Fabulous place! Went for breakfast with the family this morning, great setting with views across the harbour. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, coming up with a solution (bowl of strawberries followed by Nutella on toast for the difficult 6yr old). Full English was spot... on, the bacon was the best I’ve had home or away for some time, good value at just under €8 including OJ and a coffee. Here as everywhere we’ve encountered so far in Alvor fully COVID compliant. Only wish we were staying longer so I could sample again! More

Beautiful view of the harbour, calm and relaxing to sit with a cold beer and watch the world go by. We ate here with our two children. The food was good, burgers tasty and children’s meal with drink, main course and ice cream all included... for less than €7 each. More

I'm sure they do a nice dinner too, but we availed of their hospitality for lunch for three days during our week stay, I think my wife would have spent more! You're on holiday, you want to kick back with a fantastic view, have a... beer and some nice lunch, watching the activity on the waterfront. The Chicken piri-piri was excellent and the chocolate brownie was fantastic too. Yep, it was August so at times the service was not as quick as you might like, but if you're on holiday, what's the rush! Nice staff and look forward to returning again. We enjoy the sun so Alvour hits the spot, people are lovely and they know how to make you feel welcome. They know the game so well. My favourite is sardines band my wife Pam loves octopus, so one of each with a small salad... and local pototos More

Went for an English breakfast which cost 11 Euros the breakfast arrived one egg short asked for the bill and it had jumped 3.50 euros whenever you challenge the staff they don’t like it, make out they don’t understand. (They know very well what they... are up to!!!) Not very nice ripping off the tourists they won’t come back!!!! More

Just finished late lunch/ dinner and must complement Sophia on her wonderful service and friendly approach. Fish was beautifully cooked and hot,could not fault anything the entire time we where there. Sophia even went to the bother of organising a taxi for us and then... insisted we stay seated until the the taxi arrived and she would then come to let us know it had arrived. Sophia thank you, we look forward to our next visit. More

We have visited this cafe, bar on several occasions. The staff are really friendly and helpful, whether it’s a coffee, beer or meal they go out of their way to make you feel special. If in the area, want a special moment, then head their... way. Views across the bay are sensational. More

Only stopped for drinks but the service wasn’t great; it was quick but unfriendly. Food options very British such as toasties and sandwiches, so they seem to cater to tourists, which is of course great and necessary. but not if you are looking for something... a bit more authentic/high quality. Also not the fault of the restaurant at all, but be careful in this area, as a man approached us trying to sell drugs! Keep a close eye on bags if sat outside. More

Chose a nice table overlooking the harbour. A good place to watch what was going on. We ordered drinks and a nice meal. A great location with views over the harbour. A lovely place for a leisurely lunch and to watch the world go by. Always visit come here when in Alvor, either on my own or with family and friends. The breakfasts are very good and popular... and they serve breakfast until early afternoon. Can also recommend their club sandwich and tuna salad I had the chicken piri piri which is probably the best that I have had in Alvor. It comes with french fries and salad. Reasonably priced and enjoyed with a half bottle of white wine. An enjoyable lunch, unrushed, friendly service and a great place to sit and eat. Will visit again before leaving Alvor More

I had a lovely plate of food with a wonderful view of the harbour at Alvor. My meal was a chicken steak in a creamy mushroom sauce with rice and chips. Really nice it was too, a meal to have again. I also had a... mango iced tea to help wash it down. Service was quite slow here, no reason or apology given, thankfully we weren’t in a hurry but could sit and enjoy the view. More

I visited this restaurant on Sunday 18th September at about 2pm.We waited for a long time to order drinks and when eventually a waiter came over he seemed extremely irritated to be asked and despite telling him that we knew what we wanted he kept... insisting that we looked at the menu while he went off to serve someone else! When he eventually came back after a lot of gesturing from us,he was even more angry and said,you ll have to wait until I wipe the table .He then disappeared again . After another 10 minutes he came back and said what do you want? At this stage we were struggling to be polite and I said, I thought you were going to wipe the table? At this he exploded ,asked me if I d like to do it and said he was going to get a cloth .He was back in 3seconds,wiped the table and that was the last time he came near us. We asked another,female waitress to serve us and eventually got a drink.his attitude was atrocious, No matter how busy they are,no one should be treated like this .we ll never be back,nor would we recommend this restaurant. Disappointed in the service this afternoon. Very long wait for menu then someone to actually take the order which was then not correct. Having visited this restaurant bar many times in the past we always return. Now it appears they are too laid back and... rely on their waterfront location to keep them busy rather than return customers due to their service and helpful staff. More

At first, we waited to be seated. After about 5 minutes, we went inside to ask about a table. Although multiple waiters were floating around, no one spoke to us. We were told to grab any available table, which we did. For 10 minutes, the... table wasn’t cleared from the people before us. We then pushed everything aside ourselves, and then when we asked to order (another 5 minutes), waiter rudely said, “I still have to clear the table.” Then went to take an order for someone who arrived after us. Went for an English breakfast which cost 11 Euros the breakfast arrived one egg short asked for the bill and it had jumped 3.50 euros whenever you challenge the staff they don’t like it, make out they don’t understand. (They know very well what they... are up to!!!) Not very nice ripping off the tourists they won’t come back!!!! More

