Valentino Rossi is enjoying an interesting start to his new year. A few days ago he was wearing team Petronas colours for the first time, while now he’s taking delivery of a new yacht to use for his 2021 holidays .

The Mochi Craft raises its anchor

Italian publication "Il Resto del Carlino" has reported the sale of Vale’s old yacht, the Mochi Craft , claiming that it is bound for France . It appears that the Italian has sold his craft, purchased roughly 15 years ago and aboard which he has enjoyed some dream holidays with girlfriend Francesca Sofia Novello , to a French collector. But is that a yacht collector or a VR46 memorabilia collector?

In any case, when one yacht departs, another must arrive, and it appears Rossi’s new purchase is a 'Pershing' which, according to “Il Resto del Carlino" was ordered at the Mondolfo shipyard, part of the Ferretti group .

This would be Vale’s third yacht, after Titilla and Titilla II with which the nine-time champ has, over the years, enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation time with his girlfriend and friends, far from his many fans and prying eyes.

Valentino Rossi has bought himself a belated Christmas present: a new yacht.

The Italian MotoGP star sold his Mochi Craft, which was 15 years old, to a French collector and is now going to get a new one.

According to the Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, Rossi has ordered a Pershing, a luxury brand, from the company Ferretti.

This yacht is valued at eight million euros and is 30 metres in length.

Rossi is regularly seen on these yachts with his girlfriend, Francesca Sofia Novello.

Valentino Rossi buys extravagant luxury yacht

Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi has splashed out on a new luxury motor yacht worth somewhere north of €4.5 million (roughly $6.9 million AUD).

The MotoGP legend is no stranger to the high seas, but this latest nautical purchase may be one of his most extravagant yet.

Rossi witnessed the launch of his new Sanlorenzo SX88 via video conference, with the official delivery expected to take place in May.

The 27-metre motor yacht appears to be set up for long journeys on the water, with a 9,300-litre fuel tank and accommodation for eight guests and three crew members. The boat is powered by an 800hp Volvo Penta IPS engine, with a top speed of 23 knots.

A quick look at the yacht on the Sanlorenzo website reveals a stylish interior with plenty of entertaining space, a sizable galley, spacious bathrooms, and luxurious bedrooms.

The Doctor’s has owned two previous yachts – dubbed Titilla I and Titilla II. It is expected that his new yacht will be christened Titilla III.

Rossi, who has been racing in the premier MotoGP class for twenty years, is seemingly coming to the end of his career as a professional motorcycle racer. The Italian was dropped from the factory Yamaha team in 2020 , and will race for the satellite Petronas team in 2021.

At the recent test in Qatar , Rossi showed good pace, but was still some way behind the frontrunners. The first race of the 2021 season takes place at the Losail circuit this weekend.

The Italian rider won his first premier-class championship in 2001 – the last time he raced for a satellite race team. He won a subsequent six world titles, his last coming in 2009. His last race win was in 2017, while he did achieve a podium in 2020 .

If the Doctor does indeed retire at the end of 2021, he’ll have a lot more time to travel the high seas and relax on his brand-new purchase.

MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi buys a new yacht!

The news has been circulating for a few weeks and now it seems absolutely confirmed. The motorcycling champion Valentino Rossi is preparing to inaugurate a new yacht that will replace his dated Mochi Craft.

From the latest rumors, it seems that the new jewel is about to undergo the launching and then move on to the final set-up and delivery, which however will not take place before the month of May 2021.

A great and beloved two wheels champion

The nine-time world champion, at the age of 41 (42 in a month), is preparing to begin his 26th motorcycle season under the name of change. After years of success and great victories, “the Doctor”, this is his nickname, will no longer be riding the Yamaha team’s trusted M1 but will race with the Yamaha Petronas satellite team alongside his friend and student at the rider academy VR46, Franco Morbidelli.

In short, 2021 opens with a series of changes for Valentino, and one of these concerns his “home” on the sea.

It will be called Titilla III

It seems that this will be the name chosen for the new Valentino Rossi boat, in the name of continuity with its predecessors.

The Titilla and the Titilla II are in fact the names chosen for his previous yachts. The first of the two was a Pershing while the second (and still Valentino’s current yacht), is a 24-meter Mochi Craft Dolphin class, a brand now controlled by the Ferretti group.

This brand, called Nobil Yacht, enjoyed an excellent reputation up to ten years ago and was all the rage among those entering the world of yachts. Its charm as “lady of the sea” is mainly due to its comfort and spaciousness which compensate for a not very high speed.

Still, according to rumors, it seems that the latter has now been sold by Rossi to a French collector for a figure of around one million euros.

Eventually a Sanlorenzo, but doubt remains!

At first, the rumors concerning Valentino Rossi’s new yacht spoke of a Pershing already in production in the Mondolfo shipyards, the Pershing-Ferretti group headquarters.

