Learn about Biloxi history, the seafood industry's importance to the local economy and the wildlife that call the Mississippi Sound home on a cruise aboard the Betsy Ann Riverboat. The boat, which accommodates up to 70 passengers, operates a variety of cruises year-round. One of the most popular is the two-hour Historical and Ecological Tour, which travels in the Mississippi Sound and around the barrier islands on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico – areas where you might glimpse wildlife like dolphins or pelicans. The tour, which travels between the city and Deer Island, is offered year-round Wednesday through Sunday at 3 p.m. It focuses on local history and the ecology of the Mississippi Sound. Meanwhile, the Hibachi Dinner Cruise, which is offered on select evenings from March through November, features the scenery of the Gulf Coast and a dinner prepared on board. The seasonal Sunset Eco-Tour may head to the sound or Biloxi Bay, depending on the weather. Cruises featuring live music also operate seasonally.

Cruise passengers typically find the excursions enjoyable and the captain's narration informative. Those who opt for the dinner cruise consistently call the food excellent.

Prices vary depending on which tour you take, but generally start at around $25 for adults, $17 for children 4 to 12 and $10 for infants for the afternoon and evening eco-tours. Tickets for the dinner cruises cost around $55 for adults, $40 for children and $10 for infants. Private charters are also available. Cruise around Biloxi Bay on a paddlewheel riverboat.

The Betsy Ann Riverboat is a tour and cruise vessel allowing visitors to tour the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of  Biloxi, Mississippi. This riverboat offers historical and ecological cruises, sunset cruises, dinners cruises, tiki boat cruises, and even private charters. Depending on your selected package, pricing ranges from $25 to $55 per person. It is best to reserve your cruise or tour ahead of time, so visit their website for the most up-to-date tour schedule.

You’ve booked your trip. Now, you need to head over to the docks. The Riverboat Cruises are located at 173 Beach Blvd. in Biloxi. If you get a bit turned around, that spot sits in between the Golden Nugget Casino and the Margaritaville Resort !

Mississippi Gulf Coast Boat Tours’ Captain & Sailboat

Mississippi gulf coast boat tours.

We offer 2.5-hour cruises but you are welcome to add additional time. Our cruises are limited to 6 passengers. We will depart Bay Saint Louis Municipal Harbor and sail in the Mississippi Sound between our Barrier Islands and the coastline. The duration of the cruise will determine how far we will be able to travel. All of our cruises come with light food and beverages. You are permitted to bring your own food and drinks – but please bring a soft sided cooler onboard.

A captain and a trusty mate will see to your every need. If you would like historical and ecological tidbits, the captain is well prepared to educate. He might even let you take the wheel for a photograph. We will have opportunity to see a variety of coastal wildlife; bottle nose dolphin, brown pelicans, great blue herons, osprey and fish as we sail out of the Bay.

We are looking forward to seeing friends of the Betsy Ann Riverboat and making new friends of the Noble Lady. We were so sad to see the Betsy Ann Riverboat leave, but a medical condition in the family compelled us to sell her. We are still continuing our love of the water, just on a more personal level.

Captain Michael White

Michale has had a Master of Sailing for 30 years, 500-ton Master, and Unlimited Master of Towing licenses. Michael and his wife Dayna are the previous owners of Betsy Ann Riverboat and the Twisted Tiki Boat on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Michael grew up sailing on the coast and trained throughout the United States racing one design sailboats as well as PHRF racing.  Most of his sailing was in the Bay Saint Louis and Gulfport areas.

He graduated from St Stanislaus High School in 1985 and joined the US Navy after high school where he worked on guided missile radar systems.  After the Navy, Michael began working at a start-up computer company in Iowa, Gateway 2000.  He worked his way up from production to corporate sales.  With another winter approaching, he left Gateway and returned home to pursue his true love and become a boat captain.

Michael has never met a stranger and will provide historical, ecological, and personal stories to entertain our guests.  He is also ordained to perform wedding ceremonies.
