Grand Theft Auto V: Father/Son Walkthrough

In this Grand Theft Auto V walkthrough, we will be focusing on the Father/Son mission featuring James “Jimmy” De Santa, the son of main character Michael De Santa. This mission is commonly referred to as the “Jimmy Boat,” “Jimmy Yacht,” or “Jimmy Kidnapped” mission.

The mission begins with Franklin meeting Michael, who introduces himself as Frank. After a brief conversation, Franklin leaves the project and the player takes control of Michael.

Jimmy’s Kidnapping

Upon Franklin’s return, Michael asks for a favor – to retrieve his stolen yacht. Michael and Franklin go after the yacht in Amanda’s car, and eventually, catch up to the thieves. Franklin jumps onto the yacht and fights off the thieves, succeeding in securing it. Meanwhile, Jimmy is wearing a mask and brandishing a gun, presumably to carjack the car he was riding in, but ends up being spotted by the player in a later mission.

Delivering the Yacht

After securing the yacht, Michael and Franklin need to deliver it to a buyer. However, during the ride, Michael and Franklin become fast friends while Jimmy continues to be a nuisance, constantly fighting with Michael. Michael and Franklin bond over their shared experiences and Franklin offers to give Jimmy a ride home.

Father and Son

On the car journey home, Jimmy reveals that he stole and sold Michael’s car to a group of “gangbangers.” Michael is furious, which prompts Franklin to offer to help Jimmy fix the situation. Michael is skeptical of Franklin’s offer, but comes around after Franklin repeatedly insists on helping out.

The Father/Son mission is a pivotal moment in Grand Theft Auto V’s storyline, giving us insights into the dynamic between Michael and his son Jimmy. Through the shared experience of retrieving Michael’s stolen yacht, Michael and Franklin form a bond that ultimately helps to bring Michael and Jimmy closer together as well. In this walkthrough, the mission is completed without any major hiccups, and all characters come out relatively unscathed.

like as long as you don’t wander too far from the frankish and you don’t get the waypoint in another video we did just a few days ago we can we took took franklin and market for a drive up to see Trevor and at this point in time Trevor hasn’t been introduced we don’t know who leases character you don’t know where he was wandering around and Franklin certainly knows about his relationship with Michael so we took a drive up there and we could do that on this mission at this point in the game no repercussion is as far as fun which it goes as long as leading one to too far from where Michael and from where Franklin Nestor so they’re not too far away from they will be setting up for the first time so just sneaking behind there and I suspect just as we come around the corner we’re going to see it yacht whizzing by and then we can start pursuit alright so rolling again I’m just following the GPS that gives us the most direct route to where we need to be slow down here a touch because this car is really tailee and I want to keep up with it now you’ll notice here we’re in Amenas car not Michaels of Franklin’s despite them both being presumably at the house oh wow that is spectacular and it didn’t go over a day by the Franklin pulling up to jump on it we sneak up nice and gentle Motul Franklin you don’t hit the car too much so but rather too much in there because oh there it goes don’t hit the trailer too much because it bounces you in sliding down a fitted and that’s that’s not great so slow and steady and smooth for this one and it’s Franklin just wrestling that dude up it’s hot give me the rope you guys let’s make sure hit getting got it did I get it huh he’s stuck all right that’s interesting there’s Jimmy that’s just a cup Jimmy’s in a mask so what you need to do now need to watch out because that sometimes I was thinking traffic which makes it a bit hard slow and steady and smooth there he is it get and our boy is still stuck there all right so now we have to wait for Franklin to get on the back of the yacht and off we go there he goes slow and steady and smooth you don’t try and pop you got too much otherwise yes boys the whole mission there so pick it back up again Franklin systematic position and then we’re nearly there all right now we’ve looked at this before despite the fact that it feels like we gonna find out we’re actually not rocks Donna has a bit of a knack for what has that shot and has a bit of a knack for solving things down and making things a bit more linear then you might otherwise consider getting this game popper link up so that’s while it looks like it’s open at that point what they’re doing is they’re kicking you very much on track and they’re also slowing the yacht down to a point where we’ve seen similar things with fast friends in this one that’s really cool and Jimmy’s just wears such a trihard all right so rockstar has done a couple of things in this game they’ve introduced convertibles to the game and the fact that you can’t get out of them fairly easily they’ve introduced the shooting and driving mechanic in this one I know we saw a little bit in the motorcycle mission a little while about but a bit more accurate a bit more fun with the yoke there and they’ve introduced cabs and we have introduced the most los santos customs as well as a place to go and get a car done now we’re not tricking out the main is right today it’s just plain and simple deliver the home and pin it and sorry deliver a repaired car then we’ve got a bit of dialogue coming up I’ll see if I can get this home with yet too much stuff no I mean sure Jimmy Amy our James Jimmy or just like chiselled nah man I’ll just stick with Jimmy home so uh what’s the deal man huh you my old man I see you at the dealership then someone steals my width and Papa’s are like he’s been down there to talk to you guys your pops didn’t want to talk what’d he do look man if he ain’t tell you I goat it but I lost my [ __ ] job and I thought GTA Online: How To Complete The Superyacht Life Missions

