Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy.  

Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay. In the galley, Chef Ilesha's cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase. 

Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. 

With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 introduced charter guest Erica Rose, and it's time to learn more about her. She joined the Parsafil crew alongside several friends to enjoy a mini-getaway in Croatia. However, the crew was getting annoyed with her and her friends, as they were more demanding than the crew expected. Second stewardess Dani even had to give one of the guests a massage because she felt stressed out due to being on a yacht 24/7, surrounded by her friends. As fans await Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 , previous charter guests should be revisited.

Before Erica and her group of girlfriends joined the yacht, seasoned captain Glenn Shephard and the rest of the crew were unsure if they would go through with the charter after crashing the boat twice. While Captain Glenn was parking the yacht by the dock, a mechanical error occurred that short-circuited the thrusters. This caused him to crash into the pier. Luckily, no one was hurt, but a significant amount of cosmetic damage was done to the back of the boat. However, Erica Rose and her friends were able to board the Parsifal. The drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht is just one of the reasons all the shows in the franchise are some of the best reality TV shows .

Erica Rose Was On The Bachelor

Before Erica Rose was known as the second to last charter guest on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , she was known as a contestant on The Bachelor . Erica competed on The Bachelor season 9 in 2006. Prince Lorenzo Borghese was the leading man during that season. The lawyer exited the limo wearing a bejeweled tiara to prove to the Prince that she was ready to become his princess. However, Erica was not destined to be his princess, as she was eliminated after three weeks. Soon after being eliminated, Erica appeared on the first season of the VH1 reality series You're Cut Off! and later starred in two seasons of the now-canceled The Bachelor spin-off, Bachelor Pad (via Distractify ).

Erica Rose Is A Lawyer

Since her early days as a reality star, Erica has started a family and grown her career as a lawyer. After she left The Bachelor , she attended the University of Houston Law Center for four years and later obtained her Master's Degree in Entertainment Law from Southwestern Law School. Erica and her now-husband, Charles Sanders, are partners at the Rose Sanders Law Firm PLLC. Before she found love with Charles, she was engaged to fellow lawyer Galen Gentry. They welcomed a daughter, Holland Rose Madelaine Gentry, born in September 2016. After she married Charles in 2017, the couple welcomed their daughter, Aspen Rose Sanders.

Erica may have moved on from her The Bachelor days, but she still enjoys being on camera. Her time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht may have ended, but she and her friends made quite an impression on the show. Hopefully, there will be equally exciting games in seasons to come.

The Unaired Moment That Caused The Below Deck Crew To Walk Off The Shown

• Behind the scenes drama threatened the future of Below Deck during its early days of shooting over a decade ago.
• Crew members had trust issues with cameras, leading to a walkout triggered by the discovery of drugs on the yacht.
• Production had to intervene in other instances, like on Below Deck Down Under, showing the challenges of filming at sea.

The Bravo series continues to enjoy success. However, behind the scenes, issues have taken place, and that dates back to Below Deck's first time shooting. Reality TV can be stressful, and this was especially true over a decade ago, given how new it still was. Crew members had a hard time adjusting to cameras, and it resulted in a walkout, which threatened the show's future.

We will take a closer look at what took place behind the scenes, and the moment that prompted the show's producer to turn all the cameras off. The event took place during the second day of shooting, and threatened to end the show. We're going to reveal what took place, and the reason Below Deck was allowed to continue. In addition, we're going to reveal other problematic moments that caused the production team to "overstep" and get involved.

A Walkout Took Place On Below Deck After The Crew Thought The Show Planted Drugs On The Yacht

Over 170 episodes have aired of Below Deck . However, at the start, it was unsure if the reality series would get past one. Mark Cronin, the creator of the series revealed the horrible details of the first episode that resulted in one crew quitting. Things got off to a rocky start after the crew had trust issues with the cameras following their every move, especially given that this really wasn't a norm over a decade ago. Privacy was another issue, according to the producer. Those on the boat just wanted to be left alone.

Reality Blurb recapped the biggest disaster in the show's history . Cronin explains, “That was a disaster. That was a real disaster. And the reason it was a disaster was that the cast of the show, the boat crew, they didn’t trust us anyway.”

“A lot of these people, they didn’t even have TVs, like they didn’t even know what reality TV was really,” he continued. “They’re just yachties, really. Yachting is very important to them and keeping their yachting certifications and their licenses. And it wasn’t a joke. So they were looking at us like, ‘Well, what is this? Are you setting us up? Are these guests coming on here to make our lives difficult on purpose? And are you like to what extent are you messing with us?’”

With trust issues already in the air, things went from bad to worse after drugs were found on the boat.

"Then when Johnny Eyelash came on, it was OK, everything was going OK until they found the drugs. And then the cast was like, Oh, it is a setup, and these guys dont know how serious what theyve just done to us is. Meaning us. Meaning the TV show.

The Walkout Finally Settled Down After The Cameras Stopped Rolling

The wise decision was made by Cronin. Cameras were all turned off, and he explained that the drugs were not part of the show. Including this moment would have contributed to the plot, but the producer understood that putting the crew at ease was more important than anything else.

• I stop all the cameras, and we all had to come into the main saloon of the boat, he shared. And I had to sit everybody down and said We did not put drugs on this boat. Those guys, unbeknownst to us, brought something on this boat thats not cool."
• "I get it. And its a disaster. And I didnt want to end this charter early. I didnt want this to happen. I didnt know. Its no good to me if we could shut down in the first episode either.

