HOLLYWOOD superstar Tom Cruise is staying aboard an incredible £32million super yacht as he holidays in Cornwall.
The 59-year-old’s incredible vessel - called the Triple Seven - was spotted sailing into the bay at Penzance last night as the actor travels around the stunning coastline.
Tom is currently enjoying a break from shooting the latest Mission Impossible film at the Warner Bros Studios in Hertfordshire, and on location around the UK.
The 68 metre yacht can host up to 12 people, as well as 17 crew members to wait on his every need.
It features a huge waterslide, a jacuzzi and various outdoor dining spaces, depending on where Tom fancies his dinner.
It is tastefully decorated inside with cream interiors and an impressively sized master bedroom.
Last month The Sun revealed that filming on the seventh installment of the film had ground to a halt once again after someone on set tested positive for coronavirus.
Some people pointed their fingers at the leading man himself, claiming they hadn’t seen him on set since.
An insider said: “Filming on Mission Impossible 7 is on hold again because of coronavirus. And this time, those working on the production have said they think Tom could be the possible cause of the postponement.
“Everyone on the set was told that filming was being stopped again because of a positive test. And since then, Tom hasn’t been on set once.
“Now people are speculating that he could have come into contact with the person who tested positive. And in some cases, people are even gossiping and saying it could be him.

Hollywood star Tom Cruise's mega-yacht was reportedly spotted sailing around the Cornish coast as the actor enjoyed a break from filming Mission Impossible.
The 59-year-old actor, who is currently in the UK filming the latest instalment of the action saga, is making the most of the scorching British weather as he stayed aboard a yacht called the Triple Seven, which is said to be worth millions.
The enormous 65-metre vessel reportedly costs around £32 million and boasts 17 crew members and a host of exciting toys such as a huge slide and jet skis. There is even kite surfing equipment and stand-up paddleboards on the incredible yacht should Tom fancy even more adventure.
Onboard, there is also a jacuzzi and lots of gorgeous outdoor eating areas as well as several luxurious bedrooms to relax in. Inside the vessel, there are cream interiors and a stunning lounge area with sofas and pillows.
Although it is unclear who had joined Tom on the yacht, the vessel has enough space for 12 guests.
According to Cornwall Live , the actor was spotted on the yacht before stepping onto the shore and jumping into a Mercedes with blacked-out windows.
Tom has been hard at work in the UK where he has been filming lots of dramatic scenes that will form part of Mission Impossible.
He has also been spotted at lots of high-profile events in the country including Wimbledon and the Euros.
Mission Impossible 7 and 8 are being filmed back to back but unfortunately have faced major delays due to the ongoing global pandemic as the movies attempt to film scenes around the world.
In the latest setback, last month's filming was thrown into disarray when a crew member on set tested positive for Covid-19.
It meant that filming had to be halted for safety reasons.
An insider speaking to The Sun said at the time explained: "Filming on Mission Impossible 7 is on hold again because of coronavirus . And this time, those working on the production have said they think Tom could be the possible cause of the postponement.
The source added: “Everyone on the set was told that filming was being stopped again because of a positive test. And since then, Tom hasn’t been on set once."
It also came seven months after Tom was recorded furiously screaming at crew members and accusing them of jeopardizing the film industry after they failed to adhere to strict Covid health and safety rules.
Despite the setbacks, it is understood that Tom is desperate to get filming completed on time as the film industry struggles to bounce back from several lockdowns.

Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise’s luxury superyacht has been continuing its trip around Cornwall by making its way up the north coast over the weekend.
CornwallLive reported last week how Mission Impossible star and Hollywood legend Cruise was reportedly spotted on a huge luxurious superyacht off the Cornish coast on Wednesday - with rumours he has travelled across the pond to work on a film with Simon Pegg.
Photos emerged of 'Triple Seven' - a huge luxurious superyacht - in Mevagissey Bay, and there are reports that Tom Cruise exited the vessel, before being "whisked away" in a black Mercedes.

