+ Vessel Walkthrough and Accommodations

There are two staterooms each with queen berths. Hella Turbo fans are in each stateroom. The Salon has the upgraded popular U-Shaped convertible dinette with under-seat and under sole storage. There are lots of hanging lockers and enclosed shelving between the starboard MSR stateroom and Head, with dry under-sole passageway storage. The Head is forward to starboard with a vanity/medicine cabinet, lavatory, and a separate shower compartment. Salon has Cherry paneling, Teak and Holly sole, large U-Shaped convertible dinette with beautiful Blue Ultra-leather upholstery, two Hella Turbo fans, and hide-a-way screen for center forward opening windshield. Slightly elevated overlooking the U-Shaped settee is an L-Shaped settee aft to port with the lower helm to starboard. The Helm has an adjustable double-wide lower helm seat, dry bar storage, AM/FM/CD stereo, and a phantom rolling screen door (for back door). The enlarged Galley in 2005 located in the portside hull, has large countertops on both the inboard and outboard sides. Lots of storage, large SS sinks, electric 2-burner stovetop, microwave/convection oven, refrigerator/freezer forward, with more dry storage beneath the lift-up Galley sole.

The Topside includes an enormous Flybridge area with Upper Helm Station, with build-in passenger seating, and numerous storage lockers. On deck there are wide walk-arounds, wide cushioned aft seating, and Transom Stairs on each hull. A swim ladder on the port side makes getting in and out of the water a breeze! There is a super strong, upgraded davit system, with a 2020 AB Rib with Yamaha 2021 15hp 4-stroke OB engine for those lovely beach and town excursions.

Main Salon:

Salon is comprised of two levels spanning across the bridge deck: The lower helm (described separately below) and L-Shaped settee on a raised bridge deck level aft. This level overlooks the U-Shaped convertible settee two steps down and forward, with Cherry table. Lots of storage under settee and in lift-up sole under table. Settee converts to berth with filler cushions.

The Galley is well laid out and uses its space very efficiently. The 2005 model Galley provides almost twice as much usable space as previous models. It is located two steps down from the Salon, midship in the port hull. The Galley is open to the Salon and Dinette area and provides good ventilation and ease in socializing with people in the Salon while working in the Galley. There is a uniquely designed pass-through from the Galley to the U-Shaped Settee eating area by removing the portside settee seat back, to allow an even more open feeling with your Guests.

Lower Helm and Electronics:

For a Powercat this has a unique and very well thought out Lower Helm Station. It is located just to the bottom of the stairs from the elevated upper deck to the starboard side. This Helm Station is also elevated in the Cabin by one step overlooking the U-Shaped Settee in the Salon cabin area. This design allows for quick access to the deck for docking situations. It also allows for a great socializing situation because all the interactions with people in the cabin are forward of the Captain and not behind them. There is a 360d view with big panoramic window views in air conditioned comfort and out of the rain. There are three big pantograph windshield wipers to keep the view open. The Captain’s seat is a double-wide and adjustable fore and aft. All Navigation, Handling, and Engine monitoring equipment is well laid out and easy to read. There is an L-Shaped Settee opposite on the port side with a large chart table for the Navigator.

Electrical:

