VIDEO OF EMINENCE Eminence superyacht's Reymond Langton Designed interior boast a fully enclosed elevator connecting her four lower decks. Her main deck offers great space for gatherings and entertainment in style and luxury. There are three areas on the yacht suitable for socializing. The first one is forward, situated between two circular glass enclosures. There is a second circular sofa offering great views. The third area is below decks, accessible with the elevator. This area contains a shower situated next to the pool. The bridge deck offers once again great space for her guest as well as wonderful setting for al-fresco dining. The wheel-house deck also features an excellent design with a Schottel SPJ Azimuth Stern Thruster, an emergency electrical generator able to propel the ship at 4 knots for a substantial distance. Sky lounge of the A&R yacht Eminence features a full-service bar and a gaming area with deep-cushioned easy chairs and comfortable couches providing plenty of seating for those wishing to enjoy a game of cards or chess, or simply wanting to unwind. The main lounge boasts large and comfortable cushioned sofas and beautiful coffee tables. The colors suggest almost a gentleman's club feel. There is also a large cinema where guests relax on a semi-circular sofa. Eminence's upper deck main dining room seats 14. From here her guests can enjoy 270° of spectacular views thanks to floor-to-ceiling clear glass windows. Motor Yacht Eminence has a large widescreen cinema with large luxurious seating. For those who need to keep in contact, there is a well-equipped study/office with wireless/wired connection as well as a shower and settee that can be opened to form a full-sized bed. There is also a sauna and a gym, which can be found below, forward, next to the crew quarters. Superyacht Eminence has 10 large crew cabins with private en-suite bathrooms. • If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

EVERETT, Wash. — It’s not clear whether Russian oligarch Suleiman Kerimov had plans to visit Puget Sound this spring — the French Riviera is more the style of the U.S.-sanctioned mining and energy multibillionaire.

But on April 29, the Amadea, a 348-foot, $300 million-plus superyacht said to be owned by Kerimov, arrived in the Port of Everett to have some work done at a local shipyard.

A sleek, white shark of a ship with a knifelike bow, raked profile and quarters for 16 guests and 36 crew, Amadea swanned past Everett’s industrial waterfront with a tug escort and all the made-for-TV glamour of an international celebrity fugitive. Kerimov, of course, was not on board.

How deep is San Diego Harbor?

To enter San Diego Harbor, ships must travel north, for four miles, through the channel, from Point Loma at the northern end of the Silver Strand, then turn east for several miles, and, finally, south to access the central and southern harbor areas. The Municipal Yacht Basin and Commercial Fish Harbor near Shelter Island are closest to the harbor entrance. The Approach and Entrance channel depth is -55 feet and Main channel depths are -47 feet from the entrance to the Turning Basin.

The harbor serves the San Diego metropolitan area and is a major shipping point for agricultural goods from southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Approximately 3.3 million metric tons of cargo passed through the port in fiscal year 2006-2007. The U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet is also headquartered in San Diego Bay and several Nimitz-class aircraft carriers are homeported there. Recreational use of the harbor is significant. There are at least 4,000 boat slips in use for privately owned recreational craft, and a high demand for additional slips. The commercial sport-fishing fleet numbers about 50 boats and carries approximately 100,000 persons per year. Also, the harbor is the center of the west coast commercial tuna fishing industry, harboring one of the largest tuna-fishing fleets in the world.

Major harbor facilities are concentrated on the east side of the central harbor, fronting U.S. Highway 101 and a major north-south railway. A tourist pier area at the north end of the harbor adjoins the naval anchorage, which extends south to the Tenth Avenue Terminal, a bulk-loading area (primarily grain).

The Cloudia is a beautifully restored, rare example of a classic Norwegian double ended ketch. Inspired by the original designs of famed naval architect Colin Archer (1832-1921), from Larvik, Norway, the Cloudia is a Listerskøyte. The top-sail ketch is notable for durability and safety. Archer’s shipyard designed and constructed the famed  Fram,  which participated in a number of expeditions to the North Pole and later supported Roald Amundsen’s historic first expedition to the South Pole.

Archer’s designs became popular for commercial use and in the pleasure sailing market during the 20th Century, and remain so to this day. 

