Created by Wider Centro Stile, which took care of the design of both the internal and external environments in detail, the superyacht is spread over five covered decks. Wider 210 is equipped with the most up-to-date version of the Serial Hybrid Technology, the exclusive Wider technology which by reducing the use of traditional engines limits consumption and emissions, optimizes on-board energy management and eliminates vibrations and noise thanks to the ability to navigate in ZEM mode (Zero Emission Mode). Made entirely of aluminum with two-tone paint between the hull and superstructure, the Wider Centro Stile has provided large windows on the main deck that allow light to reach every room. On a stylistic level, the parallel arch motifs stand out from the main deck that reach the wheelhouse and are repeated towards the bow.

The Wider beach club  finds its maximum expression in the Wider 210. The large relax area located on the lower deck is directly connected to the spa area with sauna and hammam. It can also be configured as a cinema zone. Internal Layout

The interior lines of the Wider 210 have been designed to promote maximum comfort for guests. The main deck is characterized by a saloon with large windows that allows the “winter garden” effect, having direct contact with the surrounding environment while being inside. Cabins and living area

Wider 210 has 6 guest cabins : 4 VIP cabins on the lower deck, a master cabin on the main deck and the large owner suite on the upper deck. It has a 270-degree view and two side exits on the main deck, where there is an infinity pool and a cockpit well protected from the wind that guarantees total privacy. Entertainment

The whole Wider 210  has been designed to offer more than a relax space in different outdoor environments.  Several sunbathing areas are available  and guarantee privacy and relaxation at the same time. 5 key features of Wider’s first superyacht

The wider 150's superb outdoor space and beach club.

Wider Yacht’s first superyacht, the Wider150, is designed for someone who is looking for large outdoor spaces while out on the water, simultaneously expecting all of the indoor comforts they require from home, plus the highest levels of engineering.

The 46 metre  Wider 150 completed sea trials in December  with 90 per cent of the interior already completed.

Here Wider Yacht's Jeremy Roche explains five features that make the Wider 150 stand out for her size.

1. The Wider 150's superb outdoor space and the beach club

The Wider 150 has more than 350 square metres of outdoor space, including a 90 square metre beach club and a sizeable pool. It is the biggest beach club in its competitive set and the only one to have a superyacht pool .

The pool is seven metres long, three metres wide and a metre deep. The pool provides a safe environment for small children, privacy from prying eyes or cameras, shade from the sun and freedom from the fear of jelly fish in the sea.

The Wider 150 is one of the quietest superyachts in the world

The 544kWh battery bank has many advantages, but it is the silence it creates that really stands out, meaning the Wider 150 features in our list of the quietest superyachts .

The huge battery bank means that propulsion is possible on battery power alone. The Wider 150 can cruise at five knots for six hours on just battery power – an excellent way to leave harbour early in the morning without waking the guests. If guests want to enjoy a day on board in a discreet bay, the battery bank (once fully charged) can supply eight hours of power in silence, whilst still running all of the hotel services as normal.

The system can be preset by the captain to ensure that the battery power bank charges whilst underway, meaning the yacht can arrive at a destination full charged. And because the generator won't need to run, guests won't be bothered by smoke from the generators while swimming near the boat, and there won't be any diesel smell while sitting in the beach club enjoying a sundown cocktail.

The 90 minute charge time is also impressive — that's less time than it takes to charge an iPhone!

A tender normally only found on larger yachts

The Wider 150's 9.75 metre rigid tender is unique in this yacht’s size range, normally only available on vessels over 65 metres. It includes a cabin with room for 10 people and allows guests to access the shore in all conditions.

The tender also gives the owner a toy to drive off into areas on his own, if he wishes. The stowage is a wet launching system, meaning the tender is floated in to the aft garage, which doubles as the pool.

The tender is not where the water level fun ends as under the foredeck there is a large crew garage to carry another 4.5 metre tender, two jet skis, wakeboards, paddleboards and diving equipment. The tender and jet skis can be launched here from a hydraulic hatch on the port side together with a gantry crane.

The Wider 150's huge owner’s apartment

At 75 square metres, this is, again, the biggest of its type in its class. The owner’s apartment includes a 16 square metre office, with an electrically operated partition door, a full beam sleeping area of 31 square metres, a full beam bathroom and a 4 square metre dressing room.

But perhaps the most eye-catching feature of this area is the 5.6 square metre sea terrace. Generally these terraces have teak on them so that when opened they look and work well.

Normally when these terraces are closed the design of the room is completely spoiled by the fact that part of one of the walls is covered in teak.

However, when the terrace on the Wider 150 is closed, you don’t realise that it is a terrace at all because it is designed to blend in with the rest of the room. But, there is still a teak deck for the outdoor terrace.

At the press of a single button the terrace opens and stops at 90 degrees to the hull; then a floor covered in teak, which is under the owner’s apartment floor, slides out to cover this area and raises to ensure that the height of the floor is the same as the indoor cabin. Finally, handrails lift making sure the area is secure for use.

The Wider 150's propulsion

The Wider 150_ _has diesel electric propulsion with Azimuthal pods.

The advantages of this system over the traditional twin screw propulsion mean fuel consumption is about 20% less than on a similar yacht with traditional propulsion, according to Wider. And at 11 knots, it offers a range of 4,200 nautical miles.

There are no shafts, just electric cables that link the power to the electric motors on the pods and supply all of the hotel systems. This means the layout can be flexible - the engine room on the Wider 150_ _was moved into the bow, liberating more usable space in the midships, which in turn benefits the guest cabins.

The power management system of the Wider 150 optimises the use of one or more generators to ensure that the exact amount of power required at any given moment is produced – no more, no less. It also means less generator hours, extending the time between overhauls.