The impressive yacht - which has an asking price of around €38,000,000 - has a whole host of impressive features including a water slide, wake board, knee board, fishing equipment, kite surfers, surf-skis, jet skis, stand-up paddleboards, and an inflatable water park - amongst other things.
Pictures then circulated of a man with a striking resemblance to 59-year-old getting off a boat in St Ives harbour, however it has not been confirmed if it was Cruise or a lookalike.
After leaving Mevagissey the Triple Seven made its way to Penzance .
It then continued its journey along the coast, stopping at Newquay Bay where local photographer Clare James photographed it in all its glory.
She said: “I am a professional photographer based in Newquay, this morning (Satuday) I cycled down Little Fistral for my swim and managed to snap a few shots of Tom Cruise’s super yacht in Newquay Bay with Watergate in the background.
“It was pretty impressive but did look a bit out of place.”
The yacht has since moved on again and been spotted around Padstow on Sunday.

According to Cornwall Live , Cruise was brought to shore by Triple Seven in the early hours of the morning, before being 'whisked away' in a chaffeur-driven black Mercedes.
The local publication also reported that a 'silhouetted figure' could be seen on deck at sunrise, however they were unable to confirm whether it was the actor himself.
As well as filming MI:7 in the UK, Cruise's appearance comes after a film crew moved into a quarry in Wiltshire, with many residents spotting A-list celebs in the area.

In the master suite the stylish and contemporary decor - which is believed to have been updated in 2014 - continues, with a huge bed covered in white bed linen and a beige leather chaise longues.
The boat sleeps up to 10 guests in five different rooms, including the stunning master suite, three double cabins, one twin cabin and two pullman beds (a bed that pulls down from the ceiling or folds out from the wall).
The outside living space is just as enviable, judging by the spacious hot tub which is submerged into the decking on the back of the luxurious yacht.
Tom has spent much of the last year in the UK filming the seventh instalment of the Mission Impossible franchise and has been pictured filming action-packed scenes in the Yorkshire Moors in recent months.
During his downtime, the screen star has also been pictured at several big events including Wimbledon and the Silverstone Grand Prix.
He was also seen mingling with David Beckham at Wembley Stadium for the Euro 2020 final.
Last month, Mission: Impossible 7 filming has reportedly been paused again due to a positive Covid test with crew members speculating it could be Cruise.
Despite there being 'no proof' to back up the idle talk, it has been claimed that people are gossiping it could be Tom, due to his alleged absence on set.

- Triple Seven can host 10 guests within her five staterooms, cared for by a crew of 17.
- She is fully kitted-out with a waterslide, jacuzzi, multiple alfresco dining areas and a lavish interior.
- Triple Seven travels at a maximum speed of 17 knots and cruising at 14 knots thanks to her twin diesel engines.
- The vessel's last-known asking price was €38,000,000.
MailOnline contacted Mission Impossible film representatives for comment at the time.
It is not known whether Tom has received the Covid vaccine or not, although despite being proven to dramatically cut the risk of coronavirus, none of the jabs approved in Britain are 100 per cent effective.
It means some vaccinated people will inevitably get infected without having any symptoms, leaving them unaware they are infected and contagious — unless they get tested.
In March, it was reported that Tom had surprised NHS staff to thank them for working though the coronavirus pandemic.
The movie star is thought to have secretly visited the ExCel Centre in East London to 'pay personal tribute to frontline health staff'.
A source told The Sun at the time: 'He told his team he wanted to pay his personal tribute to frontline health staff who have helped get movies back on track.
'They were really shocked to see such a huge movie star. Tom wanted to keep it a secret and ensure it was a nice surprise for them.
'The world had heard his rant at crew on set and that proved just how seriously he has taken the pandemic.'
MailOnline contacted representatives for Tom Cruise and the ExCel Centre for further comment at the time.
The ExCel Centre is a major vaccine centre with another part of the site being used for the NHS Nightingale Hospital's patient rehabilitation facility.
Elsewhere it was claimed that Tom was reportedly in a rush to finish filming Mission: Impossible 7 in only three weeks.
Thanks to several delays to the shooting schedule brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, there was said to be only 21 days left to get the film completed.
What a life: The outside living space is just as enviable, judging by the spacious hot tub which is submerged into the decking on the back of the luxurious yacht
A source speaking to The Sun claimed: 'Without them, Tom will be left scratching around for replacements. And if that wasn't enough, he has his own scheduling conflicts.'
The source added that as Top Gun 2 is released in November, Tom will have to begin promotional work for the movie soon.
While the majority of the next Mission: Impossible is already filmed, there was said to be one final big scene to do that involved a speeding train being driven over the edge of a cliff.
MailOnline contacted a representative for Tom Cruise for comment at the time.
Delays: Last month, Mission: Impossible 7 filming has reportedly been paused again due to a positive Covid test with crew members speculating it could be Cruise (pictured left in 2018 and right in October)

