GREAT EXPERIENCE! Fun and professional staff! We will be back! The staff made sure we had a great time and most importantly that we were safe!
I saw a sponsored ad on Instagram for this and immediately sent it to my friends. 5 of us booked a tub for a Sunday afternoon in July. Patricia and Chris were super welcoming and accommodating. The pre-trip lounge was swanky. My group was concerned about the tub water being too hot on a hot day... but Patricia assured us they take this into account and strive to make the temperature perfect - and she was right! The temp was truly perfect. We had so much fun cruising up and down the willamette listening to our playlist on the tub's Bluetooth speaker. This trip really exceeded our expectations and we would recommend for any group wanting to try something one-of-a-kind!
Captain on the stern side of the boat
Absolutely lovely! So fun and warm. Staff was super sweet and informative. It was a beautiful experience!
Your own private river boat party fiesta - what's not to love? Yacht Tubs makes for a fun, memorable easy-going-Wednesday or even a fun birthday party idea. We had a crew of 5, with plenty of space to drink and take in the gorgeous bridge views. The driving is novice level, and takes about 5 minutes to get the hang of. I love the Bluetooth speaker and the water stayed warm and comfortable during the entire two hours. Yacht Tubs has a great cute indoor space when you first arrive, with plenty of room to change, get comfortable, and store anything valuable before getting on board. We had the river all to ourselves on a slightly drizzly cloudy day - which ended up being pretty perfect for tubbin'.
Definitely a 10/10 experience! We were a group of 6 and had such a great time. The staff were super friendly and welcoming as soon as we came into the shop to check in. They gave us a run down of rules and things to expect and everything was said very thoroughly. The whole process was so smooth from checking us in and walking us into the dock. We had such a great time in the hot tub with our drinks, snacks, and our music connected to the boat's speaker. We will definitely do this again and recommend it to all our friends! I would definitely suggest getting to the shop to check in at least 20 minutes before your booked time (as stated in booking details) since other people in our party came late and we didn't get to have the full 2 hours but that was our fault. :)
I have never had so much fun on the Willamette River! Holy smokes! Yacht Tubs is where it's at. We had so much fun. Clear expectations, a welcoming staff, and a fun time. The temp of the water was perfect. The music system was bumpin'. We watched the Christmas Ships under the stars with the Portland skyline in the background. MAGICAL! Hil and Chris were so helpful and friendly and made the experience so much better. Hot cocoa at the made everything perfect! This is our new holiday tradition! Thank you!
My husband, friend, teenage son, and I booked a Yacht Tub on the last night of our 2 week Oregon vacation and the experience was a clear highlight of the vacation! Our booking was for 6-8pm on a Wednesday night in August. We arrived about 20mins early, as requested. There was ample parking nearby, reasonably priced. The Yacht Tub Club was easy to find - it was clean, well-equipped, and comfy. Allie greeted us and gave us a run-down of what to expect, and then gave us time to change and lock up our belongings. We brought a small cooler of drinks and a paper bag full of snacks - Allie gave us a soft cooler for the snacks since the paper bags tend to get wet and break (yep - we weren't thinking!). At the dock, Sean greeted us, helped us onto the boat, helped us connect our phone to the Bluetooth speaker, and gave my husband clear and easy instructions on how to control the boat. Allie and Sean gathered our coverups in an IKEA bag and our shoes in a bucket and loaded them into the dry storage area of the boat, along with our beverages and snacks. There was also a small dry box on the boat for phone storage with easy access (for taking photos and changing the music). Then we were off! We cruised down to Broadway Bridge, enjoying the unique view of Portland. Unfortunately, the steering went out when we got to Broadway Bridge and we were unable to navigate back. We called Allie at the number that was clearly provided on a laminated piece of paper. The first thing Allie asked was "Do we feel safe/are we in a safe location?" She shared that Sean would be down to help us ASAP and tow us if needed. Sean arrived and towed us back to the dock area - he was very professional and friendly, we enjoyed talking with him. When we arrived to the dock area, he gave us the option to drop anchor or tie to the dock to enjoy the rest of our 2hr time. Despite the minor hiccup, we still enjoyed our full 2hrs thanks to Allie and Sean being extremely professional, accommodating, and friendly. We highly recommend this experience and hope to do it again the next time we are in Portland!

