A Pandemic Conversation with Space Yacht

Space Yacht Interview - Henry and Rami

Space Yacht founders Henry Lu and Rami Perlman talk about their new label, Tech My House, Vol. 1 , taking risks, and so much more.

Southern California staple Space Yacht is a trailblazer in the growing dance music community. Since its inception, founders Henry Lu and Rami (LondonBridge) Perlman continue to invest their all in the brand. What started out as a weekly party turned into innovation over the last six years and they clearly don’t have their sights on slowing down anytime soon.

Just like everyone else in the world, the pandemic flipped the switch on all their plans for 2020, but that didn’t stop Lu and Perlman from making magic. To keep Space Yacht connected with the community, they turned their attention to the internet. Platforms like Twitch provided a new space for them to try new things that included their Tune Reactor show, which led to the launch of their label as well.

Back in January, Space Yacht hit a major milestone with their new label, releasing their first compilation, Tech My House Vol 1 , which featured a number of artists selected through Tune Reactor. The compilation is a masterpiece that represents the brand at its core values – to push dance music forward and celebrate the culture and its people. During this time, they also embarked on another new endeavor crypto art , and it’s taking off like no other. For those who don’t know, their second collection sold out in three minutes. Three minutes!

You can’t ignore the hustle, the drive, and passion these guys have. I had the pleasure of chatting with Lu and Perlman, and from the moment Zoom connected, they welcomed me with a big smile and high energy. Within seconds it felt as if I knew them for years, and we talked about everything including their record label, tasking risks, brand identity, and so much more.

In the end, I learned that Henry is a Gemini and Rami is a Pisces— a wild yet effective combination, but it makes sense if you’ve ever interacted with them. I left with nothing but respect for everything they do, how forward-thinking they are, and how much they love the community. Their intentions are genuine and it’s refreshing to see. As a result, it turned me into the biggest Space Yacht fan, so listen to Tech My House Vol. 1 below and read on for the full conversation!

Stream Space Yacht’s Tech My House Vol. 1 on Spotify:

Hi Henry and Rami, congratulations on the Tech My House Vol. 1 compilation. It’s so good! Can you tell us what inspired the compilation? And the process of getting it done in a pandemic world?

Henry Lu: Pre-COVID. Rami and I were in the office, coming up with, as we usually do, a theme for the night. The lineup happened to be tech-house, and I think it was either Rami or myself who threw out the punchline, “Well, you can tech my house,” [laughs], and then Rami said, “Yo, that is what we’re going to call the party,” and it’s the name that stuck.

Rami Perlman: Yup. [Laughs]

H: [The Tech My House Vol. 1 tracklist] is kind of the typical lineup for a Tech My House party, which was the nexus of the name. You know how Space Yacht does it; we’ll mix in buzzing new names and top-tier secret guests. Those opener sets are super important. It’s not about just, “You sold the most tickets, and there you go, here’s the set.” It’s like, are you making art? Are you forwarding a great message to your community? That’s just kind of our DJ booking philosophy.

Naturally, the artists who would have filled our lineups became the roster for our label.

R:  For the last five years, we have amassed this kind of tribe, so to speak. And it’s deeper than just a fan base. Henry and I were at the Space Yacht residency every Tuesday. We know these people, [and] if we didn’t do something to stay creative, then very quickly people forget, and we didn’t want to lose that connection.

Twitch started the A&R process for the label, so when talking about Tech My House , our Twitch show is like a demo review and reaction show.Very quickly, we started getting all this great music, and that became the funnel for this compilation. Where if you look at the tracklist, I would say 70 to 80% of what’s on this compilation are either artists we knew but hadn’t necessarily booked yet, or got to know better through the Twitch show.

We have always stood up for the new person, you know, the person who has been working their asses off in their bedroom and want to play their first show and their music. To Henry’s point about the booking process, the music starts first. And we always were like that when we booked our shows. About 80% of [the Tech My House tracks] came through Tune Reactor, meaning we heard it for the first time live on air. And then we have this process of bookmarking it if we like it, and then we separately listen to [the track] on our big speakers.

