Below Deck Sailing Yacht Recap: Three’s a Crowd
Below deck sailing yacht.
The genius minds behind Sailing Yacht have saved the messiest, booze-fueled guests for last, and for that I am thankful. Instead of the penultimate episode heavily focusing on repetitive and petty crew drama, absurd guest conflict is helping end this season with a bang.
But first, let’s return to the jaw-dropping moment that concluded the previous episode. We pick up with Gary yelling at Mads for not telling him she was on her period (she confirms that she isn’t). In a confessional, he says he had an outburst because Alex knew the information first when he was the one “licking her vagina,” immediately assuming that it meant the pair were hooking up. Gary always jumps to conclusions and never thinks before he acts, and his reaction to this situation is the cherry on top of a pile of toxic behavior. Alex calls Colin and Gary the “biggest gossip queens,” which is true. But it doesn’t erase the fact that he also had a hand in this. Hasn’t he learned that secrets don’t exist on this boat?
After things cool down, Captain Glenn fires up the boat and leaves the dock to save time by setting up the water toys before the guests arrive via tender. Meanwhile, the Mads and Gary situation drags on as Gary tells Mads he was embarrassed to ask her about her period yet fails to actually apologize. At the same time, Alex blames Colin for turning it into a big deal, and Colin says he didn’t do anything wrong. I’m sure he’s relishing watching Gary act like an idiot, though. Alex then shares that he hadn’t pursued Mads out of respect for Gary but might do so now. The way these men treat women like objects to be toyed with is repulsive.
Later while cleaning the boat, Alex asks Gary if they’re on good terms. “No,” Gary responds, stating that it’s because Alex is stirring the pot to get a reaction out of him. Alex counters that he never intended for things to escalate and that it wasn’t his fault Gary reacted the way he did. “It just goes to show Gary’s leadership style is dysfunctional and toxic as fuck,” Alex shares in a confessional. True, and imagine how much simpler things would be if Gary could take accountability for his shitty behavior. It’s also mindblowing how none of them have taken into consideration how it makes Mads feel to have her personal business spread around without her consent.
In the engine room, Daisy tells Colin she hopes he hasn’t been talking to the guys about her because she’s shocked by how disrespectful Gary was toward Mads. Colin just nods and smiles as if he didn’t also play a role in the situation. This seems like the type of “dick move” he’s been calling out all season long.
While Gary and Chase head to shore to pick up the guests, Lucy and Mads discuss whether the married couple in a throuple take turns with their boyfriend and how they’d be too jealous to ever be in a throuple (same!). Once settled on the boat, the guests change into their swimsuits and head outside to play on the water toys. Alex helps Debra, co-primary Todd’s mother, onto a unicorn floaty that’s tied to the swim platform due to the strong current, but she eventually lets it loose and starts floating away while Alex is in the laz. He successfully prevents a horrible situation from happening by jumping into the water and pulling her back to the boat, safe and sound. It would’ve been a nightmare to end the season with another guest injury (or worse).
In their cabin, Colin and Chase discuss how Gary asked Chase to take the day shift so that he could avoid working with Alex, which is downright childish. In a confessional, Chase — the only mature man on the boat — says that Gary’s immature approach to dealing with conflict is what landed him in this sticky situation, which is true. The interior, meanwhile, is frustrated by the amount of alcohol the guests are consuming because it means constantly having to serve drinks. Girls, it could be worse!
While Captain Glenn sails, Ray, one member of the throuple, is so drunk that he goes to his cameraless cabin — the master suite, despite not being the primary — and starts arguing with Nic, his boyfriend, who’s trying to help by offering water and keeping him from “falling and breaking your damn neck.” Things get heated after Ray apparently wakes up on the floor. Nic attempts to defend himself by saying he tried to help but that Ray wouldn’t let him. Brad, Ray’s husband, backs Nic’s claim, and Ray cuts him off by telling Nic he’s a “guest of fucking mine,” which Brad corrects as “ours.” Mads and Lucy overhear the argument while delivering clothes the primaries asked to have pressed and report back to Daisy and Captain Glenn about the situation. Captain Glenn, who desperately wants the final charter to go smoothly, asks them to inform him if anything escalates. Not only is Ray killing the mood, but he’s not even the primary to be acting this damn entitled.
At the Glamazon–themed dinner, not even Ileisha’s incredible meal can put a stop to Ray’s classless, drunken antics. As Lucy discovers that Ray vomited in the sink and didn’t bother cleaning it after, the guests discuss, as Debra says, the public appearances of people that look like they “don’t have mirrors in their house.” Brad specifically references “very large people in very tiny clothes” who have “no respect for others around us.” Now I understand why he’s married to an asshole like Ray. The lovely co-primary Grant says that it doesn’t matter as long as the people are happy. He and Ray get into it because Ray says it matters since “you wouldn’t fuck them,” which Grant says isn’t the point. Ray tells him to shut up, followed by, “Don’t ever try me again, bitch.” Grant fights back by saying, “You barked at me, motherfucker.” It’s baffling that people like Ray choose to behave like this when knowing the world will see it, but at the same time, guests who can’t stand each other make for absolute peak Below Deck drama.
