Mantoloking Yacht Club Wedding Photos Ryann and Jack
Back to top.
Ryann and Jack wanted a relaxed wedding day that still felt elegant. That was one of the reasons they wound up looking at Mantoloking Yacht Club. With the atmosphere of the Barnegat Bay and the romantic yacht club, they knew they’d found the perfect fit!
Ryann got ready right across the street from the yacht club, so I was able to get a sneak peek at the venue earlier in the day and it got me so excited to have it as a backdrop for their portrait session later on. I knew the gorgeous backlighting from over the bay was going to make for the dreamiest portraits, and stunning sunset photos, too!
For their ceremony, these two chose a traditional church ceremony and it was so emotional! There were lots of tears that we all found heartwarming and sweet. Afterwards, Ryann and Jack shared a trolley ride with their loved ones and then we headed to the docks for their portrait session. I personally loved photographing their day here – the beautiful views of the bay were second to none and the light-filled images we created are among my favorites of the season!
The reception included a white color palette brought to life by stunning florals filling the space. There were twinkle lights all around and beautiful greenery to complement them. You’ll have to see for yourself how beautiful it all turned out by scrolling through the post below.
Ryann and Jack, I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon in Newport and East Hampton! Congratulations on your marriage and enjoy every minute of getting settled into married life!

Mantoloking Yacht Club Wedding – Millie & Bart
There’s an experience of getting to know one another when a bride and groom decide to have me capture their wedding day with my photography. 1) We have a meeting. 2) I learn their story and as a result develop a relationship of trust and comfort over the course of some months. 3) Then finally their wedding date arrives and happiness ensues. I met Millie a week before her wedding to Bart. This is not an exaggeration for ‘effect.’ This is real life. I am so happy I was available on such short notice to photograph her wed Bart during their Mantoloking Yacht Club wedding ceremony and reception.
Millie hadn’t intended to have a wedding photographer initially. Mainly she didn’t want to go through the hassle of finding one only to be disappointed because they were so intrusive. On the day of her friend 60th party, she decided to approach me. She said she watched my demeanor and was impressed by my inconspicuous process. She asked if I happened to be available. I was beyond flattered, checked my calendar, and of course said ‘yes!’
Given the last minute notice, we had to speed up and condense the ‘get to know you’ portion of my process. There was just one unexpected curveball: as the professional photographer, I was not allowed inside the church for the ceremony. But it all worked out in the end, I think we rocked it shooting from the doorways!
The gorgeous architecture of St Simon by the Sea in Mantoloking, NJ made it an obvious choice for the ceremony. That and the fact that it’s walking distance to the Mantoloking Yacht Club where the reception was.
Millie and bart’s children stood by their side during the ceremony. it really was the joining of two families, not just two people., i must admit, i’ve never been to a wedding when the cops were called. there’s a first for everything, right just next to the reception a young man and his friends were having some fun of their own… dancing wildly to the music. some of the guests were enjoying the free entertainment, but not everyone agreed. he was asked to take his talents elsewhere, making for a great story and some pretty funny photos., millie’s daughter gave a beautiful speech welcoming bart and her two new step brothers into their family., the hazy cloudy weather made for some beautiful, soft lighting for portraits, i think these new siblings have a couple years of noogies and wet willies to catch up on. they seem like a fun bunch and know how to have a good time, what happens in the photo booth stays in the photo booth… unless i show up 😉.

Photobug community, wedding blog, mint and peach wedding at mantoloking yacht club.
With the help of their excellent wedding planners at Lovely Day Styling , Tabitha and Scott’s wedding took the Mantoloking Yacht Club to the next level. The gorgeous mint and peach palette was a unique alternative for the waterfront celebration that perfectly embodied the lightness of a summer wedding in New Jersey. Tabitha looked like a princess in her Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, and each of her bridesmaids wore a coral dress of their choice for a mismatched, yet romantic look.

Tabitha and Scott
The Wedding:
Mantoloking Yacht Club , Mantoloking, New Jersey
The Inspiration:
While we wanted to somewhat maintain a “beach” theme because of the setting, we also didn’t want it to be overly “beachy.” There are many people who have gotten married at the same church, with a reception to follow at the Yacht Club, but we wanted to make sure our wedding felt unique and personal. The first way in which we made that happen was by asking my bridesmaids to each pick out their own dress from the same coral color palate. The end result was amazing. All of my friends looked beautiful in the dress they had picked out for themselves, and I loved how each dress reflected each of their personalities. From there, with the help of Colleen & Beth at Lovely Day Styling, we selected small & personal details to make the whole day feel special.
The Moments:
I had two favorite moments – the first was when we all took the boat out following the ceremony and before the cocktail reception. It gave us a moment to soak everything in, and also gave us a cool & breezy relief from the unexpected heat that day!!
My second favorite moment was the dance my brothers organized for me during the reception. It was somewhat of a “surprise”, but since I have three brothers they wanted to do something special for me during the wedding. I got the chance to dance with each of them to the song “Rosalita” by Bruce Springsteen, and the whole (somewhat uncoordinated) dance had everyone at the reception laughing, and kicked off the dancing for the rest of the night.
The Couple Recommends:
To be honest, everyone we worked with was amazing. From Lovely Day Styling, Ryan Brown Catering, and our florist Jakki… we couldn’t have done it without any of them!! They truely knew what they were doing and guided us throughout the whole process.

Beach Wedding at Mantoloking Yacht Club, NJ | Molly & Danny
- CEREMONY: CHURCH OF ST. SIMON BY THE SEA
- RECEPTION: MANTOLOKING YACHT CLUB
- FLORAL: KATYDID FLORALS & EVENT DESIGN
- PHOTOGRAPHY: EVERLY STUDIOS
I’m kind of at a loss for how to succinctly sum up Molly and Danny’s Mantoloking Yacht Club wedding on the New Jersey shore. For the teenage sweethearts, getting married in the seaside town they had grown up in was a must. Having their ceremony in the small church they’d attended as kids was a must. And having a complete blow-out rager of a reception with all their friends and family? A MUST.
A seaside theme threaded through their wedding, from the newlyweds’ rowboat entrance to the reception, to the his-and-hers beach cruisers for the sparkler exit. Despite the rain, champagne flowed, hang-ten signs were flashed from their surfer friends, and the live band absolutely slayed . It was one of those amazing kinds of weddings where everyone was on the dance floor, pizza and sliders magically showed up as a late-night snack, and no one wanted to leave (honestly, me included).
For all the haters on Jersey: you really have no idea what you’re missing out on.