How important is the experience of the music for you guys? How big of a role does that play in what you try to listen for on Tune Reactor?

H: We’re music first, and it always starts there. But it doesn’t end there. And the must itself doesn’t exist in a silo. During the first year of Space Yacht, part of the entrance experience was [that] you go through this kind of grungy alleyway that was converted into a mini garden, and the legendary Space Yacht smoking patio started there. The idea of a smoking patio is “the hang” where people want to get out of the immediacy of the club, the music, and just step out and talk, it became a trope within the Space Yacht world, I suppose.

All these little things add up to not only the experience but the story, you know, the loreof Space Yacht, like what are these things that are super intangible, but yet still highly impactful. Going into COVID, the music now impacts the way I live my life in the living room. I now have time to listen to hour-long podcasts and albums from start to finish. We are signing music that can reach into people’s lives, you know, a bit more impactfully and positively.

R: I want to call out the closing record by Ocean Roulette and Burko. It’s called “Tribes” and Ocean has been a friend of ours, he’s played Space Yacht countless times. When we heard that record on Tune Reactor, Henry and I both were just like, “this is in the desert 5 AM sunrise, with your family, your crew, who are your family, and that best feeling.” And I said, “That’s how I want to close out this compilation with that.” It’s the end of the journey.  We really feel like it’s a great reflection of the Space Yacht community of producers, these producers are the people who come to our shows who have played our shows who have followed us, and all these people are part of our world.

Space Yacht Interview - Henry and Rami

In my humble opinion, Space Yacht is an innovative, fearless, and disruptive brand in the best way possible. From your point of view, what does it mean to take a risk? And what lessons have you guys learned over the last six years together?

H: It’s so bizarre. It’s the first time we’ve been asked about this.

R: Yeah, yeah, it’s a great question.

H: In a way, we’re taking risks every day, putting it upon ourselves to experiment with new things. There is an element of adaptation. A lot of the things we did in COVID—the crypto art, the label, the YouTube and Twitch launch—are things we would have done eventually . But that’s a little bit different from saying, “You have to do this within two weeks. It’s COVID now.”

H: You gotta do it now , and you gotta figure it out.

R: Right, that’s right.

H: All of a sudden, Twitch has become pretty big for us. E-commerce is amazing. Crypto is amazing. Nine months ago, we would have thought, “Why the fuck are we doing this? This makes no sense.” Some might even say it’s not contributing to music culture, but once again, back to the idea and the philosophy that music doesn’t exist in a silo, right? Art helps carry this culture and sound forward as a vessel.

R: What I will say is that every day we take risks. But we have the ability to take calculated risks because of the amount of time we’ve been doing [this]. Taking risks is basically what our brand was founded on.

Can you talk more about crypto art? What inspired you guys to pursue that endeavor?

R: I think the dance music community is about to see it everywhere, so this might be new to you, but in two weeks, it’s going to be everywhere. The way that crypto works is that it’s called an NFT. It’s a token that lives on the Ethereum blockchain. Prints, visual artists, and musicians are now starting to make limited edition collectible things, and NFT takes the place of the signature, [and] it’s the thing that authenticates the piece you’re buying.

So when you bought a Space Yacht piece of crypto art of the skeleton twerking and eating pizza, the way that you know you own it is that you bought this token, this NFT that’s connected to that piece of work. What we’re excited about is how that can apply to records. It’s kind of like a limitless edition, where you can enjoy it as a music listener, which is first and foremost, but what if you’re a sneakerhead? or an art collector? or a Pokemon collector? It’s new stuff for us. We’re really, really loving it. Just like the apparel, just like our shows, these are all expressions of our brand. These are all ways that Henry and I are creative and express our creativity.

