Our All Star cast rest dockside right in front of our office and operations base. A few short steps after checking in we will be casting off lines and heading out to the turquoise seas and stunning beaches that you crave.

We have six main vessels ranging from 47’ down to 27’ all except one are catamarans, stable, comfortable, spacious and fast.

We can cater to large groups, small groups, families, friends, scuba divers, kiters, paddlers and everything in between. There are maximums for each boat. Some are best suited for adventure and distance (speed and comfort) while others are better suited for luxury. All are ideal for these islands.

MV White Sands

Luxury, larger groups (ideal 12- max 18) (non-diving).

White Sands 420 Africat is a beautiful 42’ long power catamaran powered by twin Yanmar 311’s. She has a 21’ beam, which means she is super dry and stable with loads of space, up front, up top, out back, even inside. There is plenty of shade, fresh water showers and marine heads (toilets). She is absolutely ideal for laid back luxury island boating. If anchoring off the world’s best beaches while you swim, chill and sun bathe or seeing our stunning reefs while you snorkel and cruising in between is your thing, then Whitesands is for you, your family and your friends!

MV Serenity

Luxury, high speed adventure (ideal 6/8 – max 12) dive (max 4-6).

Serenity is a stunning Intrepid 475 Sport yacht with 4 300HP Yamaha four stroke outboards. All 47’ of this beauty screams power, speed and comfort with head turning style. Intrepid are the market leader of sport yachts voted Boating Magazine’s “boat of the year” on numerous occasions. Power boating simply doesn’t get any better than this.

She has a fresh water shower, heads, beds, open air space and seating under shade as well as a beautiful spacious sundeck up front. Her innovative hull side doors and stepladders make getting back on board a breeze.

Smooth, quiet and precise, with a 14’ beam Serenity embodies Big Blue’s luxury adventure ethos – minimal time over distance in comfort and style. Whether diving, snorkeling or just cruising, the Serenity experience only adds to an already very potent mix.

MV Live & Direct

Adventure, versatility & speed (ideal 6/8/10 – max 14) dive (max 9).

Live & Direct is and has been the adventure standard bearer of the Big Blue fleet and the TCI for over 15 years. She has been loved, lived and modified. If she could speak, her stories would be some of the most epic adventure stories in the Turks and Caicos. Some are secret, many are well known. She has been just about everywhere, can go almost anywhere and can do almost anything. She is fast, she is dry and she is stable. In short there is unequivocally no boat like her. She is a one of a kind, unique in everyway.

At 40’ long with a 14’ beam with two 355HP Cummins, Live & Direct is an awesome power catamaran. Ideal for 6-9 divers, she is equally adept at exploring the Caicos banks with 10-14 snorkelers and freedivers or with kids jumping off her sides during our annual Kids Kamps. Racked and stacked with paddleboards during the October Kalama Kamp she explores shallow creeks and bays only accessible by boats half her size. No shower, but there is a head.

If you want action, adventure and fun, Live & Direct will deliver and then some. She is our beloved 4 x 4. Big Blue water born safaris are best reflected in her.

MV Kusi & Thundercat

Small group style and adventure (ideal 6 – max 10).

Our two 325DC dual console, twin 300HP Yamaha, World Cats are a class apart. They are stable, have loads of shade and fantastic seating areas, especially up front.

They are exc ellent cruising machines that allow for adventures near or far. These solid catamarans have amazing stability in all sea conditions and due to their shallow draft allow us access to beaches and coves across the islands and when chartered as a pair they are perfect for larger families or groups of friends who want to keep things simple on boats that allow access to all the cool spots.

JL audio systems pump the music. They have fresh water hose showers and marine heads as well (toilets) and both boats can be stocked with food and drinks as required.

MV Little Chill & Gracie

Small group style and adventure (ideal 4 – max 8).

Our two 295DC dual console, twin 300HP Yamaha, World Cats are a class apart.

They are go anywhere, do anything boats. Sunning, snorkeling, diving, cruising, island picnics or simple family fun. They bring you smoother rides, shallow drafts and greater stability even in rougher winter seas in comfort and at speed.

