The refit work took two years but was clearly worth it when we look at the result displayed in this second season of the Australian Spin off.

Although the Northern Sun is built by the Japanese Narasaki shipyard, it surely is a boat that fits Australian waters quite well and could delight anyone looking to explore the most rugged locations in style, whether they are polar or tropical.

Northern Sun is available for charter from $161,700 / week . Her latest asking price was $15,000,000 .

Lounge on board the "Honor" luxury yacht in April 2012

How about some dreamy, aspirational travel news? Imagine: You can dine on whatever you desire, served by your private chef; whisk down a slide off a grand yacht into a warm sea; picnic on a private beach served by a doting staff; party hard in a hot tub on a deck under the stars — just like lucky guests on Below Deck, the binge-worthy TV show on Bravo and Peacock.

The series chronicles the lives of crew members who live and work aboard luxury super yachts during the charter season, serving (over-serving?) privileged new guests each episode.

I’m a super fan, and have dreamed of what it must be like to live huge on the water. Now Tropicalboat Luxury Yacht Charters & Rentals has revealed how much it would cost to either charter or buy any of the yachts featured on Below Deck , including this newest season.

“ Below Deck has brought much attention to the yachting industry over the years, highlighting the luxury lifestyles and holidays that those who charter yachts enjoy,” said Kate Kalamaga, owner of Tropicalboat.

“A truly luxurious yacht holiday is made possible at the earliest stages of curation by charter brokers, with every detail down to the number of guests per cabin on board, the number of guests-to-crew ratios and of, course, the recreational features and interiors making the difference.”

It’s possible to live the life — for a huge price. Dream on. Read on.

It’s just been announced that season 11 of Below Deck is due to set sail on February 5, 2024, and St David is the yacht of choice again — the biggest, most luxurious and most expensive ever on Below Deck. S eason 10’s and now 11’s St David costs $325,000 to charter for a week, excluding expenses (or $23,646,000 to purchase!).

Best High-Yield Savings Accounts Of 2024

Best 5% interest savings accounts of 2024.

Guests usually tip the crew anywhere between 10 to 15 percent of the charter rate. So, expect to add a maximum cost of $48,750 to the weekly charter rate of St David.

The running costs of a yacht will add to your initial investment with operating costs estimated to be 20 percent or more of the initial value. St David would incur its owner a cost of at least $4,729,000 annually to run.

This luxury super yacht is 196 feet hosting 12 guests in its six guest cabins, who can expect to enjoy first-class service from a total of 14 crew members. It features include an indoor jacuzzi, a luxury spa, an outdoor deck jacuzzi, a gym and a dance floor, alongside a Rolls Royce Limo Tender for shore trips and a multitude of recreational water toys and activities. Guests can go fishing and scuba diving or take to the waters skiing, wakeboarding, or riding jet skis.

Coming in as the second most expensive superyacht on Below Deck is My Seanna, now Starship, featured on the show’s sixth, eighth and ninth seasons.

This 185-foot luxury yacht boasts 22-carat gold brushed fittings. A finalist in The World Superyacht Awards 2012, it features two jacuzzies, a beach club, a helipad, a movie theatre and a sundeck sauna and gym. Accents of real gold and royal blue are set throughout the yacht’s interior.

The yacht hosts 12 guests in six cabins, with 11 crew members to tend to their every need. For a week on Starship, it would cost $275,000, excluding expenses, or $22,900,000 to purchase. Expect to pay approximately £41,250 in crew tips or incur around $4,580,000 in annual running costs as the owner.

The least expensive yacht to charter (a relative bargain!) is season five’s Valor, now BG, costing $146,500 per week. BG hosts 12 guests in its six cabins with a dedicated crew of 10 members. Fans will remember how season 10’s shocking discovery of concealed unregistered drugs on board resulted in the immediate dismissal of a crew member.

BG will set you back $16,000,000 to buy and is the second smallest yacht to feature on the show, measuring 153.87 feet.