Space Yacht Crypto-Art

Can you tell us about how your previous social media marketing experience helped with the Space Yacht brand?

H: We come from a space where we spoke this language, having worked in marketing and social media.

Rami is a creative connector. He’s known for the “blue sky” exercises as if we were thinking about random ideas without limitations. And my way of manifesting my past experience is all about power and leverage. That is, how do I leverage what’s available on the internet or social media (or whatever thing that’s out there) to deliver a message and be creative with it?

R: I think the biggest thing for us out of that social media job is that we met each other. Yeah, we learned stuff, and we did cool things, but I also think the real learnings in marketing and brand awareness today have come from Henry and I just working every day together

In closing, what are some things you’re planning to do when we are all able to come back together again?

H: You know, to be honest, we’ve been so focused on trying to see how we can explore the different things we’ve always wanted to do. There will be a time when we make this transition back into real life, and we’ll have to address and go above and beyond to make people feel safe and actually be safe. When we start converting back to “real life,” many people are going to feel different types of ways about what’s OK and what’s not, and that’s just how it’s going to be for at least a year, maybe even two years— because we’re mentally prepared for that, we’re ready to take it slow, and look at the steps, how do we approach it the right way?

R: We’re probably at the bottom of the totem pole because we’re not known as an open-air party. We’re not a festival. I think Henry said everything that I want to say. What I’m looking forward to is that first time at Sound, where I can get on the mic once it’s safe(or Henry can get on the mic). We are at Space Yacht, we are all together, and let’s just live our best lives.

Here's What Your $5 Billion Space Yacht Could Look Like

this image is not available

Spencer's proposed space super yacht Destiny is designed to cruise in Earth's orbit, offering a striking view of our planet. In illustrations, the 300-foot-long ship cuts a remarkable profile—its bulbous body seems almost butterfly-like, with its four sails outstretched like wings in midflight. Like PayPal Galactic, Destiny is an idea for a market that doesn't exist yet. Still, this image of Destiny offers a glimpse into John Spencer's vision of spacefaring luxury, one he's been working toward for decades.

"We're getting into things that have probably never ever been thought of before from a real world perspective," he says. "All the things we take for granted we have to redesign."

For Destiny, this includes how the beds will be designed to prevent passengers from drifting away in their sleep, and how dining rooms will be laid out so food won't float away. Even the material Destiny will be made of has yet to be invented. While many of his designs seem to be far-fetched today, Spencer is hopeful that the space yacht will be real and in orbit within 15 years.

The ship's hull will be made of a dozen spheroid inflatable sections, which will be expanded and fused together in orbit. Destiny is meant to stay in space after being built and never reenter Earth's atmosphere, so the body sections must maintain their shape and integrity in the vacuum environment of space over the course of the yacht's life.

Spencer, a space architect and designer by trade, wrote in his book Space Tourism: Do You Want to Go? that spherical structures are ideal for space because their symmetry makes them stable and strong. Each section will have an interior webbed support that will limit how far it can expand.

"The sections of the yacht, some of them are just large volumes, some of them have multiple rooms, it depends on where you are," Spencer said. "Aft is for crew quarters and storage, front is for entertainment."

Power and Propulsion

Because Destiny will be an orbital yacht, it will not need the massive engines and large fuel reserves required to escape Earth's atmosphere. In fact, it won't have an engine at all. The ship will be outfitted with maneuvering modules with thrusters. The modules, which will be 2-feet deep, 2-feet wide, and 4-feet long, will be positioned strategically along the hull. Should the ship need to maneuver to avoid space debris or another ship, the modules can be operated wirelessly from the bridge. Spencer says that he is exploring the use of flywheels to power the thrusters.

In fact, Spencer envisions his space yacht as totally wireless. There will be no single power distribution system—long-life batteries will power all of the ship's 300 to 400 electrical devices. Each water and waste-management unit is self-contained with its own recycling, purification system, and reserve water supply. "[It] frees the designers to get pretty outrageous in terms of design because you're not dealing with strict plumbing and electrical," Spencer says.

