This team is great! We are cruising from San Diego to San Francisco. I wanted a mechanic to check the boat after the 5.5 hour cruise from San Diego to LA. We called them, they send a technician same day, he was super professional, he checked everything, explained what he was checking, did some repair we needed and he will come back later in the week to finish some stuff he needed parts for. I was very impressed. I will add Photos in about a week.

Ashkan and his team are the best I've ever experienced! After buying our new 2021 Galeon 500 fly I didn't think I'd need much help but you wouldn't believe what a great resource they are! If and when you have a problem, question or project he responds immediately regardless of day or time and brings the best resources to the job. I've just never experienced this level of excellence in marine service over past 10 yrs at any marina...sadly it's usually quite the opposite experience...just a total pro! I see them help countless other neighbors and they all rave about him and his team as well.

FYI these guys do not do any major mechanical work, if that is what you are looking for. I hate to say it, but they're very green/young and just don't have much experience. They do basic "management" like wash-downs and cosmetic upkeep but not much technical experience when it comes to getting into mechanics and systems/electrical. If you live far from the marina, I'd recommend them for looking after your yacht, but for me, they lack the technical know-how to properly do ongoing maintenance for boaters who are regularly out on the water (I have a 2012 Sea Ray 470 Sundancer). I think because so many people rarely use their yacht's in MDR, they bank on people who need ongoing oversight to ensure their boat is clean and ready whenever they decide to come down. I also found the owner Ashkan off-putting and dodgy when I pressed him about making repairs and their technical expertise.

Hi Hunter, After a review of our client lists and our inquiry’s, I do not believe you have reached out to us recently or ever. We would be happy to assist you with your Searay 470 - (we have managed 2 of them previously). We would love to have an opportunity to change your opinion about our company and the people who work in it. I would also be happy to send you a list of references describing the major engine works we have performed in the past, or our rigging work, upgrades or even our custom fabrication jobs we have done for the super yachts in Southern California. However if your not interested in references, there is nothing like actually meeting the crew and giving us a shot. We are not just a cleaning crew :), and if you choose to call us that, we are probably the only cleaning crew around with so many ABYC certifications. Feel free to reach out on our company line anytime, and ask for Ash !

I was talking to my boat neighbor about two separate technicians who didn't show up to appointments. Makan Yacht Group was working on the boat in the next slip, and offered me a card, and said that wouldn't happen with them. So, I scheduled an appointment online, and they showed up as promised, on time, and fixed the electrical issue quickly. They made it better than new by sealing off the area, which was not originally done by the manufacturer. So, I hired them for another job, had the same high quality service, and had the issue fixed (way better than previously sitting around waiting for no-shows). I'm not going to say that I'm excited for something to need repair on my boat, but I am definitely excited to have the support of real pros whom I can call when something inevitably does.

I met these folks the day I moved into MDR Marina. They have not disappointed. MYG consistently provides straightforward, transparent quotes, the highest quality work, and fair pricing. They've also proven to be readily available when things come up. Whatever your boating needs, MYG is your one-stop shop!

My wife and I were visiting Marina del Rey from Channel Islands Harbor aboard Valkyrie. I asked Marina del Rey Marina for any recommendations for a boat wash and they referred us to Makan Yacht Group. They were able to accommodate us the next morning, gave me an approximate time, made payment very easy (via internet) and did a great job! My wife and I went to breakfast about the time they were to arrive. After we finished breakfast and returned the boat had already been washed and cleaned and looked very nice. I know Makan does more than just boat washing and if we were based in Marina del Rey we would use them regularly.

I cannot say enough good things about this crew... My boat was brought all the way from the East Coast... After it was put in the water I was unable to connect shore power when I left it for the night. Ash went to check on the boat at the dock, even though this was not a scheduled appointment. Thank God he did, it turned out that the transporter (Not Ash) had damaged the bow thruster and the boat was taking on water. If Ash had not gone to check on the boat, without power to the batteries in the bilge pump, the boat might have sunk. Ash has conducted maintenance on my boat, he has scheduled bottom cleanings and washes and waxes, and found us a great slip and a great marina. I can't thank him enough for the wonderful service he has provided.

Captain Matt responds immediately and is on top of every little detail. Very rare for the boating industry. Keep his number handy as he his team are a true resource for for anyone with a boat or in the boating industry. First Class service with a smile. They actually make it a very pleasant experience in dealing with your boat. They truly go above and beyond to help you resolve issues and prevent them in the future. Give them a call, truly worth your time.

These guys are great! I was unable to visit in person while planning, but the person I spoke to over the phone was a huge help. The prices are similar to what I found in the area but overall their customer service is what really sets them apart. Our trip went off without a hitch and everyone had a blast!

Pleasantly surprised, service is good so is the food. Great selection of Fusion food, a mixture of Italian, Japanese, European, Asian etc. A pleasantly nice dining experience, highly recommended, a must try!

Best food, best view in Moscow. absolutely faultless from arrival to finish. Best risotto i had for many years absolutely perfectly cooked. The view on Ukrainian hotel and the white house by night is amazing

Had to wait for the food for 1.5 hours and then another 20 minutes for the check. Finally called for the manager and he offered... a 10% discount as a compensation. Simply pathetic! The food is mediocre at best. Not bad per se, but one... would expect something better considering the prices. There are many places to eat in area that are much better. Avoid this one at all costs. Food is very expensive,very pretentious, doesn't worth that money. Portions are very small. We ordered ravioli and there were 4! Four raviolis! For almost 15 euros. Then we asked to bring us dessert menu but nothing, they didn't even bothered, so we payed and left... without dessert. Very poor service for that price. More

This is a very good restaurant. The food is really good, maybe the best in Moscow. The service is also good. The view from the restaurant is great. The prices are very high.

I often visit this restaurant and must say it’s one of the best in Moscow in terms of quality and service. Staff really try hard to make sure that you are happy and satisfied. Customer service is a huge problem in Moscow but Chaika sets... a great example for others in the industry! Food is delicious and the menu has lots of options for everyone! Atmosphere is great and view is beautiful on the embankment. Special thanks to German & Oleg! More

Visited this lovely restaurant with a friend of mine. It was relaxingly warm August evening - so the place on the river seemed like a good idea. We came quite early and the restaurant was not full. The hostesses kindly offered several places to sit... and we chose to sit on the sofas. We had some wine, which was good. We struggled a bit when deciding about the food as few options (scallops) were not available. Fish on ice on display did not look very fresh. To be honest it was an unusually hot August and it is probably understandable that some see food options were not available. However, we did manage to order something and sat waiting and looking onto the river. My long-legged friend struggled sitting at the low sofa and the manager noticed that, offering as a very good, proper table beside the open window. It was nice touch and I was very pleased by their polite observations and immediate reaction to solve the problem. Food was quite good and presentation was perfect. Perhaps I can something about the food, but 1 visit is not enough to criticize or make a definitive opinion. Overall, quality place, which of course, does not come cheap. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. More

The luxurious atmosphere of this place, the view and the location make it quite outstanding. We had dinner here with friends and the dishes were amazing, accompanied by a chilled bottle of Chablis, it really made me feel as if it was a part of... the classic Russian movie. More
