini and latest A/V technologies including a multi-zones Yahama MusicCast system. The main deck saloon is arranged with a dining table on the aft that provides an in/out dining area thanks to the fully opening sliding doors, and a saloon area with a 85' TV that can be seen as well from the dining area and the aft deck.

On the outside, EDEN features an aft deck saloon with bar and access to the large swimming platform fitted with shower, swimming ladder and built-in sofas, while the flybridge fitted with a pop-up TV offers a dining area, a bar area, a saloon area, a Jacuzzi surrounded by sun loungers plus the connected large front deck fitted with seating and lounging, removable awning and outdoor cinema.

EDEN is run by a crew of 5 with Captain Patrice who have been formerly on the very popular charter yacht LEONARDO.

MYBA Terms: The Charter Fee includes the charter of the yacht with all its equipment in working order, tools, stores, cleaning material and basic consumable stores for engine-room, deck and cabins, etc., the crew’s wages, food and the insurance of the yacht for marine risk and third party claims and the crew for employer’s liability insurance. The Charterer will be charged extra, at cost to the yacht, for all other expenses. These include fuel for the yacht, fuel for the ski-boats or other tenders, food for the charterers, wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks for the Charterers, other consumable stores, berthing dues and other harbour charges away from the yacht’s own berth, including pilotage fees and charges for water and/or electricity taken from the shore, laundry, telephone, fax or telex via Satcom, Radio Telephone or telex costs, hire costs of special equipment placed on board at the request of the Charterer and crew gratuities. Prices exclude VAT (if applicable). VAT calculation depends on the embarkation port' country and on the cruising area. Charters shorter than a week are also available, depending on the date.

Next Yacht Group, part of Italian shipyard Maiora Yachts , has announced the successful delivery of luxury charter yacht EDEN , a Maiora 30 ‘Walkaround’ model.

Maiora 30 walkaround motor yacht EDEN

She measures 30.5m/100ft and has a beam of 7.5m/24.7ft with generous headroom per deck to create a spacious environment for all guests. Notable features include a 120m2/1291.7ft2 flybridge accessed via stairs from the bow for more efficient space usage, a five-person Jacuzzi that has uninterrupted views of the location and a foredeck cinema.

The tender garage is concealed in the bow and can hold a tender up to 2m/6.7ft – a unique feature for her size class -as well as a large collection of water toys.

The interiors were created in collaboration with the Owner, who has added a personal touch to the comfortable and personal surroundings. The accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests in 5 en-suite cabins: 1 Master suite on the main deck, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. The crew of 5 will keep everything running efficiently throughout every cruise. Motor yacht EDEN has a top speed of 23 knots so that her guests spend less time in transit and more at their destination.

Luxury yacht EDEN is currently cruising in the Western Mediterranean , where she will be available for charters this summer.

For any booking made more than 4 weeks in advance, the following payment conditions apply:

• 50% of the booking amount is due to the signature of the contract
• The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the arrival date

For any booking made less than 4 weeks in advance, the following payment conditions apply:

• Total payment is due upon signature of the contract

Embarkation & Disembarkation

Our fleet of yachts is available all over the French Riviera, so in most cases, you will be able to embark and disembark at the location of your choice.

Please note, however, that if you choose a yacht that is not based where you wish to embark, you will be charged a delivery fee corresponding to the fuel consumption. If such charges apply, your Excellence representative will advise you of the exact amount before you proceed with the booking.

If you have any preferences regarding the place of embarkation or disembarkation, do not hesitate to ask your Excellence representative.

Captain of superyacht that sank off Italian coast questioned as prosecutors open manslaughter investigation

New Zealander James Cutfield, the captain of the British-flagged superyacht which sank off the coast of Sicily last Monday, spoke to magistrates for more than two hours.

The captain of the superyacht that sank off the coast of Italy has been questioned by prosecutors investigating the deaths of seven passengers.

The British-flagged superyacht sank in the early hours of last Monday after being struck by a tornado - and led to a five-day search for those missing.

British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, 59, and his daughter Hannah, 18, were among the seven who died.

The others included Morgan Stanley chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy, American lawyer Chris Morvillo, his wife Neda, and the yacht's on-board chef Recaldo Thomas.

Captain James Cutfield and 14 others managed to escape to safety as the yacht sank while at anchor off the coast of Porticello, Sicily.

The captain, 51, and originally from New Zealand, is under investigation for possible multiple manslaughter and shipwreck charges.

In Italian law a case at this stage means authorities will be question the captain and assess evidence before deciding whether or not he should face prosecution.

It may mean he is forbidden from leaving the country, although no such order has been issued yet.

Magistrates spoke to Mr Cutfield on Sunday for the second time in a week, questioning him for more than two hours.

Local media reports suggest prosecutors may also investigate a crew member who was on duty when the storm hit and survived the incident.

Post-mortems will start tomorrow.

It comes after prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio said "behaviours that were not perfectly in order" may have been behind the number of deaths at a news conference on Saturday.

He said investigators would focus on "the extent all the people [on board] were warned" of safety procedures.

Responsibility could lie with "all members of the crew... the manufacturers... [or those who were] not surveying or supervising the ship".

But all lines of inquiry were being considered, including the role of the extreme weather that struck the area, he added.

Maritime law gives a captain full responsibility for the ship, crew, and all on board.

Mr Cutfield and his eight surviving crew members have made no public comment yet on the disaster.

The chief executive of the firm which makes and sells yachts like the Bayesian told Sky News last week that vessels like Mr Lynch's are "unsinkable".

Giovanni Costantino, CEO of The Italian Sea Group, said there are no flaws with the design and construction of the Bayesian superyacht which capsized.
