Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 Cast: Where Are They Now?

Here's what happened to Daisy, Colin, Captain Glenn and the rest of the Parsifal crew.

Considering the series filmed in August 2020, viewers are curious about the whereabouts of our Sailing Yacht favorites...and, more importantly, how the cast and crew managed to film for several weeks amid lockdown. As it turns out, the location of this season was chosen intentionally. At that time, Croatia remained one of few countries in the EU to accept American tourists. In a Reddit AMA , a producer for the show also explained that maintaining safety protocols (which likely included regular Covid testing) was key in filming this season.

Here's what happened to your favorite crew members from Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2:

Colin Macrae

Colin Macrae might serve as the Chief Engineer aboard the Parsifal III, however, when it comes to the inner workings of his relationship, things aren’t as black and white. Despite gushing over his relationship with Martina Alvarez last summer, Macrae revealed that he and Martina have officially parted ways. “Unfortunately my relationship with Martina came to an end a couple of months ago,” Colin captioned his most recent YouTube video . Although his romance is no more, Colin remains optimistic for what’s to come as he embarks on a “fresh start” in none other than Panama. Colin has also continued his efforts in creating content online documenting his many adventures in Linton Bay, Panama , where he’s resided over the course of the last few months.

Glenn Shephard

Captain Glenn Shephard is back and better than ever! The sailboat captain may only have 2 seasons of Below Deck under his belt, but his 20 years of experience certainly make him a notable addition to the Bravo family. Since his summer in Croatia last year, Gl enn has since moved to Spain , which Shephard has deemed his new “happy place.” While becoming a Bravo-lebrity can go to one’s head, Glenn has remained modest when it comes to his newfound fame. The star now offers Zoom sessions with fans of the show, where he dishes on behind-the-scenes details all while sipping cocktails on the Spanish coast.

First Officer Gary King walked away from his very first season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht feeling nothing but grateful. “Reminiscing about the last 6 weeks that have just flown by. I learned lessons that I’ll carry for life,” Gary wrote on Instagram . While fans have been rooting for him and fellow stewardess, Alli Dore to set sails on a possible romance, it appears as King has been flying solo since the series ended. After traveling about to a number of stunning locations, including Mallorca, Spain, Gary returned home to South Africa just in time for Christmas. The Bravo star has since remained in his home country, occupying himself with a series of visits to the golf range and a new passion for landscape photography and cooking.

Natasha De Bourg

The Michelin-star chef has been tuning in this season from her home in the Bahamas, and, well, she hasn't taken to it favorably. The star has posted a series of pics on her Instagram detailing her frustrations with herself on the show, claiming that she is “human and humans are imperfect.” Luckily for Natasha, her friendship with both Dani and Alli has blossomed immensely since wrapping up, and the two have been a huge support for Natasha as she cruises through these waves of criticism.

Daisy Kelliher

Being the Chief Stewardess on any yacht is no easy feat, and Daisy Kelliher is certainly feeling the burn. Following her time at sea in Croatia, Daisy, unfortunately, broke her wrist and found herself back home with mom and dad in Ireland . During lockdown, Daisy accepted a job in Antigua two months later, however, due to the current situation, her efforts at finding adventure fell flat. “I had completely lost myself,” Daisy captioned her photo on Instagram , revealing she began pushing friends away and entered a dark space. Luckily for the Below Deck star, she feels like herself again and is set to start a new job. During a live chat, Daisy revealed to co-star, Sydney Zaruba that she is most likely headed back to Europe, although she’s left much of what she’ll be doing a mystery.

Dani Soares

Dani Soares soared to being a fan favorite this current season and we don’t see that changing anytime soon. Soares, who reigns all the way from Brazil, has gone on to make quite a name for herself since her summer in Croatia. The star currently resides in Sydney, Australia where she is expecting her very first child. Dani revealed the news on social media back in April, however, both her due date and daddy status remain unknown. Although fans have inquired who the father is, Soares made it clear that it isn’t “anybody’s business.” As she embarks on her journey towards motherhood, Dani is currently working as a beauty therapist in the land down under all while taking in her recent rise to fame.

Alli Dore is the third stewardess to join the hit Bravo series, and boy are we glad she did. After wrapping up her summer in Croatia, Alli returned home to Australia, where she was born and raised. Her love for boating didn’t stop when the summer did, as she went on to spend her time in the Whitsundays Islands. As for Alli’s personal life, the star made an appearance on the Unpopular podcast where she revealed that she is pansexual. [I am] “attracted to people’s aura,” she revealed. Alli has gone on to start her very own IGTV series called Pita Party , which she stars in alongside Sailing Yacht co-stars, Daisy and Dani.

Sydney Zaruba

Sydney Zaruba found herself in quite the love triangle last summer in Croatia, but today, she is all about keeping her inner circle small. Sydney, who was born and raised in Florida, moved on over to the stunning island of Mallorca, Spain where she currently works on a 42-meter sailing yacht! This is nothing new for Sydney; considering her experience on Below Deck and, of course, her long history of sailing with her family. In addition to being at sea, Sydney decided to become a travel agent with Explorateur Travel. While the cast of Sailing Yacht has gone their separate ways since the summer ended, Sydney still managed to bump into none other than Captain Glenn on the streets of Palma.

Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

Jean-Luc may be the youngest Below Deck crew member but he certainly makes up for it in height? Following his summer working on the Parsifal III, Jean-Luc traveled to Mallorca, Spain, an idea many of his co-stars had as well. Shortly after, the 25-year-old made his way on over to Costa Rica , which he’s called home for the last several months. Despite the remarkable views, Jean-Luc is entering some rocky waters as a plethora of rumors have surfaced questioning his role in Dani Soares’ pregnancy. Not only have fans been flooding his social media with questions concerning whether he’s the father or not, but fellow charter guest, Barrie Drewitt-Barlow also went on to add fuel to the fire. In an Instagram video posted back in April, Barrie claimed that Jean-Luc “was too busy getting the other one [Dani] pregnant … He’s gonna be a daddy,” he said. While Dani laughed off the comment, Jean-Luc has yet to address the rumors.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Sydney Zaruba is sharing why Season 2 of the Bravo series will be even better than the first. Especially when it comes to the drama and excitement on the high seas!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht   has officially set sail into its second season! And with it, fans are meeting almost all new faces. “Just get ready for a season unlike any other,” Deckhand  Sydney Zaruba told  HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY during an episode of TVTalk on Instagram Live on March 1. “Because we had a very interesting go at it.”

Another thing that made things different this season was the coronavirus pandemic that happened as filming began, which didn’t make things any easier. “We had to do everything ourselves,” Sydney said. “Not that you ever aren’t, but with COVID, it added a whole extra layer. We had a lot going on. We were a bit more stir crazy I think than other crews tend to be. I think that that within itself created a whole lot of extra drama and maybe we had some malfunctions and different things happening.”

The only returning crew member from season one is Captain Glenn Shephard , who Sydney was familiar with before signing up to do the show. “I absolutely love working with Captain Glenn,” Sydney said. “He is an absolute angel. He is the absolute best. My favorite.”

No good charter is complete without a boatmance , and it’s already being eluded to that Sydney will find herself in the mix! “I’ve never been the type of person to get involved,” Sydney teased. “This season, may have gotten the better of me and I think that’s all I can say on that. You’ll see later on.”

The show was filmed on the waters of Croatia months ago, but Sydney is hinting that her relationship may have not been left on the boat as she promises a solid seas! “I don’t know if I’m allowed to!” Sydney giggled when asked about her current status. “There’s a lot that goes on, so get ready for a very wild ride on this season.”

Gary King Addresses Sitting in the Hot Tub with a Topless Sydney Zaruba

"If someone wants to be free and be naked, who am I to tell them differently?" the Below Deck Sailing Yacht first mate said.

The Parsifal III crew has given us some of the most memorable nights off in Below Deck history in Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , and the June 7 episode was no exception.

After Alli Dore told Gary King that she wanted to put their relationship on pause for the remainder of the charter season, he seemed to get a little flirty with Sydney Zaruba whom he had hooked up with during the crew's very first night off of the season. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew then took the party from the restaurant to the Parsifal III 's hot tub in the June 7 episode (clip above). Gary and Daisy Kelliher stripped down to their underwear to take a dip. Even though Sydney didn't have a bra on underneath her dress, Daisy still encouraged her to get in the hot tub.

When Alli stumbled upon just Gary and a topless Sydney sitting in the hot tub together after Daisy had stepped away, she became very upset at both Gary and Sydney , causing a dramatic end to the evening. Gary apologized to Alli the next morning, and they both agreed to be professional around one another as they finished out the charter season. But by the end of the episode, Gary and Alli were looking very cozy with one another and even kissed.

Now looking back on the hot tub moment during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 7, Gary didn't seem as regretful about hanging out with Sydney that night. "No, to be honest, I don't think a girl being topless is anything to be ashamed of," he said. "Maybe in the circumstances with Alli, it wasn't the best thing, but at the end of the day, if someone wants to be free and be naked, who am I to tell them differently?"

However, he showed remorse for the way he acted with Sydney while he and Alli were on a break. "Yes, I think that was very immature of me, and that's where my apology came from. No one should be treated like that, especially Alli. I just feel I was a bit heartbroken when she broke up with me," Gary explained on WWHL . "It was a cowardly action of me, and I've realized that. And at the end of the day, we can only see our mistakes, and we can grow from them. And that's what I'm hoping I can do."

Gary similarly apologized to Alli in a post on Instagram prior to the May 31 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . "Tonight’s episode of [ Below Deck Sailing Yacht ] is not one of my proudest moments. I must admit that what I was doing was wrong and I realised it. No women should ever be treated like that, I’m glad we’ve worked through it. I’d like to apologise to [Alli] for my actions," Gary wrote. "All I can say is that we learn from our mistakes and I have first hand, I know that it might not mean much but it wasn’t my intentions. I also hope I have not embarrassed my mother."

