MARCELLO (ex JOY STAR) is a 25.90m (85') luxury motor yacht, launched by the Italian shipyard Arcadia Yachts in 2015. With contemporary styling and spacious deck areas, MARCELLO can accommodate up to eight charter guests in four cabins overnight, with a professional crew of three ensuring everyone has a relaxing time on board.

The lower deck swim platform is broad and deep to ensure that there is plenty of room for guests to board, as well as for storing the tender while in transit.

The main deck interior opens up completely to the aft outside environment, where a sofa lines each side, another sofa faces aft and a sofa/sunbed lines the stern.

On the foredeck, there is a C-shaped sofa and a raised table for drinks together at sunset taking in the panoramic views.

The roof uses thermal insulating glass integrated with solar panels to prevent the interior from becoming too hot while ensuring that there is plenty of sunlight penetrating the interior. 30% of onboard systems such as the lighting are powered by solar energy, making the yachts from Arcadia some of the best energy efficient choices on the market.

The lower deck layout contains the guest and crew accommodation, with the former providing spacious en-suite cabins with marble finishes.

On the main deck, the helm controls are placed forward with the formal dining area immediately behind, where the glass sliding doors open the interior to the elements and ambience outside. Farther aft is the galley amidships and then the salon in the stern, where three plush sofas surround a coffee table. The contemporary furnishings are from B&B Italia and

26m Arcadia motor yacht Joy Star sold

The 25.9 metre Joy Star has been sold with Renaud Canivet of Ocean Drive representing both buyer and seller. She was built of GRP by Arcadia Yachts in 2015.

Joy Star was designed by Francesco Guida and offers accommodation for up to eight guests across four cabins comprising three doubles and a twin bunk room, all finished in a colourful and contemporary manner. There are quarters for four crew.

The saloon is encased in an angular glass structure, the top of which has solar panels, their grid form allowing beams of sunlight to filter through the gaps. Below is a lounge, accessed from the aft deck through sliding glass doors, and a formal dining table. 

On the foredeck is another lounging area wrapped around an extendable table. The bathing platform aft has a swimming ladder that doubles at a tender launching davit. Black umbrellas fore and aft stand out in profile.

Twin 730hp MAN diesel engines push Joy Star at up to 16 knots, cruising at 12 knots and her range is 1,500 nautical miles. Stabilisers keep the vessel steady, both underway and at rest.

Joy Star was asking €3,800,000 with VAT paid.

The exclusive layout and the incredible living concept are the result of a real construction revolution: the linear design of the superstructure and the vertical line of the bow allow a better use of every single available space, with a living capacity much higher than other yachts of the same size. To get the very best out of every moment spent at sea. Collaboration with leading partners has increased solar panel output by more than 30%, using solar panels for generating clean & renewable electricity on board. The energy stored in the on-board batteries enables the main appliances to be used in the road stead, without continuously using generators: comfort for guests, respect for nature. Unique is the “jardin d’hiver”, created using thermal insulating double-glazing with steel or aluminium frames: the result is a lightweight boat offering a seamless sense of openness onto the world outside. The roof design also makes use of thermal insulating glass, but incorporated solar panels capture the sunlight and convert it into energy. The windows amaze guests on board with a play of light and shadows, creating even more beautiful living areas. JOY STAR reflects a perfect, harmonious blend between the indoor and outdoor areas. Her aft deck is quite large for the ship of her size, and features a well protected cockpit, perfect for dining, as well as large sunbathing area towards the stern of the yacht. The interior of JOY STAR features modern furniture by well known Italian design houses, such as B&B Italia and Schiffini. Forward the main saloon passed the galley there is a dining room , which opens to the wheelhouse. The dining room can be opened up with large sliding doors to the side deck. There are 6 beds in total, including 3 doubles, 2 singles and 1 pullman. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Whatever your activities on your charter, you'll find some impressive features are seamlessly integrated to help you such as Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing you to stay connected at all times, should you wish. You can stay comfortable on board whatever the weather, with air conditioning during your charter.

Performance & Range

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin MAN engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 1,500 nautical miles from her 6,300 litre fuel tanks. Her low draft of 1.65m/5'5" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard Marcello. Principle among these are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro.