Welcome to SailCloudia

The Cloudia is rigged as a topsail ketch in the British or American style, which means there are 2 two-piece masts which allow the Cloudia to carry more sail than a traditional Norwegian rig with shorter single masts. The Cloudia’s main mast is 85 feet high including the top-jack.

Many different woods were used to craft the ship, including Norwegian white oak, sapele hardwood, Douglas fir, Alaskan yellow cedar, and Ipe Brazilian hardwood. 

The pilot house is fully equipped with modern maritime electronics, including state of the art radar and navigation systems.

The entire experience was top notch. Boat has a great set up with a large indoors area with multiple tables and a bar and area to dance. There is a large outside area on top of the boat with bar tables and tons of space to dance and enjoy the outside. The captain did a great job of touring the bay with a real close flyby of under the Midway. Staff was very helpful and took care of everything. We also purchased one of their charcuterie boards and it was pretty amazing. Highly recommend if you're looking for a large party on the water!

This was the one of the best decisions I made for my wedding weekend! The Legacy Cruise team and Sam really made us all feel at home on the yacht and were very accommodating to our whole party. They were attentive to all of our guests and the boat was such a fancy venue for our reception dinner. Our guests who traveled out of town were treated to such an unforgettable night cruising around the San Diego Harbor and dancing under the Coronado bridge! The Legacy team does a great job at providing a wonderful private boating experience. They are super professional, extremely friendly, and great at processing any requests that you may have. Time out on the water is great, seeing a bunch of local landmarks. The layout of the boat is perfect, with 2 bathrooms, a bar, tons of seating inside on the first floor and lots of room for dancing on the top floor. Would highly recommend booking Sam, Fred and team if you want a fun experience for any sized group.

The Italian coast guard said Thursday the body of British tech magnate Mike Lynch is among those recovered off the coast of Sicily from the wreckage of a superyacht whose builders had called unsinkable.

One woman remains missing. She has not been identified, but Hannah Lynch, Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, is reportedly unaccounted for. The family had been celebrating his recent acquittal on fraud charges with the people who defended him at trial in the United States.

Five others were recovered by rescue crews following Monday's tragedy.

The Bayesian, a 56-meter (184-foot) British-flagged yacht, went down in a storm early Monday as it was moored about a kilometer (half a mile) offshore. Civil protection officials said they believe the ship was struck by a tornado over the water, known as a waterspout, and sank quickly.

The chief executive of The Italian Sea Group, which owns the Bayesian's manufacturer, said superyachts like these are “the safest in the most absolute sense.”

“First of all, because they have very little surface compared to a yacht facing into the wind,” CEO Giovanni Costantino told Sky News on Wednesday. "Second, with the structure, the drift keel, they become unsinkable bodies.”

Investigators are now looking at why the Bayesian, built in 2008 by Italian shipyard Perini Navi, sank while a nearby sailboat remained largely unscathed. Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived by escaping in a lifeboat, including a mother who reported holding her 1-year-old baby over the waves to save her. They were rescued by the sailboat Sir Robert Baden Powell.

The sailboat's captain, Karsten Borner, said his craft sustained minimal damage — the frame of a sun awning broke — even with winds that he estimated had reached 12 on the Beaufort wind scale, which is the highest hurricane-strength force on the scale.

He said he had remained anchored with his engines running to try to maintain the ship’s position as the forecast storm rolled in.

“Another possibility is to heave anchor before the storm and to run downwind at open sea,” Borner said in a text message. But he said that might not have been possible for the Bayesian, given its 75-meter (246-foot) tall mast.

“If there was a stability problem, caused by the extremely tall mast, it would not have been better at open sea,” he said.

Yachts like the Bayesian are required to have watertight compartments that are specifically designed to prevent a rapid, catastrophic sinking even when some parts fill with water.

Lynch is the only person confirmed dead; the other bodies have not been formally identified.

Besides Hannah Lynch, those missing are Christopher Morvillo, one of Lynch’s U.S. lawyers, and his wife, Neda; Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley’s London-based investment banking subsidiary, and his wife, Judy; and Recaldo Thomas, the superyacht’s chef.

Divers have struggled to find the bodies in the yacht’s hull on the seabed 50 meters (164 feet) underwater.

“We would need a crystal ball to know when we'll be able to find the next body," said Luca Cari, spokesperson for the fire rescue service.

“It's very difficult to move inside the wreckage. Moving just one meter can take up to 24 hours,” Cari said.