Tom Cruise holidaying on £32m super yacht off Cornwall coast - report
Tom Cruise is reportedly holidaying on a £32 million super yacht off the coast of Cornwall.
The Hollywood superstar was spotting sailing into the bay in Penzance on Wednesday, with The Sun revealing how he was taking in the stunning coastline of south-west England.
Cornwall Live reported that a black Mercedes had driven Cruise away from the vessel when it finished its trip in Mevagissey Bay.
The 68-metre vessel, called the Triple Seven, can host up to 12 people and 17 crew members.
It also has its own water slide, jacuzzi, and various outdoor eating spaces, as well as an impressively sized master bedroom.
In recent weekends, the Top Gun actor has made full use of being based in England, taking in the Wimbledon singles tennis finals, the Euro 2020 football final at Wembley, and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The 59-year-old is currently on a break from shooting the latest Mission Impossible film on location around the UK, including the Warner Bros Studios in Hertfordshire.
Last month, it was revealed filming on Mission Impossible 7 was halted due to coronavirus – and Tom Cruise has not returned since.
An insider told The Sun said: “Everyone on the set was told that filming was being stopped again because of a positive test. And since then, Tom hasn’t been on set once.”
In December 2020, an audio recording revealed how Cruise had told crew members to stick within the Covid-19 rules to prevent further hold-ups to production.

Marine / Super yacht linked to Tom Cruise arrives in Lerwick
A LUXURIOUS super yacht which has been linked in the media to Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has arrived at Lerwick Harbour.
Newspapers speculated that Cruise may have rented the Triple Seven yacht to take a break from filming a Mission Impossible movie in England.
However, an alleged sighting of Cruise coming off the boat in Cornwall in late July is thought to have been a yacht staff member who sported a resemblance to the movie star – leading to suggestion he may not actually be on board.
Nevertheless, the yacht is certainly a different sight in Lerwick Harbour in amongst the Dim Riv and the lifeboat.
It is reportedly is worth 38 million Euros and costs more than £400,000 a week to hire.
It arrived in Lerwick this morning (Monday) after sailing up from the west of Scotland.

Tom Cruise was nowhere to be seen despite the Hollywood star’s £33 million yacht arriving in Leith .
The Mission Impossible actor was said to be taking a break from filming the seventh instalment of the franchise in Hertfordshire by sailing around the East Coast of Scotland on the opulent Triple Seven.
Crowds gathered at Ocean Terminal to catch a glimpse of the massive boat after it docked, but fans were to be left disappointed as the 59-year-old was no longer on board.

Instead, mystery guests were whisked away in a blacked out Mercedes people carrier after crew members had given the vessel a clean.
Cruise had previously chartered the yacht to sail around Cornwall during time off from filming.
It arrived in Leith at around 10:15pm on Tuesday evening having left Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands last week.
Triple Seven was built by German shipyard Nobiskrug in 2006, and underwent a maintenance refit in 2016.
The 68-metre boat can host 12 guests within her six staterooms, cared for by a crew of 17. She is fully kitted-out with a water slide, jacuzzi, multiple alfresco dining areas and a lavish interior.
The yacht has a whole host of impressive features including a wake board, knee board, fishing equipment, kite surfers, surf-skis, jet skis, stand-up paddleboards, and an inflatable water park - amongst a host of other toys.
Estimates put Cruise's wealth at around $600 million - which is just as well as the superyacht can be chartered for an eye-watering fee of £460,573 per-week.
It was previously owned Russian billionaire steel magnate Alexander Abramov but is believed to have been sold to an anonymous buyer in recent years.

Inside Triple Seven superyacht ‘rented by Tom Cruise’ as stunning £33m boat tours Scotland

TOM Cruise's luxury superyacht has been seen touring Scotland.
We told two weeks ago how the £33m Triple Seven was in Greenock after being rented by the Hollywood superstar.
It has now been spotted off the cost of Fife, passing Anstruther yesterday.
Now, these stunning pics show inside the plush vessel, which Cruise had been staying on took a break from Mission Impossible filming.
It's not clear if the 59-year-actor is still on the boat.

