Step onto the deck of the Creole Queen , a real 1850s-style paddle wheel boat, and begin your cruise along the muddy waters of the mighty Mississippi. Admire the colorful architecture of the historic French Quarter and the bustle of the Port of New Orleans, listening as your captain regales you with tales from the Big Easy's storied past.
When the boat pulls up to dock in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, walk ashore to visit the site of the Battle of New Orleans—the final battle in the War of 1812. This combat spurred the complete withdrawal of British forces from Louisiana. Tour the Chalmette Battlefield and admire the beautifully restored Malus-Beauregard House, a stately 19th-century mansion that offers a glimpse of Southern culture in a bygone era.

- Brittany L. Jul 2023 The food and commentary was excellent. Even though it stormed on us, we had such a good time!
- Stephanie R. Dec 2021 Funny guide with dry humor. If you buy dinner, go hungry because it was all you can eat during the time on the boat. Good for history buffs.
- Ralph S. Dec 2021 Charles (guide) was great! Food hostess was the mostest
- Mark C. Oct 2021 The narrator on the Miss Creole sounds like the guy from American Dad. He made the this trip entertaining.

Things to Do: New Orleans Riverboat
A ride on the mississippi offers great views and a relaxing time.
Mark Twain said that the Mississippi River was a wonderful book with a new story to tell every day. Mississippi, a Chippewa Indian word that means “large river” is the life force that has shaped New Orleans history forever, defining and literally shaping the city into its famous Crescent outline. The best way to see what Mark Twain was talking about is to take a paddleboat tour along the hard working river, and travel back to the days when steam-driven river paddle wheelers were the main source of both transportation and commerce. Boat tours leave regularly from the riverfront area adjacent to Woldenberg Park, some offering music and meals, all offering cocktails and narration. So hop aboard one of these.

Great Historical Tour to Battle of New Orleans
Great paddle-boat tour to Chalmette Battlefield for the "Battle of New Orleans." Narrator Charles was excellent!! His historical account of New Orleans leading up to the battle of New Orleans (as you embark to go to the battlefield) and his narration of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath (on your way back from the battlefield) were excellent and job well done! He also gave some good city recommendations. Creole Queen was good with cash/credit card bar and you could eat lunch as well. Battlefield is an excellent excursion if you are even a little into history and museum and visitor center does a great job for the US Park Service. Great tour all around.
The cruise is about 2.5 hr long and is worth the time, learned a lot about the history of New Orleans how it was built and how it’s culture was built. The stop at the battlefield of 1815 AD was very informative as well as the view on the top of the tower is awesome. Food on the cruise was exceptional and the service was one of the best.
We had an awesome ride on the Creole Queen. They staff was very friendly and inviting to any questions we may have had. We learned many facts about America on the trip that we were unaware of. All in all the tour guide was awesome, the food was great, and the service was terrific ! Would definitely recommend
Was a great way to spend around 2 and a half hours. Charles, the narrator, was great and had a narration style very similar to that of John Greene.
Very interesting and informative with lots to see in spite of the cold, drizzly weather. We even braved the walk over to the battlefield, the visitor’s center and museum. Lunch was delicious, and true to Louisiana cuisine. Wendell kept us well entertained with a running commentary of the history of New Orleans, the battle, and pointed out important landmarks along the way.
This cruise was ok. Not kid friendly for a 16 month old baby . The food was ok as well. A little boring after I ate . The alcoholic drink was good. They took forever to load the ship . It was extremely slow getting on board . The speaker never came to talk to us but spoke to everyone else . Wasn’t really worth $53 maybe worth $35. Something to do , started to fall asleep at the end .
