Bobby Genovese is the founder of BG Capital Group Limited and BG Capital Management Corporation, both based in The Bahamas, with associate management offices in Barbados and Fort Lauderdale. In 2013, Bobby launched BG Signature, a global portfolio of private retreats that includes BG Ocala Ranch in Ocala, Florida, an 85-acre, world-class equestrian center. Bobby has a lifelong love of boats — his diverse collection includes Miss Canada III: 1939; Miss Canada IV: 1950; The Rambler: 1903; and BG Charade, a classic 154-foot Feadship formerly owned by Microsoft cofounder, Paul Allen, which Bobby purchased in 2015 and recently refit. Below Deck Thailand: luxury yacht BG returns as VALOR for season 7

The 57m/154ft motor yacht VALOR, which is an alias for superyacht BG , is back to host Captain Lee Rosbach, chief stewardess Kate Chastain and the rest of the crew in a brand new yacht charter destination: Thailand . 

Bravo TV's hit reality TV show is back for its seventh season, and it has been confirmed that  Below Deck season 7 was filmed in Thailand .

In a brand new trailer, viewers are given a sneak peak into season 7 of the show.

Luxury yacht the VALOR, aka BG, will be making a return after starring in the show for seasons 5 and 4. You can take a look at all Below Deck yachts, their real names and the cost to rent them . 

Below Deck season 7 will air on October 7 at 9pm EST.

The new trailer gives us a good look at what we can expect from season seven.

"Thailand is really unique," says Captain Lee, "There's so much to take in it's almost sensory overload."

As well as Rosbach, other returning favourites are Kate Chastain as Chief Stewardess and Ashton Pienaar as freshly-promoted bosun.

Get to know the new crew of Below Deck Season 7

Joining the original yachties are plenty of new faces.

Heading up the galley will be New Zealand-born chef Kevin Dobson, who has a wealth of experience as a yacht chef in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Pacific islands. 

Stepping in to help Kate in the interior is second stewardess Simone Mashile and third stewardess Courtney Skippon. Both have experience in the yachting world. Mashile hails from South Africa, and has spent most of her career exploring the French Riviera.

Skippon meanwhile, grew up in Canada. She attended business school, but has since pursued her love for life on the water. 

Stepping in to help Kate in the interior are second stewardess Simone Mashile and third stewardess Courtney Skippon.

The deck team will see Ashton take the lead as bosun. Joining the ranks will be fellow South African Brian de Saint Pern and experienced yachtie Tanner Sterback.

Abbi Murphy will also be coming in as deckhand. According to Bravo's site, Murphy trained to be a lawyer and only got into yachting after a sailing experience around the islands of Greece changed her perspective on things.

She is now swapping the world of sailing yachts for motor yachts for Below Deck season 7.

Below Deck is adding to the franchise with a new series focusing on sailing yachts. The new series, named Below Deck Sailing Vessel, is being filmed in Greece . Read our article for the full story.

BG is a 46.88 m Motor Yacht, built in Netherlands by Feadship and delivered in 1990.

Her top speed is 15.0 kn and she boasts a maximum range of 4800.0 nm when navigating at cruising speed, with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms, with 11 crew members. She has a gross tonnage of 515.0 GT and a 8.5 m beam.

She was designed by Frits De Voogt , who also completed the naval architecture. Frits De Voogt has designed 52 yachts and created the naval architecture for 66 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by McMillen Of New York - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

BG is in the top 30% by LOA in the world. She is one of 506 motor yachts in the 45-50m size range, and, compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her volume is 31.41 GT above the average.

BG is currently sailing under the Marshall Islands flag, the 5th most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 422 yachts registered. Originally launched by the highly respected Dutch builder Feadship in 1990, superyacht BG (ex Charade, hull 642) is a well sized 47m (153') displacement vessel, with last refit in 2015. Luxury motor yacht BG features exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects, with interior design by McMillen Design. BG also starred in the popular Bravo TV series 'Below Deck' as luxury yacht VALOR.

A total number of 12 guests can be accommodated aboard BG superyacht in pure comfort and luxury. She provides six luxuriously appointed cabins, including an amazingly generous full-beam master suite with walk-in closets and an en-suite with a two-person shower. The cabin can be found on the main deck, alongside a king-sized VIP cabin. The lower deck hosts the additional four guest cabins. The vessel is taken care of by a professional crew of 10.

Made of steel and aluminium, this custom yacht is able to reach a top speed of 14,5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, thanks to her twin Caterpillar 3508 DITA diesel engines.

2015 Refit The extensive 2015 refit of BG yacht saw a complete overhaul of her interior. The vessel now boasts a beautiful Hampton Beach House-themed interior, styled by Taylor Hannah Architect.

10 of the biggest yachts at this year's Palm Beach International Boat Show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach's waterfront from March 21-24 — bringing with it some of the largest, most luxurious yachts in the world.

The Super Yacht Show Palm Beach features a range of boats that are longer than 100 feet, including 18 that are longer than 151 feet.

Here's a look at 10 of the biggest boats that visitors to the show can experience up close.