As the batteries run out of juice, they will be brought to a charging station by a small army of service robots. The bots will also monitor the water and waste-management systems.

this image is not available

Destiny's four distinctive sails are more than ornamentation. They'll double as solar panels, absorbing the light and heat from the sun and using some of the power generated to charge the batteries onboard, while dissipating the excess. Spencer doesn't know what the material he'll need for Destiny's sails or hull will actually look like. Undeterred, he has dubbed the yet-to-be-discovered material Futuretanium. No word yet whether it will be an alloy of unobtanium.

Float Sphere

Passengers will be able to enjoy the benefits of zero gravity in the orb situated in the middle of Destiny's hull. The 60-foot-wide float sphere will offer 120-degree views outward and toward Earth. Spencer describes it as a "big friggin' open space where you can really experience zero gravity" and float around. "Living in zero gravity is the most unique experience you can have going to space," he says. "That's why the float sphere is such a prominent aspect of Destiny's design."

Creature Comforts

Destiny wouldn't deserve the classification of super space yacht if it didn't come with a few space-age amenities. Airflow will be monitored by mobile airflow compensators, or "bugs," that will silently follow passengers around to keep the air comfortable, dispensing hot or cold air as needed and responding to voice commands.

In Spencer's vision for the ship, Destiny's hospitality staff will offer massages, chefs will be brought on board to provide meals, and astronomy experts will explain to passengers what they are seeing as the gaze out the viewports.

There will even be a floating hot tub in the float sphere, though an orbital spa won't look quite like its earthbound counterparts. Spencer's plan for the "Hot Sphere" involves a layer of water surrounding a mechanical sphere, which heats the water and sprays bubbles. No solid outer layer is needed since water naturally forms a sphere in zero gravity. Gyroscopes will keep the mobile Jacuzzi in place.

And Finally, Price

All this innovation will be expensive. Anyone looking to buy a Destiny-class space yacht will have to cough up a cool $5 billion to $6 billion. It's enough to make the six-figure price tag people are paying to book a seat on the first suborbital tourism flights look like a bargain.

Why the name "Destiny," anyway? Spencer had two reasons: "It was literally my destiny to work on these things. Plus anyone who is going to spend five or six billion bucks on one of these things is going to have a bit of an ego and will want a cool name."

Cosmic explosion will be visible to the naked eye in once-in-a-lifetime stargazing event

Artist's concept of a star system featuring a white dwarf "stealing" matter from a companion star. After enough material accumulates, a white dwarf can erupt in a nova explosion.

A rare cosmic eruption is expected to occur in the Milky Way in the coming months — an outburst so bright that a “new” star will seemingly appear for a short time in the night sky.

The event, known as a nova, will be a once-in-a-lifetime skywatching opportunity for those in the Northern Hemisphere, according to NASA , because the types of star systems in which such explosions occur are not common in our galaxy.

The stellar eruption will take place in a system called T Coronae Borealis, which is 3,000 light-years away from Earth. It contains two stars: a dead star, also known as a “ white dwarf ,” closely orbited by a red giant . Red giants are dying stars that are running out of hydrogen fuel in their cores; the sun in our solar system will eventually become one, according to NASA.

In systems like T Coronae Borealis, the two stars are so near to each other that matter from the red giant is constantly spilling onto the surface of the white dwarf. Over time, this builds up pressure and heat, eventually triggering an eruption.

“As matter accumulates on the surface of the white dwarf, it heats up and you get higher and higher pressure until bang — it’s a runaway reaction,” said Bradley Schaefer, a professor emeritus of physics and astronomy at Louisiana State University.

He likened the nova explosion to a hydrogen bomb detonating in space, adding that the resulting fireball is essentially what people will be able to see from Earth. (A nova is different from a supernova explosion , which occurs when a massive star collapses and dies.)