Interestingly, Ohana (real name Star Diamond) is the least expensive yacht to buy, but not the smallest nor cheapest to charter, costing $160,000 per week. The yacht sleeps 10 guests in 5 staterooms, and has a crew of eight, which might explain the higher charter rate, despite its lower sale price.

Below Deck Season 11's Captain Kerry Reveals If He'll Ever Return To Below Deck Adventure

  • Captain Kerry Titheradge is currently busy in Below Deck season 11 but would love to continue on Below Deck Adventure.
  • Kerry's leadership style and hands-on approach to handling issues on board the yacht have been praised.
  • Kerry has proven to be very capable as the new Below Deck captain and has effectively handled crew and guest situations on board.

Below Deck star Captain Kerry Titheradge reacted to a fan's question about his future on Below Deck Adventure . Below Deck launched in 2013, with Captain Lee Rosbach at the helm of a yacht named Honor . Bravo created four spin-offs over the years, including Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Adventure . The latter spin-off introduced Kerry as the newest captain. After Captain Lee left after 10 years , Kerry took over his role during Below Deck season 11 .

Captain Kerry is a "little busy" on Below Deck right now, but he would love to return to Below Deck Adventure .

There's only been one season of Below Deck Adventure so far. With Kerry moving over to the original Below Deck , there's been speculation over who will helm the spin-off if Below Deck Adventure season 2 is renewed, and Kerry finally gave a bit of insight into what the future might hold for him .

Twitter user @SophrosyneVibes asked Captain Kerry if he'll star on both Below Deck and Below Deck Adventure going forward. Kerry responded to the fan by noting he's " a little busy " with the original Below Deck series at the moment. However, if he's given the opportunity, he would love to return to Below Deck Adventure because he wants to " continue the ADVENCHAA!! "

Captain Kerry's Below Deck Leadership Explained

Kerry titheradge has been the perfect below deck season 11 captain.

The social media user replied to say that they are really enjoying Kerry on Below Deck because he's fantastic as a captain and takes a hands-on approach to dealing with issues on board the yacht. Kerry then reacted with the folded hands emoji to indicate his appreciation of the compliment. The Below Deck star is great at responding to fans on social media. After the most recent episode of Below Deck season 11 saw a charter guest request a bell, @PortPalsPodcast sent Kerry a screenshot of a wireless doorbell, and Kerry responded that he'll " get right on that ," with a winking face emoji.

There were big shoes to fill when Captain Lee left Below Deck . Fortunately, Bravo chose to bring Kerry over from Below Deck Adventure . He's proven extremely capable of leading the crew and handling various issues as they come up. In a recent Below Deck episode, he did the right thing by firing Jared Woodin. In the same episode, he was faced with stew Cat Baugh going through a mental health crisis. He handled the situation perfectly and worked diligently to get Cat home as fast as possible. Kerry's leadership style is very much needed on Below Deck .

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Each Below Deck captain has their own style they bring to the yacht. Captain Lee was grumpy and a curmudgeon, but he still commanded respect in a very admirable way; he was a great captain to have when Below Deck launched. Kerry, on the other hand, is far more approachable in the way he interacts with his crew without losing their respect or having them question his leadership. It would be great if he could star on both Below Deck and Below Deck Adventure , but if that doesn't happen, then at least he's on one show instead of none at all.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.

Below Deck Season 11's Captain Kerry Reveals If He'll Ever Return To Below Deck Adventure

Screen Rant

Below deck season 11's crew is one of the best (they're rejuvenating the show).

The Below Deck season 11 crew went through a major shift ahead of the season, but they're now the best part of the current season.

  • New crew on Below Deck season 11 brings fresh tension and drama, captivating viewers and keeping the show exciting.
  • Captain Kerry brings a major upgrade to the St. David compared to previous seasons, allowing for a new environment for crew members.
  • Crew members like Cat and Jared faced struggles early on, but the team came together well to handle challenges and work smoothly.