It all worked out in the end, but the producer understands the second day of shooting almost derailed the entire series.

"They calmed down, and we, of course, went back to shooting the show. And the rest is history, he noted. But that the fact that that happened the second day of shooting was probably the biggest disaster thats been on the show. Truly threatening the existence of the show, that was the biggest thing we overcame.

Fans Noticed Jeff Probst Was "Googly-Eyed" For A Survivor Contestant

Fans on Reddit were spot on after looking back a certain crush Jeff Probst had on a Survivor contestant.

Moving forward, there were other times that the show's production team had to step in. It was deemed as necessary, especially in certain cases.

It Wasn't The Only Time Production Had To Intervene On Below Deck With The Crew

Executive producer Jill Goslicky gave fans some extra details about the behind the scenes. She explained that putting together the show isn't easy . "Everything on the water is harder," she said. "Everything about working on a boat is harder. It requires you to put together a puzzle every day."

In addition, the production team had to intervene in certain instances. One example took place on Below Deck Down Under season 2. The moment saw two crew members fired. Luke Jones snuck into Margot Sisson's room while she was sleeping. Thankfully, a producer intervened, and removed Luke from the boat.

• Below Deck Down Under's Captain Jason Chambers understood the outrage, looking back at the episode.
• "I've had a flood of messages over the last 24 hours from people in similar situations. Some not so lucky of the outcome, so my heart goes out to them."
• "I'd like to thank the production team for breaking the fourth wall and stepping in. Then, reforming and allowing Aesha to come to me in an authentic manner," he added.

Moments between production and the crew are very common. Most recently, Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron talked about losing the cameras.

"Where should we meet that has no cameras." Fans want to see every moment, but we can completely understand the blurred lines between TV and reality, especially for those on the show working their job.

Below Deck Med’s Best (And Worst) Boatmances

You get to know your crew members intimately when you’re trapped on a boat for six weeks, especially on Below Deck Med . As most of the yachties are young, hot, and field up, a few inevitably end up falling for one another. Whether it is a one-night stand or something more, there are some pretty interesting boatmances on Below Deck Mediterranean . 

Jess and Rob (Worst)

During Below Deck Med Season 5, Rob Westergaard and Jess More were attached to each other’s hips right from the start. Jess had a bad case of the green-eyed monster that she couldn’t tame. So when Aesha Scott put her arm around Rob for a charter guest picture, all hell broke loose. The model became upset and started believing something was happening between Aesha and Rob. She distrusted Rob, especially when she found out he was texting an ex-girlfriend. 

But Rob was emotionally invested in Jess. His lust for her impaired his performance on the job, and Jess also started to struggle. The two fought often and hard, which created a tense atmosphere for everyone. Even though they left the boat together to head off to Bali, they have since broken up. 

Malia and Adam (Worst)

From the moment Malia White stepped onto the yacht she was considered one of the hottest deckhands by the men. Before Below Deck Med Season 2 started filming, Adam Glick revealed he and Malia had a physical relationship. However, what really happened remains sort of a mystery. As the season progressed it was clear Adam was envisioning a future with the now bosun. But Malia had her eye on another prize, Wes Walton . 

Malia once told Bravo “I just think after getting to know Adam a little more, he’s quick to get invested into something. He falls, and he falls hard, and I didn’t realize that.” In the end, she ended up picking Wes. The duo dated for a few years but have since gone their separate ways. 

Aesha and Jack (Best)  

As Below Deck Med fans know, Aesha has found her one true love in her fiance, Scott Dobson . But before moving to Colorado and falling madly in love, she had a romance with Liverpool’s Jack Stirrup . The duo was perhaps the best romance in the series, as they always had smiles and kind words for one another. Jack was awkward but showed love for Aesha by planning a surprise date complete with champagne. 

It was hard for viewers and their co-workers not to root for them. Even though they did try to date after the charter season ended, the two didn’t survive. It was reported that Jack left Aesha for his ex. But all that is in the past as Aesha plans her upcoming wedding. 

Natalya and Storm (Worst)

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 gave us Storm Smith and Natalya Scudder . It wasn’t the healthiest relationship by a long shot, but it was highly entertaining on reality TV. Even though Storm helped Natalya escape the pressure of the seasons, the two were boiling pots of emotions. Storm seemed to want to make the relationship work, but Nat kept causing pointless fights, especially after drinking. Fans thought that Natalya was passively agreeing with Storm. So, thankfully, the two decided to leave the drama on the yacht and walk away from one another. 

Tash and Dave (Worst)

Perhaps one of the worst Below Deck Med boatmances has had to be Natasha Webb and Dave White . Before embarking on Season 7, Tash and Dave had hooked up on their previous boat. But the chief stew wanted to keep it a secret from the crew. This move ate Dave up inside. The chef would lash out every time he had a drink. The relationship was beyond problematic as the crew was severely disrupted. 

Their issues spilled over into service during a wine-pairing dinner, which was uncomfortable for everyone. Dave then called Tash every name under the sun and moved out of his shared bunk room with her. 

Luka and Natalya and Jessika (Best) 

Season 8’s Luka Brunton was a smokeshow. Upon boarding the yacht, Luka formed a very flirty relationship with Natalya. The two were cute. Both were good-looking, and they seemed mostly harmless. At the time, Nat was trying to figure out her open relationship with her boyfriend back on land. Eventually, Nat left the boat, and Luka turned his sights to Jessika Asai . The two ended up having a season-long boatmance, but it fizzled out. The connections just seemed like harmless flirting in the end.