The primaries, like mature humans, leave the table to calm down. Shortly after, Ray decides it’s a good idea to head down to their cabin to talk with them. He walks into Grant and Todd’s room, and they tell him to leave before he can finish his sentence. When Ray refuses, they continue shouting at him to get out just as Captain Glenn arrives to make sure it doesn’t become physical. Captain Glenn, who’s rarely confrontational, tells Ray that if he sees anyone getting “agro” they’ll be kicked off the boat, and, of course, Ray gets defensive toward him. Um, nobody raises their voice at Captain Glenn!
Back on deck, Debra tells Brad that he deserves better than the monstrous Ray, and I sort of agree. Brad, whose no ray (sorry) of sunshine either, shares that Ray would “take me for everything I have” if they got divorced because they don’t have a prenup. It’s giving soap opera. I can’t imagine how much more awful Ray’s behavior is offscreen. Nic needs to run as fast as he can in the opposite direction from this awful man!!
The next morning, the guests, minus the throuple, enjoy breakfast before heading to shore for a beach workout. One guest says he wore his cursed Fyre Festival T-shirt as a reminder that “no matter how bad it gets, it could be worse.” Iconic! By the time the throuple emerges from their chamber, everyone’s already at the beach, where only the primaries and Alex are working out and using Mads as a plank platform. This distance between the two groups of guests is beneficial because there’s only so much of Ray’s bitching one can handle.
Poor Lucy once again walks into the master cabin to discover the sink covered in Ray’s puke and that the toilet hasn’t been flushed, which sets her off. She FaceTimes her dad and has a breakdown over how the guests are “fucking animals,” and he reminds her that she only has a few days left before leaving it all behind. After seeing the state of the cabin throughout the charter (Bravo, please stop including shots of the toilet bowls, I’m begging), her feelings are justified. Cleaning messes may come with the job, but these grown men are filthy.
On deck, Colin notices that Gary isn’t his “normal perky self” and thinks it’s because Alex and Mads are on the beach together. Gary says it’s because he’s tired of people, namely Daisy, asking how he feels about Mads because it shouldn’t concern anyone. Later in the engine room, Colin, who’s now perpetually paranoid when it comes to Gary and Daisy, tells Daisy that he doesn’t understand why she was asking Gary about Mads in the laundry room the previous day. Daisy counters that it’s because she noticed Gary was upset and that it wasn’t randomly brought up. In a confessional, Colin says that his “defensive mode mechanisms are kicking in” because Gary “won’t step aside” and let him and Daisy explore their relationship.
The episode concludes with Daisy and Colin discussing how Gary’s “desperate for a relationship.” More like he just wants attention and validation. Daisy says that Colin is the guy she wants to be with, which she’s said so many times that it feels like she’s mostly trying to convince herself that Colin is the right pick. However, she finally comes to her senses and realizes that Gary’s trying to “fuck with our relationship” and that boundaries need to be drawn. Better late than never!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4, Episode 16 Recap: It Could Be Worse (It Could Be Raining)
It’s finally the last charter of the season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Since the guests requested to “jump right into using all the water toys” on their preference sheet, Captain Glenn Shephard decided to find a nice anchorage and have everything set up on their arrival. The plan was to pick up the guests and tender them out to the Parsifal III, rather than boarding at the dock.
The crew was antsy, knowing the end of the season was in sight. Junior Stew Madison “Mads” Herrera declared, “I am over everyone this morning!”
Deckhand Alex Propson muttered, “[I’ve] just got to survive under [First Mate Gary King’s ] reign for four [more] days.”
“Just don’t cut his lunch, mate,” Chief Engineer Colin MacRae told him. Apparently, that’s Australian for stealing someone else’s girlfriend/boyfriend. Never heard that one before. I had to Google it.
“The only reason I haven’t is because I have respect for the guy,” Alex responded. “If I would have put out the slightest bit of effort [and not been so plastered all the time], he would not have been getting laid.” I’m sure Mads would love hearing herself talked about this way.
The “emotional maturity of a three-year-old”
Meanwhile – even though I tried so hard to avoid discussing it – Gary was still mad at Alex for “causing drama.” It all started when Alex overheard Mads jokingly say something about being on her period. When Alex repeated that news the next morning, after Gary had gone “undercover,” so to speak, the night before, Gary freaked out. Of course, it wasn’t true, but Gary would rather blame Alex than Mads, even though she was the one who started it. Ugh. Gary is such a baby-man.
Alex has zero respect for Gary, and I don’t really blame him. When he attempted to apologize to Gary, Gary refused to listen to him and just walked away. “What an incredibly, like, disrespectful, selfish and immature way to deal with this,” Alex said.
“It just goes to show Gary’s leadership style,” Alex continued. “It’s dysfunctional … and toxic as f*ck. [Gary has] the emotional maturity of a three-year-old.”