We truly had a great time and would try this again someday for sure! The only issue was that our boat would not respond to the controls at all and would only turn left in circles no matter what we tried. E still enjoyed it and stayed close to the dock, but eventually we did have to call to get towed back in by the owner. They were very kind and responsive and getting towed back was easy, just wish the boat had worked so we could have explored the river a bit more.
So much fun! My friends and I had a great time, the weather was perfect and Patricia and Chris were amazing! We felt very taken care of and the facilities for changing were so well put together. They have 6 separate changing areas, a beautiful clean bathroom, and even offer drinks and snacks for purchase. We will definitely be back!
Really cool hot tub boat rental Yacht Tubs is awesome! You have to check out this really fun way to spend the day (or night) on the water. The staff are really easy going and helpful towards with the onboarding process. The Yacht Tubs are very easy to drive, making it a fun experience for anyone, even if you aren't a seasoned boater. This is the perfect place to go out with friends and celebrate any special occasion.

The best superyacht hot tubs in the world
Crescent 117.
Found on 35.6 metre Crescent 117 ’s top deck is a grand four-person jetted hot tub. Although it's on the highest level of the superyacht, the hot tub is nestled cosily in a corner - perfect for when the weather’s at its most torrid.
Directly opposite sits a bar and barbecue, so guests can sit back and relax while the drinks are being delivered.
39 metre Flexplorer Aurelia ’s sundeck isn’t referred to in the conventional way, rather, her top deck is affectionately known as “the private Jacuzzi deck”.
The owner wanted it to be a small, exclusive space on top of the boat. “The 130 has a very peculiar layout because they didn’t even want a sundeck – just a small portion open with a Jacuzzi,” said Cantiere delle Marche’s Vasco Buonpensiere. “They created an alcove, a cosy place up there for the two of them, so the crew can’t go there.”
Long considered an essential item on board any proper superyacht, a bubbling spa pool is a sure sign that guests are in for a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. We round up some of the best examples from around the world, starting with the sundeck centrepiece of Andiamo ...
This 47.6 metre Baglietto T-Line yacht boasts a sprawling superyacht sundeck that measures 140 square metres, offering chaise longues, armchairs, a bar area, games table and dining table. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the 2,200 litre glass-fronted pool, which is continually fed by a closed-circuit waterfall system that circulates water over a sloped pane of glass connected to the hardtop.

More about this yacht
Delivered by Gulf Craft in March 2017, 47.6 metre Sehamia epitomises luxury living on a superyacht. The central feature of her aft deck is the enormous oval spa pool, which is ingeniously filled by an on-board waterfall. This imaginative design means that, when in use, a curtain of cascading water pours between the saloon and the upper deck on its way to fill the pool, simulating the sounds of a tropical waterfall. Relaxing in the pool therefore creates an effect of synaesthesia, engaging all of the senses for a superior experience. The second hull in the Majesty 155 series, Sehamia can accommodate up to 18 guests plus nine crew members.
Most superyacht hot tubs need to be drained when cruising and refilled when moored up, creating inconvenient delays for those looking to take a quick dip. The waiting time is trimmed to just 40 minutes on the 49.6 metre Admiral superyacht Ouranos , whose fast-filling hot tub holds a massive 4,000 litres of water — that's the equivalent of 50 average-sized bath tubs.

Yachts for charter
Having a great view out from your superyacht spa pool is essential, and guests on board 55 metre Amels yacht Elixir get a view that is hard to beat. With glass panels on all sides, the panoramic vistas from this ideal relaxation spot are impressive to say the least.
This spa pool can also be covered up when shade is needed, and when it’s time for liquid refreshment the backlit onyx bar is only a few steps away. Currently available for charter through Y.CO , Elixir boasts accommodation for 12 guests with a crew of 12 on hand to cater for your every whim.

