Beyond his rap career, Lil Yachty assumes the role of record label executive with Concrete Rekordz, further contributing to the growth of Quality Control Music/HYBE. With their combined efforts, the label aims to continue shaping the future of hip-hop and beyond.

Speaking on the collaboration, Quality Control Music COO and co-founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee said, “Yachty has always had profound vision since the day we met and to see him take his curatorial magic and expand it to discover and enhance other artists is exciting to me. ”

Label CEO and co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas also adds, “I’m excited to see Yachty step into the role of executive alongside being one of the most formidable creatives in the world with such an eye for talent. Karrahbooo is a star and they are all going to be the new wave of cool that can bring something different to the culture that is so badly needed.”

Lil Yachty Launches His Label Concrete Rekordz, Backed By Quality Control And K-Pop Machine HYBE

Aaron Williams

Lil Yachty has been everywhere lately, collaborating with both major stars like Drake and J. Cole and rising stars like JID and Nemzzz . Now, he’s taking yet another step in furthering his rap dominance, announcing the launch of his new label, Concrete Rekordz. The label is named after his crew, Concrete Boys, who also comprise the roster, and is backed by the label that originally signed Yachty, Quality Control Music .

An additional wrinkle is that Quality Control is now owned by HYBE America , the stateside arm of the Korean entertainment company responsible for the success of K-pop groups like BTS, New Jeans, Seventeen, and Tomorrow X Together. In other words, there’s some serious muscle behind Concrete Rekordz, which accompanied the launch with the release of their new video for “Family Business.”

The Concrete Boys crew consists of Camo!, DC2TRILL, Draft Day, and Karrahbooo, who accompanied Yachty on his 2023 Field Trip Tour .

In a press release, Quality Control COO “Coach K” Lee said, “Yachty has always had profound vision since the day we met and to see him take his curatorial magic and expand it to discover and enhance other artists is exciting to me.” Meanwhile, his co-founder, QC CEO Pierre “P” Thomas, said, “I’m excited to see Yachty step into the role of executive alongside being one of the most formidable creatives in the world with such an eye for talent. Karrahbooo is a star and they are all going to be the new wave of cool that can bring something different to the culture that is so badly needed.”

KarrahBooo drops her new song and everybody loses their mind. “Running Late” is something different and her fans are eating it up. She is authentic and real. Check it out.

KarrahBooo, whose real name is Karrah Schuster, is a renowned American rapper, singer, and songwriter known for her hit tracks like “Splash Brothers,” “Box the 40,” “Money Counter,” and “Off the Dome.” In this post, we will delve into KarrahBooo’s background and other key details about her life and career.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Karrah Schuster, also known as KarrahBooo, celebrates her birthday on March 28 each year, although this information has yet to be officially verified. Based on her appearance, it is presumed that she is in her 20s or 30s and was likely born in either the 1990s or 1980s. As of now, details about her parents, siblings, and educational background remain undisclosed, as the young artist values her privacy and has chosen not to share much about her personal life.

KarrahBooo’s journey into the world of music is truly unique. In her youth, she enjoyed rapping with her cousins but initially aspired to become an actress. However, her aspirations took a different turn when she crossed paths with the rapper and actor Lil Yachty. Watching Lil Yachty’s acting roles on TV, such as in “Grown-ish” and “Chillin Island,” ignited her desire to pursue a career in rap.

In October 2022, KarrahBooo embarked on her music career by releasing a song titled “Money Counter” on YouTube, although it initially garnered limited attention. Her breakthrough came when Lil Yachty recognized her rapping talent and assisted her in securing a deal with his music label, Quality Control. She also became the first female rapper to join the group Concrete, of which Lil Yachty is a part.

In 2023, KarrahBooo gained widespread popularity with her track “Box the 40,” which garnered significant attention on Spotify. She followed up with the release of “Off The Dome” in July 2023. Additionally, she collaborated with fellow rapper Anycia, and together they produced the hit song “Splash Brothers” in October 2023, which amassed over 210,000 views on YouTube within just two weeks.

Although she has yet to release an EP or album, KarrahBooo revealed in a podcast that she has more than 30 unreleased songs, hinting at an exciting future in the music industry. Her journey, transitioning from an aspiring actress to a successful rapper with the support of Lil Yachty, is truly impressive.

Lil Yachty's Label Concrete Boyz set to release their first collaboration project 'It's Us Volume 1' this April

A ccording to NFR Podcast, Lil Yachty's record label, Concrete Boys (also known as Concrete Boyz), is set to release their first collaboration project titled It's Us: Volume 1 on all streaming platforms this April.

NFR's official X account posted on March 25, confirming the release date of the Concrete Boyz project as April 5, 2024. The post also revealed the featured artists, including Lil Yachty, Karrahbooo, Draft Day, DC2Trill, and Camo. The tweet read:

"LIL YACHTY, KARRAHBOOO, DRAFT DAY, DC2TRILL, CAMO!"

The tracklist for the upcoming album is yet to be confirmed, but based on the artists involved in this project, it's likely to showcase a fusion of alternative rock, R&B, and rap.

Lil Yachty and Concrete Boys Discography

Yachty (Lil Boat), who is currently signed to Quality Control, incorporated his own Record Label Concrete Boyz, a few years ago in an attempt to bring upcoming artists in his genre to the spotlight.

Over the years, Yachty and his team have been slowly recruiting rappers and artists from across the music industry, from 31 Camo to Karahbooo, all of whose music appears to have been inspired by Boat's discography.

Lil Yachty has also collaborated with his signees on some of his previous work. Below are two songs officially released alongside Artist Draft Day:

  • Demon Time (Feat. Draft Day)
  • POPOVICH Freestyle (Feat. Draft Day)

On May 29, 2020, Yachty released his fourth studio album, titled Lil Boat 3 , across all DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) via Quality Control Music and Motown Records. The 19-track project included a track titled Concrete Boys .

