CYCSA is a great place for a meal. The location is beautiful on the marina, very peaceful and relaxing and the menu is the perfect size. The food is very reasonably priced and always good and the staff are great, most particularly Tom. Without him... I don't know that I would go there. Maybe I might, but I wouldn't enjoy it as much, he's a rare gem. More

The experience was five star starting from the friendly greeting by Chloe on the phone when we inquired about a suitable outdoor table for lunch with dogs, through to the wonderful and friendly and caring service, the quality of the seafood was incredible, the menu... was really interesting, simply outstanding. The view was incredible. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. More

A group of disabled tenpin bowlers had a birthday celebration dinner at CYCSA. Orlando was wonderful in helping us organise this evening. We had our own room, food was so tasty and the whole atmosphere was wonderful. Will visit again when in SA.

Let's start with the only positive - the setting is lovely. If you like grease this is the restaurant for you! I had the battered prawns and my husband the battered fish - both were very greasy and overcooked. The fries were soggy and cold.... Then there is the issue of the service. You are treated differently depending on whether you are or are not a member of the Club. Our waitress was surly and unfriendly until she learned we were members of the CYCSA. I would highly recommend setting sail for another restaurant. More

Where can you dine with million dollar marina views next to a bloke without a shirt on wearing wet board shorts & no shoes on his unpedicured feet??? Right here! Oh, let’s not forget to mention the restaurant website has a strict dress code and... that staff who served him at the counter asked no questions. What a joke! You can’t charge $38 for fish & chips & be expected to have to eat it next to that sad character! Food: average & overpriced. Service: slow & lacking attention to detail. Atmosphere: barefooted, bare chested yobbos welcome! More

What a really lovely spot this is with lots of indoor and outdoor seating looking out over the harbour. We came here for lunch during a busy time and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had calamari and bruschetta and the food was delicious.... The views of the harbour are beautiful. We would love to come back More

What a hidden gem. Sharing a 70th birthday we were pleasantly surprised. the atmosphere was very good. The variety of dishes and food in general was very good. the prices were reasonable although the wine was expensive. We would love to go again

Years ago my brother told me not to expect both an interesting venue AND excellent or better than average food. food. This proved to be true here. Good food but mostly average food. OK just not remarkable food.

Discovered this hidden gem to meet families for Father's Day. What a great place. We had a super round table for 6/8 at the window overlooking the marina. We had chosen set menu lunch of 3 courses. Tasting plate entree consisting of a turkey terrine... wrapped in pancetta, avocado mousse with 2 prawns atop and a blini with smoked salmon and red onion with a dollop of yoghurt cream. Absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. Off to a good start. Main course was a choice of barramundi, chicken or scotch fillet steak. All of us chose different dishes and they were again all superbly presented and so tasty - all served in various ways and with beautifully cooked vegetables. Dessert was again a tasting plate consisting of a mini creme brulee, a scoop of coconut icecream and a wedge of chocolate brownie. We were all impressed and the attention from entry to table and the attention by the wait staff, particularly Thomas was outstanding. It was a very busy restaurant and everything seemed to run smoothly. A great venue, deliciously cooked and presented food and a super day had by all. Just a pity it is an hour away from where we live - however well worth the effort. More

We had a group of almost 30 having an official get-together for the first time and we had a separate dining area with 3 very large round tables and all very well dressed for the occasion. We had our speeches and wished we could have... closed the doors for some peace & quiet from the other patrons. Ordering seemed to go reasonably well except for a computer/console glitch and by table so we didn't overwhelm the bar. This is where the fun started; as it turned out the table that ordered last started receiving their orders first and them mass confusion as meals were coming out that were not ordered and being returned. Moving on, about 75% of our meals eventually came out and there were those that were just not in sight; maybe they had to go and catch my wife's kingfish first? Eventually, our Director had to go and sort out the problem and then the meals started coming again but only when most of us had finished ours. I must say though that I thought my crab-pasta was very delicious but I felt sorry for those that had the lamb-roast; it just looked like a really bad cut of meat. And why have those super large giant plates for those that ordered a steak; it looked really out of place. There was no salad-bar to supplement those 'tiny' mains and you had to purchase bread if you wanted it; surely you can afford a bread-roll and a portion of butter. Overall, generally I felt let down by the venue; there is definitely room for improvement. More

Had dinner with a friend. Neither are members but felt welcome. The views on a still nights were fantastic. The service was friendly. The time from order to serve was a little slower but not late. The menu had some interesting items and the food... was quite good. Value for money and a reasonable selection of wines and beer. An enjoyable evening. More

I recently dinned ( February 2019) at Mariners restaurant for dinner (2 couples). The outlook onto the the marinas and boats was sensational. We did not book ( walk-in) however we were advised that we should book ahead in future ( can see why). We... sat a a table near the front windows that were open. The menu was really interesting and offered lots of choices. The dishes we tried were; The steak - perfectly cooked as ordered ( rare) Cesar salad ( friend reported it as one of the best ever) One couple shared the seafood platter as a main again this was sensational, perfectly cooked and a very generous serve. The staff were extremely helpful and knew their products well. Good wine list Reasonable pricing It also has facilities for large functions and conferences - what a perfect location. Highly recommended Will return again More

Conditions of entry

Please note that under the Registered Clubs Act, visitors who are not Members of CYCA and who reside within a 5 kilometre radius of the Club may not enter the Club unless they are:

• a guest of a Member (and remain in their company); or
• a member of another NSW registered club that is a yacht club; or
• a member of any other NSW registered club (or a club established interstate that is licensed or permitted to serve liquor and have gaming machines) that is at the CYCA at the invitation of CYCA or a Full Member of CYCA to participate in a sailing event run by CYCA.

Visitors will be required to present a current photo ID showing their current residential address when checking in at Reception.

Whether you’re catching up with fellow sailors after a day on the water or just enjoying the waterside location with friends, the CYCA is the place to be! Dining at the CYCA brings together award-winning cuisine and a relaxed outdoor vibe.

Enjoy drinks by the water, order breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack at the bistro and soak in the atmosphere on the waterfront seating.

Sydney Hobart Bar and deck

The Sydney Hobart Bar has a sophisticated fibreglass boat-shaped bar front, polished concrete flooring and a contemporary lighting plan. At the same time also being practical with a bar featuring 32 taps across two stations with carbon-fibre beer fonts.

There are numerous meal options for all visitors and occasions.

The elegant furniture on both the upper covered and lower open decks allows for the perfect place to meet after a Harbour twilight or offshore race for a cold beer or bottle of wine, as the sun sets over the CYCA.

Attire is always casual.

Coasters Retreat

Coasters Retreat on the upper level of the CYCA is an area exclusive to members and their guests with views over the marina and Rushcutters Bay towards the Sydney skyline.

The history of the club is ever-present with half-models of Sydney Hobart winning yachts lining the walls and plaques acknowledging boats and members for their years of service and sailing achievements. With a lounge area and double-sided fireplace adjoining the archives nook stories and traditions are readily available.

The Coasters Retreat Bar features a marble fronted bar and striking brass beer fonts. With sliding doors, balcony access and elegant furniture from Janus et Cie there is no better place to share stories and enjoy the Club.