In reality, the first rumors turned out to be false while the Doctor was choosing a model from the Sanlorenzo house in La Spezia.

What still remains uncertain is the choice of the model. According to someone, it should be the almost 23 meters long SX76 model while for others the about 26 meters SX88.

What seems instead certain is the basic cost of these yacht models, each one between 4 and 5 million euros. With the customizations requested by Valentino Rossi, the final price could be close to 9 million.

What kind of boats are we talking about?

Well. Surely both boats don’t leave anything to chance, as is the practice for the Sanlorenzo house. Starting with refined furnishings and fine finishes.

SX76 has a length of 23.4 meters and a maximum width of 6.6 meters. It is served by a 1300 liter water tank and a 4350-liter fuel tank that powers two 800 horsepower engines. 

There are two guest cabins: the owner’s suite in the center of the ship and the VIP cabin at the bow. Both equipped with a bathroom and a walk-in closet.

The on-board service is managed by a crew of 3 people.

With a length of 26.7 meters, a width of 7.2, and a maximum speed of 23 knots, the SX88 is instead considered the big brother of the SX76. It is characterized by the wheelhouse positioned exclusively on the flybridge, leaving more space and more solutions to the main deck furnishings.

It is powered by 3 800 horsepower engines and has a fuel tank of over 9,000 liters.

The larger size of this model allows it to accommodate up to 8 guests and 3 crew members.

VALENTINO ROSSI has hung up his helmet on an illustrious 25-year MotoGP career.

The Italian motorcycle rider, 42, said goodbye in an emotional farewell at Sunday's Valencia Grand Prix.

His retirement drew well wishes from tennis legend Roger Federer, Hollywood movie star Tom Cruise, as well as F1 heroes Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

Rossi won nine world championships in the motorsport, amassing a wealth of around £150million.

Now, he can enjoy a well-earned rest with Wag Francesca Sofia Novello, 14-years his junior.

The Doctor can also take his luxury yacht, worth £4million, out for a spin whenever he likes.

Valentino met glam partner Francesca in 2018.

She is a former lingerie model, who was the face of various fashion campaigns in Milan.

But, the pair prefer to keep their romance private and rarely share anything about the relationship.

Even on Francesca's Instagram, which has almost half a million followers, there's very few glimpses into their lifestyle.

However, she was a regular in the paddock - playing the role of supportive Wag during the racing legend's final seasons on the circuit.

The gorgeous brunette once worked as a MotoGP grid girl, but revealed a horror ordeal when she was groped.

Sofia told  Vanity Fair : "In reality it is a job like many others, a stage in my career of which I am proud.

"At 19 it's not easy to work with people who look at your butt when you pass by, and touch your butt when you take a picture.

"Motorsport is a male environment. You have to wake up, you can't be a smiling goose.

"I'm for girl power. But it's part of the game, it does happen.

"You have to learn to be respected. If you let it go and show yourself to be 'beautiful and stupid', you're done."

Rossi is believed to have property in London, Ibiza and his home town of Tavullia.

But it's his most recent purchase that is his most impressive.

He has always been a connoisseur when it comes to yachts, so at the turn of the year it was no surprise to see him splash £4million on a brand new toy.

The 89-foot long vessel is a Sanlorenzo X88 has a maximum speed of 23 knots and can make long journey thanks to a 9,300-litre fuel tank.

Better still, it's big enough to sleep up to eight people.

Previously, Rossi has owned a Mochi Craft, which he sold after 15 years.

He also once bought a Pershing 56 luxury yacht for £1.4million called Titilla.

Loving a sequel, his latest purchase has been labelled Titilla II.

EXPECTANT FATHER

Over the years, Rossi has dated a string of beautiful women, including former beauty pageant winner Linda Morselli for nine years.

But fatherhood seemed far away for the eternal bachelor, who didn't appear to want any offspring of his own.

That is until most recently, when he revealed he was about to become a dad for the first time.

In a hilarious social media post back in August, Rossi dressed up as a doctor while holding a stethoscope pressed up against the stomach of girlfriend Francesca.

He captioned the snap: "After a careful visit we can tell you that Franci is pregnant! We are expecting for a girl."

However, don't expect wedding bells to ring any time soon.

Francesca told GPOne.com back in February: "For me it is not essential.

"If it happens, all well and good, but we love each other all the same.

"I always say that you don't need to have a ring on your finger to have faith in your heart."

FAMILY AFFAIR

While Rossi may have retired from motorsport, there's a family member following in his footsteps.

Maternal half-brother Luca Marini, 24, was the runner-up in the 2020 Moto2 World Championship.

This year, he joined the MotoGP class with the Esponsorama Avintia and raced alongside Rossi.

And in October, he secured his first-ever MotoGP front row in qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