At its peak, the eruption should be visible to the naked eye, Schaefer said: “It’s going to be bright in the sky, so it’ll be easily visible from your backyard.”

Astronomers predict that the nova explosion could happen anytime between now and September. The last time this particular star system erupted was in 1946, Schaefer said, and another eruption will likely not occur for another 80 years or so.

Astronomers around the world are monitoring activity in the T Coronae Borealis system. Once an eruption is detected, Schaefer said, the best and brightest views will likely come within 24 hours, when it reaches roughly the same brightness as the North Star. The outburst may remain visible to the naked eye for a couple of days before it begins to fade.

Even after it dims, skywatchers will likely still be able to spot the eruption for around a week using binoculars, according to NASA.

The constellation Corona Borealis appears as a small arc near Bootes and Hercules.

The T Coronae Borealis system is normally too dim to see unaided, but skywatchers can find the outburst by locating the constellation Corona Borealis, or the Northern Crown. The constellation will appear as a small, semicircular arc between the more widely recognizable constellations of Hercules and Bootes.

Schaefer, who has done extensive research on the T Coronae Borealis system, said it’s worth trying to catch a glimpse.

“This system happens to have a recurrence time scale under a century, but most of them have cycle times longer than 1,000 years or so,” he said.

In a paper published last year in the Journal for the History of Astronomy , Schaefer discovered two “long-lost” T Coronae Borealis eruptions in historical records — one documented by German monks in the year 1217 and another seen by the English astronomer Francis Wollaston in 1787.

“These monks near Augsburg, Germany, didn’t know what it was at the time, but they highlighted the eruption as being one of the two most important events of the year,” Schaefer said. “They called it in Latin ‘signum mirabile,’ which translates to ‘wonderful omen.’ It was thought to be a good sign.”

But pinpointing the exact time when skywatchers will have a chance to see this “wonderful omen” is tricky business.

“It could maybe even happen tonight,” Schaefer said. “More probably it’ll be within the next couple of months, and very probably before the end of summer.”

Billionaires going to space aim to industrialize the moon, asteroids, and Mars. It's time to set some ground rules.

  • Billionaires, like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, and their space businesses are racing to the moon.
  • A few treaties have set norms for space exploration between countries, but there are no hard rules.
  • As entrepreneurs plan asteroid mines and Mars settlements, it's up to governments to set some ground rules.

Insider Today

The space business is in bloom and, so far, it's largely unregulated.

A commercial spacecraft touched down on the moon for the first time last month, in a NASA-sponsored mission by the Houston-based company Intuitive Machines.

Then last week, SpaceX's Starship mega-rocket finally launched into space and cruised above Earth without exploding.

Both achievements were major leaps forward for NASA's new moon program, which aims to return astronauts to the lunar surface using Starship. In fact, NASA's biggest plans — to replace the aging space station, establish a permanent base on the moon, and send astronauts to Mars — depend on companies like SpaceX or Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin .

But the billionaires helming those companies have even bigger plans.

Elon Musk has said he plans to fly 1,000 Starships to build and populate a city on Mars. Bezos envisions a trillion people living in giant space stations across the solar system.

Other space startups have ambitions including asteroid mining, in vitro fertilization (IVF) in space , and space hotels .

What's to stop companies from putting giant advertisements on the face of the moon? Or industrializing craters that scientists want to use for telescopes ? Or mining a single asteroid for $100 quintillion worth of precious metals, bringing it back to Earth for sale, and destabilizing the global economy? What will keep the budding deep-space industry in check?

"There isn't anything specifically enforceable," Mai'a Cross, a professor of international affairs and diplomacy at Northeastern University, told Business Insider.

There are no laws or regulations for moon landings or asteroid mining. As space startups and billionaires vie for a foothold on the moon and beyond, experts say governments probably need to start setting some ground rules.

"We're going to have to figure out how we want to operate, what rules we want to live by, and what the framework is going to look like," George Nield, former associate administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration's Office of Commercial Space Transportation, told Business Insider.

