26’ ‘Lil Hobo by Catamaran Cruisers??

OK, it’s not considered a pontoon, but rather a ‘trailerable houseboat’. Got that! It rides on 2 fiberglass pontoons. My son-in-law has found a used one and is considering it for his family (wife + 2 kids, 1 and 3). He lives near the ocean and would use it as a day boat in the back bays, most likely slipping it during the season, then trailer it home for off-season and maintenance. He has boating experience with skiffs but nothing larger. He really likes the fiberglass slide from the cabin roof to the water but wants to know how they do in real-life use (maneuverability, especially in current and wind, ability to anchor and/or sandbar stops). This particular one has a 115HP Evinrude outboard which I think should move it quite well. She also has a nice front deck with a retractable ‘roof’ for shade and rain protection. It has no canvas covers or vinyl seating to wear out (compared to a pontoon). The interior is very much like a small houseboat with a galley, dinette, bedroom, and head. Looks like it has shore power to run appliances and air conditioner. Does anyone have experience with this kind of vessel?