Come Together

This 197-foot behemoth with a price tag that starts at $59.95 million makes it the most expensive boat for sale at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Come Together provides plenty of space and amenities to do as its name suggests and bring more than a dozen people together for an adventure at sea, according to its listing on the show's website.

It was built in 2022 by Amels and features a hybrid propulsion system. The interiors were done by Winch Design of London, with materials including Jerusalem limestone, light matte oak and walnut, and bronze. The ship's six cabins can house up to 14 guests, the listing said.

A 27-meter sun deck features a Jacuzzi with a sunbathing area, gym equipment, sheltered bar and wind-protected dining table.

Hospitality

Want to buy the 164-foot Hospitality? The price starts at $29.75 million, according to the yacht's listing on the boat show's website.

The Westport-built vessel was first constructed in 2011 and refit in 2021. It has seven cabins that can accommodate 16 guests. That includes a primary suite and a VIP suite. It also features a sun deck with a hot tub and sunbathing area.

The ship has traveled "to some of the world's most remote places with an impressive 4,000+ nautical mile range," its listing said.

You can find Hospitality in the water at Ramp E at the show.

The 155-foot Ancora was just completed in August by manufacturer Mengi Yay, its listing said. It is being presented by Fraser Yachts.

Ancora was built for charter use and has a master suite with a private balcony, plus four staterooms including two doubles and two convertibles, allowing for up to 10 guests, the listing said.

Summer charter rates with Fraser run from about $282,000 per week in the western Mediterranean Sea to about $260,000 per week in the winter in the Caribbean, according to Fraser's website .

This Benetti-built vessel is 180 feet and 6 inches and was built in 2003 with a refit in 2022, the listing said.

For $21 million, you can be the new owner of the Feadship-built Berilda, a 155-foot yacht built in 2001 and refit in 2020-21, according to its listing.

The yacht has "the highest pedigree with a documented history of excellent owners and meticulous care," the listing said. That ownership includes Royal Swedish Yacht Club member Sten Tegner, and Richard and Leslie Fairbanks.

The current owner bought Berilda in 2021 and has sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice and through Europe, New England, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, the listing said. The yacht features six cabins for up to 14 people and quarters for a crew of up to 10.

Berilda will be in water at Ramp C.

Liberty, built by Trinity, is 187 feet and 2 inches, according to its listing. The yacht is designed for entertaining, the listing said, with social spaces including a dance floor.

Liberty was built in 2012, with work including a paint job, main engine rebuild, new generators and 10-year survey completed since 2018. The price starts at $24.75 million and the ship is being shown by The International Yacht Co.

The yacht has six cabins for 12 guests, with additional capacity for 13 crew, the listing said.

Named simply W, this 188-foot Feadship yacht is being shown by its manufacturer, according to its listing.

The vessel, originally launched as Larisa in 2013, had a major refit in 2020 and was renamed at that time, the listing said. W's owner changed the livery and antifouling, among other alterations, over the past 10 months, the listing said.

W will be in the water at Ramp C.

Priced at $20.9 million and being shown by exhibitor FGI Yacht Group, the 164-foot Tsumat was built by Trinity in 2012 and refit last year, according to its listing.

The exterior was designed by Geoff Van Aller. The interior by Ramón Alonso features leather, suede, marble and walnut, with onyx floors.

There are six staterooms for up to 12 guests and housing for a 10-person crew, the listing said.

Tsumat will be in the water at Ramps 2 and D.

The Nita K II is about 171 feet and was built by Amels in 2004, the listing said. It's priced starting at $23.9 million and presented by Merle Wood & Associates.

A refit in 2021-22 included an overhaul of the main engines and generators, and a 20-year Lloyd's class special survey was completed earlier this year, the listing said.

The interior was designed by Alberto Pinto and Laura Sessa, and the yacht can accommodate up to 12 people in five staterooms, plus room for 14 crew members in seven cabins, the listing said.

Nita K II will be in the water at Ramp D.

If it tells you anything about the level of luxury aboard the BG Charade, this 157-foot yacht was built by Feadship in 1990 for the late Paul Allen of Microsoft, the listing said. Under Allen, the BG Charade completed three circumnavigations and served as the honeymoon venue for Bill and Melinda Gates.

A technical and cosmetic refit was completed in 2016 and included new generators, rebuilt engines, new teak on the exterior and a complete electrical system update, the listing said.

BG Charade has six cabins for up to 12 guests, plus accommodations for up to 10 crew, the listing said.

The yacht will be in the water at Ramp 7.

Bonus: Talisman C

The epically long — 231.6 feet — and super-luxurious Talisman C, built by Turquoise in 2011, will be shown by Burgess Yachts in the water at Ramps D and E.

BG Vero Beach Polo Club Launches 2016-2017 Season

Celebrating Vero Beach, Florida’s coveted presence on the east coast polo circuit Bobby Genovese’s BG Vero Beach Polo Club will open for the 2016/17 season on October 1 with lessons, instruction, practice and coaching leagues.

The 2017 polo season opener will be held on Sunday January 8, 2017.