The new space economy needs room to grow

NASA doesn't want to run the show anymore. Instead, NASA wants to be one of many customers leasing spots in private companies' rockets, spaceships, space stations, and lunar habitats.

"We want to really try to grow the lunar economy and have these companies be successful," Joel Kearns, deputy associate administrator for exploration at NASA's Science Mission Directorate, said in a press briefing ahead of the Intuitive Machines mission .

So far, the US government has deliberately avoided regulating the emerging space economy, for fear of suffocating it before it takes off.

The FAA is quite active in regulating passenger safety on airplanes, for example, but has no rules for spaceflight passenger safety , even as Blue Origin, SpaceX, and Virgin Galactic fly tourists to the edge of space or around the planet.

"We do need much more regulation than currently exists," Cross said.

"It is also in the interest of the private companies to call for this regulation sooner rather than later, because they don't want to start investing and taking action on things that, down the road, will be deemed illegal," she added.

For now, only a handful of international agreements outline what is and isn't acceptable in space, and they have no teeth.

Space treaties help, but they aren't enforceable

Space diplomacy started with the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.

Among other things, the treaty asserts that nobody can claim territory or sovereignty in space, nobody can put nuclear weapons in space, and that states are responsible for the space activities of even their non-government actors — such as companies or nonprofits.

"It's a pretty strong agreement. But like most international law, there is actually no significant way to enforce those norms," Cross said.

In 2020 NASA introduced the Artemis Accords as a fresh agreement for the new lunar exploration era.

Signed by 36 countries so far (but not Russia or China ), the Accords call for nations going to the moon and beyond to be peaceful, help astronauts in distress, share scientific data, avoid junking up the moon and its orbit, and mine space resources sustainably.

Those treaties are for nations, though. In 2022 the Hague Institute for Global Justice started a similar agreement for commercial entities.

Called The Washington Compact, this treaty for space commerce reflects many of the same principles as the Outer Space Treaty. A series of space startups, civil-society organizations, consultants, and two former NASA administrators have signed it. SpaceX and Blue Origin have not signed on.

In the absence of space law, peer pressure can help

Still, shared norms and treaties can be powerful even without enforcement. Companies operating on the moon will have a strong incentive to play nice with each other: It's good for business.

"Sure, we can pretend we don't have any regulations, but then your mining operation is going to get ruined when somebody drives their rover too close or, whatever you set up, your telecommunications platform is going to get messed up because somebody else decided to build something right next to you," Michelle Hanlon, executive director of the Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, told Business Insider.

"It's going to be much, much more to your benefit, and to your shareholders' benefits, if you can manage to get along with your neighbors," she added.

What's more, companies that want to leapfrog from the moon to Mars will need the moon's resources to get there. That's a built-in incentive not to over-mine or crowd the moon's orbit.

Limited capacity should also hold most companies back from going rogue for a while. Intuitive Machines could only go to the moon with the help of its investors, NASA, and customers who paid to put their projects on the lander.

"In these early phases, everything will be so experimental that working together will be necessary," Cross said. "This wouldn't just be one space billionaire with one project."

Even SpaceX's plans for fully private missions, so far, are basically joy rides bankrolled by other billionaires: Jared Isaacman and Yusaku Maezawa.

"That doesn't necessarily solve all the problems, but it does kind of weaken the sense that this is just someone like Elon Musk, really, determining all of the norms and rules in space," Cross said.

Setting rules while the space titans are still 'Star Trek geeks'

The US is at the forefront of commercial space exploration, putting Congress in a prime position to lead the way on what the rules should be.

Half of global private space investment is in US companies, the US International Trade Commission reported in November. Seven of the world's 10 biggest commercial space operators are based in the US, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

As the industry plows forward, Congress is starting to consider the issue. In November, two Republican representatives introduced a bill that would create a certification process for commercial space missions, adding to the FAA's launch licensing and the Federal Communications Commission's regulation of satellite transmissions, SpaceNews reported .

