The price of a Fountaine Pajot power catamaran varies according to the size of the model chosen and your cruising project. IPS engines, fitted on some Fountaine Pajot motor catamarans are designed to offer greater energy efficiency, which translates into better fuel economy compared to other systems of propulsion. The overall design of IPS engines aims to optimise a boat’s performance in terms of speed , manoeuvrability and fuel economy. And of course, IPS engines offer excellent manoeuvrability thanks to steerable propellors, thus facilitating manœuvres in tight spaces like harbours.

Spacious and comfortable when sailing, Fountaine Pajot motor yachts also offer fine cruising speed. Depending on the model and the engine installed on board, they can reach a max speed of 24 knots and 18 knots in fast cruising mode.

Power catamarans are naturally more efficient than monohull power boats . Depending on the model and the engine installed on board, at a high cruising speed, i.e. around 18 knots, motor yachts in the Fountaine Pajot range can reach between 260 and 425 nautical miles. At an “economical” cruising speed, they can reach up to 1000 nautical miles. The Power 67, the Flagship model in the range, can reach up to 4000 nautical miles at economy cruise speed. Thanks to its architecture with two floats and a central suspended platform, its mass is divided by two and better spread. Thinner hulls decrease the Archimedes thrust and require much less energy to move the keel through the water. Half the consumption of a monocoque is the result, increasing the range of motor catamarans for long crossings and long stays at anchor. For the same length, a catamaran gives much more living surface . The great width permits much more spacious cockpit space as well as a huge interior-exterior living space on one level,

My 44 catamaran.

Architecture by Daniel Andrieu and interior design by the Pierangelo Andreani Studio, Fountaine Pajot launched the MY 44 in early 2017 with the promise of it being the shipyard’s most successful power catamaran. True to their word, Fountaine Pajot did unveil a power catamaran with not only an extremely spacious saloon and accommodations but also a remarkably fuel-efficient sailing experience.

DESIGN – INTERIOR & EXTERIOR

Fountaine Pajot completely reconceptualized the use of space on a catamaran. Instead of the traditional transoms, the MY 44 boasts a fixed and a hydraulic teak beach that stretches full beam and is controlled with a remote. From the platform, a couple of steps lead up to the deck from both port and starboard side and then another set of steps lead up to the symmetrical side-decks. The side-decks are wide and well-protected by the rails that come up to about 25 inches.

The forward cockpit of the MY 44 is spacious and consists of two comfortable lounges on each of the sun pads. With no trampoline, the forward cockpit offers a large, unencumbered space for looking out at the sea or relaxing in the sun. The two storage lockers on the forward cockpit are also deep and wide, ideal for storing linens and additional equipment.

Fountaine Pajot has also moved away from the traditional design of the aft cockpit where it also served as a dining area. Now, the cockpit serves primarily as a seating area and appears to be a mere extension of the saloon when the sliding glass door is wide open. The bench seat across the stern faces forward and has storage lockers underneath. It is entirely covered from the top with a drop-down canvas for added protection from the sides.

From the port side of the aft deck, a stylish spiral staircase leads to the flybridge which can easily house up to 8 people for dinner. It features an L-shaped settee wrapped around a wooden desk and a large sun pad that can be converted into seats facing forward. There is also an additional station with a drawer fridge, storage, sink, and a trash case. On the hard-top roof of the flybridge, a shade can be pulled back to reveal a sunroof.

The saloon of the MY 44 is not only commodious but also has considerable headspace. At the direct entrance from the cockpit is a contemporary galley from where the main living area is a step up.

The galley of the MY 44 is U-shaped and has plenty of storage space in the form of cupboards and drawers as well as multiple storage compartments underneath the floor. The countertops are sleek and extensive and are fitted with double stainless steel sinks. The galley is equipped with a convection cooktop, oven, and a full-sized fridge and freezer.

The saloon of the MY 44 is designed in a modern and stylish fashion with a couch to starboard side and an L-shaped settee to port. Surrounded by the settee is a wooden cocktail table which can also be easily converted into an expansive dining table. The saloon enjoys an all-around view of the outside with panoramic windows and is also well-ventilated because of the two opening hatches.

The saloon also has an interior helm station in addition to the exterior helm station. The interior helm station is to the starboard side (like the exterior station) and features a bench seat for two behind the wheel and a large navigation instrument panel, making the station fully-equipped and fully-functional.