With comfortable cushion back seats up front for up to 6 people and cushioned seating in the back for 2-4, these two boats have ample space for 30’ vessels.

Perfect for small group and private charter diving (4-6 divers) as well as half day and full day boating trips up the cays or across the banks.

They both have heads, fresh water hose showers and when chartered as a pair they are perfect for larger families or groups of friends who want to keep things simple on boats that allow access to all the cool spots.

Small group style, adventure and speed (ideal 4 – max 6)

This 28′ Technohull powered by twin 400 mercury verados is a pocket rocket!

She is the latest addition to our fleet and brings an entirely different experience to the ocean. She is fast, seriously fast but due to her inflatable sides, she is also comfortable, turns on a dime while offering an unmatched thrill and exhilarating ride.

If covering distance over ground fast is your thing to check out cool beaches close by or remote islands and cays further afield, then look no further.

Skyfall is an experience all by itself. Simply riding her is probably half the fun. Knowing one can spend more time at the beach is always good to know.

Paddle Fleet

The foundations of our eco tours rest on racks by the waterfront right next to our base. With almost 50 kayaks and over 20 paddleboards ready and waiting for each and every kind of eco adventure.

Our Necky kayaks are available in single and double versions. While we also have a handful of sit on top kayaks as well. Coupled with our Werner paddles, kayakers can either head off on their own or join our hugely popular eco tours to explore and learn all about the mangroves and wildlife within the Princess Alexandra National Park.

Likewise our beautiful array of Naish and Imagine paddleboards together with Quickblade paddles allow users the exact same kind of freedom. Boards and kayaks are accessible and easily launched from our ramp. Guided tours and rentals are as easy as 1-2-3. See you soon.

While we focus and specialize on small groups, larger groups have numerous options from White Sands to taking more than one boat at the same time or as we have done for corporate bookings, the whole fleet!

Use our ideal as a guide to which boat might suit you best but bear in mind that if space is paramount then sizing up will be recommended. Our maximums are not really flexible. They are our insured maximums and depending on what activity or where you are going and who is with you, those numbers can either be just right or feel a little tight.

Destination

Location. location. location. It’s all about the destination From Fort George to West Caicos, French Cay to South Caicos or right around Provo – we can do it in style and comfort. All our vessels can pretty much go anywhere but some vessels are simply better suited to either open ocean, shallow water, short choppy seas or more importantly speed and therefore distance over time.

Very often vessels can get to the same places but due to size, especially draft, they can be limited in the route they take. Most important is access. Diving for instance doesn’t really have any restrictions whereas hidden bays, coves, mangrove inlets and outer islands are very often limited in their access due to shallow water. Our boats all have a low draft, some more than others, and are excellent at getting shallow.

All our boats except MV White Sands are geared up to be diving platforms, the larger the group the larger the boat. MV White Sands can be but this is an exception rather than the rule. Lady T and Little Chill are ideal for 1 tank dives during a private charter or for 4 divers doing a 2 tank dive.

Live & Direct is our bonafide dive vessel, perfect for 6-10 divers, with solid seated tank racks and a perfect dive platform. MV Serenity allows for 6 divers to really mix up diving with exploration, similar to Live & Direct with just added speed and luxury.

While Lady T & Little Chill can certainly get out there and explore, this arena is the domain of Live & Direct and Serenity. These two are made for adventure, exploration, early starts and late returns miles off the beaten path AWAY from the crowds in a way only Big Blue can deliver.

The 42.01m/137'10" expedition yacht 'The Big Blue' (ex. Imbros) was built by Troy Marine in Turkey at their Kocaeli shipyard. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Luiz de Basto Designs and she was completed in 2009. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Ugur Isik and she was last refitted in 2013.

Guest Accommodation

The Big Blue has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

The Big Blue is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Volvo (D16 MH) 739hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 4,300 nautical miles from her 58,999 litre fuel tanks at 11 knots. Her water tanks store around 18,998 Litres of fresh water. She was built to BV (Bureau Veritas) classification society rules.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