In another vein, last year Florida passed a bill to protect space companies and their owners from getting sued over spaceflight passenger death or injury.

"I think, frankly, government is struggling to keep pace with industry," Nield, the former FAA official, said of the overall regulatory landscape.

It may be wise to catch up while the entrepreneurs vying for space seem to be truly passionate about it — "Star Trek geeks," in Hanlon's words.

"Right now you have a pretty small community of people who are like-minded," Hanlon said. "We really need to take advantage of this sort of camaraderie that we have, and try to build some of these frameworks before we start getting the bad actors who are really just in it for the money."

The new Four Seasons yacht will set sail in 2026.

Four Seasons has long set the gold standard for luxury accommodations on land and is renowned for its exquisite hotels that offer unparalleled comfort and service. Now, this legacy of luxury is extending its reach to the seas. In a groundbreaking move, Four Seasons Yachts , in collaboration with Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd and the esteemed Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, is introducing an ambitious venture into luxury sea travel. Scheduled to set sail in 2026, this initiative promises an experience that transcends traditional cruising, offering voyages across the mesmerizing waters of the Caribbean and the historic coasts of the Mediterranean.

Alejandro Reynal, President and CEO of Four Seasons, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the brand's hallmark of guest-centered luxury to the high seas. According to Reynal, this expansion into yachting is a natural extension of Four Seasons' commitment to providing personalized, elegant, and comfortable experiences. The aim is clear: to redefine luxury hospitality, but this time, against the backdrop of the world's most stunning seascapes.

The suites are breathtaking.

The inaugural season of Four Seasons Yachts is poised to offer something truly special. With ten unique voyages planned, travelers will have the opportunity to explore over 130 distinct destinations across more than 30 countries and territories. Each itinerary has been meticulously crafted, allowing guests the flexibility to design their own sea adventure. From the lively atmospheres of Caribbean islands like Saint Barthélemy and Martinique to the cultural richness of Mediterranean gems, including the Greek Isles and Croatia, these voyages promise a blend of well-loved destinations and hidden treasures.

The spacious cabins have incredible views.

Accommodations aboard the yacht are set to be a marvel in themselves. Ninety-five suites, conceived by the creative minds of Fredrik Johannson at Tillberg Design of Sweden and Creative Director Prosper Assouline, are designed to be sanctuaries of tranquility at sea. Each suite, envisioned with elegant interiors, expansive views, and a residential feel, aims to provide guests with a sense of being at home away from home. Among these, the Funnel and Loft Suites stand out for their sheer luxury and space. They offer unique features such as splash pools, outdoor showers, and breathtaking panoramic views, setting a new benchmark for luxury accommodations on water.

The pool deck features a bar and lounge chairs.

Beyond the exquisite suites, the yacht will feature various amenities designed to cater to every guest's needs. With eleven dining options, a comprehensive spa and wellness center, a state-of-the-art marina, and an innovative pool area capable of hosting events, the yacht ensures a variety of experiences that enrich the journey.

“We’re building a stunning seafaring venture that will be enjoyed as a yacht experience rather than a cruise experience," says Thatcher Brown, chief commercial officer and head of joint operations at luxury shipping specialist Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the joint owner/operator of the Four Seasons Yachts brand. "The intrinsic value of Four Seasons brand leadership in luxury hospitality combined with the passionate pioneering spirit and expertise of the project team is manifested in the creation of truly special Four Seasons Yachts experiences."

“Since its very inception, NASA’s Johnson Space Center has been home to manned spaceflight, propelling Texas as the national leader in the U.S. space program,” Abbott said. “It was at Rice University where President John F. Kennedy announced that the U.S. would put a man on the moon—not because it was easy, but because it was hard. Now, with the Texas Space Commission, our great state will have a group that is responsible for dreaming and achieving the next generation of human exploration in space.”