The £32million superyacht can be chartered for an eye-watering fee of £460,573 per-week.

It's not the only superyacht to have been exploring Scottish stores in recent times, with the £60m Ragnar sparking excitement among Oban locals.
The 223ft boat caught the eye after being docked at the bay in Oban, sailing under the flag of Malta.

The impressive vessel is believed to be owned by Russian millionaire Vladimir Strzhalkovsky, a former KGB agent, but is up for sale, or can also be rented out at £382,000 per week.
The businessman, worth £300m, bought it for £69.5m.
In June, The Sun revealed that filming on the seventh installment of Mission Impossible had ground to a halt once again after someone on set tested positive for coronavirus.
“Obviously there is no proof of that but it’s not stopped people gossiping about it. It’s now become a joke on set, with people saying how ironic it would be if Tom was the reason they had to press pause again.”

Ligurian Riviera Yacht Charters
Also known as the Italian Riviera, Liguria Riviera yacht rentals are characterised by centuries-old architecture, historic landmarks, and craggy cliffs. Highlights of the Italian Riviera include Cinque Terre , a string of former fishing towns carved into the hills overlooking the sea. Nearby Portofino shares the same type of brightly-coloured buildings and is a magnet for superyacht charters.
Amalfi Coast Yacht Charters
Amalfi Coast yacht rentals are one of the most beloved cruising grounds in Italy. Also known as the Sorrentine Peninsula, the coast stretches from Naples to Salerno, covering towns such as Sorrento , Positano, Ravello and Amalfi. Islands including Capri and the Phlegrean archipelago (which covers Ischia, Procida and Vivara) are included in the Amalfi Coast. The region has limited beaches, but plenty to see and do onshore- you won't ever be bored on the Amalfi Coast!
The island of nearby Capri is steeped in culture, history and natural beauty. Explore the ancient villas, and discover the wonders of the legendary Blue Grotto.
Sardinia Yacht Charters
Located in the Tyrrhenian sea next to the French island of Corsica , Sardinia is hugely different to the Italian mainland. In contrast to the steep bluffs and deep sapphire sea of the Amalfi Coast and Italian Riviera, Sardinia is bordered by sugary sand beaches and crystal-clear bays.
The north-east coast of the island is the most popular for visiting yachts. For keen sailors, a voyage around La Maddalena archipelago can't be beaten- it's the same location where a number of prestigious regattas are held and it sits on the famous Costa Smeralda , which is well-known for its beaches and fantastic snorkeling opportunities. Porto Cervo is a luxury-lovers dream, with its high-end shops and designer emporiums close to the main port. Meanwhile, Olbia is the quieter sister of Porto Cervo, where you can while away the day wandering around museums and admiring the architecture.
Venice Yacht Charters
A cultural gem of Italy, Venice is a city that is primed for of art and theatre fans. There are countless museums and art galleries for you to explore during your visit, and while you can't cruise your yacht through the city's inner waterways, you can indulge in a gondola ride- and that's far more intimate and romantic!
Nearby, the island of Murano is famed for its production of unique hand-blown glass art, and makes the perfect stop for a day wandering the boutiques and galleries.
Yacht charters in Venice can also incorporate the beautiful neighboring destinations of Croatia into their itinerary. Speak with your yacht charter broker for more information.
An Italy yacht rental vacation offers an abundance of things to see and do. Here is our small selection of some of the most impressive:
Don't Miss:
- Chryst of the Abyss , an 8-ft bronze statue that stands 17m below the surface of the sea in Portofino, creating a popular diving spot.
- Fontelina , an iconic beach club set on the rocks in Capri.
- Villa Rufolo , a villa with beautiful, manicured gardens overlooking the sea in Ravello.
- Il San Pietro di Positano , a pretty hotel with an elegant terrace looking out over the ocean in the cliffs of Positano.
- The Faraglioni , a rock formation off the coast of Capri.
- Cala Goloritze , in Sardinia, a white-sand beach which is consistently voted one of the prettiest in Europe.
- Hotel Splendido , timeless hotel and SuperyachtSet hotspot in the hills looking out over the bay of Portofino.
- The Sunken City of Baiae , a small city that sunk into the sea during Roman times close to Naples.