No getting on your knees and searching around in the dark to find switches and circuit breakers. To access ALL electrical wiring, etc is just lifting a Cherry panel just inboard of the AC/DC panel. ***** 34' GEMINI CATAMARAN FOR SALE ***** This is a Gemini 105Mc, one of the largest catamaran fleets in the world. Sorry to see her go. Before it hits the brokers she is FOR SALE BY OWNER at $10,000 less, for a limited time. And if you buy my one share in WINDOG Inc, you own the company and pay no sales tax. Hull #698 was built by Tony Smith at Performance Cruising in 2000. The Gemini is no longer made but a fleet of over 1100 was produced from 1980 to 2010. The basic design lives on in the Legacy. WINDOG was one of the first of the Mc version, having an extra 1' of sail area along the leech and redesigned fiberglass molds. The 105Mc has a single mold for both hulls, which adds great rigidity. The added sail was intended to improve performance; I have consistently done 8 knots on a reach with a 25 knot crosswind. She was owned from 2000 to 2003 by Gary Peters of baseball fame and since then by me. She has gone to Key West and the Bahamas and back but the hull is as good as the day it first hit the water. The last seven years have been spent out of the water on a lift or noodling about Sarasota Bay. There are many new parts. The diesel engine has only 1200 hours on it, and the Yamaha less than that. The Captain's log tells all. NEW AND EXTRA EQUIPMENT WINDOG has several optional items, listed here. In addition, some items that have been installed or replaced within the last twelve months are listed with the notation NEW. Two Solar panels, producing 5 amps each at 15-20 volts. Here is a brief rundown of the standard features: The fiberglass hull and decks, 33'6" long and 14' wide, can be transported on US highways. The hull draws 18 inches. She has a 39' mast with spreaders, 46' off the water; 320 square foot main with three battens; a 150% Genoa of 390 square feet, with roller furling from the cockpit; forestay, backstay, two side stays and two secondary stays. The cockpit is 60" x 100" with an engine locker and two storage lockers, seating six comfortably. There are two large lockers aft, one sail locker forward and one anchor locker forward; a full solid fore deck with two seats; one halyard winch and two jib sheet winches. The inboard water-cooled 27 HP Westerbeke diesel has a 55-amp alternator, Sonic outdrive with 27" draft and hydraulic lift. There are two 18-gallon diesel tanks, two 20-lb propane tanks, two 30-gallon water tanks. She has two kick-up rudders with 27" draft and two retractable centerboards with 5'6" draft, operated from inside the cabin. The cabin and cockpit have 6' 0" to 6' 5" headroom throughout; four hatches with screens and windows all around; a dinette with 90" of seating and a drop down table holding a 65" x 62" mattress; a master suite forward with queen size bed, four closets and an eight draw dresser; a 90" x 19" galley, double sink, 2-burner stove, broiler and oven; 4 cubic foot refrigerator. There is sliding door storage on each side of the dinette as well as six fans, six ceiling lights, six AC outlets and two DC outlets throughout the cabin. Navigation station is 90" long, with three lockers and one cabinet (holds up to four batteries); the head has a stand up shower, stainless steel oval sink, double medicine cabinet, two towel racks, marine head and an 18 gal holding tank. Just inside the cabin are a 20-breaker AC/DC electrical panel, VHF radio, Xintex detector, captain's table and a jump seat. There are two bunk rooms, aft in the hulls, each with a 48" x 62" mattress, two portholes and two storage cabinets, plus storage under the bunks. TWO SPACIOUS CABINS: Offering QUEEN BEDS, and loads of easy access storage, including hanging closets. (For additional overnight guests, the salon table converts into a third queen bunk.) Terrific ventilation and views from large aft facing hatches and sidelights.

HEAD is forward on the starboard side and features electric toilet,  separate walk-in shower with plexiglass door, and integrated wash basin

UPPER HELM AND DECK: Fully equipped, the upper helm is accessed by steps (instead of a ladder) and has room for six (or more) passengers,  built in cooler storage, and plenty of storage for supplies and life vests.

THE MAIN DECK: Touted for it's wide two-person pass-ways & safety railings, this PDQ also offers a roomy bow for lounging, and 4 forward compartments to store dive gear, fenders, folding chairs and more. Forward of the DINGHY DAVITS there is a  cushioned bench seat w/ backrest. 

STEP-STYLE TRANSOMS provide easy access to the dock, and water - with a port side dive ladder and gear lockers . 

EXTRA STORAGE space abounds in the PDQ 34: two large deck lockers fwd, on the transom and flybridge; and cavernous spaces under the settees and companion way floors.

Brand: Contour 34

The Cole Beadon designed Contour 34 SC is the largest trailerable trimaran built with viable accommodations for extended cruising. The 34 SC is a legitimate offshore yacht with transoceanic capabilities, and the swing-wing retractable ama system has the structural integrity of a fixed-beam system.

The displacement is only 4,850 pounds, which helps explain why speeds in excess of 20 knots are common. The rudder is outboard. The centerboard, which is controlled from the cockpit, extends the draft from 1 foot, 3 inches to 5 feet, 3 inches.