A couple, a throuple and a mom
While they waited for the guests, Mads and her co-Junior Stew Lucy Edmunds discussed the anticipated arrival of the “throuple.” Randy and Brad are married; Nic is their boyfriend. The girls debated how that would work, deciding they were way too insecure and jealous to allow a third party into any relationship. But hey, if it works for Randy, Brad and Nic, who cares? (But does it really work? Keep reading…)
When the guests arrived and were asked to remove their shoes before walking onto the boat, one of the men commented, “So we brought a bag of shoes for nothing.” That made me laugh. Poor guy. Maybe he’ll get to wear some of those shoes later in his trip, post-yacht.
As Mads passed out champagne to the hot, thirsty guests, one of them told her, “You’re doing the Lord’s work there, Mads. Bless you.”
As they toured the boat, co-primary Todd asked his mother, “What do you think, Mom?”
“Every mother deserves a gay son,” she answered. Awwwww!
Meanwhile, Mads was helping Chef Ileisha Dell prepare snacks for the guests. Gary entered the galley to flirt, “What’s up? What’s up?” But Mads was giving him the silent treatment for embarrassing her earlier and totally ignored him. Picking up on the situation, Gary slunk away with his tail between his legs.
Alex makes an open-water rescue
After accidentally dunking Mom in the drink while trying to get her onto the blow-up unicorn, Alex finally launched her successfully. She was holding onto its neck for dear life but managed to stay upright on the floatie.
The boys wanted to play on the rope swing, so Gary set it up and demonstrated its use. Meanwhile, the unicorn seemed to be galloping for the shore, carrying Mom further away by the minute. “She’ll be on the bank soon,” Randy said, as Mom gamely waved goodbye. Ciao, baby!
“Miss you already!” Nic yelled.
“The current is strong where we are,” Alex interviewed. “There’s no barriers, there’s no windbreaks. I need to act pretty quickly before this becomes an open-water rescue.” He grabbed one of the Seabobs and motored off to retrieve Todd’s mom.
Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher walked out of the laz just in time to see Alex going to Mom’s rescue. “Oh gosh!” she said, concerned but laughing a little. “Did you untie her?”
“I’m trying to help Todd get his inheritance sooner,” one of the guests joked. “I mean, she’s 72, there’s not much left.”
“You almost made it to the beach,” Alex said when he reached her. “It’s really shallow here, but the current’s really strong … Hold on!” Grabbing the unicorn’s “bridle,” he towed Mom back toward the boat. Unfortunately, he was going too fast for the unicorn to keep up and dumped Mom over sideways. Poor Mom’s having a tough day.
Giving Todd’s mom the Seabob to tow her back to the boat, Alex swam back, towing the now riderless unicorn. “You had an adventure!” Daisy told her when she returned, sunglasses askew. I think Mom deserves a cocktail and a deck chair. Todd’s gonna have to wait a little longer for that inheritance.
Colin and Chase rehash the Gary tantrum
Going down to the boys’ cabin for a little break, Colin found deckhand Chase Lemacks already there. “Mind if I join you?” he asked.
“You heard about this whole f*cking Gary/Alex debacle?” Colin asked Chase. “The whole period thing.” Oh dear God, must we continue talking about this? It’s just so gross!
“It’s all so dumb, dude,” Chase said. “Gary asked me this morning, he’s like, ‘You wanna be on day shift?'”
“He was gonna put Alex on nights to punish him?” Colin asked, a little stunned.
“Cause he didn’t want to see him,” Chase said.
“Look, I’m sure Gary feels really embarrassed right now,” Chase interviewed, “but I don’t feel bad for the guy. The immature way that he deals with conflict is exactly what got him into this mess. You can’t let it consume your work life like Gary does.”
Keep those cocktails coming, Daisy!
These guests are drinkers! I’m starting to get worried the Parsifal’s going to run out of booze. “Cheers, queers!” one of them toasts, as they toss back more tequila.
“They’re psychopaths,” Daisy complained to Colin in the crew mess. “It’s insane. They’re pretty hammered.”
Walking into the galley, Glenn asked Lucy, “How’s their mood?”
“Drunk,” she answered. “They’re drinking a lot.”
Back on deck, guest Randy was starting to feel the effects of the sun combined with mass quantities of alcohol. He struggled to his feet and wandered downstairs. “I just want to lay down,” he moaned, collapsing onto the bed in the master cabin. At least he remembered where his room was. Good for him. Take a nap, Randy. You’ll feel better. Gotta pace yourself.
Time to sail
Two guests at the bar asked Mads, “Are we sailing or are we on motor?”
“They’re raising the sails right now,” she told them. “So if you guys want to [sit] up there, you’ll see it all happen.” Randy, snoring away in the master, is going to miss the best part.
Nic, being a good boyfriend, brought Randy water. But Randy wanted none of it, claiming he was “going to be sick.” Wait till the boat starts heeling over, Randy. You’re in for a fun ride.
Time to rumble, rumble, rumble
Sometime later, Randy woke up cranky from his drunken nap. He started yelling at Nic for leaving him “passed out on the floor.” Actually, Nic had tried to help him, but Randy had been so drunk and belligerent, he’d refused any help. He also didn’t remember that part.
