LUMINANCE is a 138.8 m Motor Yacht, built in Germany by Lurssen and delivered in 2024.

She has a gross tonnage of 8999.0 GT and a 20.0 m beam.

She was designed by Espen Oeino International , who has designed 66 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database.

The naval architecture was developed by Lurssen , who has architected 69 other superyachts in the BOAT Pro database, and the interior of the yacht was designed by Francois Zuretti , who has 204 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a Steel hull, and Aluminium superstructure.

LUMINANCE is in the top 5% by LOA in the world. She is one of 70 motor yachts longer than 100m, and, compared to similarly sized motor yachts, her volume is 1793.86 GT above the average.

LUMINANCE is currently sailing under the Cayman Islands flag, the 2nd most popular flag state for superyachts with a total of 1362 yachts registered. 145m Lürssen superyacht LUMINANCE spotted on sea trials

Lürssen’s highly secretive 145m (475ft) megayacht LUMINANCE  has been spotted undertaking her all-important sea trials near to her build shipyard in Germany.

Although we have scant information about Lurssen ’s latest superyacht, these pictures reveal two helipads, one on her bow and one on her bridge deck aft, as well as a slew of alfresco relaxation and entertainment areas, culminating in a vast swimming pool and adjacent dip pool on her main deck aft.

This leads to a wide swim platform with what appears to be an intimate circular seating area, which will undoubtedly offer beautiful waterside views for her on board guests. 

Set to rank as the 15th largest yacht in the world upon completion, the 9,400 GT motor yacht showcases sleek lines with an elongated bow and cascading aft deck, with a rich midnight blue hull, blonde teak decking and plenty of glazing to enhance the natural light throughout her interior spaces.

Her distinctive exterior styling is from the boards of world-class designer Espen Øino, marking the 30th collaboration between the designer and the shipyard, meanwhile the renowned Italian studio Zuretti is responsible for her interior design.

She will be delivered to her owners at some point in the near future, but at this stage is not expected to be made available for charter.

Lürssen Launches Highly Anticipated 145m 'Luminance'

Iconic German shipyard Lürssen has officially launched the highly secretive 145m superyacht 'Luminance'.

After a two year hiatus, Lürssen 's Luminance  was spotted for the first time this week at the shipyard's facility in Bremen, Germany, and since been seen hitting the water for the first time for its launch.

The project, until now, has been top secret, and is said to be the eighth largest yacht to be built by the shipyard; ranking as the 15th largest yacht in the world.

Sporting a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, construction of Luminance began in 2018, before she was transported for her outfitting in May 2021.

Although details involving her specification are mainly under wraps, she is said to have an internal volume of 9,000 GT, and a beam of 20 metres. 

She was penned by renowned designer Espen Oeino International , marking the 30th collaboration with the shipyard, with naval architecture developed in-house by Lürssen.

Project Luminance is expected to be delivered to her owner later this year, with the 122-metre Project Jag, 90-metre Project 1601, and the 142-metre Project Alibaba also currently underway.

Lürssen unveils Project Luminance: here are the first photos

Yesterday, Lürssen finally unveiled the first (beautiful) pictures of “Project Luminance”, a majestic superyacht whose actual length is however still top-secret.

The shipyard, in fact, continues to keep details tightly under wraps, entrenching itself behind the sybilline definition “a 130 m plus yacht”. Rumours, however, suggest that Project Luminance is expected to be 145 meters long and around 20 meters wide.

Construction on this masterpiece of naval engineering began in 2018 at Lürssen ‘s facility in Bremen , Germany. The patient work of two local photographers makes it possible for us to fortunately admire some of the stages in the construction of this huge superyacht , such as the transport of the two sections to the dry dock.

The 145.0m (475’9″) mega yacht Luminance is the latest and one of the largest superyachts built and launched by the renowned German shipyard, Lurssen Yachts ; a true masterpiece of naval engineering. The exterior of the yacht is designed by Espen Oeino , one of the world’s leading yacht designers, and features a clean and minimalist look. The large decks provide ample space for outdoor living and entertainment, and other features such as a large swimming pool, a gym, and a helipad are present. The yacht’s beam of 18.0m (59’1″) meters provides ample space for her guests, including a huge saloon, a formal dining room and other areas to socialise and relax.

The interiors of the Luminance 145m are designed by Zuretti Interior Design with the accommodation designed to accommodate the owner and guests in a number of luxurious staterooms.

Additional technical details about the yacht might be known in the future, however, projects of this calibre often remain shrouded in secrecy.

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a $456 million megayacht, dubbed “Launchpad,” ahead of his 40th birthday, Page Six reports.

The staggering 387-foot-long vessel was seen floating at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after arriving at its berth earlier this week, The Sun reported Thursday.

The multi-layered luxury ship’s sleek exterior was designed by Espen Øino International and boasts a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, according to Superyacht Times.

Reportedly ranking as the 45th largest yacht in the world, the interiors are just as aesthetically pleasing and reportedly executed by Zuretti Interior Design company, a France-based company specialising in unique and custom yacht design.

The breathtakingly beautiful floater stands out with a navy blue theme matching an American flag perched proudly on its wood-panelled stern.

There are several outdoor areas where the social media maven will be able to relax with his family and the indoor levels feature glass panelling allowing for tons of natural light.

There also appears to be a helipad perfect for whenever the Facebook co-founder wants to travel to his vessel by air. The Feadship-built yacht, built in 2022, can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard, requires a crew of 48, and is said to cost $45 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com.

Boatworld insiders have been buzzing with speculation that Zuckerberg is the owner of the newly minted mega-cruise ever since it made its main voyage from the Netherlands last week.

The tech titan was spotted touring the Russian-commissioned megayacht in early March, though the impressive boat didn’t arrive stateside until this week due to sanctions, according to The Sun.

The website reported that Zuckerberg purchased the pricey yacht – along with its own $45 million partner boat — most likely as an early 40th birthday present to himself.

The boat reportedly travelled to Florida after being granted special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg’s birthday on May 14.