This track acted as the official introduction to the "Concrete Crew" he was building with his record label. The song includes a shout-out to the Concrete Boys in the chorus when Yachty implies that when his "back is against the wall," he can always rely on his crew to come through for him.

Another notable bar from Lil Yachty's song has been listed below:

"I just woke up, dreamin' 'bout the rose (Oh my God) / They had ni**as 'round me who don't stand on toes (Hell nah) / Barely ever do I think about my foes / How much longer will I live? Only God knows."

On December 16, 2023, a song titled Mo Jams was released on the official YouTube channel for Concrete Boys, alongside a music video that featured most of the CB roster, except for 31 Camo. Mo Jams was produced by Rawbone and acts as the first official collaboration between the members of Concrete Boys.

This track, although not being released on DSPs, has garnered significant attention for an upcoming collaboration project by racking up almost 4 million views on YouTube.

As fans await a Concrete Boys collaboration album, Lil Yachty continues to impress fans by following up on his widely acclaimed 2023 project Let's Start Here, which found the rapper delving into a more experimental sound with his music.

Notably, Yachty has been releasing a string of singles, which include his collaboration with Fred Again.. on stayinit. The rapper was also featured on Lyrical Lemonade's debut studio album, All Is Yellow , which dropped two months ago in January 2024.

Lil Yachty Leaves Karrahboo Stunned, Refuses To Back Her Use Of The N-Word

"You shouldn't say that."

Wireless Festival 2023 - Day 2

Rising rapper Karrahboo found herself in a state of shock when fellow artist Lil Yachty declined to defend her use of the controversial N-word. The exchange, caught on video, has left fans buzzing with conversations about cultural sensitivity and the responsibilities that come with growing influence. In the video, Karrahboo expressed her frustration with the criticism she receives for using the N-word. "I do get kinda annoyed," she admitted, shedding light on the daily types of messages she recieves questioning her choice. "Every day somebody calls me, like, 'Why do y'all keep letting her say ni--a?' Or they be like, 'Can you stop saying that?'" she explained, visibly seeking support from Lil Yachty. "So why dont y'all go ahead and defend me in front of everybody right now?" she asked.

However, Yachty's response was unexpected. "That won't happen," he asserted. He essentially shut down any notion of defending her use of the term. "You shouldn't say that," he added bluntly, leaving Karrahboo and viewers taken aback by the refusal to offer solidarity.

Yachty Does Not Defend Karrahboo

Moreover, Lil Yachty's stance, asserting that Karrahboo "shouldn't say that," was one that many social media users agreed with. It speaks to the evolving conversations within the genre about cultural appropriation and the responsibility artists bear in influencing their audience. "To 'want' to use that word is weird. Let’s expand our vocabulary," one person commented. "Idk if she shocked that they really feel like that or if she shocked they said that on camera...Girl you know you should not be saying that stop it," another said.

As the video circulates on social media, opinions diverge on whether Lil Yachty's refusal is a stance against cultural insensitivity or a reflection of a broader conversation about language and identity within the hip-hop community. The incident serves as a reminder that artists, regardless of their status, can spark significant discussions about cultural appropriation and the weight that certain words carry in the ever-evolving landscape of hip-hop.

Who is CONCRETE'S Karrahbooo?

Lil yachty's first female signee..

yachty karrahbooo

"We can run the ones or you can box the 40" is a lyric taken straight out of the song "Box the 40" which is one of three releases solo tracks underground artist Karrahbooo has on streaming services. It seems like Karrabooo has come out of nowhere, apart of Yachty's CONCRETE team, it seems like Yachty has been on an incredible run this year, with his album and the numerous singles he has released. A few weeks ago Yatchy and his concrete crew took to the platform ON THE RADAR and performed a collective freestyle which sees karrahbooo as the clear standout. Her freestyle, which was taken from her single "Box The 40" has sparked a spike in her popularity which has many people wondering who and where she came from.

yachty karrahbooo

Karahabooo, whose real name is Karrah Schuster, hasn't been rapping for a long time. She's barely begun her journey as a hip hop artist. Her introduction to the idea of rapping started during her time as Yachty's assistant and watching him do voice-over work for a movie. As she has stated on Lil Yachty's "A Safe Space" podcast and in her personal interviews, she was inspired to rap because of Yatchy's achieving career. "He had to go do voiceovers for this movie and I was like he has been in hella movies because he is a rapper and that's when I decided to be a rapper because it was my way to be an actress" So Yatchy proceeded to fire her from his assistant position then recorded her song "Money Counter"

"booted up at 7 am at @tivafox apartment with my friends @crackcobain__ @Ksace_ and wanted to try making my first song. I was just tryna rhymemy thoughts at that moment lol."

Karrahbooo's sounds is essentially in line with this new wave Yatchy and his team have been on lately. She is currently working on building her discography, even though nothing concrete has been announced. *pun intended*

In recent years, there has been a remarkable surge in the prominence and influence of female rappers within the music industry. Breaking through traditional gender norms, these talented artists have been making waves with their powerful lyrics, distinct styles, and unapologetic authenticity. From established icons to emerging talents, the diversity among female rappers has contributed to a dynamic and multifaceted landscape in hip-hop. Not only are these artists challenging stereotypes they are also delivering exceptional music that resonates with a broad audience. Their lyrical prowess, unique perspectives, and innovative approaches to production have garnered widespread acclaim, reshaping the narrative of what defines success in the rap genre. As the industry continues to embrace and celebrate the contributions of female rappers, Karrahbooo's impact on the cultural and artistic landscape is going to be undeniable, ushering in a new era of inclusivity and creativity in hip-hop.