Just finished late lunch/ dinner and must complement Sophia on her wonderful service and friendly approach. Fish was beautifully cooked and hot,could not fault anything the entire time we where there. Sophia even went to the bother of organising a taxi for us and then... insisted we stay seated until the the taxi arrived and she would then come to let us know it had arrived. We have visited this cafe, bar on several occasions. The staff are really friendly and helpful, whether it’s a coffee, beer or meal they go out of their way to make you feel special. If in the area, want a special moment, then head their... way. Views across the bay are sensational. More

Only stopped for drinks but the service wasn’t great; it was quick but unfriendly. Food options very British such as toasties and sandwiches, so they seem to cater to tourists, which is of course great and necessary. but not if you are looking for something... a bit more authentic/high quality. Chose a nice table overlooking the harbour. A good place to watch what was going on. We ordered drinks and a nice meal. I had garlic bread which was simply a baguette that had been sliced and garlic butter applied before being heated. For main... course I had chicken piri piri. A great location with views over the harbour. A lovely place for a leisurely lunch and to watch the world go by. Always visit come here when in Alvor, either on my own or with family and friends. The breakfasts are very good and popular... and they serve breakfast until early afternoon. Can also recommend their club sandwich and tuna salad I had the chicken piri piri which is probably the best that I have had in Alvor. It comes with french fries and salad. Reasonably priced and enjoyed with a half bottle of white wine. An enjoyable lunch, unrushed, friendly service and a great place to sit and eat. Will visit again before leaving Alvor More

I had a lovely plate of food with a wonderful view of the harbour at Alvor. My meal was a chicken steak in a creamy mushroom sauce with rice and chips. Really nice it was too, a meal to have again. I visited this restaurant on Sunday 18th September at about 2pm.We waited for a long time to order drinks and when eventually a waiter came over he seemed extremely irritated to be asked and despite telling him that we knew what we wanted he kept... insisting that we looked at the menu while he went off to serve someone else! When he eventually came back after a lot of gesturing from us,he was even more angry and said,you ll have to wait until I wipe the table .He then disappeared again . After another 10 minutes he came back and said what do you want? At this stage we were struggling to be polite and I said, I thought you were going to wipe the table? At this he exploded ,asked me if I d like to do it and said he was going to get a cloth .He was back in 3seconds,wiped the table and that was the last time he came near us. We asked another,female waitress to serve us and eventually got a drink.his attitude was atrocious, No matter how busy they are,no one should be treated like this .we ll never be back,nor would we recommend this restaurant. Disappointed in the service this afternoon. Very long wait for menu then someone to actually take the order which was then not correct. Having visited this restaurant bar many times in the past we always return. Now it appears they are too laid back and... rely on their waterfront location to keep them busy rather than return customers due to their service and helpful staff. More

At first, we waited to be seated. After about 5 minutes, we went inside to ask about a table. Although multiple waiters were floating around, no one spoke to us. We were told to grab any available table, which we did. For 10 minutes, the... table wasn’t cleared from the people before us. “Idyllic ” Review of Yacht Club Cafe Bar

Lovely setting, great food (been twice - lunch and breakfast) and couldn't find faulty anywhere. Service very friendly and efficient. Vinho Verde first class! Thoroughly recommend. 👍 ☺

Called here for a quick cocktail on way back to hotel. Initially sat in the sun then asked our waiter if we could move into the shade. After a couple of minutes the new waiter for that area came over and saw we already had drinks. He demanded quite rudely to know which table we had come from. We pointed to where it was but he said he needed to know a number as 'it's all on the system'. We said we'll we will pay you now for the drinks but even more aggressively he said he needed the number. My husband had to walk over and point out the table. Our first waiter smiled and acknowledged we had moved. We would have had a second drink but paid and left. Ease off Mister and look after your customers ! Guess you have people leaving without paying but don't assume everyone will do that

Great little spot for people watching overlooking the harbour/ estuary. We just had drinks, and staff were attentive and engaged in polite conversation. Prices were reasonable too given location.

The Yacht Club became our local for an afternoon drink during our recent holiday, its a fab place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. On a couple of occasions we had lunch and the salads were lovely and very filling too. Its a very busy restaurant and sometimes its hard to get the waiters attention but once we did we were dealt with quickly.

The Yacht Club on the shore of Alvor Harbour is simply beautiful. While sitting outside, waiting for you food and drink, watch Alvor In a different light. Peaceful, quiet and nature at its best. How I would love to change my life... The food here is superb and the drinks are always top notch but the service is also second to none. Friendly bunch and well worth a visit like every day or two, morning, afternoon or night. Great work guys...