- The Blue Grotto , or Grotto Azzura, a semi-submerged cave in Capri where the light refracts the sunlight from outside, creating a mesmerizing optical illusion.
From family-friendly fun to dazzling party hotspots, Italy provides it all. You can enjoy laid-back cruises or jam-packed island-hopping and finish your yacht charter with enough memories to last a lifetime.
With a rich history stretching back thousands of years, Italy has long been a pilgrimage destination for culture vultures across the globe, who come in their droves to absorb its beautiful architecture, fine art and iconic culture. From the colosseum in Rome and world-famous artists to its iconic fashion houses, the allure of Italy's rich history and culture is clear.
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to superyachts for charter in Italy, with one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the world for you to choose from.
Motor Yacht Charters in Italy
You can choose between a small, fast and sporty motor yacht , or a larger one with all the latest amenities; or something in between the two. Motor yachts with planing hulls are ideal for you if you want to zip between destinations quickly. They are sleek, sexy and ideal for speed demons. However, be aware that they consume more fuel and will be less stable at anchor.
Motor yachts with displacement and semi-displacement hulls are generally slower, but offer more space as well as stability at anchor. The largest yachts in the international charter fleet are all displacement or semi-displacement.
Sailing Yacht Charters in Italy
There are plenty of sailing yachts for charter in Italy. Choose between a high-performance ketch, a classic sloop or a catamaran for increased on-board volume.
The country’s west coast is better for experienced sailors who aren’t afraid of wind and swell. The east side is more relaxed, and you can easily incorporate some island-hopping around Croatia into your vacation.
With so many options available, there’s something to suit every type of budget in Italy. The average prices for motor and sailing yacht charter in Italy are as follows;
- An Italy motor yacht rental can range from $32,600 to $1.3m per week plus expenses
- A sailing yacht charter in Italy averages from $29,000 to $560k weekly plus expenses
Italy’s charter season runs between April and October. Peak season is in July and August, when the mercury’s at its peak and rainfall and wind levels are at their lowest. Savvy charterers looking to save some money should consider chartering a yacht in Italy during shoulder season, which is generally between April and May, and September and October. While these months aren’t as lively as peak season, you can still enjoy warm weather, fewer tourists, and less competition for slips.
Italy’s west coast is the most popular region for yacht charters, and most of clients will usually book a week or more in order to fully experience all that this slice of paradise has to offer.
Most yacht rentals begin in Naples with access to the most popular destinations like the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Sardinia . For yacht charters on the Italian Riviera, most people begin in Genoa .
You can browse our selection of tailor-made itineraries to help you choose the type of vacation that’s right for you;
Where to End a Italy Yacht Charter
The most popular destination for beginning or ending a yacht charter is by far and wide Naples , especially for the Amalfi Coast, thanks to its excellent international links and well-provisioned superyacht marinas.
While exploring Italy by yacht, you will find plenty of marinas that cater to a wide range of superyachts. This includes:
- Marina di Stabia is a luxury marina close to Naples, which caters to yachts up to 100m.
- Marina Molo Luise is a second option close to Naples, which caters to yachts measuring up to 140m.
- Porto Lotti , located in the Italian Riviera, caters to yachts of up to 100m.
- Darsena Fontanelle on the East Coast has a maximum capacity of 60m.
- Venice Yacht Pier , which has the capacity to host yachts of up to 120m.
Italy is one of our most popular destinations in the summer months. Therefore, advanced booking is crucial if you want to secure your perfect yacht, in your ideal destination on your preferred dates.
Your broker will also need plenty of time to tailor an itinerary to suit you, and enough time to book ahead for the nights you wish to spend in marinas. We recommened booking up to 3 months in advance to give your yacht charter broker the optimum time to organise everything down to the last detail.