Delivering freshly ironed clothes to Todd and Grant’s cabin, Lucy and Mads overheard the arguing in the master. Lucy decided, “If this is an example of being in a throuple, stay me the f*ck away.”
When the captain overheard Lucy describing the argument going on in the master, he asked her, “Are they getting aggro? Like, are they going to fight?”
Glenn was not having any of it. “If you guys see anything weird, let me know immediately.”
“Well, I’m giving them f*cking amazing food, so they better love it,” Ileisha said. I’m afraid some of them are so drunk, they’re not even going to be able to taste it. What a waste of Ileisha’s beautiful food!
While Randy, Brad and Nic were still arguing down below, Mom, whose name I finally realized is Debra, was trying to figure out their situation. “So you call them the ‘truffle?'” Oh, Debra. You are so cute! You remind me of my own sweet mom. “It makes no sense to me whatsoever,” she concluded. You’re not the only one, Deb.
More fighting over dinner
Finally, all the guests were at the table. Randy was already seated, so Nic asked Brad to sit between them. Best keep the peace at dinner.
“Drunk, fighting guests is not ideal,” Ileisha interviewed. “But this is my last charter, and I have put a lot of hard work into this. You’re going to enjoy this!”
The first course was Avocado Mousse with Whipped Feta and Cavier, with Sardinian toasted bread. Yum! Three of my favorites!
But down in the master cabin, Lucy and Mads were discovering a hellscape. “Oh my God,” Lucy exclaimed, coming out of the bathroom. “Mads! They got sick in the sink. That’s what the smell is.” Deciding she needed to get gloves, Lucy gave herself a pep talk, “I can do this.”
Meanwhile, back on deck, Ileisha was presenting the second course, which also looked fabulous. “For this course, we have bone-in ribeye, roasted parsnips and a confit garlic puree.” I only know what one of those things is. I don’t believe I’ve ever even seen a parsnip. Google says it’s like a carrot, which I hate, so no thanks.
Instead of just enjoying their dinner, another argument broke out between Randy and Grant over something so stupid I can’t even explain it. Down in the galley, Mads told Colin, “Grant and Ray [Randy] are now going at it.”
Back at the table, Todd had had enough of Randy and asked Grant and David to “squeeze out” so he could leave. Todd and Grant left the table, while Randy flicked cigarette ashes into his plate and claimed, “Todd can do better.” Hello! Todd’s mother is sitting right there. Be respectful of her, at least.
The fight escalates
Todd and Grant went to their cabin to escape Randy’s nasty attitude. But at the table, Randy decided to “go talk to them.” Uh oh, this isn’t going to go well.
Lucy jumped on the radio to notify the captain, “Glenn, it’s gotten worse. They’re going down there to talk.” Poor Glenn. This is the last charter of the season. He just wants nice normal guests, and instead, he has a load of drunks.
In the guest quarters, Randy just opened the door and walked into Todd’s room. “You have to realize…” he began.
“You can’t … just get out of my room, dude,” Grant told him. “Randy get out of here. Get out of the room, dude!”
Suddenly Todd was standing in the hallway, “Get out of this room! Get out of this boat! This is unbelievable from you!”
Glenn’s not having any aggression on his boat
Glenn arrived and I was worried for him. Glenn is not a big man. Todd looked to be about a foot taller than him, but at least Todd was on his side. “Upstairs,” Glenn told Randy. “Don’t push anybody. This is ridiculous.”
In the hallway, Glenn continued telling Randy, “I’m telling you, the first moment I see anyone getting aggro, they will be getting off the boat. Keep that in mind when you’re talking to your friend. You’re clear on that?”
“There’s nothing to be clear about,” Randy argued, as Gary come running to back up Glenn. Gary’s not that big of a guy either. Where are Chase and Alex?
“We are not getting violent,” Randy insisted. “We want to talk.”
“Dude, you’re getting aggro with me,” Glenn told him, “and you’re this far from getting off the boat … this is ridiculous.”
“This is ridiculous,” Randy told him. “Because I just tried to have a normal conversation with them and I was calm.”
Daisy suddenly appeared in the hallway. “Maybe it’s best to leave until the morning, when everyone’s calmed down and sobered up a bit.”
Randy agreed and disappeared into his cabin. “He’s pretty f*cking wasted,” Daisy told Glenn and Gary.
“First punch thrown and they’re f*cking off the boat,” Glenn decreed.
“I’m gonna go to bed,” Gary told him. “If you need muscles, call Chase.”
After the fight
While Todd was crying in his cabin and Grant comforted him, the other guests consoled each other, still at the dinner table. “Honey, you deserve so much better,” Debra told Brad.
“If we get divorced, he’s going to take me for everything I have,” Brad told her.
“You didn’t do the prenup?” she asked him. “What the f*ck were you thinking?”
When Chase showed up for his night shift, he got all the stories of the fight he missed. “Ray seems to be instigating all the problems,” Glenn told him. “So, anything happens, just come and get us right away.” Glenn’s not playin’.