The Superyacht Life Missions are a complex series of quests in GTA Online. Here's everything players need to know about them.

What is a superyacht life, mission 1: overboard, mission 2: salvage, mission 3: all hands, mission 4: icebreaker, mission 5: bon voyage.

Unlike most entries in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, Grand Theft Online allows players to breathe life into their characters and explore Southern San Andreas as their own crime lords-to-be. Now outside the confines of the stories of usual Grand Theft Auto protagonists, GTA Online players are left to their own devices to make a name for themselves with a rising criminal empire. That, or just go have explosive mayhem with their friends.

Thankfully, players who want a genuine GTA experience can rely on missions to give them a semblance of sanity in the game’s setting. One such quest is “A Superyacht Life,” which in itself is a series of six missions that players can pursue with up to three friends. What makes “A Superyacht Life” one of the most memorable quest lines in the hit online installment, and how can players complete it?

Available through the Los Santos Summer Special update released in 2020, “A Superyacht Life” is a questline given to a player or up to four players. This questline is primarily set in the Galaxy Super Yacht , an expensive GTA Online vehicle that players will eventually own.

Similar to other questlines in GTA Online , the ones provided in A Superyacht Life revolve around an interconnected plot point. Players must assist the quest-giver, Captain Brendan Darcy, in various duties involving the usage of the Galaxy Super Yacht. These include undersea missions, cargo retrieval, and even fulfilling the goals of high-end clients.

Accessing The Quests

Players can access "A Superyacht Life" from the Bridge of the Galaxy Super Yacht. From here, they should head to the Captain’s Workstation to load the current mission available to them.

Alternatively, players may be able to use their smartphone to call Captain Brendan Darcy and then choose a Request Job. The current available mission in the series should be made accessible to players. Both these options are available as long as players haven’t completed the questline in full.

When players access this mission, a distressed Captain Darcy informs the player that someone has stolen the yacht’s jetskis (another expensive GTA Online vehicle ) as well as important documents related to both the Captain and the players. The documents specify that they are “permanent residents of international waters.”

First, head to the Vespucci Canals, the last known location of the joyriders. The waterworks can prove tricky ground to eliminate the thieves at first, but the area provides both decent cover and a lot of openings to shoot opponents.

The Captain will then inform players that the thieves were part of a Puerto Del Sol yacht club, which means players have to exact revenge against them. To do this, they need to head to the yacht club and sink the 10 boats located there. Players need to do this fast, as one of the boats may attempt to sail away from danger. This second objective is tricky, as this part of the mission is done with a Wanted level that doesn’t lower. The yacht club also has medium-level Security Guards. Moreover, the mission is only completed once players lose their Wanted level as well.

After a successful encounter with thieves, the Captain sends players to their second Grand Theft Auto mission . "Salvage" resembles a more modern take on sea exploration, albeit with a dash of wanton violence. The Captain informs a player of a distress call that has come from a sunken supply ship, the Olifantus, not too far from them. Should they make it in time, they will be able to retrieve the cargo and the loot for themselves.

Retrieving Supplies

Players are first directed to a dredge barge just south of the yacht. Go underwater towards the shipwreck and slowly retrieve the supplies. Players can’t stay underwater for too long, though. They are able to rise and swim back courtesy of Rebreathers, around 10 of which are provided. Players may also use their own scuba suit for this portion of the game.

Dealing With The Kkangpae

The Captain, via a call, congratulates the player after their retrieval of the cargo. Unfortunately, the sound of glass breaking can be heard, as well as the implication that part of the cargo has been stolen. Players have to go back to the ship, only to see it hijacked by the Kkangpae. They will also notice some enemies riding Dinghies circling their yacht. The confrontation with the Kkangpae is tricky, as players find themselves surrounded. There is no time limit for rescuing the Captain though, so players can take their time.