Italy yacht charter itineraries.
Our wide selection of itineraries has been curated with the help of brokers and yachting experts to ensure each one is perfectly tailored for a luxury yacht charter. To make it easier to choose the right fit for you and your party, you can browse our itineraries based on the number of days you’re planning to spend chartering.
From Portofino to Positano and everywhere in between, Italy is home to a variety of charter hotspots. If you’re looking to explore one region in Italy, we recommend an itinerary that covers between 5-7 days. This will give you enough time to spend on shore discovering the delights of new towns and pretty villages, while also enjoying some down time on deck.
If you’re looking to explore two regions that aren’t far from each other (for example the Amalfi Coast and Sardinia) you should consider 7 days. Your itinerary can incorporate an overnight cruise to ensure you don’t waste a day underway.
For more than two regions, or if you’re looking to spend more than one night in any destination, you should consider an itinerary that is longer than 7 days. This will give you enough time to fully experience everything that this beautiful Mediterranean destination has to offer.
Italy is a vast country that covers many sub-regions, so be sure to consider this when browsing our itineraries. Many people will choose to start and end their vacation in Italy, but it’s also possible to incorporate neighbouring countries into an itinerary; a popular destination is the South of France, but you could also incorporate Croatia or Greece.

Italy Yacht Charter Q&A
Italy is one of the yachting capitals of the world, and certain regions are extremely busy during peak season.
You should start the booking process as early as possible, particularly if you’re looking to spend some nights in port. Marinas such as Marina Grande in Capri and Marina di Portofino are among the most in-demand in the Mediterranean, so be sure to let your broker know if you’d like to book a berth in either of these.
As with all popular travel destinations, Italy can be congested and touristy in the height of summer. Cultural sites and landmarks will always be popular attractions, but you can avoid the crowds by dining at exclusive restaurants and beach clubs, which you can find in our Points of Interest section.
In most European countries, VAT is charged on yacht charters. The percentage varies from country to country. Italy charges 22% on the cost of the charter, however, there are some instances where this can be reduced depending on time spent chartering in international (or non-EU) waters. Talk to your charter broker for more information.
If you’re looking to explore one or two areas of Italy, we recommend a 7-day itinerary. However if you’re looking to explore multiple regions of Italy, you should plan a longer itinerary. Luckily, there’s plenty of room for flexibility and longer and shorter itineraries can be arranged according to the needs of your charter party.
With a huge variety of yachts to choose from, there’s a charter yacht in Italy to suit every budget.
For a mid-sized motor yacht during peak season, you can expect to pay anywhere between $90,000 to $300,000 per week plus expenses during peak season.
You should be aware that the price displayed next to the yachts on our site are base rates, and do not cover additional expenses.
Additional costs include the cost of fuel, berthing, VAT, crew tips and food and beverages. You should factor these costs in and typically expect to pay upwards of 30 - 35% of the base rate on top of your charter fee.
To help you get an idea of the yachts that are available, you can browse ALL crewed yachts available for charter in Italy on our site. When you’ve chosen your perfect yacht, you can make an inquiry and a charter broker will be in touch.
They will take care of the booking process, and talk to you about what you want from your vacation so that they can provide you with an incredible experience down to the very last detail.
If you’re still undecided on the yacht that you want, that’s not a problem; your charter broker will consider your requirements and recommend a selection for you.
There are plenty of opportunities for sailing in Italy. The country’s west coast is ideal for experienced sailors who don’t mind wind and swells. Islands like Sicily, Sardinia, Capri and Ischia are all great locations for a sailing vacation. Meanwhile, Italy’s sheltered east coast is typically calmer, and you could even incorporate some island-hopping in Croatia.
Our clients typically book a yacht charter in Italy between June and August. However, the weather in certain regions is still pleasant as early as June and as late in the season as September.
In September in particular, the seas are warmer and there are far fewer tourists, so this could be a good time to visit if you’re looking for a more relaxed vacation.
Where you begin your yacht charter in Italy depends on where you want to charter. One of the most popular start destinations is Naples, which provides access to all the most well-known yachting destinations including the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Sardinia and the Italian Riviera (or Liguria).

