Not the fanciest yacht club but most definitely the coolest and quaintest. A facility to meet up with friends and family for events with a beautiful view.

I just discovered this little tem slightly before covid. It's is probably one of the better locations with views of the ocean as well as our mountains. I have met some fun people there too. It's not a fancy club it's one of those places where you can meet the girls and play some card games out on the deck or meet clients there at the bar. This is exactly the kind of cool vibe I am looking for. Facility is clean. The dues are reasonable and there is no monthly minimum use prepay. They do this by being partially self help, each of the members trades off as being the bartender.

Ditto on the last review. AND now we have more members , making the club house the place to be on Fri, Sat or Sun. One super benefit is that the rental fee is waived for members when there is no scheded club event. We're personally hosted birthdays, retirements, a wedding reception & an occasional professional group. Members an also just come up midweek to BBQ or hang out and watch TV or the spectacular sunsets... If the club isn't reserved.

A great little volunteer run yacht club. Very casual, inexpensive; great view of harbor from the club. You don't need a boat to join, just a willingness to have fun. Volunteers staff the bar, where everyone learns your name, cook dinners now and then, and throw parties and other events. PBYC hosts lots of races, and its members range from serious racers to folks who just like to hang out. Membership is easy to get. Worth checking out if you want to have a place to have fun on and near the ocean!

Founded in 1972, Pierpont Bay Yacht Club is located on the east end of Ventura Harbor in the Ventura Isle Marina on Spinnaker Drive. Spectacular sunsets overlooking Ventura Harbor and the Topa Topa mountains can be viewed from our second story deck. The clubhouse features a cocktail lounge with a ‘living room’ atmosphere in which members and their guests can relax and enjoy a variety of social activities and watch sports and movies on our big screen TV’s. Most functions are casual dress with the key word being FUN!

RACING Pierpont Bay Yacht Club is a member of the Southern California Yachting Association and the United States Sailing Association. One of the highlights of the racing season is the annual Milt Ingram Trophy Race, the largest race in Ventura County. Milt’s Race was set up so that if you own a sailboat, “there’s a class for you“.

COMMUNITY Pierpont Bay Yacht Club recognizes a commitment to our community. We support the Leo Robbins Community Sailing Center, where children of members may participate at no charge, and we also participate in the annual Caregivers Sailathon to support services for the elderly of Ventura County.

MEETINGS General membership meetings are generally held on the fourth Saturday of each month beginning at 6:00pm. Check the club calendar as dates may vary to accommodate races and holidays.

Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club

The Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club sprint racing canoes and kayaks at the Ventura Harbor and welcome both youth and adult athletes!

The club was originally known as the “Ventura Olympic Canoe Club” and had many National titles in the late 1970s and 80s. After a dormant period, the club is being rebuilt as the Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club.

Club membership can be for anyone 12 years old and up! Competition age brackets are set at under 18, under 16, and under 14 divisions for youth. Adults may compete in the Senior (or open) category, as well as master’s divisions. Masters age groups begin at age 30, with different divisions spread out over 15-year intervals.

The mission of the Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club is to produce world-class paddlers that have a life-long love for the sport, providing a community that focuses on helping all paddlers reach their highest potential.

Founded in 1938, Ventura Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club in Ventura County and one of the more unique clubs in the United States. VYC is a full service facility located on the west side of Ventura Harbor between the Ventura Harbor Village and the Channel Islands National Park headquarters. VYC owns and operates a 91 slip marina for members and maintains a spacious 240-foot guest dock for members and visitors with yacht club reciprocity. The club also has a two-ton hoist and dry storage spaces for trailerable boats up to 30 feet. VYC offers a wide variety of boating activities, social events, weekend dining and even a youth program that has introduced hundreds of youngsters to the sport of sailing.

Junior Sailing Program

Our youth sailing program is open to 8-18 year old kids in the summer for week-long sailing classes from June to August. You don't have to be a member of the club to sign your kids up. Space is limited, so get your registration forms in the Spring so you can enroll your junior sailors!