Below Deck season 11’s crew has changed entirely from the last season’s, which has created new tension and drama while keeping the show fresh . Throughout Below Deck season 10, viewers were concerned with how the crew navigated throughout the charter season. In dealing with the absence of Captain Lee Rosbach, which brought Below Deck Mediterranean ’s Captain Sandy Yawn to take over, viewers struggled to stay interested in the happenings aboard the superyacht. The yachties aboard the St. David on Below Deck season 10 may have pushed the viewers away from the series, but the newest group won them back.

After years of Captain Lee at the helm, welcoming Captain Kerry Titheradge to the ship has been a major upgrade for the St. David. While Captain Lee was a beloved part of Below Deck, his time aboard the St. David was spotty at times, creating tension between his crew members in a way that made it difficult for them to do their jobs appropriately. The Below Deck season 11 Captain and crew have created an environment where the crew members can make mistakes and own up to them, which extends the series to a whole new type of drama.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Below deck season 11 has a new captain & crew.

Captain Kerry isn’t the only new addition to Below Deck season 11, many of the crew members are first-timers in the Below Deck franchise. With the exception of Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Bosun Ben Willoughby , the entirety of the crew is comprised of first-time members aboard the St. David. The exterior crew, which includes Deckhand Kyle Stillie, Deckhand Marie “Sunny” Marquis, and new Deckhand Dylan Pierre De Villiers along with Ben has been able to avoid drama as they’ve moved through helping Captain Kerry guide the vessel and the charter guests with activities off of the illustrious superyacht.

The interior crew has been somewhat more of an issue throughout Below Deck season 11, but is shaping up to be one of the most interesting mixes of stews the series has ever seen. Led by Fraser, Second Stew Xandi Olivier, Third Stew Barbie Pascual, and former Fourth Stew Cat Baugh have had their work cut out for them. While Xandi and Barbie have excelled throughout the season , Cat had some issues early on and had to deal with them off the superyacht. Despite dealing with some problems in their working relationships, the interior crew has proven to be thorough.

Jared Woodin & Cat Baugh Struggled Early In The Season

Although the crew has been great overall, Cat and former Bosun Jared Woodin have had a difficult time with their work on the St. David. Cat, who struggled with control issues, wound up having to leave the St. David to attend to her mental health and personal issues at home. Jared, who boarded the St. David confident he could handle work as a Bosun, made several mistakes as he worked through his first charters. After making too many dangerous mistakes, J ared had to come to grips with the fact that his head wasn’t in the work . He ultimately was fired.

Without Cat & Jared, The Crew Has Worked Well Together

Cat and Jared left the St. David around the same time, and while being short-staffed wasn’t easy for the crew, they worked well together to make sure things were going smoothly. Captain Kerry helped wherever he could, taking the initiative to ensure that his crew knew he was with them as much as possible. For the Below Deck team, understanding that they had the Captain on their side was key, and they were able to work through their struggles as they got through a difficult charter. Working as smoothly as they could, the Below Deck crew did a great job.

The St. David Crew's Headed For Drama, But They Can Handle It

While things look like they’re heating up for the St. David’s crew moving into the rest of the Below Deck season , they’ve been a strong unit since the start of the season. With Xandi and Fraser seemingly ganging up on Barbie while Ben’s job as Bosun becomes more difficult, the drama will be ramping up on Below Deck season 11. As showmances change and charter guests get more demanding, the team is going to be thrown all-new curves as the season continues. Thankfully, the crew seems prepared to take on anything that comes their way, even Below Deck level drama.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo, then streams the following day on Peacock.

Below Deck is a popular reality TV franchise that focuses on a group of crew members as they work on luxurious yachts and cater to their client's needs. After the original series proved to be a success, Bravo developed a handful of spinoff shows including Below Deck Selling Yacht, Below Deck Adventure, Below Deck Down Under, and Below Deck Mediterranean.

What is Below Deck Seine?

Captain Sandy Yawn on Below Deck Med

What is Below Deck Seine? That’s the question on Below Deck fans’ minds after Captain Sandy Yawn popped up in a new promo today.

The Below Deck franchise not only continues to be a mega-hit but keeps spawning spin-off shows.