Tom Cruise Is Intensely Private, But Here's What We Know About His Personal Life
Tom Cruise is truly larger than life (though a little below average in stature ) even by Hollywood standards. Any movie he stars in is virtually guaranteed to be a box office hit if not smash. In fact, taking in all box office numbers, foreign and domestic, you have to go back to the 1980s to find a movie that truly bombed.
Incredibly, Tom Cruise has made 18 films that have earned north of $100 million. The numbers are staggering, but what about the man behind the numbers? Let’s take a look, shall we?
How Tall Is Tom Cruise?
Tom Cruise is often called out for being short, and while he’s not tall, he’s also not the shortest guy in Hollywood either. At 5’7" in height, he’s taller than a lot of famous actors, like Daniel Radcliffe (5’5”), Michael J. Fox (5’4”), Scott Caan (5’5”), and Richard Dreyfuss (5’5”).
How Old Is Tom Cruise?
Tom Cruise was not born on the 4th of July, but he was born on the 3rd of July in Syracuse, NY in 1962, making him 56-years-old at the time of this writing. He's pretty fit for someone pushing sixty, too, and regularly still has shirtless scenes in movies.
Who Is Tom Cruise’s Wife?
Tom Cruise has been married three times. His first marriage was to Mimi Rogers, who introduced him to the Church of Scientology. They were married from 1987 to 1990 when he left her after meeting the woman that would become his second wife, Nicole Kidman .
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman got married in 1990 after meeting on the set of Day Of Thunder . They stayed married through the '90s, but eventually divorced in 2001. Kidman is now married to fellow Aussie Keith Urban.
After Tom and Nicole divorced, he began dating his Vanilla Sky co-star, Penelope Cruz (Cruise and Cruz), before breaking up with her in 2004, and shortly after, he began dating his soon-to-be third wife, Katie Holmes .

Sixteen years his junior, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise stayed married for six years before Holmes filed for divorce in New York State. Their relationship was often splashed on the covers of the tabloids, sometimes because of Cruise’s involvement in the Church of Scientology or sometimes because he was jumping up and down on couches with Oprah .
It's worth noting that before Tom Cruise married Mimi Rogers in the '80s, he was linked to a number of actress, all older than the young Hollywood heartthrob was at the time. He dated his Risky Business co-star Rebecca De Mornay briefly. He had a relationship with Bruce Springsteen ’s now-wife Patti Scialfa (before she and The Boss got together) and he also was linked to Cher for a short time, who was 16 years his elder.
Is Tom Cruise A Scientologist?
He is. Tom Cruise is almost as famous for being a Scientologist as he is for his movies. The two adopted children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman are as well .
He first joined the Church in the mid-eighties and has since become a strong advocate on behalf of it. The leader of the church, David Miscavige, was the best man at Cruise’s wedding to Katie Holmes and Cruise has spoken publicly often about his faith in Scientology. Tom Cruise is such an important part of the Church, Miscavige invented an award to give him , called the Freedom Medal Of Valor.
In 2008, a video of an interview with Tom Cruise that was intended to be for Church use was leaked to the internet. In the video -- which was edited to have the Mission: Impossible theme playing under his talking -- the actor makes a lot of wild statements that the Church claimed were taken out of context and they sued YouTube and others to have the video removed. YouTube eventually removed it, but it can be found on the internet still.
Before he started acting as a young man, Tom Cruise also briefly attended Seminary hoping to become a Catholic priest, but the acting bug caught and he left for Hollywood.
What Is Tom Cruise’s Real Name?
When he was born, Tom Cruise was named Thomas Cruise Mapother IV. He was named after his father, who Cruise didn’t not get along with growing up. When Cruise was in 6th grade, while living in Ottawa, Canada, his mother divorced his father and moved back to The States. Later, she remarried when Cruise was 16. Thomas Cruise Mapother III died when Tom Cruise was 22, just as Cruise really broke big in Hollywood.
A cousin on his father’s side is actor William Mapother, who starred as Ethan on Lost and has appeared in three films with Cruise himself, Born On The Fourth Of July, Mission: Impossible 2 , and Minority Report.
Does Tom Cruise Have Kids?
Yep. Tom Cruise has three kids. Two were adopted during his marriage to Nicole Kidman. Allegedly, Nicole Kidman was pregnant when he filed for divorce in 2000, but tragically she miscarried. She also reportedly had a miscarriage early in their marriage as well.
Six years later, in 2006, his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes famously gave birth to their daughter Suri. The tabloids and gossip sites went crazy and the world buzzed with the announcement. Vanity Fair published the first pictures of their baby and circulation reportedly jumped 60% for the issue. It was a BIG deal. More recently, the news hasn't been as good though, as it's been reported that Tom Cruise doesn't have much contact, if any, with Suri.
What Are Tom Cruise’s Kids’ Names?
His two adopted children with Nicole Kidman are, Isabella Jane Cruise, both in 1992 and Connor Anthony Cruise, born in 1995. The most famous of his children though, is the one he had with Katie Holmes , whose name is Suri.
Why Did Tom Cruise Get Divorced?
As noted prior, his first marriage ended in divorce to Mimi Rogers because he met and started dating Nicole Kidman.
Neither Nicole Kidman nor Tom Cruise have ever spoken publicly very much about their divorce in 2001. All that is really known is that it was Cruise that filed for divorce, using the nebulous “irreconcilable differences” reason in California.
Like his divorce from Kidman, Cruise has never talked much about his divorce from Katie Holmes, nor has she . Holmes filed for divorce in New York State, which has very strict privacy laws when it comes to divorce and custody, so everything is speculation, really.
So, those are the public details of Tom Cruise’s private life. As someone who has been on the front page of newspapers for almost 40 years, surprisingly little is really known about him. He’s a huge name, but an intensely private person.
Of course, there have been times where the absolute opposite of all of that is true, like when his daughter Suri was born in 2006.
One thing is still for sure – he is still box office platinum . He is one of the rare few actors in Hollywood that basically guarantees a huge box office number. That probably won’t change in anytime soon with the releases of the Top Gun sequel Maverick in 2020 and then two more Mission: Impossible movies in 2021 and 2022.