When Chase went down to check on things in the guest cabins, Ray was still at it. “I want off this boat. I wanna go home,” he told Brad.
“Why don’t you just stop drinking,” Nic interjected, “and sleep, and then maybe you’ll feel better in the morning.”
“F*ck you both!” Ray answered.
“Go to sleep, you messy motherf*cker!” Nic said. Not a good idea to poke the [drunk] bear, Nic. I’d be looking for another place to sleep.
Chase stood guard in the hallway until he finally heard snoring from inside their cabin. Wonder how Ray’s gonna feel in the morning, or if he’ll even remember any of it?
The morning after
As the guests filtered up to breakfast the next morning, there was still discord in the master cabin. “If we can’t enjoy ourselves here in Sardinia,” Nic was saying, “then why the f*ck are we together?”
“Today is a different day,” Nic continued. “Bury your sh*t.” And then kick some grass over it, like my little dog does. “Smile. And let’s just enjoy one day.” As long as nobody serves Randy any more alcohol, things might be okay. I just don’t have a good feeling about this.
At breakfast, David was wearing his Fyre Festival shirt (Google it, if you’re not familiar). “No matter how bad it gets, it could be worse,” he said. Good one, Dave! LOL. When things gets dicey, I always think of a line from Young Frankenstein, “It could be worse. It could be raining.” And then the skies opened.
Rather than be at the table when the Fearsome Threesome woke up, the other guests took the tender to the beach to do some morning exercise. Nobody’s ready to rehash the horror of the night before.
“We’re just gonna move forward,” Randy said. “It is what it is. Sh*t happens.”
And speaking of sh*t…
Once all the guests were up, Lucy and Mads were again facing the nastiness of the master cabin. “Oh my God,” Lucy moaned. “The sink is f*cked.” And not just the sink. Somebody didn’t have the common decency to flush the toilet. How do you do that when you know someone is going to come in and clean? That’s disgusting.
“I may be your stewardess,” Lucy voice-overed. “I may be your maid, maybe I have to clean. But I should never have to flush the toilet for grown-ass men. F*cking gross!”
Poor Lucy’s over it. She called her dad, crying, “I just want to come home. These people are animals … I’ve cleaned up sick. I’ve just cleaned up sh*t. Like, I am done. I want to go home. I’m so tired.” Lucy needs a hug. And a day off. Fortunately, her dad talked her off the ledge. Lucy’s dad is a great dad.
Amazingly, when Todd, David, Grant and Debra returned from their trip to the beach, Randy actually apologized for his behavior of the night before. “Apologies, I was very rude,” he said, hugging Grant. “We’ll get a start-over.”
Colin questions Daisy’s “friendship” with Gary
Daisy went to the control room to check in with Colin. When she asked how he was doing, he said, “I had an interesting chat with Gary before … He’s very confused, cause you keep asking him if he likes Mads or not. Like, ‘Why is she asking me? Why is she so interested?'” Gary’s just trying to stir up sh*t.
“Because I’m his friend,” Daisy said.
“It’s just got me thinking a bit as well,” Colin told her.
“My defensive mechanisms are kicking in a little bit,” Colin interviewed. “I almost feel like Gary isn’t just going to step aside and let us be together. I’m just getting alarm bells left, right and center.”
“This is a spanner in the works,” Colin said. “It’s pretty pathetic.”
“Honestly, I really couldn’t care about Gary and any of his relationships,” Daisy said. “I was only trying to help him as a friend.” I’m not buying it, Daisy, and I don’t think Colin is either.
“He’s disrespectful towards you,” Daisy added. “You’re the person I want to be with.”
“At this stage, I feel like Gary possibly could be trying to f*ck with our relationship,” Daisy interviewed, ” and I’m f*cking over it. This is the last f*cking straw.”
“If Gary can’t be friends with me without f*cking stirring sh*t,” Daisy said, “then I don’t want to be his friend.” I’ll believe it when I see those sentiments in action, Dais. I don’t think she and Gary are done.
TELL US – HOW GROSS WERE THOSE ENTITLED GUESTS IN THE MASTER? DO YOU THINK DAISY AND GARY ARE REALLY DONE? DO YOU THINK MADS WILL WIND UP WITH GARY OR ALEX ON THEIR LAST CREW NIGHT OUT?

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 cast
Captain Glenn Shepherd returns to helm the Parsifal III. This is his fourth season on the series, but he's no stranger to the ship. He's been helming the Parsifal III for over a decade.
Captain Glenn will be joined once again by Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, first mate Gary King and engineer Colin MacRae.
New to the series are chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 plot
Bravo offered this synopsis of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and it gives you a good sense of what's coming in the new season:
"Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy. Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay.
"In the galley, Chef Ileisha’s cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.
"Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ."

Why are 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 4 Episodes 16 and 17 not airing this week? Here's when Bravo show will return
SARDINIA, ITALY: Bravo's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 4 has started dropping two back-to-back episodes a week. Until now, we have watched the crew members serving as the primary charter guest in the best way possible. Despite putting their best side front, some downs in the serving have been noticed.