After eliminating the Kkangpae, players will receive a call from an unknown number with the Captain on the line. He will explain that the Kkangpae took him and the bartender hostage as revenge for the yacht destruction in the previous mission. Players will be directed to a peninsula near Cape Catfish, with one area designated as a hostage site. Be careful during this portion of the mission, as the player's travel towards the peninsula will have them encounter various Kkangpae. Not only that, they need to steer clear of the hostage site, as the Captain and bartender will be executed once players are seen at a particular distance. Eliminating the hostiles stealthily will complete the mission.

The adventures of the players and the Galaxy Super Yacht take a wilder turn fitting the Grand Theft Auto name courtesy of the third mission. When players accept their mission, the Captain tells the player of a business deal they have to salvage involving the Pacific Country Club. Apparently, an unknown party has started setting club members' cars on fire, and it’s up to players to stop this. Despite its straightforward nature, the mission has a particular complexity that players need to consider.

Stealing The Tula

First, go to the LSIA to steal a Tula (an aerial firefighting plane) from the coast guard before the fire department is able to respond to the situation. When players arrive at the airport, around 10 Coast Guard members are patrolling the area. Players will notice stealth visibility cones in their minimaps, all from the Coast Guard members. Players need to steal the Tula quietly, as getting spotted will give players 2 Stars in Wanted levels.

Once players do steal the Tula, they will notice a new part of the HUD: a “Water Remaining” gauge. Players need to land on water periodically to refill it, and should do so until they have around eight water gauges. This serves as “water bombs” to wipe out the fire in the garage. After filling up the bars, players will get a text message warning them to stay out of this problem.

Putting Out Fires

Players will notice eight burning cars when they arrive at the country club, all of which they have to extinguish. This becomes challenging as Kkangpae try to destroy the Tula from the ground. The added challenge here is that players only have five minutes to save all these vehicles.

When players finish this segment, the Captain will tell players that they need to go to the Pipeline Inn nearby to save yet another set of vehicles. This time around, players need to save six more vehicles within another five minutes while enemies try to destroy the Tula. After putting out all the fires, the Captain will tell players to bring the Tula back to the yacht for disposal. The mission ends when the player lands the Tula near the yacht.

Despite the difficulty of the mission, failing and restarting does get players next to the Tula without any enemies present. This allows them to simply load the Tula with water and proceed with the rest of the mission.

In the fourth mission, the Captain has begun formulating a plan for exacting vengeance against the Kkangpae for the previous mission’s kidnapping. This becomes a more action-packed take on the questline, akin to more standard missions in the title.

First, players have to go to the Fridgit Cold Storage warehouse inside the Cypress Flats. The mission will tell them to destroy all AC units that maintain the temperature of the gang’s products. During this part of the mission, the Kkangpae will attack players from Frogger choppers from the skies and from other rooftops. Players new to GTA Online need to be careful here, as they might be overwhelmed.

Next, players are asked to steal Benson, a product that the gang is currently preparing to deliver. The Captain will then tell players to deliver the product to the buyer themselves. During the process of delivery, the Kkangpae will still try to chase and attack the players from various directions and from different vehicles. The buyer is located in Del Perro’s Hedera Hotel, in an alley behind the structure. The mission is completed after players exit the vehicle.

Bon Voyage takes place during a heavy thunderstorm. At the start of this mission, the Captain tells players that the heavy rain has shut down both yacht’s engines and generators. Even the power onboard will go down, and the helicopter aboard the expensive GTA Online yacht explodes while waves of enemies slowly arrive.

The yacht usually has anti-aircraft systems, but the lack of electricity means they’re non-functional. Only the players are able to defend the yacht. This is perhaps the most difficult confrontation in the questline. Enemies will be coming from multiple fronts: enemies already onboard, those arriving from the sea, and those rappelling down from choppers.

There will be three waves of enemies of progressing difficulty. Unfortunately, players won’t be able to enter the interior of the yacht. However, players will continuously see Body Armor and Health pack pickups on the top deck just outside the bridge’s entry to give them the occasional boost.

After the second wave, the Captain will realize that the attackers are once again the Kkangpae. When players reach the third wave, the Captain will finally get power back on the yacht and activate the defenses. This gives players an offensive boost, as the Captain will be able to handle threats from the skies. After players clear the remaining threats from the boats and on the ground, they will finally complete the mission.

