60m Classic is a custom sailing yacht due to launch in 2020 by Perini Navi, in Italy.

Credited with a combination of technical brilliance and first class design, Perini Navi has always been in a class of its own. In 1982, unable to find a yacht suited to his personal concepts and ideas, Fabio Perini designed and built the first prototype of what would prove to be the most successful series of large sailing yachts in the world.

This striking 60m/196ft LUXURY SUPERYACHT was built by CMN in 2009 and features the naval architecture of the shipyard. Winch Design is responsible for the exterior and interior styling of this steel-hulled displacement motor yacht, which accommodates up to 12 charter guests across seven en-suite cabins and a relaxed, pleasurable and fun holiday is ensured thanks to a crew of 15 highly-skilled members.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF 60M CMN LUXURY SUPERYACHT: ~Approved RYA Water Sports Centre ~Master suite with private forward lounge ~Large projector screen in the sky lounge ~Abundance of sunbathing spots ~ Gym convertible to the seventh cabin ~Excellent variety of water toys for all ages and fitness levels

The lower deck swim platform has a ladder for easy access in and out of the water, and two staircases connect up to the main deck aft where guests can dry off in the sunshine while enjoying a meal on the C-shaped sofa surrounding two large raised tables. The main deck bow is used for storing the tenders, which are launched and retrieved using a Davit crane.

The bridge deck aft is laid out with a casual aft-facing lounge where a broad sun-exposed sofa and two armchairs around drinks tables look out over the stern. The outer deck wraps around to connect to the foredeck, where there is a plush sofa in front of the helm station where a couple of guests can enjoy the forward views away from the main group.

On the sundeck, the aft section is covered in one enormous sun pad and a forward-facing curving seat creates a laid-back environment for outdoor living and conversation over drinks. A long, alfresco dining table to seat 12 is placed under the shade along with a wet bar and smaller seating area, while forward there is a massive Jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads for guests to marvel at uninterrupted views of the landscape.

The lower deck stern contains the tender garage and water toys storage, with the gym and engine room placed in front. Amidships is the guest accommodation, consisting of two double cabins and two double cabins convertible to twins, all with en-suite facilities. The forward area holds the crew accommodation, mess and laundry facilities.

The full-beam Master suite on the main deck forward is a private getaway, offering an opulent interior in charcoal grey and fuchsia. The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe, and there is a large office behind and a forward observation lounge.

Aft of the main foyer is the open-plan lounge, which also contains a forward formal dining area to seat up to 12 guests in African-inspired modern surroundings. Broad windows span the port and starboard sides to light the main salon and provide excellent views of the location. The main seating area places three soft sofas around a circular coffee table and two armchairs, while the aft section beside the sliding doors there is a games table and a bar.

60M LUXURY SUPERYACHT Specifications

Behind the bridge deck helm station, there is a port-side VIP stateroom with a side-balcony and an en-suite bathroom. The large sky lounge has a C-shaped sofa on the port side and a bench opposite, within which is stored a massive projector screen for film nights. Drinks tables and armchairs are placed forward and aft, and before the curved aft sliding doors is a circular dining table that can be opened up to the elements.

2 x Caterpillar 3516B 16V engines provide a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a top speed of 16 knots.

Motor yacht ST. DAVID is a custom 60m superyacht designed by Andrew Winch and launched by the Benetti Shipyard. ST. DAVID was awarded ‘Best Charter Yacht’ by the Robb Report, and was recently refitted in 2019 to create the ultimate contemporary charter experience.

Luxury yacht ST. DAVID has six staterooms, including an owner’s master suite, a full-beam VIP stateroom, and four spacious double rooms that can be converted into twin rooms if required. The owner’s master suite is split over two levels, with a raised bedroom for maximum privacy, a stunning staircase, a lounge area, an ensuite, and panoramic views.

Charter yacht ST. DAVID is the star of Seasons 10 & 11 of the popular US TV Series “Below Deck”.

The interior living spaces on motor yacht ST. DAVID are finished to the highest standards, with mosaic floors, sculptured tables, and detailed marquetry. The Italian Riviera-style creates a lavish atmosphere on board, featuring a floating staircase that spans three decks and is topped by a skylight.

Outside, the ST. DAVID yacht boasts an oversized jacuzzi pool, refitted in 2019 with new pumps and jets. There is also a fabulous circular dining table for twelve guests and an adjacent bar on the upper deck, while the deck below offers an indoor-outdoor circular table, well-protected in case of a crosswind.

The Master Suite is located on the main deck of the yacht and is a magnificent full-beam Owner’s suite that is divided into 2 levels. The Guest cabins on Motor Yacht ST. Designers Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento have created a world of refinement in this 60-footer ocean-cruising yacht.

With a hull length of almost 18 meters, the Oceanis Yacht 60 has been designed with a remarkable and sophisticated silhouette that preserves its elegant design and excellent marine qualities.

OPTIMUM DESIGN FOR SMOOTH SAILING

The new cockpit layout provides a sense of ease and security: access to the foredeck is made simple via deep side decks.

The two helm stations have been optimized so that all maneuver can be carried out without leaving the helm. Systems such as  Ship Control  and  Seanapps  provide control of all on-board systems and allow for easy maintenance.

The bimini is available in 2 configurations. The rigid version has a central section that can slide forward to adjust the amount of cover in the cockpit. The crew will always be able to find the best compromise between protection and ventilation.

The generous dinghy garage holds a 2.8 m jet-propelled tender. This tender is operated by an electric winch with a double wire system and guiding rollers to make it effortless to launch and raise.

STYLISH INTERIOR SPACE FOR SHARING IN GOOD COMPANY

The galley, positioned in the centre of the boat, extends across the entire width: on the port side, storage and refrigeration; on the starboard side, the sink, the oven and the dishwasher. There is substantial storage space and an innovative worktop layout.

The large salon offers seating for six people around the table and faces the sofa in the relaxing area. The curved chart table allows the navigator to participate in all the discussions on board. 

Available in a 3-cabin version with 3 heads, the Oceanis Yacht 60 comes with two different finishes: a standard walnut or optional light oak. Many molded wood features blend harmoniously with large lacquered white surfaces and are matched with exclusive upholstery. Together they create a distinctly stylish atmosphere.

The luxurious and relaxing owner's cabin offers privacy and a stunning view of the sea. The bed is tucked away on the starboard side and only visible once you've passed the private ensuite, which is equipped with ample storage space.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