Matches will be played every Sunday at 7634 South Polo Grounds Way through Sunday April 30, 2017. Gates open at 12:30 pm; matches begin at 1:30 pm.

“We are proud to host another incredible season of polo, which promises to be better than ever,” said Genovese of the club’s third season. “General Manager Patta Conboy has done a phenomenal job curating this fabulous club, its programming and state-of-the-art facilities. We could not be more excited.”

Conboy is joined by the Club Management Team of polo players Tiffany Busch, Gaston Rodriquez and Karen Reese. Kelly Rigsby-Quam continues as Barn Manager overseeing the club’s stabling and equine welfare.

This year’s schedule includes 16 weekends of polo, including match games and tournament play. The club will host:

    •Two 4-goal tournaments, one 6-goal tournament and one 8-goal tournament.

    •Inaugural Woman’s Invitational

    •Return of the University of Miami team led by coach Senter Johnson returns this season for a match game in March.

    •The legendary Memo Gracida will co-host the club’s first 8-goal tournament in March with games at Gracida’s Portales on Martin Hwy. and tournament finals at the Vero Beach Polo Club.

    •The club will host a large-scale fundraiser for the leukemia foundation, featuring high-goal polo players from Wellington.

    •New this year a coaching league has been established to accommodate 0-2 and 2-4 goal players. A pro pool polo rotation will be initiated at the club’s local match games along with two chukker exhibition games in support of our youth and coaching league players.

2017 will offer exciting polo of all levels in Vero Beach. Private and group polo lessons with the club’s pros are also available through the BG Polo School.

In additional to weekly tailgating, champagne divot stomping and awards ceremonies, BG Vero Beach Polo Club will host its inaugural black tie BG Polo Ball, hosted by Bobby Genovese and founding members of the Polo Club. Open to the public, this elegant evening affair will help raise funds for the club’s youth polo scholarship program and a permanent clubhouse adjoining the club’s practice field.

The eighth annual Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup will be held September 18 and 19, 2015 in Toronto in support of pediatric cancer research, treatment and care for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), announced Event Chairman Bobby Genovese, Chairman BG Capital Group and BG Signature.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Four U.S. Army boats, loaded with tons of equipment and steel pier segments, left Virginia on Tuesday, heading to Gaza as part of the U.S. effort to expand the delivery of food and other supplies to starving Palestinians as Israel’s war against Hamas drags on.

The ships pulled out of docks at Joint Base Langley-Eustis and headed down the James River toward the Atlantic Ocean for what could be a month-long voyage to the Mediterranean Sea. There, at a yet-to-be-announced location along the Gaza shore, they will build and begin to operate a floating dock to receive the aid.

Since Hamas militants attacked Israel on Oct. 7, Israel’s military has battered the territory, killing more than 30,000 Palestinians, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, and creating a humanitarian catastrophe . The U.N. says virtually all of Gaza’s 2.3 million people are struggling to find food. But getting humanitarian aid to the area has been difficult, due to the ongoing hostilities and struggles to coordinate with the Israeli military, which has blocked routes and slowed deliveries due to inspections.

The latest Pentagon plan calls for the U.S. military to build what is called a modular causeway system. Off shore, the Army will build a large floating platform where ships can unload large containers of aid. Then the aid will be transferred by the Army to a motorized string of steel causeway sections that have been pushed to the shore.

That pier is expected to be as much as 1,800 feet (550 meters) long, with two lanes, and the Pentagon has said it could accommodate the delivery of more than 2 million meals a day for Gaza residents. Officials have not said who will be unloading the containers and taking the aid ashore. President Joe Biden has said there will be no U.S. troops on the ground in Gaza.

On Tuesday, as family members and senior Army commanders watched, about 70 soldiers with the 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) pulled away from the docks in four U.S. Army vessels: the USAV Wilson Wharf, USAV Matamoros and USAV Monterrey, all Army landing crafts, and the larger USAV SP4 James A. Loux, a logistics support watercraft.

The brigade’s commander, Army Col. Sam Miller, said about 500 of his soldiers will participate in the mission. All together, Pentagon officials have said about 1,000 U.S. troops will be involved.

Calling it a complicated mission, Miller said the transit will take about a month, but it will depend on weather and any possible high seas. The actual construction, he said, will take about a week, but that also could be hampered by weather. Then it will take additional time to get the delivery process coordinated with those providing the aid and the system up and running. Defense officials have said it will take about two months to get the deliveries started.

The Army’s vessels and maritime capabilities are unique and not as well known as the Navy’s. The last time the 7th Transportation Brigade did a similar mission to construct a large pier was in Haiti in 2010. But it has participated in a number of major military exercises.

“The soldiers here are energized, they’re motivated, they’re excited,” Miller said, adding that the new humanitarian mission “gives them purpose and meaning” and highlights the Army’s watercraft. He noted that just 36 hours after Biden ordered the operation, the first Army vessel — the USAV General Frank S. Besson logistics ship — left Joint Base Langley-Eustis on Saturday.

Miller said a larger Maritime Sealift Command ship will also be leaving Virginia in the coming days, and will be carrying some of the bigger equipment and more of the steel pier segments.