You can access  up to 74 missions in a single playthrough of GTA V, depending on your choices. Playing from the " Prologue " all the way to one of the three possible endings is required for 100% completion .

It is strongly advised to leave the 4 optional Assassination missions for last , until after the main storyline is completed, so that you can make the most money by the end of the game.

GTA V Last Mission: Endings

Grand Theft Auto V has three possible endings that you can choose from, each with significantly different outcomes for the GTA 5 last mission.

It has been confirmed that Ending C (Deathwish) is the canon ending of GTA V, and it's recommended to choose it if you don't want to lose access to one of the main characters.

70 . Something Sensible (Ending A)

Franklin has to make a choice.

WARNING: If you pick this ending, you will permanently lose access to Trevor from this point forward.

70 . The Time's Come (Ending B)

WARNING: If you pick this ending, you will permanently lose access to Michael from this point forward.

70 . The Third Way (Ending C)

Michael, Franklin, and Trevor take down all their enemies: ambush FIB agents and Merryweather mercenaries at the foundry in Murrieta Heights, then target Wei Cheng, Stretch, Steve Haines and Devin Weston.

Lester's Assassinations (Side Missions)

The following are the  GTA V's Assassination Missions given by Lester Crest to Franklin. Only the first (" The Hotel Assassination ") is required for story progression, which is why it's also listed as a main story mission above.

The other four Assassinations are optional, and it's strongly advised to play them after finishing the main storyline , in order to make the most profit out of the stock market investment.

1. The Hotel Assassination

2. The Multi Target Assassination

Lester tasks Franklin to take down four corrupt jurors that are planning to throw a class-action lawsuit against Redwood Cigarettes.

3. The Vice Assassination

Franklin must find and kill Jackson Skinner, the head of product development at Facade. 

4. The Bus Assassination

Lester asks Franklin to assassinate a man called Isaac Penny, who is about to take a controlling share in the Vapid Motor Company. 

5. The Construction Assassination

In the last Assassination, Lester tells Franklin to take down Enzo Bonelli, a mafia member turned real estate developer. 

Note:  Even though  Lester's Assassination Missions  are optional (not required for story progression), they're still counted under the main "Missions" checklist, and they're still needed for 100% completion of the game.

How many missions are in GTA 5?

Despite the GTA V in-game statistics stating that the game has 69 missions , there are actually many more missions available, with branching paths and three possible endings. 

There are actually 83 available story missions in total in GTA 5, which you can find all listed on this page. However, due to the branching nature of Heist approaches, only  74 missions  are played in a single playthrough, while the others can be accessed by selecting different paths.

So why does the game's checklist show "only" 69 missions instead of 74? Well, Rockstar has decided to not include the  "Fire Truck" and "BZ Gas Grenades" heist setups in their listing, and they also don't count the 3 optional "Family Missions" that Micheal can do. This is probably so they could make a reference to the "69" number on purpose, in typical Rockstar fashion.

What do Mission Icon Colors mean in GTA 5?

Since GTA V features three playable protagonists, the game indicates with unique colors on the map the missions that can be started by the different characters:

• A blue icon on the map shows missions that can be started by Michael
• A green icon on the map shows missions that can be started by Franklin
• An orange icon on the map icon shows missions that can be started by Trevor
• If you see a question mark on the map, it's a Strangers & Freaks  side mission.

You can also see the number of missions currently available for each protagonist when switching between them via the Character Wheel.

How to Replay Missions in GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto V features mission scoring, with specific objectives (such as time, damage, accuracy, etc.) required to achieve the  Gold Medal in a mission.

Just completing a mission will give you a Bronze Medal by default. You earn a Silver Medal by meeting at least one objective, but you must complete 100% of the objectives to earn a Gold Medal.

To improve your score, you can replay the missions you already completed, by accessing the Pause Menu and going to the "Game" tab.

It's important to note that you can complete each Gold Medal requirement in multiple playthroughs of the mission - you don't need to obtain them all in one single playthrough.

Earning at least 70 Gold Medals between Missions and Strangers & Freaks is required for the  "Solid Gold, Baby!" Achievement / Trophy .

How to Play All Endings in GTA 5

If you would like to play all three endings in Grand Theft Auto V in a single playthrough, and experience what each ending has to offer, the game allows you to do so.

After completing one of the endings, you will find the ability to play the two other endings by accessing the Pause Menu, going to "Game" > Replay Mission", and scrolling all the way to the bottom.

