ZANZIBAR CRUISE AREAS 

The main cruise areas around Zanzibar are to its more protected north, south and west coastlines. Surrounding the main island of Zanzibar are groups of smaller islands, about 20 in total and found mainly on the west coast of Zanzibar as well as in the far southwest region.

These includes islands can be found in the north of Zanzibar such as Mnemba and Tumbatu island, the middle islands such as  Changuu Island, Bawe Island, Chumbe Island off the coast from Stone Town and the islands, sand banks and shallow reefs that are found in the Menai Bay Conservation Area, in the south west of Zanzibar!

THINGS TO DO IN ZANZIBAR 

There is alot to see and do in Zanzibar. Our Zanzibar yacht charters include a range of on-board water sport activities, including snorkelling, fishing, kayaking and scuba diving.

The coral-rich waters of Zanzibar are a major draw. From protected Mnemba Atoll, the dolphins and marine life of the Menai Bay Conservation Area, to the impressive Mafia Island Marine Park where you can swim with Whale Sharks.  

Not forgetting the remote undeveloped and stunning Pemba Island, which offers world class diving and with only 4 lodges on the entire Pemba Island, which is almost the same size as Zanzibar, you are sure to have beaches and bays all to yourself.

The islands themselves are extremely interesting with loads of history and culture to discover.

There is nothing better than taking a walk around the World Heritage Site of Stone Town and embracing all the sights, sounds and smells of this unique ancient town in East Africa. Wander the narrow streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, imagining what life must have been like in years gone by.

Zanzibar is known as the ‘Spice Islands’ due to its export of cloves and other spices over the centuries and Zanzibar’s cuisine offers an array of flavours and smells. Strong Arabic, Indian, African, Persian and European influences all add to the vibrancy of the island, which will linger in your memory for many years to come.

​There are also plenty of bars, restaurants and activities on Zanzibar to keep you occupied. ZANZIBAR FISHING CHARTER

We offer live-aboard fishing charters as well as da y fishing charters around the waters of Zanzibar, Pemba Island and the famous Pemba Channel!

​ The Fishing Seasons take place with the Tuna season running from August to October.

Large Tuna can reach up to 100 kg’s, with many schools of 50 kg Tuna still migrating through our waters.

The Tuna are followed by the big Marlin. Large Black and Blue Marlin are caught in September till December whilst our main Striped Marlin season runs from December through to March.

Furthermore, our Billfish season for Marlin and Sailfish runs from November till March. Of course, in between, the Game Fish are always there.

Additionally, September produces some fantastic Wahoo fishing as well as February and March.

This catamaran is spacious, fast…and extremely well designed. Also, her floor plan is flawless as is the attention to detail! Likewise, are her design features which jump out at you the minute you set foot aboard this catamaran!

​We have no set itinerary on our Z anzibar Catamaran Cruises, as we prefer to tailor make each experience based on the time of year, guests interests and conditions at the time. We are very flexible.

Depending on how much time you have, we focus on the West coast of Zanzibar. You will get to sail and explore the Menai Bay Conservation Area, in the far south of Zanzibar, Stone Town and the numerous islands, just off the coast of Stone Town and then further north to Kendwa, famous for its water sports and nightlife and then onwards to Tumbatu Island, Nungwi and the famous Mnemba Island.

Pemba Island Archipelago

For those with a few more days or a week to spend on charter, we can also include the Pemba Island Archipelago, 6-8 hours sail north of Zanzibar.

Pemba offers a remote private charter experience, where you are unlikely to see any other yachts or tourists!

Pemba Island Archipelago also offers a variety of different islands to explore and though it is similar in size to Zanzibar, it only has five island resorts on the whole islands… so you will have the place virtually to yourself!

Mafia Island Archipelago

We also can combine Zanzibar with Mafia Island Archipelago if guests have 7 to 10 days to charter, as Mafia is a 24-hour sail south of Zanzibar.

Most guests prefer to fly to Mafia to meet the yacht there to explore the Mafia Archipelago, and then fly out again, but if you have the time, you can come aboard a yacht in Zanzibar and cruise south to Mafia Island.
