Andrew is the Man!!! Whether inside or sitting g outside the atmosphere is serene and refreshing. Wings were good. Everyone was raving about the orange crush drinks

The dock is a very good location, pricing is a bit expensive. There is absolutely no boat services within the marina available that I would recommend using, and they charge contractors extra that come to work on your boat. The staff is friendly. As long as you don't want WiFi or boat services from the marina then you will enjoy your time docked here.

Beautiful place with great views and nice restaurant. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I rented jet skis at the Marina, and it was incredible! The marina itself is absolutely stunning, and the staff were so helpful and kind. I definitely plan on going back. It really was a lovely day!

This is the third season that we've had our 42' catamaran at Pier 7. Location is sheltered with beautiful views on the South River. Marina amenities are basic with new things added each year. Big addition this season is a lift and winter storage that will be able to handle a boat our size. It is out of the fray and constant tourists of downtown. Uber works well for getting around. Well stocked groceries and hardware type places close by. We've been pleased. Keep returning. Evolving into likely the premier spot for sailing catamarans

We're very happy with this marina. It's not fancy, few frills, but nice spot and nice staff. It may not be the "best" marina in town, but for our purposes it's very good. We're sailors, live in WDC, and keep our boat on a trailer. They've recently made some modest improvements and the restaurant is fun.

A convenient location and a beautiful setting; accommodations were clean and modern. But nowhere near worth the price. And forget going here if you have a family with kids, or you expect to be treated as though you actually paid almost $600/night to be here. You will be as disappointed as I was I arrived and was immediately told - repeatedly - that I could not use the parking spaces conveniently located in front of the place. No, my $600/night didn't cover that. The guy living upstairs was the only one who could use those spaces with the one car he used during our stay, because apparently he needed the room. And that was ok with management. So my $600 parking lot was a nice walk a few hundred yards away located in a side gravel pit. Internet didn't work upon arrival, and we had to fix it ourselves. A kitchen with no oven, dishes with no way to wash them, lamps throughout with only a few plugs that were not near them (apparently decorative only, who needs light?), air conditioning that required speaking forty decibels louder lest be drowned out, rooms that did not benefit from said air conditioner because despite its industrial noise it was still not adequate enough to reach all of the rooms, and paper thin towels. Still, we were enamored enough with the view to look past all of that, even at $600/night. Then our first evening, at around 1am, the tenant upstairs woke me us up with what sounded like a very physical and verbally abusive fight. Threats and screams were bad enough for us to grab our phones to call the police. It went on for almost an hour, and we feared how it would end. Fortunately no one was hurt, but when we complained to management we were told simply "sorry, we asked him not to do that again." And that is as good as the customer service ever got. The next two nights it was the bar located at the top of the hill that kept us all up until past 1am. And I had specifically asked about this potential when I first considered my reservation, and was repeatedly assured it was in no way an issue. So when I reminded management of this, I was told "yeah, sorry, others complained too. We have asked the bar to keep it down next time." We were no longer enamored. In the end, it's not just the ridiculous noise and the lack of attention to the meaningful details that pushes me to rate this experience as such a poor one, and to recommend looking elsewhere for lodging when you visit Annapolis... it's the tone deaf customer service. There were a lot of things that could have been done to make the stay better, or to make up for its failings. But management arrogance left us regretting our choice. And $600/night... or even half that ... demands a higher standard. This ain't it, not even close.

In the running for the worst marina in the Annapolis area. I've already warned 4 people away from here. Marina policy changes at the whim of management and the GM is well known as unapproachable. Locals avoid the place like the plague and the recent ownership change has induced a level of stupid B.S. that makes the former owner's manager look like a genius.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