However, this won't change the original choice you made during the course of the playthrough.

If you're unsure on what ending to choose, it's advised to first  make a save in a separate slot after completing "The Big Score" mission. At this point, you are free to experiment with choosing and playing any of the three endings, knowing that you always have a previously saved game that you can return to choose a different ending.

Unless you want to lose access to Michael or Trevor after the end of the story, we strongly recommend choosing  Ending C (Deathwish) , as that's also been confirmed to be the canon ending of the game.

More GTA 5 Side Missions

In addition to the main GTA 5 Story Mode, GTA V also features other optional side missions and activities that can be played.

These include Strangers & Freaks missions , which involve interesting characters that Michael, Franklin, or Trevor can encounter outside the main story.

There are also many  Hobbies & Pastimes and Random Events that you can take part in if you want to fully complete the game.

GTA Online Yacht Missions And Payouts

GTA Online offers a wide variety of mission chains and quests, providing players with the opportunity to earn substantial rewards. Among these missions are the Yacht missions, which are part of the "A Superyacht Life series" and become available after purchasing a Yacht. 

To assist you in completing these missions and obtaining the associated rewards, we have provided a comprehensive breakdown below. We will outline the specifics of each Yacht mission, explain the payout structure, and reveal the rewards you can expect upon completion.

GTA Online - All Yacht Missions

As part of the Los Santos Summer Special update in Grand Theft Auto Online, players can engage in a series of six missions called " A Superyacht Life. " These missions are assigned by Brendan Darcy, the captain of the player's Galaxy Super Yacht, and can be played by a group of 1 to 4 players.

Below are the descriptions of all six of these Yacht missions in GTA Online:

Mission 1: Overboard

Captain Darcy alerts the player that the yacht's jetskis and important documents, which establish both the Captain and the player as permanent residents of international waters, have been stolen. The player is instructed to proceed to the Vespucci Canals, where the joyriders were last spotted. Eliminating the thieves in this area can be challenging, but it offers decent cover and strategic shooting positions.

The Captain reveals that the culprits are members of the Puerto Del Sol yacht club, prompting the player to seek revenge. The next objective is to head to the yacht club and sink the 10 boats docked there. Time is of the essence, as a boat may attempt to escape. Sink them all, and the mission will be completed.

Mission 2: Salvage

Brendan Darcy informs the player about a distress call from a sunken supply ship nearby. They are directed to a dredge barge to collect the sunken cargo around the wrecked Olifantus ship. 

After retrieving the cargo, the player returns to find the yacht invaded by the Kkangpae. They eliminate the hijackers and receive a call from Brendan, who reveals he and the bartender have been taken hostage. The player rescues them while fending off attackers and returns to the yacht.

Mission 3: All Hands

Brendan alerts the player about a problematic business deal at the Pacific Country Club. They must steal firefighting planes from LSIA to extinguish cars set on fire by club members. Guards at the airport trigger a 2-star wanted level until the Tula is acquired.

After refueling in the air and receiving a threatening text message, the player heads to the country club. They extinguish burning vehicles while fending off Kkangpae attacks. There's a 5-minute time limit for each task. Brendan mentions additional fires at the Pipeline Inn. Returning the Tula to the yacht concludes the mission. Failing restarts at the LSIA hangar without enemies.

Mission 4: Icebreaker

Brendan Darcy devises a revenge plan against the Kkangpae for kidnapping him. The player destroys air-conditioning units at the Fridgit Cold Storage warehouse and steals the prepared product. 

The player must deliver the goods while fending off Kkangpae attacks. The mission ends when the player reaches the buyer in an alley behind the Hedera Hotel in Del Perro.

Mission 5: Bon Voyage

The mission starts with a stormy setting as the yacht's systems fail. Enemies attack from different directions, including onboard, in Dinghies, and from Buzzards. Brendan reveals that the attackers are the Kkangpae, the gang that previously kidnapped him. 

The player defends the yacht through three waves of enemies. Brendan restores power and requests the player to eliminate remaining foes on foot and in boats. The mission ends after completing this task.

Mission 5: D-Day

Brendan informs the player about the boss of a money laundering outfit staying on a heavily defended yacht. He suggests using a Kraken submersible to sneak past their defenses. The sub is located near a barge, close to the rival yacht's defensive zone patrolled by Dinghies.