Tom Cruise split from his Russian socialite girlfriend in order to avoid issues with her outspoken oligarch ex, a source tells Page Six.
Following news that Cruise and Elsina Khayrova were dating , her ex-husband — the colorful international diamond trader, Dmitry Tsvetkov — gave a long interview to the Daily Mail detailing their marriage and warning Cruise to “keep his eyes and wallet wide open.”
A source tells us that the article worried the very private star’s team.
“He’s filming and can’t be shooting and have her husband saying stuff every time he is mentioned in the press,” a source told us. “They just didn’t want to deal with the ex husband coming up with something nasty to say every few weeks.”
Tsetkov — who reportedly prefers the term “tycoon” over oligarch — also somewhat unusually continuously fanned over Cruise during the interview, calling him his “favorite actor,” stating he has seen “Eyes Wide Shut” a whopping 30 times (and also loves “Rain Man” and “The Firm”), and added that he talked with a Hollywood producer pal about having Cruise play him in a movie about his life.
“I told the producer that the only actor who could play me is Tom Cruise,” quipped Tsetkov to the UK outlet. “We’re about the same height and weight and I would be honored if that could happen. I couldn’t think of anyone better to play me than Tom. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to meet him one day to discuss this project.”
Cruise has been making headlines as he currently films his eighth “Mission: Impossible” movie. The actor, 61, who known for doing his own stunts, was most recently seen sprinting through London for a scene.
The Sun reported that Cruise and Khayrova had split in late February with a source telling the outlet, “There are no hard feelings between them and, for Tom, their relationship simply ran its course.”
The wealthy Russian socialite is the daughter of a Vladamir Putin ally, Russian politician Rinat Khayrova.
Tsetkov, who has British citizenship and was reportedly on the Kremlin’s most wanted list in 2020, claims to have survived assassination attempts .
In the Daily Mail article, he also said he spent over $12 million on clothes and approximately $2.5 million on handbags for his ex during their 11 year marriage. He also claimed he lost nearly $200 million in the divorce.
Their split made international headlines as millions were in dispute, including a mansion in Surrey, England, five London apartments, a Bentley and a Ferrari, plus Cartier jewelry and artwork by Renoir and Chagall.
“Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious tastes,” he told the publication.
But we hear that Khayrova, 36, is still hopeful she and Cruise could rekindle their romance. “She didn’t do anything wrong,” says our source.
However, she doesn’t seem to be taking the breakup too badly. She has been Instagramming from the luxe Amara hotel in Cyprus this week.
On Thursday, she posted an image on Instagram Stories of herself saying: “A woman’s energy is reflected in her daily practice of loving, appreciating, and accepting herself, as well as recognizing her own worth,” with a heart emoji.
In another, a caption read, “Always in love,” with a heart emoji.
Khayrova and Cruise were first spotted together publicly at a party in December in London’s Grosvenor Square, and Page Six exclusively reported that they had met when a friend of Khayrova’s brought her to one of his exclusive Sunday tea parties at his Hyde Park penthouse.
“He has butlers and homemade cakes, and it’s all very British,” said our source at the time.
In June 2022, Page Six exclusively reported that Cruise was shopping for apartments in the UK after falling in love with London.
