As aerodynamic as a bullet with an ultra-sharp bow entry, a floating hard-top, structural flares, an extended foredeck and a swept-back cockpit give this yacht an undeniably sporty look. Yet sedate and comfortable living spaces across its two decks also provide plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy life at sea. Still a popular choice on the used market, this yacht will outperform many younger yachts thanks to its rugged hull and powerful engines, both optimized for coastal saltwater cruising.

Take advantage of the lengthy foredeck and install a set of two integrated sunpads out here so that the sunworshippers in your life can soak up the rays to their heart’s content. Those who enjoy getting wet, meanwhile, will be found to stern, where a fixed bathing platform with a swim ladder and a sports locker is robust enough to host a dinghy or a group of energetic kids. A transom door leads into a smart cockpit that sits under a roof with space-age curves and rounded glazing. A U-shaped sofa to port surrounds a high-gloss timber dining table, while to starboard there is a wet-bar station with an optional grill, an ice-chipper, a fridge and a sink. A set of stereo speakers have been built into the cockpit walls to allow you to control the vibe, while up-front there is an L-shaped sofa and a single piloting seat facing the helm station. This modern, ergonomic dashboard features a Raymarine E120 or Simrad multifunction display screen, autopilot, Volvo engine feedback, Side Power thruster controls, a Plastimo compass, hand-held VHF radio and a wood-lined steering wheel.

A spacious below-decks lined in cherrywood with an authentic hardwood sole is accessed via a companionway door, and down here you will find an L-shaped sofa in beige upholstery surrounding a bespoke coffee table. Across from this there is an open galley with granite-effect Corian countertops, a Princess two-zone hob, a stainless-steel sink, an integrated coffeemaker, a Sharp combination microwave oven and plenty of storage. A bulkhead separates the lower-salon from the VIP stateroom located up by the bow, where a skylight, oval portholes, a double bed and hanging lockers provide a home-from-home feel. A master stateroom to aft, meanwhile, comes with a double-width closet, a queen-sized island bed and access to a semi-open en-suite with a ceramic sink, a mirrored medicine cabinet and an enclosed shower stall. There is room for one more head on this level with an open shower fixture.

A pair of 435HP Volvo D6 diesel engines, or a twin-seat of 480HP Volvo TAMD75P inboards will push this yacht to top speeds of up to 34 knots, with cruising speeds in the mid-20s. At an economy cruise of 19 knots, you will burn around 26 gallons per hour, not bad for a yacht with a 400-gallon fuel tank.