All in all, the saloon of the MY 44 is exceedingly impressive due to its clever use of space and the comfort and luxuries it offers.

ACCOMMODATIONS

In the Maestro version of the MY 44 catamaran, there are three cabins in total with the entire port hull dedicated to the owner’s suite.

The owner’s suite in the port hull boasts an exclusive king-sized island bed with lateral access which faces a rectangular window. There is ample storage space within the cabin too in the form of drawers, cupboards, and storage underneath the bed. There are also quite a few storage compartments underneath the floors, seamlessly blended with the flooring. The cabin itself is kept bright and airy with LED spotlights, bedside reading lights, and a large porthole. The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower and head and also offers considerable storage space in the form of cabinets. The bathroom, too, is well-ventilated with a porthole, a deck hatch, and an extractor fan.

The starboard consists of two cabins and two bathrooms with the aft cabin being slightly bigger. The aft cabin has a queen-sized island bed while the forward cabin has twin beds. Both offer storage furniture, bedside reading lights, and ventilation via porthole

ENGINE ROOMS

The MY 44 is powered by standard 260 HP Volvo Penta IPS 350 twin diesel engines. The engine rooms of the catamaran are accessed from the aft cockpit. The starboard engine room also houses a generator and the cruise air system. Both the rooms are neat and spacious, comfortably placed for all the routine maintenance checks.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The overall length of Fountaine Pajot MY 44 is 13.4 meters and it has a beam of 6.61 meters. The full load displacement of the catamaran is 22.5 tonnes. It has a total fuel capacity of 2000 liters and a total freshwater capacity of 700 liters.

Your eyes will immediately be caught by the saloon panoramic windows which propose a striking ocean view, and abundant natural light. The urban and luxurious design seamlessly blends various spaces into a stately and cozy saloon of 39 sqm.

The Power 67 luxurious saloon hospitable area includes a lounge, a dining, a smart helm station and a convenient open galley. Alternatively the galley can be fitted down in port hull in order to offer even more space in the saloon.

Power 67 Charter

• This layout offers 6 double cabins with en-suite bathrooms , 3 in each hull in a symetrical order. 
• When choosing the "Galley down" option , it replaces the port middle cabin, and leaves more room for reception area in the saloon.
• The port rear cabin can optionally offer bunk beds , and might be preferred as a cabin crew or for grown-ups. 
• Both rear cabins are accessible from outside through the cockpit for more privacy. 
• Forepeak cabins with double beds and private bathrooms can be fitted both on port and starboard.

Power 67 Maestro (Owner)

• The major difference is a sensational Owner Suite on starboard, with sofa, desk, and an extensive bathroom with separate shower.
• This layout offers the "Galley down" option for the port mid space, in order to enjoy a more voluminous saloon.
• The "Bunk bed" option in the port rear cabin might be preferred to accommodate crew members or solo passengers.
• Like in the Charter layout,  rear cabins staircases come from the cockpit .
• Both forepeaks can optionally be fitted with double cabins with own bathroom, independently accessible from the front deck.

Specific structure and motorisation of the Power 67 for best performance

Fountaine Pajot designs and builds specific hulls for power catamarans and provides great motorisation, in order to offer the best seaworthiness and great performance in average conditions.

Speed aficionados will also be satisfied with the great performance, thanks to the engines offering a standard 2 x 300 hp and especially with the engine upgrade of 2 x 435 hp.

The POWER 67 combines all the strengths of a power catamaran with Fountaine Pajot’s extensive experience producing award-winning motor yacht and luxury catamarans.  The Power 67 is the Flagship model of Fountaine Pajot’s Motor Yacht range and boasts all the signature features of the shipyard’s highly acclaimed lineup, yet has also inherited the luxury, space and elegance of the stunning Alegria 67 sailing catamaran.

The Power 67 is synonymous with uncompromising luxury where space and comfort equate with elegance and dynamic vision. The power catamaran has distinctive slender thoroughbred lines and a contemporary, more rounded asymmetric interior style in keeping with the latest trends. Her 36m² cockpit is designed for unforgettable social occasions, opening fully onto the lounge with several sunbathing spots, a galley with a plancha grill and a dining setting to cater for a large number of guests.

