• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Today marks eight years since Kobe Bryant 's final NBA game. The Los Angeles Lakers legend stamped an exclamation mark on his unmatched career by scoring 60 points in front of the home crowd. Since then, April 13 has been known as Mamba Day.

While many of Kobe's loyal fans spent the morning (unsuccessfully) trying to purchase limited-edition sneakers from his signature Nike line, others have been greeted with a nice surprise.

Vanessa Bryant has gifted the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in a player-exclusive colorway to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers' social media team was quick to share glamorous photos of the sneakers inside of Dodger Stadium.

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro 'Dodgers' colorway features a blue snakeskin-inspired upper with white detailing around the midsole and heel. Just like the Dodgers uniforms, red accents appear on the heel with Bryant's jersey numbers and signature. The cherry on top is the red stitching around the tongues, resembling a baseball.

The question on every fan's mind is: will these sneakers be released to the public? At this time, there is no indication they are anything more than a player-exclusive model. The only other time we have seen the Nike Kobe 6 'Dodgers' was when Natalia Bryant wore the sneakers during a game last season at Dodger Stadium.

Even if these sneakers were released to the public, it is hard to imagine they would be released in a quantity that would meet demand. Look at what happened with the three Nike Kobe sneakers released earlier today. Nevertheless, that cannot stop Lakers and Dodgers fans from admiring the ultra-rare kicks and dreaming of one day getting their hands on a pair.

It is also worth mentioning that the Dodgers have several players on their roster that are not sponsored by Nike and are contractually prohibited from wearing the sneakers in public. So, I would like to be first in line to ask players like Clayton Kershaw and Chris Taylor for their pair of Nike Kobe 6s (it was worth a shot).

To the editor: Your article, “ The end of Skid Row’s cheap hotels? L.A. leaders want to replace last-resort homeless housing ,” lays bare the harsh truth that city officials clearly have no viable plan to stem the homelessness and affordable housing crises. Getting rid of single-room occupancy units (SROs) would only make matters worse.

L.A. continues to fail when it comes to housing, and that dysfunction is on full display as officials propose destroying the bottom rung of the housing ladder as a potential solution. With more than 75,000 people homeless in L.A. County and six of them dying every day, how can the answer be to destroy the only buildings available to house people in dire need?

New construction takes years, and most developers don’t want to build truly affordable housing because it’s not a moneymaker. Taking advantage of existing inventory and renovating older, empty properties brings housing units online faster and cheaper.

Are SROs perfect? No. But with proper support, they are viable, as they have been for more than 100 years.

SRO units are a lifeline for low-income people. They’re not glamorous, and they often have problems that come with old buildings in any city, but they are solutions to the tragic humanitarian crisis we face every day.

SROs just need investment — money and attention the city has failed to give.

Second time's the charm? Remember the Willy Wonka experience in Glasgow, Scotland that went viral earlier this year, with its sad Oompa Loompa becoming a meme? It's making a comeback.

Despite the backlash and mockery, the now-infamous event is returning, and this time in Los Angeles, California, according to an event page that popped up on Eventbrite .

"Yes, this is a real event," reads the first thing on the event page, set up by the House of Illuminati LA.

"Get ready to step into a realm of pure imagination as the highly acclaimed 'Willy’s Chocolate Experience LA' makes its debut in the United States, courtesy of House of Illuminati LA," the event description reads. "Following its groundbreaking success in Glasgow, this fantastical event promises an immersive journey into the whimsical world of 'Willy' Wonka."

The "sad" Oompa Loompa, Kirsty Paterson, who instantly became a meme, will also be participating in the event on April 28 with an "exclusive absurdist Q&A and fan photo opportunity," according to the organizers.

Other features of the Glasgow event, such as the setting, will also be replicated with the event planned to be held in "a nondescript warehouse nestled in the heart of downtown Los Angeles." The exact location has not been specified.

Tickets are priced at $44 and are non-refundable. However, the proceeds of the event will be donated to an unnamed mental health charity, say the organizers.

In another nod to the previous event, attendees will get 2 complimentary jellybeans "to kickstart the sweetness".

Meanwhile, other "enchanting attractions" include local music and comedy performances, an "immersive" silent film screening complemented by live music and local vendors selling sweet treat. The organizers have also teased the possibility of "renowned comedians" to be attending the event, "promising an evening filled with laughter and unexpected twists."

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. on April 28 for photobooth and mingling, followed by the Q&A session with Paterson at 6:30 p.m. Around 9 p.m., the event will transition into "Willy's Rave" with a D.J., who will be "keeping the energy going until 4 a.m.," the next morning.

"Prepare to be transported to a realm where imagination knows no bounds and every moment is infused with wonder," the event page adds.

Willy Wonka experience in Glasgow was dubbed a 'fiasco'

In February, earlier this year, a Willy Wonka-themed event in Scotland went viral after ticket-buyers went to an event marketed as a place "where dreams come to life," only to find a sparsely decorated warehouse with a pair of women with green wigs – apparently the Oompa Loompas – and an actor portraying Willy Wonka, who looked more like an Oompa Loompa than Wonka.

Attendees, many of whom were children, were enraged and upset with the organizers, a U.K. event company called House of Illuminati, demanding a refund. The police even showed up at the event to calm the irate crowd and shut down the event, that had promised chocolate fountains, performances by Oompa Loompas and "a celebration of chocolate in all its delightful forms."

One of the event attendees, Stuart Sinclair, who attended the event with his children said called the event "an absolute con," saying that his kids only received "two jelly babies and a quarter of a can of bars limeade," and that the whole experience took only 2 minutes. One of actor's, who participated in the event, called it a "fiasco" and said that he and the other actors "were furious."

"We’d been conned, as well, and it did turn quite scary at one point because people were angry," he said.

The company organizing the event later apologized for the event, releasing a statement that read: "Unfortunately, last minute we were let down in many areas of our event and tried our best to continue on and push through and now realize we probably should have cancelled first thing this morning instead."