Captain Glenn Shepherd reprimands the crew after noticing the miscommunication. The jealousy game between Gary King, Mads Herrera, Colin MacRae, and Diasy Kelliher started as their intimate scene became known to each other. Well, the love drama will not be ending anytime soon. We can expect it to get even more complicated.

Below Deck Med’s soul-sucking boat drifts toward its finale
comment icon Join the discussion
It’s the last charter on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9: yes, we’re on the penultimate episode, also known as the episode where absolutely nothing happens because the editors are saving everything good for next week’s finale.
With Below Deck Med ending, Bravo just announced the next in the franchise: Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return. Bravo’s press release mentions the return of Captain Glenn, Daisy, and Gary (ugh), though the preview that ran during the commercials excluded Gary entirely. Is that because of what reportedly happened during season four ?
Alas, Gary is in this extended trailer . I just don’t know if I can take a season of that fucking guy, so I hope it minimizes him and/or he falls overboard and has to swim to shore, because the rest looks fun, from a naked person falling on Glenn to Drag Race alum Detox on board as a guest. That starts Oct. 7.
Today, we’re starting the last charter, with guest Stacey Jennings his husband Brad Driver, who you may remember from Below Deck Down Under . I barely did; I barely will. Is it too much to ask for some drunk guests to throw a chair in the water or something?
First, though, Gael recovers from her breakdown about Nathan planning to have Joe visit him. “I’m okay. I just had a moment of weakness,” Gael said, trying to smile so hard I thought her head might actually pop.
“Go and have cuddles,” Aesha said, putting Gael in Nathan’s bed. Nathan asked her what’s wrong and she said “nothing.” Ah, communication. This relationship is going to last, what, one or two days beyond this season?
Later, Gael told Nathan, “I still don’t really know you,” and he said “shut up.”
Nathan said, “I love you more and more,” and Gael said, “Okay, just show it.” Then Joe came in and Nathan crawled down in his bunk and showed Gael how much he loves her.
Meanwhile, Joe is still salivating over Carrie, but says, “I don’t even want to go there.” Nathan told us that is “utter bullshit” and said “that is what he does.” Yep, your bro is a fuckboy.
In real love news, Captain Sandy’s girlfriend is on the way to visit and either get engaged or reject Captain Sandy on national TV. Aesha is producing this event, and shares that they all live in Colorado together, hang out, and compare poop, or at least I assume they would if Aesha had her way.
For this Sandy wants just a simple, casual moment, like a flower-lined dock leading to a table where there’s a violinist and “peach tea in a champagne glass,” and all of that has to be flawless. “I just want it to be perfect,” she says, “absolutely perfect.”
Well, okay then, as long as you don’t set impossibly high standards for one five-minute period in your life that will be orchestrated in part by your crew of incompetent dummies. (A preview for next week shows Joe getting a line wrapped up in the tender’s propeller, so that’s exciting.)
Sandy is worried about her mortal enemy, wind. “I hope the weather’s going to be great,” she says.
In the funniest moment, Sandy asks Aesha if she thinks Leah will know what’s happening. Aesha’s like, um, yeah, once she sees the fact that you’ve stage managed the dock so much it looks like a Bachelorette finale.
She’ll probably also know because Sandy is basically spoiling it: “I have a special treat for you tomorrow,” Sandy says, and her girlfriend said, “You and your surprises.” I expected Sandy to be like, You’ll never guess what it is! Definitely not a proposal!! What is your ring size?
The episode’s major drama, if you can call it that, involves Ellie, who’s still quite insecure about Carrie’s presence on the boat. She’s constantly seeking reassurance from Aesha (DO WE DROP CARRIE OFF AT DOCK AND LEAVE HER NOW?) and micromanaging the other stews (PUT BALLOON THERE YOU STUPID COW!).
During their stew meeting, there’s a fleeting moment when Aesha praises Bri for the laundry, which has miraculously not been delivered to the crew of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , and then praised Ellie’s table decorations, and says, “you’re nailing it.”
But then Aesha shares that Carrie is much faster at all the tasks, and Ellie’s face sinks and I think she may have tried to dig her eyes out with her fingers:
Aesha’s so over Ellie that she’s being overtly hostile, which for Aesha equals sarcasm. Ellie is in her cabin when provisions arrive, and when she finally arrives on Deck, Aesha says, “Oh, thanks for coming up right at the end. We finished.”
Ellie tries to help Bri in cabins, and Aesha is like, “No. Just do what I’ve said.” Then she notices Ellie hasn’t wiped down the walls, and calls for Ellie because “there’s finger marks everywhere,” probably from Joe trying to hit on the wood paneling.
But Ellie is dancing in the crew mess and having fun—which, honestly, it’s nice to see Ellie not trying to destroy everyone with laser eyes, but also Aesha is pissed that Ellie’s ignoring her.
Carrie doesn’t mind Ellie bossing her around, noting that it’s “nice to not have a lot of responsibility” after her last job, when “I went from chief stew to caregiver” when the boat’s owner’s wife died. Yikes.