If you like a lot of beach club with your yacht, the Moonflower 72’s expandable aft deck will have you reaching for your swim trunks at first glance. With two folding bulwark terraces, a sunken sea-water pool, stepped access to the ocean and a walkaround, 1,200-square-foot platform named “The Island,” Nauta Design’s patented offering raises the bar for outdoor living with a healthy serving of Italian flair.

“The beach club links several areas that are normally more separated, transforming the whole aft part of the yacht into a ‘pieds dans l’eau’ interconnected social hub,” Mario Pedol, co-founder of Nauta Design, told Robb Report . “It helps to connect guests to the sea, which is evident on smaller yachts but normally more of an issue on a large superyacht .”

Milan-based Nauta Design first penned the 235-foot Moonflower concept in 2018 for an owner looking for a flexible layout that was open to the elements. The steel hull has a  displacement running surface, with a tiered aluminum superstructure, and helipad on the bow. All that pleased the owner, but the decision was made to put the build on hold. Following a design review at the start of this year, construction began at the Wider shipyard in June.

The Moonflower 72 touches other trends popular with today’s owners, such as a heavy use of glass for an indoor-outdoor connection, a private “cozy nest” forward on the main deck, and the inclusion of new technology to streamline life on board. Key to this is an artificial-intelligence system that will study the habits of the owner, guests and crew to attune onboard amenities to their routines, thus reducing energy consumption.

“The system detects human presence, so if a cabin is empty, the lights go out and the AC automatically switches off,” Marcello Maggi, president of Wider Yachts , told Robb Report . “It saves as much energy as possible to maximize onboard efficiency.”

The use of innovative tech has been Wider’s calling card since the brand launched in 2010. Its premier model, the Wider 42, started the expandable deck craze that has become so popular with just about every size of yacht, from 25-footers to gigayachts. The 42 also had a cool-looking space for a jet ski at the stern, and forward, a cabin for weekend trips. Launched a few years later, the Wider 150 was the company’s next breakthrough design. Like the 42, it was ahead of its time, with hybrid power, full-height doors and panels that mixed indoor and outdoor spaces. A combo saltwater pool/tender garage in the lower beach club area was a masterful way to transport the tender when running, or take a quick dip when at an anchor.

Wider’s new flagship Moonflower is an entirely different animal than its previous yachts. Maggi acquired the company in 2019, and his current business plan includes increasing the range and, with it, annual production.

It has to be said that both generations of wider owners have an interesting take on pools. Moonflower’s on-deck pool features a hydraulic mechanism that raises the teak bottom flush with the deck when the pool is not in use.

The yacht also has Wider’s hybrid propulsion system, with two variable-speed generators, a sodium-nickel battery bank and an energy recovery unit. “The hybrid system takes power from both the battery pack and the diesel generators independently, which is different to a system in which the power is only taken from a diesel generator and goes directly to an electric engine,” says Maggi. “Less consumption, less pollution, lower costs, less maintenance and a significant reduction in noise and vibration—these are the main benefits of our system, together with the freedom to cruise in protected natural areas.”

The Ancona builder has staked its brand reputation on moving towards sustainable, all-electric yachts. Unlike the one-off hybrid propulsion found in custom yards, Wider plans to take a serial production approach to electric power with all of its yachts. Besides the 150, it also some eclectic designs like the Widercat 92 catamaran (which has another foldout beach area) and the more conventional Wider 165 superyacht. Other, larger designs are in the pipeline. Once technology catches up, says Maggi, Wider’s aim and mission is to provide 100-percent electric power.

For now, Moonflower will also be built with state-of-the-art sustainability. Pedol says “sustainable and maybe even vegan materials” will be incorporated into the interior design, though the company has yet to release any images. The Moonflower 72 is scheduled for delivery in summer 2025.

First among equals

The first WiLder 60 has been built for a European owner and her custom layout and finish has been completed to the owner’s exacting specifications. Coupled to the performance hull, which was developed by the naval architecture team at Wider Engineering, is an interior that features two twin guest suites amidships plus a forward owner’s cabin with inviting centreline double and starboard-side ensuite. Between the two is a saloon equipped with designer galley cabinet and a relaxation area with sofa and television.

Interior touches include luxurious leathers in contrasting shades of beige, marbles, brilliantly conceived lighting and beautiful gloss finishes that draw on Wider’s extensive experience building some of the world’s finest superyachts. The sumptuous and sensual textiles and textures hint at elegant debauchery – the very essence of the WiLder 60’s raison d’être.

Up top, the WiLder’s appeal to the wild side is clear -there’s a forward party deck, aft social deck with sunpads and alfresco dining area, and a starboard helm. From here, the owner will be able to fully enjoy the sparkling performance of the WiLder 60, propelled by twin MAN V8 1300 engines, achieving a cruising speed of 35 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. A 325-nautical-mile range ensures that no party is too far.

“The WiLder 60 is a seductress for those owners who want to experience the very best in everything – design, quality, and wild fun on the water,” says Marcello Maggi. “This is tailor-made taken to the next level in a model we think is transformative in its size bracket. The WiLder 60 was wild as a concept – the sort of challenge that Wider loves to embrace – but this first launch proves that we can build something beyond an owner’s wildest dreams, even at 19 metres.”

While the first WiLder 60 was launched at the Fano Vision Hub, where the testing of new models takes place, the WiLder series will be built at Wider’s Superyacht Hub in Venice, where two more bespoke WiLder 60s – each set to stun on their respective launches – are already in build.

The much-anticipated arrival of the first WiLder 60 also marks Wider’s second significant milestone in this 2024, following the launch of the WiderCat92, the brand’s first multihull. Both these striking additions to the Wider fleet are not only symbolic of engineering and design talent that lies within the company, but also of its path of growth from groundbreaking superyachts into all areas of the bespoke yacht market.