The Power 67’s vast 32m² Flybridge, foredeck with optional Jacuzzi, and Owner suite are simply remarkable and all enjoy direct access from the saloon.

Fountaine Pajot has designed a number of interior layouts for the Power 67 to suit an extensive range of individual needs, including long distance cruises (Long Cruise catamaran with transatlantic range), the simple desire to enjoy a day out on the water, or even host a special occasion onboard while at anchor.

Available in a long galley version or a galley beautifully incorporated into the saloon, the Power 67 delivers generous 5-star luxury space that is bold, modern and eminently stylish. Incredible 360° views are afforded through panoramic windows throughout the power catamaran, and her premium quality design and trims help usher in the natural light and further enhance the serenity and comfort of the living areas.

In the Owner’s version, the Power 67 suite is a dedicated 22m² private apartment featuring a capacious dressing room with sofa. An exclusive door to the front Cockpit provides convenient exterior access while retaining privacy, and the Owner’s bathroom epitomizes luxury at sea with a spectacular walk-in shower and designer twin vanities.

The price of a Fountaine Pajot sailing catamaran varies according to the size of the model chosen and your sailing project. Innovative, high-tech composite materials constitute most of the structure of our sailing catamarans: hulls, flybridge, decks, bulkheads and more. Fountaine Pajot has perfected a resin injection and infusion technique, an advanced technology that gives our boats all their robustness. Thanks to this expertise, we can make our catamarans considerably lighter while maintaining consistent quality . Injection also makes it possible to meet the most stringent environmental requirements, in line with the commitments of the Fountaine Pajot Group.

Sailing catamarans from 40 to 50 feet are built at the Aigrefeuille headquarters, a few kilometres from La Rochelle. Catamaran yachts from 51 to 80 feet are built in La Rochelle, France, where they benefit from a slipway.

It is essential to define your sailing program: define the size of the crew on board, the level of sailing knowledge, the sailing project and the target sailing area. Every project is different. The ergonomics of Fountaine Pajot catamarans have been designed to facilitate manoeuvring at the helm, enabling a small crew (2 persons) to manoeuvre the boat easily, both in port and at sea. The unique design of the helm station allows good communication between the aft cockpit and the Fly relaxation areas. Of course, your level of navigation will determine your ability to sail with two or more persons!

Our electric catamarans now feature a large surface area of solar panels, up to 2000 WC, perfectly integrated into the design of the coachroof. Combined with equipment such as wind turbines or hydro-generators, they compensate for the energy consumption generated by on-board use during cruising. Welcome aboard this 2019 Fountaine Pajot MY 40! This 3 cabin/2 head power cat is perfect for your next  Key West adventure . Her Volvo IPS 500 motors are great for getting to the Dry Tortugas and back.

Pegasus is equipped with a GARMIN radar, IPS Pilot, AIS VHF, second handheld VHF, and aft camera, aft hydraulic platform, solar panels, and RIB dinghy.

Her fully equipped galley and fly bridge make life aboard easy with an electric grill, combination microwave oven, fridge and freezer, ice-maker, dishwasher and washer dryer.

Additional amenities include Flat screen TV, WiFi amplifier, BOSE audio video pack, and extra 110V outlets. With the new MY40, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts pushes the limits of the possible even further, by striking the perfect balance between your demands for performance and comfort.

The power catamaran MY40 is exclusively equipped with Volvo IPS propulsion systems, in 400 or 500 versions. The experience the IPS systems guarantee is vibration-free, therefore even quieter, with better handling and lower fuel consumption.

Thanks to the step along its stems, the MY40 can offer large volumes inside while maintaining high-performance hulls. And with its on-board technology, the MY40 provides outstanding navigation from both cockpits, with a low environmental impact and with uncompromising comfort and complete safety.

With a length of 12.35 metres, its living spaces are much larger than those of a monohull of the same size. Whether it be its hydraulic platform at the rear, its spacious front sunbathing area or its magnificent 17 m2 relaxation area on the flybridge, all the Motor Yacht MY 40’s outdoor spaces are dedicated to your well-being. The layout of the “L” shaped living spaces has been designed to meet your preference for a more welcoming and friendly setting.

The large bays of the saloon allow you to remain in tune with the outside, as does the panoramic view at the front of the saloon, which gives the impression that the horizon is within reach.