The guests arrive and Iain, awake from a nap, does the shocker and yells “it’s the last charter,” and I was embarrassed for him and everyone in that interview room.
Iain does manage to get the boat out of the dock without ramming it into another boat, prompting one of the gaggle of gays to say “they pulled out clean.” That’s about the level of entertainment these guests bring: gay sex jokes.
Down in the galley, Jono is thrilled for “a group of guests that are all queer” because “I haven’t met many gay or Black people in the industry,” and he makes a valid point about diversity in yachting that I ignored because I was too busy trying to make a joke out of “I haven’t met many…” …other chefs? YouTube recipes that weren’t from someone’s grandma? charter guests who I haven’t killed?
Jono wants to “make sure they’re extra happy,” and thus plans on, and I quote, “flavor flavor okurrr.”
For an example of how much the editors stretched to fill this episode and save the actual content for next week’s finale, they included this actual exchange:
Sandy: “How’s it going?” Jono: “Wonderfully. How are you?” Sandy: “Good.”
Ellie is confused about why the guests want a party themed to “Swedish pop music. We’re in Greece.” But ultimately she doesn’t care, because, as she says, “Table decor at this point is the only thing bringing me any sort of joy on this soul-sucking boat.”
Below deck, Nathan’s in tighty whities showing off his penis to the world while trying to get into costume. Gael asks, “How’s anyone fit this?” She’s apparently talking about the costume, a leotard that seems designed for a child, because it fits about up to Nathan’s mid-torso. Aesha sees him and says, “Well-done. That’s quite large.”
In a joint bro interview, Joe called it “very questionable” and Nathan said, “when me granddad sees me in that, I’ll lose me surname.”
In Iain news, he put the Progress Pride flag up , and hung it correctly. He also asks to go on the excursion to Posideon’s Temple with the guests. Sandy agrees, probably because having her bosun off the boat is safer than having him on it.
Aesha decided to send Bri as a reward for not putting all of their clothes in the trash, or trying to wash their laundry using champagne. Bri was so thrilled that she hugged Aesha through tears.
Iain told us that, “in my role, I find I’m sometimes more behind the scenes, making everything run,” which must be what he’s doing in bed all the time.
“I’ve always been an entertainment kind of person,” he says, and that comes in the form of facts about temple he shares with the guests. Hilariously, Bri tells us, “Iain and I really aren’t the best entertainers on the boat.” Oh, you’re entertaining, just for your incompetence.
Oh, I kid Bri and Iain. Seriously, Iain seems—pretty great with the guests? He’s laughing, they’re having fun, he has facts, they seem interested. I mean, this is just a few moments of screen time, but maybe he’s in the wrong job? The same might be true for Bri, too. She offers the guests ice water instead of, say, motor oil. Impressive!
The trip seems fine and the guests seem happy and there’s just nothing happening. Back on board, Sandy tells Iain, “go and get the drag queens,” and he says, “Joe and Gael will go,” because of course he’ll have others do the work. Joe is somehow not a monstrous dick to Gael on the boat ride, and Gael wonders why he can’t be like that all the time.
Aesha asks Carrie about Ellie, who says, “If I had to do a whole season like this, I’d be really struggling to bite my tongue.” Aesha finally snaps when Ellie starts clearing the table without radioing, I think, and then it’s time for the big confrontation!
“I feel like you have been overstepping as the second,” Aesha tells Ellie, the line we’ve already heard in the preview for the episode and the teasers during the breaks. “The job as the second is to delegate when I’m not around.”
But wait: the credits are starting. What?! “I would never disrespect you like that,” Ellie says, and instead of Aesha, say, firing her, we get a flashback to all of Ellie’s bad second stew behavior, like when she screamed at Bri, “SINCE YOU DON’T KNOW HOW BOATS WORK SECOND STEW OUTRANKS YOU.”
The preview for the finale shows Ellie saying, “Fuck that. I’m not taking shit.” But based on how this season has gone, I’d guess that Ellie does, in fact, not receive any actual shit. But a firing in the finale would certainly be dramatic!

Finally, Bravo Drops Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Season 5 Trailer
Bravo fans have been waiting a very long time for news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, and the network has finally delivered.
Not only did Bravo just drop a brand-new trailer for the fifth season of the hotly-anticipated reality TV show, the network also confirmed precisely when Below Deck Sailing Yacht will return.
Until today, fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht weren't quite sure the spin-off of Below Deck would return for a fifth season, as the last episode of Season 4 aired way back in July 2023.
Editor's note: This article contains brief mentions of sexual assault, abuse, or other related topics that could be triggering for some readers and survivors. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, please visit RAINN.org. The National Sexual Assault Hotline (1-800-656-4673) is available 24/7.
In late June, one viewer asked Reddit users if Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 was ever going to happen, and even as recently as this summer, fans weren't sure the show was returning.
In that thread, BDSY fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to allegations involving First Officer Gary King.
As we previously reported, Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht featured a wild "love triangle" between Gary, Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae:
"Many things influenced the relationship between Daisy and Colin, but one name was the most prominent: Gary King. "Daisy, Colin, and Gary's entanglement reached a boiling point that got the three in public arguments and name-calling, and at the end, estranged."