While operating the sub, the player must stay low to avoid detection and navigate through underwater mines. A detection meter shows the player's visibility to the yacht's defenses, while a depth meter indicates their underwater level. Staying at a safe depth of around 275-350ft is crucial. The surrounding area is patrolled by boats, so the player must remain submerged.

Approaching the yacht's vicinity, the player resurfaces and boards the ship, engaging multiple enemies onboard. After eliminating all enemies, the boss tries to escape in a helicopter. The player must give chase, with the helicopter being escorted by two others. Dinghies also join the pursuit. The escort helicopters have gunners armed with RPGs. The target helicopter's health is displayed on-screen. Once the helicopter is destroyed and the boss is killed, Brendan suggests collecting the bounty on the boss's head, concluding the mission.

GTA Online - Yacht Missions Payouts

Currently, we don't have an exact number for the payout of each of these missions, since they depend on other factors such as the rank you play at and the amount of time the mission takes. However, we can say that the payout will be around the $38,000 mark (adjusting for the 25% increase thanks to the recent update), as after they are all complete, players will earn the Captain's Outfit as a souvenir.

Grand Theft Auto 5: 20 Hidden Missions You Didn't Know About

• GTA 5 is full of hidden, bizarre, and satirical missions that fans enjoy for the unique experiences offered.
• These secret missions, from sabotaged submarines to cannibal cults, add depth to the game world of Los Santos and are worth uncovering.
• Players can even hunt Sasquatch, tackle alien invasions, manage properties, and more in these intriguing and entertaining activities.

The iconic Grand Theft Auto 5 is all about immersion, exploration, and trying hard to finish every single mission and objective the game has to offer. That's a particularly tall order, especially when hidden missions abound all over the vast expanse of the map. Many GTA 5 fans uncover new details every time they play through the game, but some are hidden quite well. Hunting down these secret missions involves following clues, having a keen eye, and venturing off the beaten path as if it's a lifestyle.

Most of these missions are far more bizarre, hilarious, and satirical than the regular fodder, which is why they should be sought out, if not for the rewards, then just for the sake of experience. While they may not add value to the main campaign, they do help build the world of Los Santos and its outskirts, from the beautiful and rare encounters in GTA 5 to the totally awkward. In the end, it is up to the player to explore and find these hidden missions.

GTA 5's True Ending Is The Best In The Series

Stop the therapist, quest: abandonment issues.

Most GTA 5 fans have enjoyed almost every aspect of the game, but a lot of them can't seem to get involved with the therapy sessions that players must go through as Michael. Due to that, it is reasonable to believe that not many have discovered this little interaction with the therapist Isiah Friedlander. Players have to actually visit the doctor enough times to trigger a scene where he says that he is leaving the city to go star in his own reality TV show.

Isiah even tells Michael he needs to find a new therapist and even implies that he is ready to share his patients' secrets under other names. The game then prompts the player to chase him down and eliminate him in case they don't want any of Michael's family secrets to get out. Players have the option to let him leave if they prefer. The entire sequence is quite hilarious and it's the kind of thing only die-hard fans seem to uncover.

If Isiah is let loose, he will tell Michael that both of them should forget the incident, to which Michael may reply with a death threat.

Call Up Patrick McCreary

Event: getaway driver.

One thing that stood out about this game is that it has some fun connections to the rest of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. That includes mentions and appearances of characters, with one notable cameo being Patrick McCreary from Grand Theft Auto 4 . In the previous game, he was a close friend of the protagonist Niko, and would make money with him committing crimes. Here, players stumble upon him during a heist and if they choose to be his getaway driver, they can contact him later for more work together.

In GTA 5 , Patrick McCreary is mainly used as a heist companion. He can be selected as one of the operatives in heists, both in the single-player mode and in GTA Online . Contrary to his role in the prequel, however, McCreary does not have much of an impact on the main story of the game set in Los Santos .

Be A Wildlife Photographer

Quest: wildlife photography challenge.

The hunting mini-game is one that pretty much everyone knows about. It is part of the Strangers and Freaks missions and when players complete a kill, they are tasked with sending a photo of the carcass as confirmation of what has been accomplished. However, it can go further. While working for the Paparazzo named Beverly Felton, the player can take part in Wildlife Photography Competitions .

Exclusive to Franklin in GTA 5 are then tasked with taking specific images of animals in certain locations. In total, players have to take pictures of 20 different animals – and, despite the name of the mission, Wildlife Photography Challenge, players can take pictures of pets in the city. After the player completes them all, they unlock the Kraken submersible , which can then be used to take to the seas.