Few boats have dedicated so much space to creating a spectacular effect at night. The 49.99 metre Feadship yacht Highlander boasts a superior star-gazing setting – one of the best found on a superyacht – thanks to her Jon Bannenberg -designed exterior that boasts a hot tub, complete with a fountain and underwater multicoloured LEDs. With former guests including Elizabeth Taylor and Mick Jagger, you could (almost) pretend you're Hollywood royalty....
This spectacular sunken, yet spacious, wood panelled tub aboard the Sanlorenz o-built Lammouche is undoubtedly the centrepiece of this 44 metre superyacht. Accommodating up to 10 guests, this spa pool allows guests to unwind after a hard day’s sunbathing or simply soak up the endless panoramic beauty around them.
Sea Falcon II
Step down into the most stylish spa pool in the land. Flanked by luxurious cushions and lounge chairs, the hot tub area on 46m Puglia -built Sea Falcon II (ex Elle ) boasts multiple tables for al fresco dining and forward-facing helm seats on the sun deck for fantastic views while motoring into port.
The sun-worshipping setting aboard 30 metre Horizon yacht Reverie is spectacularly set off by the octagon-shaped Jacuzzi. The spa pool is flanked by picturesque deck chair loungers and parasols – and provides panoramic views of the ocean.
Take a look at the best superyacht hot tubs, including Crescent 117's sheltered nook sundeck and Polar Star's private Jacuzzi deck...

Charter A Yacht With A Jacuzzi Spa
Chartering a yacht with a Jacuzzi spa can offer the ultimate experience on the water, even to the most discerning charterers. Feeling the water jets massage your muscles while overlooking the bow of the yacht and the ocean beyond is the ideal full-body and mind therapy. Getting lost in the warmth of the water and leaving stress behind you can be one of the most cathartic experiences on a yacht.

Sailing Yachts
Sailing yachts commonly feature Jacuzzi’s, either on deck or below, where the tender garage doubles as the hot tub. Deck space can be limiting for such a luxury aboard a sailing yacht, but the yacht designers of today are creative, and have found ways to make it work. Lounging in the warm bubbly water of a sailing yacht with a Jacuzzi, with the wind whispering on your face is an invigorating experience.
Mega Yachts & Superyachts
With more deck space than sailing yachts, larger mega yachts often feature Jacuzzi’s that are raised on deck to offer 360-views of the ocean. Some mega yacht designers are crafty with their work, and can combine a Jacuzzi and bar on deck. This makes it more of a social gathering spot than just a place to unwind; this kind of set-up will likely be the main area where guests relax and socialize.
Because of their sheer size, gigayachts can have up to 6 decks, offering a lot more space to work with. Depending on personal choice, a Jacuzzi here may accommodate up to 12 guests, allowing the entire charter party to socialize together. These oversized spa tubs may also double as a pool. A yacht with a pool may seem extravagant , but then again, we are talking about yachts well over 300’ (91m). Some gigayachts feature a lap pool, where users can adjust resistance on an artificial current, resulting in a rigorous workout.
Beyond The Deck
Yachts offer endless luxuries and unimaginable experiences. In addition to a yacht with a Jacuzzi, some of the most popular yachts today might feature a Triton submarine , with which you can dive as far as a mile underwater and watch the fish glow from the comfort of your seat. What is your idea of the ultimate yacht amenity?