The rumor only heightened today, thanks to a Below Deck Seine teaser.

Captain Sandy has been at the helm of Below Deck Med since Season 2, but could she be ready for a new challenge?

Let’s take a look at what we know.

Bravo released a new promo this morning titled Below Deck Seine featuring Captain Sandy and surfer Carissa Moore. While it may seem like a new Below Deck show, we are here to tell you that it’s not.

In fact, Below Deck Seine serves two different purposes. One is an April Fool’s joke on fans thinking a new show will soon hit Bravo airwaves.

The second purpose was to do a crossover for the Paris Olympics, which will be covered by Bravo and other NBC Universal networks this summer.

Carissa can be seen in the footage promoting the Olympics before Captain Sandy interrupts her with a question.

“Sorry to interrupt. Big fan, by the way! Team USA all the way. Do you know where I could park this super yacht around here?” the captain jokes before replying, “Uh, the Mediterranean?”

It’s a play on the hit-yachting show, which was entertaining. Below Deck fans should expect more of these fun promos before the Paris Olympics begins in August.

More Below Deck news

A lot has been going down in the Below Deck world recently, especially as Season 11 of the OG show hits the halfway point. RHONY alum Jill Zarin will soon make her debut on the show as an overly demanding charter guest.

Meanwhile, an off-screen feud has emerged as Ben Willoughby takes aim at Captain Kerry Titheradge . The captain admitted Ben was not his first choice for the Bosun role. His words have fans wondering if Ben will last until the end of Season 11.

New deckhand Dylan Piérre De Villiers has sparked several questions about Below Deck thanks to a recent photo he shared and his appearance on another Bravo show.

Plus, Captain Jason Chambers gave an update on Below Deck Down Under Season 3 while also asking for fans’ help.

Below Deck airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo. Seasons 1-11 are streaming on Peacock.

RHONY’s Jill Zarin Gives Off Major Primary Energy During ‘Below Deck’ Appearance: ‘Freeloading Guest’

RHONY s Jill Zarin Gives Off Major Primary Energy During Below Deck Appearance Freeloading Guest 857

Below Deck fans have been waiting for Jill Zarin ‘s highly anticipated appearance — and the former Housewife didn’t disappoint.

During the Monday, April 1, episode of Below Deck , Jill, 60, was a guest on the newest charter and it didn’t take long for her to give primary energy. Stew Barbie Pascual was the first to experience Jill’s demands when the former Real Housewives of New York City star complained about her drink.

“I have to say that this ice machine is not the best. Dump it,” Jill told Barbie, who was able to find different ice. “This is nugget ice. I don’t care about anyone else. My Diet Cokes? [They go] into the freezer.”

In a confessional, Barbie shared her initial thoughts on Jill, saying, “Jill is the primary in her head. She’s overwhelming.”

Jill was also not thrilled with the bathroom situation on the ship, St. David.

“Can I tell you something else? Because I’ve chartered a lot of yachts before and every bathroom is loaded with toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, bandaids. Has anyone ever said that before?” she asked Barbie. “Even Tums [since] some people can’t handle the water or whatever it is. You should have Tums in the bathroom.”

Jill continued: “That was all. I’m like, the complainer, I’m sorry. There’s chocolates on the pillow, right?”

Barbie attempted to placate Jill’s demands, telling chief steward Fraser Olender , “Jill just pulled me into the bathroom and she said that yachts are supposed to have all this stuff. She is painful.”

While speaking to the cameras, Barbie expressed her frustration. “I think she’s annoying and I think it is too much,” she noted. “You are a freeloading guest who is extremely demanding. This is too much for me. I need another stew just for Jill.”

Jill subsequently got a special basket with toiletries, which she considered “scrambling” on the crew’s part. On the second day of the character, Jill brought up her issues with timing.

“It’s such a big boat. They can’t be here all the time. But sometimes, like, if you need hot sauce on a hot plate of food, you don’t want to wait five minutes for it because it is going to be cold,” she told her fellow guests.