Rob Armored Trucks

Random event.

For the most part, this is not a specific mission that is given to the player by someone in GTA 5 . Instead, it is an option that is always available to players if they dare. For the gamers who want to be all-in on the action, they can attempt to rob any armored truck they find. To do so they must have explosives as they are needed to blast open the doors in the back . Once that's taken care of, they must battle with the guards who are not easy to put down.

This is not an explicitly stated quest, but an objective that can be accomplished. The game does not tell players to start an assault on the armored trucks that roam Los Santos, but they are a great side objective that, once completed, can earn them some extra cash in the process . That is not to mention that the spontaneity of it is thrilling.

Re-Enact The Hangover

Random event: stag do running man.

Since GTA 5 came out way back in 2013, having a reference to a film from 2009 was not all that out of place, even if it feels odd nowadays. The popular comedy film The Hangover can be re-enacted in an unexpected way . At one point in the game, players can come across a man tied to a lamp pole while wearing only his underwear. As they investigate, they should find that it's the aftermath of his bachelor party. At this point, they are given the option to get him to his wedding in time.

The hungover groom, the outrageous conditions in which he is found, and the pressure of getting over the past night's events and getting ready for the big day are all fitting and match The Hangover , even if it is never mentioned by name. The groom's arrival makes for a memorable reaction.

Become A Cult Member

Questline: truth (strangers and freaks).

The Epsilon Program makes a comeback in GTA 5 through a series of unique side missions. In order to start them as Michael, players must go to the Epsilon website and take a quick survey. After that, a question mark will be placed on the map to start things off. Michael must endure grueling grunt work on behalf of the cult before shelling out a hefty sum to join up. For the final mission, Michael is then tasked to deliver a car containing over $2,000,000 in the trunk to another cult member.

Players can then choose whether to deliver the cash or keep it for themselves. For such a hot number, this is one mission worth playing. This is also a fairly funny questline to follow , as it mocks the cult-like activities in real-life Los Angeles and even gives them a sinister air, as if there are enforcer henchmen ready to take out anyone who deviates from the path.

Kidnap People For A Cannibal Group

Location: altruist camp.

One of the hidden missions in GTA 5 that fans are not likely to forget involves a cannibalistic cult on the far reaches of the map. To access it, the Nervous Ron mission must be completed as Trevor, which will then trigger a text message telling the player about a cult in Blain County. The next step is to visit the Altruist Camp at the very center of the Chiliad Mountain range.

After four successful " offerings, " all of which involve taking people to the location, the cult members will betray Trevor and attempt to kill him. To escape the camp, players must fight their way through the cultists, while picking up five briefcases that each contain $25,000 dollars. It is a lucrative, and downright disturbing hidden mission just waiting to be uncovered , even if its awkwardness has made it quite popular.

Collect Nuclear Waste In A Submarine

Achievement: waste management.

After completion of The Merryweather Heist, the option to buy the Sonar Collections Dock in GTA 5 becomes available to any of the three main characters. Along with the property comes a submersible that can be used to start the collection of 30 nuclear waste barrels spread around the shores of the map.

Despite a few similarities in their design, for this activity, players will use a free Minisub made available through the Sonar Collections Dock rather than the Kraken, should they have unlocked it beforehand.

Each collected barrel will earn the character $23,000, and a $250,000 bonus can be earned after collecting them all. They can be found using the Trackify app on the cell phone to make things easier. The submarine itself is fun to ride in, and it's an excuse to earn a hefty payday at the same time.

Solve The Murder Of Leonora Johnson

Quest: a startlet in vinewood.

After completing the Repossession mission early on in the game, all three of the characters can start collecting the 50-letter scraps that are placed around the map . Rockstar has included all 50 locations in the Checklist tab if players have a Social Club account. If they do not, they are encouraged to follow a guide to grab all letter scraps without getting lost or potentially missing one of them.

Once all 50 have been collected and Franklin reads the letter, players are directed to the killer, Peter Dreyfuss, who is at his home in Vinewood. During the cutscene, Franklin reveals to Peter that he knows he's the killer, which causes him to run . Players can allow him to escape, or kill him. There's no reward for this mission besides an Achievement, but for many completionists, that's enough.

Unlock A Space Vehicle

Quest: the final frontier.