Floating Hot Tubs Offer Novel Way to Get Out on the Willamette River
By Sam Stites April 26, 2023 Published in the Summer 2023 issue of Portland Monthly
Yacht Tubs gives Portlanders a novel way to get out on the Willamette River without having to own a boat or get into the river itself.
Image: courtesy Yacht Tubs
When Alex Reed was growing up, he remembers seeing images of celebrities hot-tubbing on the front of their megayachts in posh locations like off the southern coast of France.
“They look like they had no care in the world. It looked awesome,” he says. “But I was short about $100 million to afford one.”
As an adult, Reed thought about how he might replicate that same experience and sense of relaxation but bring it to the everyday person here in Portland. That led him to create Yacht Tubs—boats that have been converted into six-person hot tubs you can rent along Portland’s South Waterfront .
Reed says he enjoyed sailing on the Willamette River as a kid and noticed that options for the average person to get on the water are slim. He wanted to change that, but also infuse a bit of luxury.
His company, Yacht Tubs , builds its own boats right here in Portland. They look like small wake boats that sit super low in the water. Instead of regular seating, passengers soak in a jetted hot tub with plenty of space for six to stretch out. Their under-10-horsepower electric outboard motors are nearly silent, and they allow any guest age 21 and up to drive without needing a boater’s license. That means you can move up and down the Willamette to see the sights while relaxing and enjoying a snack or beverage. Instead of steering wheels, the boats have a joystick-like controller and throttle that are easy to use for those who haven’t driven a boat before.
They even have Bimini tops for shade from the sun or cover when it’s raining, as well as built-in stereos so guests can bump their own tunes.
“People have the biggest hurdle of getting over what it is. They understand a hot tub, they understand a boat, but the combination of the two, of being in water, on water, I think is kind of a new experience,” Reed says. “People have discovered us and just been absolutely amazed and astounded about why they have not seen this or done it earlier.”
The company started rentals in summer 2021 and currently operates two boats out of its “Yacht Club” storefront based on S Montgomery Street, just a couple of doors down from McCormick & Schmick’s Harborside restaurant. The club was recently renovated to include 1,500 square feet of nautical-themed space where customers can lounge, change into their swimsuits, rent towels, and purchase add-ons like Epsom salts and nonalcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks are allowed; just make sure your captain doesn’t drink any booze (that’s illegal), and don’t bring any glass containers.
Yacht Tubs is in the process of adding more boats as summer approaches and bookings fill up, particularly around holiday weekends and big events like the Rose Festival and the Waterfront Blues Fest.
Reed says the service is also gaining popularity in what might be considered boating’s offseason, especially for events like the Christmas Ships in December. Tub temps are adjustable, allowing guests to go warmer in the cold, or down to pool temperature in the summer when it’s hot. That said, for the full south-of-France yacht fantasy, setting sail on a sunny summer day is hard to beat.

The hot tub boat is equipped with an internal heating and circulation system to keep the water at the right temp, along with a UV and saltwater filtration system to keep everything clean. There is also a ladder on the side that you can use to get in and out of the tub.
Kanwetz and his team say the Spacruzzi also epitomizes American-made luxury. Each hull is built in either Nevada or Montana using local materials and suppliers. Crafted predominately from fiberglass, the teardrop-shaped vessel can be tailored to each owner’s tastes. There are various high-end finishes available, as well as custom hull colors and decking. You can also opt for extras, such as shade towers, floating drinks caddies or underwater lights, to further distinguish your vessel.
The team says Spacruzzi has received approvals to operate in some of the most heavily regulated bodies of water in the US. The vessel is suited to either personal or commercial use.
“Since we launched, we’ve seen immediate growth in both our rental and direct-to-consumer sales and this is continuing to grow,” Kanwetz said in a statement. “As you begin to see more rental operations popping up, we expect the awareness of the product to grow on the national level as more people see that this isn’t just a novelty item, but an experience that can’t be matched on the water.”

This was one of my favorite experiences ever. It was a beautiful view everywhere we looked, and the hot tub is the perfect temperature and the most comfortable. It’s a heavenly experience being on a boat while in hot water while the sun beams down. It’s among two of my epic hours I’ve spent. And the crew, were so sweet and nice and professional and helpful. They really made us feel taken care of and relaxed. I highly recommend doing this.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