Jill elaborated on her observation to Fraser, saying, “Can I give you another recommendation for the yacht? I had this on mine. A button for the primary and it is like a doorbell. I used to have a doorbell and it would go up to the kitchen.”

The demands made Fraser feel as if Jill was “crawling into” his brain and “eating away” at his soul. Later that day, Fraser was off the boat preparing for a beach event, which is when lunch went awry without his knowledge.

“I am thinking about the food, not the service. I am talking about the food. I know I wrote on my [preference sheet] that I wanted food out all the time. But there has to be something that is out all day,” Jill mentioned in front of Barbie. “That is why I have to get involved. I am a little pushy but at least you will be satisfied.”

For lunch, chef Anthony Iracane attempted to make a meal that took everyone’s dietary restrictions into account. However, the confusion led to some guests receiving their meals on time and others — such as Jill — having to wait longer.

“This is not good. [The] burger is cold. Anybody else? Tell the truth. Just tell them, they don’t mind. I mean, they want you to tell them,” Jill said to her friends. “My instinct was not to be surprised and to know all the meals in advance. I am much better off knowing in advance and this way I can make adjustments to make it better.”

According to Anthony, it felt as if Jill was “taking over the boat,” noting, “It’s like she’s a f—king captain. She’s taking over the ship.” Barbie, meanwhile, told a friend over the phone that she hated “this f—king Housewife so much.”

Fraser spoke to Jill about the issues, which she assured him weren’t that serious.

“First of all, don’t be sorry. But when you are sitting there and you don’t know what is going on then half the dishes come out and the other half don’t. Mine comes out cold.Something is off,” she explained. “You do it once and you make sure you never do it again.”

The episode ended with Anthony being affected by all the demands. Captain Kerry Titheradge subsequently reminded him that they need to be catering to their primary — who wasn’t Jill — first.

“What is happening is that Jill is rattling our cage too much and we are focusing on Jill. We should be focusing on the primary,” Kerry pointed out. “We can’t drift away from what the primary wants, otherwise we make more and more mistakes.”

Before Jill’s onscreen appearance on Below Deck , Kerry and Fraser teased the challenging charter.

“She’s sweet. She’s very lovely and very funny — but demanding,” Fraser exclusively told Us Weekly in February. “[But] all guests are demanding. They’re charter guests and they’ve got their preferences and sometimes they can be frustrating.”

Fraser also commented on Jill’s craziest request , sharing, “It’s going to be the ice. She didn’t like any of the ice apart from a specific one. From a specific freezer. So we had to have a specific ice box that kind of followed wherever she went. I love it. If that’s the biggest concern, then we should [be good].”

Where Are the Below Deck Season 1 Cast Members Now?

Discover where the OG cast — including C.J. LeBeau, Adrienne Gang, and David Bradberry — are today.

biggest yacht in below deck

When  Below Deck  first set sail in July 2013, now one knew how big of a hit it would be. Today, the original show is part of a major franchise including Below Deck Mediterranean , Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Below Deck Adventure , and Below Deck Down Under  — and we  still  can't get enough of the seafaring drama.

How to Watch

Watch  Below Deck on Bravo Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo App .

That's to say, while there have been many iconic cast members over the years, we'd be remiss to forget the OGs.

"We live together and work together, and when you're in such close quarters it gets stressful. It gets frustrating," said chief stew  Adrienne Gang in Season 1, Episode 1, perfectly summarizing the relationship of her cast (and the groups who would follow).

Ahead, find out what your favorite Below Deck Season 1 cast members — including Adrienne,  Captain Lee Rosbach , Aleks Taldykin , Ben Robinson , C.J. LeBleau , Kat Held , Samantha Orme , Eddie Lucas , and David Bradberry — have been up to in the 10-plus years since the season ended.

Where is Captain Lee Rosbach of Below Deck now?

To no one's surprise, the Stud of the Sea stayed on Below Deck through Season 10. While he didn't return for Season 11, Lee is still doing what he does best — captaining and saying his piece .

Off the water and off the set, he loves spending time with his wife , Mary Anne.