Alli previously opened up about how difficult it was to be around Gary after she had put their relationship on hold. "Boatmances, I mean, they can be complicated, and for me, it was really difficult being with someone who I really, really liked, working with them and having to end our situation, and then see him every day," Alli said during a "Pita Party" chat on Instagram with Daisy and Hannah Ferrier on June 1. "And then he was going out of his way to ignore me. He was going out of his way to make a point, to make an impact so that I would know that, 'I'm hurt, and you need to know that I'm hurt.' So that put an extra element of discomfort for me."

That "discomfort" only grew as Gary flirted with Sydney during the crew dinner. "And then sitting through that dinner, you know, was horrible," Alli shared. "I could see what was going on next to me, the flirting that was going on next to me. It made me feel really f--king weird."

Gary King, Alli Dore, and Sydney Zaruba's love triangle stole the show on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2. A lot happened between them.

First Officer Gary King may have been good at his job on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2, but his interpersonal skills while in a love triangle between Third Stew Alli Dore and Deckhand Sydney Zaruba were severely lacking. While Dani Soares and Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux's relationship gradually developed as the Parfisal III crew worked in Croatia, Gary bragged about how many women onboard were interested in him. As First Officer, Gary was shown to be confident in his abilities and professional with charter guests, but when Gary wasn't doing his job, he could be found chatting with his female co-stars.

Many relationships have formed throughout the Below Deck franchise as each cast agrees to live and work together on broad impressive yachts, and unsurprisingly, almost none of them last post-show. Some boatmances even fizzle out in the middle of filming, which makes for some dramatic and emotional moments. This couldn't be truer for the love triangle between Gary, Alli, and Sydney, which quickly formed on BDSY season 2.

Gary King Told Sydney Zaruba He Wanted To Be Friends

Gary and Sydney were the first BDSY season 2 stars to be intimate after the Parfisal III crew enjoyed an intoxicated evening off. Although Gary and former BDSY season 2 deckhand Sydney spent the night together, Gary made it clear that it was a one-time encounter and that they were just friends, which he repeated to Sydney the next day. Despite their conversation, Sydney still harbored feelings for Gary.

Gary King Expressed Feelings For Alli Dore Shortly After

While Gary wasn't interested in anything serious with Sydney, he did find himself attracted to Alli. Gary and Alli were frequently interrupted by Sydney whenever they tried to spend time together but still grew closer. However, Alli cut her fling with Gary short when she talked to Sydney and found out about their initial night together. Although Alli and Sydney appeared to be on the same page, Alli and Gary continued to spend time together and engage in PDA in front of the others.

Although Alli, Gary, and Sydney stayed aboard Parfisal III after BDSY season 2 concluded to assist Captain Glenn Shepard, anything beyond a professional relationship was permanently severed moving forward.

Gary King Confessed He Was Taken During Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2

When the cast of BDSY season 2 reunited to hash out the season with host Andy Cohen, Dani's unexpected pregnancy and Gary, Alli, and Sydney's complicated love triangle were the night's biggest topics. In addition to Alli revealing she was expecting her first child with Benny Thompson, she dropped another bombshell: Gary had a girlfriend while they were filming BDSY season 2. Gary admitted to the revelation and explained that he hadn't seen his girlfriend in about eight months at the time. Despite all the drama he went through, Gary failed to learn his lesson when he found himself in another love triangle on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 3.

When does Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premiere?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 has been on fans’ minds since the end of the explosive Season 4 reunion.

There was a major rift between Colin MacRae, Daisy Kelliher, and Gary King that left fans wondering what would happen next with the dream team.

The anticipation for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was heightened after sexual misconduct allegations against Gary broke last summer, and he was removed from BravoCon.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans will soon have the answers to some burning questions about Season 5 as the premiere nears.

As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Glenn teased the next season of the sailing show would hit Bravo airwaves this summer, but we have narrowed it down more.

When does Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 premiere in 2024?

Below Deck, Season 11 has entered the back half of the season, and we are closer to Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5. Based on the mid-season trailer for Below Deck, the Season 11 finale will air on Monday, May 20.

That means Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht should premiere on Monday, June 3. The reason for the two-week break will be for one of two reasons.

One is a Below Deck Season 11 reunion that will air on Monday, May 27. At this time, we don’t know if a reunion will happen, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes for a reunion. Below Deck reunions seem to be a thing of the past.

If there isn’t a Below Deck reunion, Below Deck Sailing Yacht will likely still air on June 3 because Monday, May 27, is Memorial Day. Odds are Bravo won’t air the premiere of a new season on a holiday.

This means that in less than two months, Below Deck Sailing Yacht will be back on the air.

When will a Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer drop?

While we wait for the Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiere date, Bravo should be giving fans a trailer for Season 5 in the next couple of weeks. Bravo tends to share more cast news and a teaser for new seasons about 4 to 6 weeks from the premiere date.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans can definitely expect a trailer before the end of April. Along with a teaser, we will learn about the cast or, instead, what we don’t already know.

Captain Glenn, Daisy, and Gary are all back for another stint on the Below Deck spin-off, as photos from filming last summer were leaked. The picture was revealed before the allegations against Gary, so it’s unclear as of now just how much Below Deck Sailing Yacht will portray him.
