Vessel Registration is the process where an approved new building or existing vessel is granted the privilege of Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) nationality and the right to fly its flag.

After successfully completing the registration process, the RMI Maritime Administrator (the “Administrator”) issues to the vessel a Certificate of Registry (COR), along with other trading certificates. The COR is proof the Administrator has recognized that the Registered Owner meets the legal requirements for ownership and that the vessel and manager meet the required RMI Administration standards. The Certificate of Registry entitles the registered owner to sail the vessel internationally with RMI citizenship recognized by other nations.

Registration Requirements and Document Submission

The documents required for all vessel transactions in the RMI may be obtained from a Regional Office and are also available from the Document Library .

All application forms and related documents may be transmitted by email to any Regional Office. The application forms and any other documentation required to be in the original must be delivered within five business days after their initial transmittal.

All applications and documentation for registration are subject to approval by the Administrator. Accordingly, the mere submission of an application for registration does not ensure that a vessel will be accepted for entry into the RMI registry.

Don Fung Fook

Don hails from New Amsterdam, Guyana, a town on the eastern bank of the Berbice River, just four miles upriver from the Atlantic Ocean. He grew up on the water, working and playing with his two sisters, brother and Dad on their 40-foot motorboat. Boating is in his blood. As a teenager Don moved to British Virgin Islands and landed a job with a company in public relations. However, he had a seafarer’s heart. When he was offered the opportunity to work on a superyacht he didn’t think twice, and he has been a happy mariner ever since. Don has sailed extensively throughout the Caribbean. He holds 200-ton Yachtmaster certification and 100 BVI ton Local Yachtmaster. His favorite yachting destinations are the British Virgin Islands for the phenomenal island hopping, Bequia and St. Lucia, Grenadines, for the beauty, serenity, great winds and amazing marine life. Don also loves sailing the East Coast of the US, with which he is intimately familiar having worked as an Engineer on a yacht in the region. Charter guests on S/Y BLUE STAR describe Don as easy going, fun, patient and reliable. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of the Caribbean and knows how to customize a charter itinerary per guest preferences. He lives by the credo, “live every day to the fullest”, which is why his goal is to make every day on charter extraordinary.

CHEF ROMA STOPFORTH Roma is South African, from the east coast in a place called Kwa Zulu Natal, translated - "the Kingdom of the Zulu! Cooking has always been a great passion and something she loves. She has owned her own restaurants in South Africa for many years, created and designed menus for family restaurants and fine dining restaurants and for opening Tapas restaurants as well. She took a leap of faith and desire to travel 7 years ago and moved to the beautiful Caribbean to explore new experiences and of course to chef on charter yachts, which she has found very fulfilling. She loves that she is able to design food especially for her guests on board. Her years of experience has given her the training and ability to cook almost any style of food requested and always interpret them to incorporate them into local fresh offerings. As she spent more time traveling the Caribbean she learned much of the beauty in the islands is beneath the water, so she completed her PADI dive masters a few years ago and is a frequent diver. Traveling and meeting new people is a very important part of her life in yachting and being a charter chef allows her to combine all these things and be grateful and fully enjoy the lifestyle she has chosen.. Roma loves to entertain and has a wonderful sense of humor she combines with a strong work ethic, always looking to give her guests a vacation to remember and share their rich experience of being on a BLUE STAR sailing yacht charter with her.

The Yuri A. Gagarin State Scientific Research-and-Testing Cosmonaut Training Center is a Russian training facility responsible for training cosmonauts for their space missions. It is in Star City of Moscow Oblast, a name which may refer to the facility itself or to its grounds. (Read more about Yury Gagarin Cosmonauts training center )

The secret Star City was built to train Soviet cosmonauts, including Yuri Gagarin, the 1st man in space. Many other famous Russian cosmonauts trained here with Gagarin: German Titov, Valentina Tereshkova, the first female cosmonaut, and Alexei Leonov, the first cosmonaut to exit the spaceship into space . The best facilities were built for them: the world’s largest centrifuge and hydro laboratory. Many cosmonauts from other countries (USA, Japan, Germany and many others) also have trained here together with Soviet Russian cosmonauts. On this Star (Space) City Tour you will see:

If it took Gagarin 1 year to get prepared, now it takes 7 years to become a cosmonaut, and 50 days to pass  security  check for foreign visitors.

Due to the security policy of the Centre, the guided tours are to be arranged in 50 days before the tour date. Last-minute arrangements are not available.

Out of the Centre

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