GTA 5 has a large collection of unique and whacky vehicles, and the Space Docker is near the top. The only way to acquire this vehicle is by obtaining all 50 spaceship parts scattered across the map. Players can begin searching for these objects once the Far Out mission is initiated by Franklin. He claims to have been abducted by aliens and shows Franklin a spaceship part on his phone.

After all 50 parts have been collected, Franklin will automatically start The Final Frontier mission, where he meets Omega inside his laboratory, and shows him the Space Docker. The mission ends, and as a reward, Franklin gets to keep this far-out, great video game vehicle. They simply need to collect the space-themed Dune Buggy from Omega's garage . After that, the car is incorporated to every character's own garage.

While hunting in Red Dead Redemption 2 might be one game that made the activity fun, its spiritual roots lie in GTA 5. When playing as Trevor, players get a phone call from Cletus Ewing, who says to meet him at his lodge. After arriving at the cabin in the woods, Cletus gives Trevor a deer call and tells him they are going hunting. This mission serves more as a tutorial for anybody who wants to continue to hunt as a side activity within the game.

At one of the cliff faces in the northern part of the map near Raton Canyon in GTA 5 , between the hours of 7 PM and 8 PM, players can find the local police shooting at a familiar-looking convertible. It just so happens to contain two women in a very obvious nod to the 1991 Ridley Scott classic Thelma & Louise .

When the police start to advance up the hill, the scene plays out as it does in the final act of the feature film, with the convertible going straight off the cliff. However, it is possible to block the path of the car and save the two women from going over the edge , effectively changing their cinematic fates for a moment.

Solve A Mysterious Aquatic Death

To begin this detective-style mission, players must go to the Strangers and Freak icon at the Sonar Collections Dock, where Abigail awaits in GTA 5 . She tells Michael about her husband's recent death and asks him to collect all 30 submarine pieces to find out if it was an accident or not .

The pieces can be found by any of the three characters, but they can only be brought to Abigail by Michael. Michael heads towards the Park Square in Downtown Los Santos to meet with Barry, a legal marijuana advocate. After convincing Michael to take up with him, the world suddenly shifts into a paranoid nightmare for the player .

Strange alien creatures spawn randomly at different angles and proceed to attack. Michael does have decent equipment in the form of a minigun with unlimited ammo, turning it into a nod to the Serious Sam franchise for a brief moment in time. If Michael can defeat the incoming waves, he'll come down off his high and avoid a trip to the psych ward.

Enforce The Border As A Vigilante

Quest: the civil border patrol.

The Civil Border Patrol mission begins by traveling out to the Grand Senora Desert to meet with Josef and Joe. After their initial meeting, the pair asks Trevor to join their vigilante crusade to protect the border in the worst way possible. Trevor happily agrees to help.

The player then joins the two as they head to the Yellow Jacket Inn, where they believe they'll find their next catch. After a thorough inspection of the properties yields no results, Trevor sees two men take their leave in a hot rod, and the player then has to chase them down and subdue them using a stun gun in Grand Theft Auto 5 .

Bon Voyage is a Superyacht Life mission in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Summer Special update, released on August 11, 2020 . It is given to players by Brendan Darcy , the captain of the player's Galaxy Super Yacht , and is available from 1 to 4 players.

Time is frozen at 20:40 and the weather will always be a heavy thunderstorm.

Immediately after starting the mission, the player will be faced with extremely stormy conditions and large ocean waves, and Brendan will exclaim that the yacht's engine and generators have all gone down. The power onboard will go out and the helicopter will explode as a wave of enemies arrive. The yacht's anti-aircraft systems have gone down too, so the player is the only line of defense for the yacht.

Enemies will arrive in multiple forms of transport, with some already onboard on both ends, some arriving in Dinghies from the water, and some rappelling down from Buzzards . Gunners in the Buzzards will also fire miniguns at the player. There are three total waves of enemies, with Brendan interjecting with dialogue in between each. The player cannot enter the interior of the yacht for the duration of the job, but a Health pack and Body Armor pickups will be available on the top deck outside the entry to the bridge. These re-spawn frequently.

After the second wave, Brendan will realize that these attackers are in fact the Kkangpae , the gang that had initially kidnapped him and who he and the player had been having ongoing trouble with. Brendan also swears that after this is done, they will take of this issue once and for all. During the third wave, Brendan will get the power on the yacht back online, including the air defenses to take care of any remaining Buzzards, and he will request that the player take care of the remaining enemies on foot and in boats, after which the mission is complete.