Where is Below Deck 's Season 1 first officer Aleks Taldykin now?

First Officer Aleks made one of the most remarkable cross-franchise Bravo cameos when he showed up on Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules  for a date with Kristen Doute . These days, the Los Angeles native is still in the yachting industry, running a company called Elite Yacht Management.

He's also recently become a father.

"As I turned 38 today, reflecting on life, wanted to share the best birthday gift we could have ever asked for. Our son Krew Taldykin," he shared  via Instagram in March 2024. "He’s already breaking hearts out on the streets, and will be driving yachts in no time."

(Kristen commented a couple of crying face emojis on the announcement, naturally.)

Where is Below Deck 's Chef Ben Robinson now?

Chef Ben has made quite a few appearances in the Below Deck franchise over the years, sticking it out on the OG series until Season 4. He then transitioned to Below Deck Med,  helping  Captain Sandy Yawn out after a team situation turned sour in the galley.

Today, the chef is still cooking his delicacies and traveling the world. He runs a successful catering business and is available for private events, private instruction, and guest appearances. He also launched a  knife  and a  hot sauce  in 2022.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 chief stew Adrienne Gang now?

While Adrienne's tough work ethic didn't always mesh with her team, the first ever Below Deck chief stew certainly knew what she was doing.

In fact, she still works in the industry, serving as culinary director of Blue Oceans Yachting and running a Below Deck -themed podcast called Gangplank Report . In 2018, she married chiropractor Dr. Andrew Danks .

Where is Below Deck Season 1 second engineer C.J. LeBeau now?

You might remember C.J. as the engineer who was running around shirtless in Episode 2, much to Captain Lee's chagrin. If you recall further, he didn't last long, exciting the show after he was caught taking a swim and having a drink with third stew Samantha.

We haven't heard much from him since.

Where is Below Deck second stew Kat Held now?

Kat stuck around for Season 2 of Below Deck , but  told The Daily Dish  in 2015 that she eventually left yachting behind entirely. After realizing she wanted to try something new, she began bartending in Newport and went back to school.

In January 2020, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen alongside other franchise favorites to celebrate Below Deck 's 100th episode.

Where is Below Deck Season 1 third stew Samantha Orme now?

Samantha, who went by Sam, came to Below Deck  with some unique experiences: Her family owned an 80-foot catamaran. Working on a boat was a little different than enjoying one, however.

"Working on a mega-yacht is not for me," she eventually shared during a Season 1 confessional. "I had bigger hopes for what this would entail."

These days, Sam is married and has two adorable daughters, of whom she shares the cutest photos on her Instagram .

Where is Below Deck  Season 1 first deckhand Eddie Lucas now?

After working as a deckhand in Season 1, Eddie transitioned to bosun work in Season 2 and 3. During his third go around, Captain Lee had to take Eddie aside after the then-bosun admitted to cheating on his girlfriend with a fellow crew member.

In January 2023, news broke that Eddie had climbed the ranks even further and was captaining a tugboat named   Lynne Moran.

“A lot of it was just hard work, keeping your mouth shut, being quiet. You know that whole ‘squeaky wheel gets the grease’? Well, the squeaky wheel also gets replaced. So just keep your head down and your nose to the grindstone and work hard. And do the right thing. That’s treating people with respect," he told  The Baltimore Banner .  "I think that’s huge, and in my industry, the hierarchy is important. You’ve got to respect it. You don’t want to start arguments until you get to be a captain. Now, I can be a pain in the ass.”

The now-captain also has an adorable dog: Bert .

Where is second deckhand David Bradberry from Below Deck now?

"I've got the least amount of experience and probably the lowest amount of credentials, but give me a challenge and I'll meet it," shared David Bradberry in Episode 1.

While David got engaged during Season 1, he and his longtime partner Trevor Knight are no longer together.

He returned in Season 3 when Captain Lee found himself shorthanded, appearing in Episodes 11-13.

He's since appeared in a number of LGBTQ-themed movies and shorts, according to IMDb .