A month after Season 4 concluded with a two-part reunion in July 2023, Rolling Stone published an in-depth article , "'Below Deck' Accused of Covering Up Gary Kingâs Sexual Misconduct," rocking the show's audience.
It reported in part:
"Bravos Below Deck was recently lauded for its handling of sexual misconduct when a producer on Below Deck Down Under broke the 'fourth wall' and intervened when one cast member, Luke Jones, tried to get into bed naked with another cast member, Margot Sisson, without her consent while she was inebriated and passed out. Not only was Luke fired from the show, but their fellow cast member and stewardess, Laura Bileskalne, was also let go because of victim-blaming comments she made to Margot about the incident and her own line-crossing pursuit of deckhand Adam Kodra. [...] "Samantha Suarez, who first joined Below Deck in the makeup department on Season 10 of the show, tells Rolling Stone that cast member Gary King tried to force himself on her during production of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season Four, which filmed in Sardinia, Italy, in the summer of 2022."
Fans speculated that Season 5 was delayed due to extensive retooling, but Bravo eventually confirmed the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, with a trailer that centers Daisy.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5's Release Date And Trailer
On September 16, Bravo finally released the Below Deck Sailing Yacht trailer.
Bravo shared the clip on Instagram and Twitter/X, to the surprise of fans:
Posts teased the crew's visit to the notoriously riotous destination of Ibiza, and the trailer kicked off with some remarks from Daisy.
Daisy is the first crew member to speak in the trailer, and she addresses the unwieldy love triangle of Season 4:
"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight. The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. "But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy, and I'm f*****g good at my job. And I'm taking back the reins."
Immediately thereafter, the clip cuts to a cabin, where Daisy tells an in-bed Gary that she refuses to "carry this season," before cutting back to newer footage of Daisy laughing and predicting:
This is gonna be a s*** show.
Then the video shifts to Ibiza, where a voiceover describes it as the world's "party capital," and scenes are interspersed with a lot of breaking glass.
Gary (who has not been let go from the franchise) makes an appearance, and the soundbite chosen for the trailer is bizarre given the allegations levied at him last year:
If the guests don't have a good time, we're clearly doing something very wrong.
As the trailer winds down, one of the crew members (likely Deckhand Keith Allen) muses that "Daisy would make a very good wife."
The trailer wraps with an apparent firing, as well as what appears to be a scene during which the crew veers uncomfortable close to another vessel at sea, at night.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 debuts on Bravo on October 7 at 9PM Eastern, and streams on Peacock the following day.

Below deck sailing yacht 's daisy kelliher confronts "pr--k" gary king following their failed boatmance in e news' exclusive first look at season five. plus, meet the new yachties..
Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's new season will be anything but smooth sailing.
That's because returning costars Daisy Kelliher and Gary King are anything but friendly after their failed boatmance in E! News' exclusive first look at the Bravo series' fifth season.
Following Daisy, Gary and BDSY alum Colin MacRae 's messy love triangle , Daisy is still reeling from the complicated and dramatic fallout from last season.
"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight," the newly single Chief Stew says in the trailer. "The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy and I'm f--king good at my job. And I'm taking back the reigns."
Despite her initial confidence about returning to the Parsifal III , Daisy adds, "It's gonna be a s--t show."
Cut to the Ireland native yelling at Gary, "Guess what? We have a f--king job to do and I'm not f--king carrying this season on my own, you f--king pr--k!"
But luckily for Daisy, the preview teases her quickly moving on with new Deckhand Keith Allen , who tells Gary, "Daisy would make a very good wife. No?"
As for Gary's response, he bursts out laughing at the crewmember's declaration.
However, Daisy feels the same about Keith and tells him, "You're the kind of person I've never met before."
And when it comes to this season's charter guests, the yachties have too much of a good time with one group on shore.
After a night out, Captain Glenn Shephard warns the team, "You guys went out with some guests, I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f--king rules, and now you're here getting upset."
Check out the trailer above for a preview of all the drama to come. And keep reading to meet new yachties Chef Cloyce Martin , Chief Engineer Davide Morosi , Stews Diana Cruz and Danni Warren and Deckhand Emma Crouch .
Below Deck Sailing Yacht premieres Monday, Oct. 7, at 9 p.m. on Bravo. Episodes will be available to stream next day on Peacock.
Captain Glenn Shephard
Capt. Glenn and his expert crew set sail on Parsifal III to the luxury party capital of the world, Ibiza. Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher
After a distracting love triangle last season that took her focus away from work, Daisy is ready to take the reins back in the interior department with a new sense of energy and determination. However, plans for a stress-free charter season are threatened when her stews question her leadership.
First Mate Gary King
On deck, Gary attempts to keep his team motivated as one crew member struggles to learn the ropes.
Chef Cloyce Martin
In the galley, Chef Cloyce charms the crew and guests but at only 22, he may be too inexperienced to meet the demands of the high-maintenance charter guests.
